The Hunt

All she could do was roll her eyes at his comment about her name. Honestly she was glad it didn't sound intimidating. It wasn't like she wanted the life of a hunter anyways. He started going on about how he came to be in the forest which she had no idea what this had to do with the terms of their deal until he was finished. Just like that she was now getting the demon's life story. She had stopped walking, and she couldn't believe what she was hearing. When the ground shook she started to panic a little thinking she was about to die, but then it stopped just like that and she was just a bit shaken. He would only let her out if she would make a contract with him. With a sigh she pinched the bridge of her nose. "You realize if I make a pact with you, then I won't be able to go home. I'll have had to have disappeared. Even if you disguised yourself my family would figure it out. And frankly I rather be claimed dead compared to disgraced even more so by my parents." A wind chill came through making her shiver and rub over her arms. "How do we go about making the contract. I'm in, I just want out of here." Reluctantly she agreed knowing she at least had the chance to kill him by the time this was done, but what if his thirst for knowledge would never be quenched.

Azaziel's eyes glew the brightest red. "you do realize if you form a contract with me there are a few conditions that will be placed upon the two of us." Azaziel lowered his arm and paced around her. "firstly the fact that your parents find out is irrelevant, i want to experience how your life turns out i'm already...emotionally involved" Azaziel chuckled at his little pun. "If you make a contract with me it will seem as though you have captured a high class demon and forced me into a master/servant contract this will make your parents proud of you giving them piece of mind. However in reality you will be my minion." Azaziel placed his hand tword the sky a red light started to emit from his hand, glowing blue runes appeared out of thin air circling the two. "there are a few other minor details but we will cross that bridge when we get to it. now shake my hand and the deal will be done."

That part relieved her knowing that they could trick her parents so she could at least say goodbye with out being shamed, but being as old as she was she was ready to get out from her parents wings to fly with her own. Finally simply rolled her eyes not finding his pun amusing or appropriate. When the sky went read she looked up to see glowing runes surround them

When she looked back at him he held his hand out ready for her to shake. With a sharp glare she reluctantly shook his hand sealing the contract.

Azaziel waited for her to shake his hand as she did the runes over head flowed into Azaziel's and Fionna's bodies. Azaziel's grip tightened as he starred blankly back at Fiona. "this may hurt a bit." the runes floated down onto her forearm and started to burn into her skin, three runes burnt themselves onto Fiona's arm glowing a light pink color. Azaziel's grip tightened as his transformation started he was surrounded by black mist as sparks of electricity shot out of the cloud.

As the cloud faded Azaziel's body had changed. anime-boy-and-wine-free-728208.jpg

"damn those angelic bastards. They couldn't even allow me to keep my own appearance upon leaving this wretched Forrest." Azaziel stood up a rune burned into his chest. "now the contract is done."

On the bottom of her forearm there was a burning sensation making her close her eyes. It felt like she was being stabbed all over her body making her yell. When it was over and the pain subsided she opened her eyes slowly to see his appearance was hardly demon like aside from his white hair. Then she saw there was a mark on her arm. "Can we go now? I really want to get out of here" she let go of her hand that felt sore from how hard he had gripped her. Suddenly she felt a little dizzy like much of the energy was sapped from her. Going to take a step she stumbled right into Azaziel.

Azaziel saw that it was to much for Fionna to handle she lost her balance right into his arms. "i warned you it would hurt." Azaziel really wanted to leave the forest but couldn't without Fionna he decided it would be for the best to sit and recuperate. Azaziel sat down slowly with Fionna in his arms he placed her head on his lap as he stretched and looked up at the night sky. "i waited several hundreds of years, whats another few minuets? Feel better then we'll get going."

Azaziel couldn't help but grin, although he lost his demon form he finally had a way out, he could finally get all of his questions answered, he could do everything he wanted to do and his key was Fionna. He looked down, 'i guess i need to keep her safe until i am satisfied, then she can release me from this curse of consciousness.'

"I'm fine" She said trying to move away from him but the world was spinning too much for her to do much. Next thing she knew her head was on his lap and her eyes were fluttering closed. Unexpectedly she fell asleep almost instantly which she didn't even think was possible. Her hand moved to his leg in her sleep and gripped his pants like it was a sheet on a bed. A half hour went by and as she slept small noises like little girly groans would make their way from her throat. Her eyes fluttered back open and she sat up rubbing her one eye and yawning. "Sorry, I didn't mean to snooze off" With that she stood up and stretched, her shirt showing a little bit of her stomach until she put her arms down and fixed it. "which way do we go to get out of here?" She questioned looking around then at Azaziel.

Azaziel was surprised when she suddenly sprang up. "I didn't mind, you could sleep longer if you want, I don't sleep so I was watching the process." Azaziel stood up a snapped his fingers as the thick brush cleared revealing a pathway. "This way, master." He said almost sounding sarcastic. "As I thought my demonic pride will make this difficult." Azaziel grabbed her arm making the runes face up. "Before we leave make sure you never let anyone see these. As long as my runes are the only one visible, people will believe i'm your servant."

She ignored all of his comments knowing they would only infuriate her, and right now she was actually relaxed so it'd be nice to keep it that way for a little while. With glee in her gut they finally got out of the forest after a walk that didn't seem to be as long as it should have been. Once they were out of the forest was when Fiona took charge of direction since she knew exactly where to go. It was a walk that lasted until morning, but they made it to her home by the time the sun had risen a ways. If Fiona had to guess it was around 9 in the morning. The house she called home was essentially a huge mansion with the only houses surrounding it for miles was all part of her own family. She made her way inside with the demon. Normally a demon wouldn't be able to pass into their house due to repellent spells, but since he was contracted to Fiona, in other words, 'her tamed demon' he was able to get in. When her mother saw her she rushed to her daughter giving her a hug asking where she went. Fiona was a little cold to her parents letting them know she heard them talking. When they looked at the demon they realized she had managed to tame such a powerful being. She went off with her parents to talk telling Azaziel to wait in the library which one of their house maids fearfully showed him where it was.

Her discussion with her parents wasn't a light one. She had to tell them that she couldn't be a hunter, that her real dream was dancing. After a long discussion they would just have to deal with it. When the conversation was finished she went to go check on her demon.

Azaziel followed, he was surprised to see she came from such a grand house. They entered the main gate that had been charmed by a protective spell which he was surprised he could pass through. They were greeted by several house keepers then finally her parents. True hunters their killing intent grew the second they saw him. "Good morning, Mister and Missus." Azaziel followed orders and waited in the library.

The house keeper was nervous continually rubbing the silver cross on her neck. Azaziel thought he should have a little fun. "My that is a darling neckless you have there, do you mind?" Without waiting for permission Azaziel grabbed her chain and held it in his hand, his skin started to smoke as the chain started to burn him. "This type of trinket may be enough for weaker demons however." Azaziel backed her into the wall his eyes glowing bright red. The housekeeper looked at her necklace which was no longer burning him. "I'm way stronger, than any other demon you've ever seen."

Azaziel quickly moved away from the housekeeper to the other end of the room as the door opened. The house keeper was pale as she excused herself practically running out. "She seemed rather ill, someone should check on her."

A heavy sigh left her as she walked through the familiar halls. When she got to the library she was almost worried about the maid she had escort him. When she first walked in she had no idea where her demon buddy was, so she just started to look around. Many of the servants or people stationed in the area were all on one side of the library which was beyond odd. Then she realized why, they all were avoiding Azaziel who was in the non fiction section. "Found you. And quit scaring the servants for heavens sake."

"I'm going to my room. I have some relaxing and dance lessons to get here. Hopefully I can trust you to stay out of trouble. You should have plenty of books to keep you busy."

Azaziel nodded as he was thumbing through a book. "By the way master" Azaziel made an unpleasant face. "I will need to feed soon. Shall I assume I can have which ever maiden I so choose." Azaziel looked at the staff as they looked back at him in horror. He licked his lips as his claws grew. "Which one should I choose."

Her eyes went wide and her mouth gaped open in disbelieve. The expression probably amused him, so she recomposed herself and looked at the maids. A master allowing their demon to feed off of them wasn't abnormal, but it certainly wasn't commonly done. The last thing Fiona would want is anyone in the house having to suffer because of her bond. She grabbed his hand yanking him out of the library and to an empty guest room. The maids already knew what she was doing and they thanked and blessed her as she dragged her demon along. She firmly pointed her finger at him, her dark eyes glaring at him. "You are not to feed or harm anybody in this house. The only person you can feed from is me as long as we're here. When we leave I can't stop you...but I don't want to see or hear about you feeding, got it?"

Azaziel"S eyes started to glow a bright red as the blinds closed, the doors locked and every nook and craney was covered. "Now hear me false master, i am no vampire I cannot be satisfied with mere blood. I am a high level demon. I need to consume a person's essence, their lifeforce, their..." AzazielS voice got low as he whispered in Fiona ear. "Their soul."

Azaziel waited for his words to sink in before posing his question. "Do you really want me to feed off of your soul before you experienced your dreams of dancing? Or should I feed of another whose only existence is to serve your family?"

She stopped registering what she had heard. Self sacrifice was a big decision, but she figured as long as he doesn't kill her while feeding from her it should be fine. Fiona put on her bravest face looking him right in his glowing red eyes. "I'm the one that brought you here. No one is going to suffer in this house for my own selfish desires." As she spoke fear flashed through her eyes, but it wasn't the only thing. There was a certain spark that lit up her eyes as she continued to offer herself up to the demon. All she could hope for was that she would be able to remain strong. "The people who serve my family are just as important to me as the family itself." Her voice was steady as a rock when she spoke, but her eyes said everything she would never admit to.

"Liar!!!" The room shook. "Who do you think you're speaking to." AzazielS voice boomed throughout the room. "I can see through your false bravery. I can see the fear of death, the hope that I won't kill you, the warm memories of your servants. But allow me to show you something." Azaziel raised his had and placed it on her forehead. "Now see those so called loved ones, cheating, stealing, lying. They are unworthy of your sacrafice."
Azaziel showed her images of her servants in different acts ranging from stealing to making fun behind her back. "Now allow me to show you something else." Azaziel showed her an image of her dancing, while crowds were surrounding her as she was being sucked into the image she started to slow down. The image turned dark as she falls onto the stage. Her arms and legs start to shrivel as she ages well beyond her years. "Is this the future you want" the vision ends as Azaziel releases her.

Fiona's brows furrowed and she became angry, but before she could defend them he out his hand to her head. Her eyes went wide when she was shown these horrid images straight out of her nightmares. Tears welled up in her eyes and when he pulled his hand away she fell to her knees with her entire body shaking as she hugged herself. Unable to get the images out of her head she picked up a wooden chair that was at the bedroom desk as she got up. She threw it at him, it partially broke when it hit, and she darted out of the room then out of the house. She went to a place she always used to when she was a kid. It was an old oak tree that had some low branches for her to climb on. The images raced through her head , she continued to cry even as she climbed the old tree. On a branch that was wide enough for her to sit on she put her back to the trunk and pulled her knees to her chest, wrapped her arms around her knees, just crying.

Azaziel let the chair hit him, it was all for his better understanding of being a human. As he watched her run off he felt an uneasiness in his stomach. "Another odd, feeling I don't understand." Azaziel searched the mansion for Fiona ad he did he felt as if someone was watching him. "Just like a world class hunter, I couldn't even sense you until you let your killing intent slip out".

Fionna'S mother stepped out of the shadows as she put away her dagger. "Why did you cause my daughter such grief monster?" Damien turned and faced her. "Forgive me huntress it was not my intention to cause harm to your daughter, it was simply a. What do you humans say? That's right a miscommunication." Fionnas mother approached Azaziel. "I don't know what kind of trick you put on my daughter? Or even what kind of demon you are but. If you hurt her." She charged at him pressing him against the wall dagger to his throat. "I'll skin you alive, rip you apart, and then I'll start to really punish you."

Fionna'S mother left Azaziel in the hall he reached for his neck that had been cut slightly by her blade. He drug his finger across his neck to wipe up the blood, he the licked the blood off his finger. "So that's motherly love" He smiled " I'm learning so much.

After a half hour of sitting there in her tree she had finally calmed down. She wiped the tears from her face, but her eyes were still red and puffy. If she went home now it would be to obvious that she had been upset, so for now she would just sit there looking out to the pasture of tall green grass with the wind blowing through it. With a sigh a whole hour later she climbed down from her tree. Now that her face was presentable she would walk back to the house. It was starting to get late in the evening, so the sun was starting to set. Before she went inside she went around to the gardens and picked a few vegetables to munch on as she just wondered. It was another half hour until she decided to go back inside. When she did she went to the kitchens to grab her plate of food before it made it to the table. Tonight she didn't feel like eating with anybody, so she took her plate to the window room.

It was chilly in the room since one entire wall was all glass. The room by this point was dark since she hadn't bothered with turning on the light. The juicy seasoned meat was what she was picking at that and her buttered piece of bread. The bread was gone in no time, and the meat was half gone. There was a feeling in her stomach and she looked up to see Azaziel's red eyes and black figure in the moonlit room. Even with a waning moon there was some light especially since just the night before it was a full one. Fiona just looked down and started to eat her potatoes.
