The Haunted Hotel

Kiera turned to look at Leone just in time to see his expression. Great, nice going Kiera. You offended him. That's why you don't talk much with him. She scolded herself mentally. "No need to worry. I'll escort you. What's the room you were again?" she asked the mother. You really should let them be. An escort? You? Her subconscious was taunting her.

Marcus turned his attention to the woman who appeared beside him. He looked her up and down before speaking. "Guess you don't work here, huh?" He turned his attention back tot he counter and pressed down on the bell once more before giving up. "At least I have a lovely woman to keep me company for the time being. That storm was brutal." He continued saying just trying to break the ice. He was cold and drenched but his mannerism did not change.

Out of no where the empty hallway came to life as more voices and people came into the picture. Marcus was about to announce that he would get his own key and find his own room when another woman came over to the two and asked if he needed help. "I would love a room. As you can see I have to get out of these wet clothes." he answered while expressing with his arms his outfit.

The women looked to him curiously. "ah no sorry" she said as he asked if she worked there. "ah.." She said in surprise at his last comment. A bright blush appearing on the young women's face. She just smiled and laugh softly.

The little girl gasped as they appeared out of no where. Wondering if that was magic. She smiled happily. "Mama!" She ran over and hugged the women's waist. The lady look up. "ah thank you so much" she said with a gentle smile and picking up her daughter. She looked a bit confused when she said that but nodded. She smiled and looked back to the man. "goodbye sir" she never got his name but she walked with the small girl to their room to tuck her into bed.

Marcus smiled at the child and its mother as they were "escorted" to their room before reaching around the counter and grabbing a set of keys from the wall. Room #116, "Perfect." He whispered before turning around hoping to find his bearings of the hotel. The thought of why he was even here did not penetrate to the front of his head because of his damped attire. The cold of the weather and hotel were also keeping a freeze barrier from his purpose. The first order of business would be to find his room and take a warm shower. The hunt would just have to wait...

It wasn't more than fifteen minutes before he found the door to his room and placed the key into the lock. The door slowly opened leading him into a beautifully done suite. A large living area with green and gold carpet filled the entire floor with a love seat and couch. A small bar was in the far left and a sliding door led to a patio. The bedroom was just as huge with a large master bed in the center. Marcus smirked before shedding his clothes and walking into the bathroom. "Some times its great to be a king." He said before turning on the water and taking a long warm shower.

When he was finished he called the front desk for the service to dry his clothes. He had wrapped his towel around his waist before reaching over at the bar and mixing himself a cocktail. Reached into his trench coat and pulled out a smoke and lit it. He took a deep puff and sat back on the couch, waiting for the help to pick up his clothes.

Plans of his next move was beginning to form in his head. It wasn't shortly after his first sip of his drink that it began to form. All of his work was already half finished. He had briefly met his target before checking in. It confirmed all his hard work and he was ever close to getting paid. He was just going to continue the perks of the job a little longer before he would make his move.

Sara and Stephany emerged from the stuffy closet, both pale and shaky.
"Sorry..." Stephany said meekly.
"It's fine. Let's just hope that...oh, no..."
th

Sierra Johannson meekly entered the hotel. "Anybody...here...?"
Sara gave the death glare to Stephany and hastily put a curse on the old man so he could shut up.
"Never mind...I'll serve myself..."

(sorry been busy with festivities)

The women Sara let Angel fall asleep in the bed, making sure she was tucked in and sleeping soundly. She sighed and opened her suitcase. She bit her lower lip and looked back at the girl before opening a small bag that had a bunch of money. She wondered if it was wrong to run away from that man, but she didn't want her daughter to grow up that way. The women took a quick shower. She pulled on a pair of shorts and a tank top. Her hair in a pony tail. She paused as she heard a noise and walked to the door. Peeking out. "hello?" She said. There was no one. She slowly began to walk out a little but still saw no one. She looked back to her daughter and made sure she was sleeping. "I wonder if there is a bar here" she said after putting on a sweater and shoes. Bringing the key with her. Angel stayed asleep under her blankets. Hugging a teddy bear.

It was not long before The help came and took his clothes to dry. They left him a new outfit for the inconvenience. He finished his drink before putting on his new outfit. A white dress shirt which he button up to the collar and folded his sleeves up to his elbows. Marcus put on his black dress pants and then his shoes while starring into a full size mirror to see how it looked on him. he smiled, the perks were great impaired to other jobs where he had to sleep in a ditch just to get close to his next target. Tucking his Beretta into the back of his pants, behind his shirt, he checked his watch and spoke out loud. "It has to be five o'clock somewhere." He grabbed his room key and walked out into the hallway deciding on going to the bar for a round of drinks.

Sara sat at the bar. She was the only one there besides the bartender who was old and a bit creepy. She bit her lower lip and sighed. Thinking about what she was going to do after this. Thinking about going back home to Chicago instead of new York. She spoke to the bartender. "whiskey on the rocks" she said softly. The bartender slowly nodded and made her drink. She took it and sipped slowly. Turning on her phone and her eyes widened at all the calls he had sent her. Making a slightly fearful face before quickly turning it off again. "I can't go home he would expect me to go there" she whispered to herself.

On his way to the bar, Marcus could tell that the hotel had a sort of creepiness to it. It's interior was a mix of modern and an age when the hotel was first established. What it needs is a little tidings up he thought as he saw a few cob webs. That was when he recalled a website of information about the hotel when he was researching where his target may have gone. The website dealt with supernatural things, thing Marcus knew nothing about. Things for Marcus' sake were not real.
He made it to the bar parlor room to see it was empty except for one other patron like himself and the barkeep. He pulled up a seat next to the woman and asked for a whiskey straight up and turned his attention to the woman. "I believe we met earlier..at the front desk. The name is Marcus and you are?" He asked trying to gain information but also to be cordial. In the back of mind he was grinning. Christmas it would seem was coming early this year.

Leone had ventured off into the depths of the hotel, reverting back to his shadow form to save his energy. Staying in the physical plane took a lot out of the spirit, as did moving about with those magic girls. A sad tiredness seeped from the shapeless form as it drifted down the dark halls. Spotting the man from the lobby heading down a hall, the spirit pulled himself back together into his physical form. He casually followed a good distance behind the man, being careful not to get too close. Leone stopped outside the bar, listening and taking in the energy of the situation going on inside. The man, Marcus, was looking for someone. That's what he got the feeling of, at least. The mother, she was trying to get away from someone. She'd gotten a small amount of sympathy from the spirit.

Sierra floated almost dreamily to the bar as Sara and Stephany backed away from each other. One more person and...boom.

"Hello," she whispered to the other people already there.

Sara sipped her whiskey, looking off to the side til she heard the mans voice. she looked up, her brown eyes locking with his for a moment before quickly looking away. "ah I am Sara nice to meet you Marcus" she held out her hand, shaking his hand. She felt a weird vibe from him but said nothing. "so what brings you here?" she asked curiously with a soft smile on her lips. she then heard a voice and looked back curiously. Her eyes widened in surprise. "oh hello" she hadn't noticed the girl there.

"Sara? I have a little sister named Sara," Sierra said with a smile. "She's seventeen. And my big sister, Stephany...well...she's..." Sierra watched Stephany walk over and chug down a barrel of beer, then screaming drunkenly at the barman-something about cows. "...interesting..." Sierra looked away from her big sister.
