Name: Peter Euryale.
Superhero Name: The Vanguard.
Age: 21.
Gender: Male.
Side: Hero.
Powers: By maintaining eye contact (both ways) with another person Peter can paralyze them. However once eye contact is broken then the effects wear off. Peter can't use it on the same person more than once. Peter cannot perform this in the dark as he can't see the other person's eyes. Peter can only perform this power roughly once a day, needing around twenty-four hours to replenish. He can maintain this power for around four minutes. He requires the use of both eyes to do this and attempts with only one eye proved to have no effect, yet. The power damages Peter' sight for a period, rendering his eyesight blurry if used for a small duration or even leaving him blind for sometime if he used his power for a longer duration. Furthermore the use of his powers causes pain over extended or repeated uses. He has yet to discover if it can work off a reflection or through glass.
Skills: Good tactician and strategist despite struggling to predict how others will react. Persistent. Careful.
Personality: For the most part he is intelligent and cunning. Although Peter has very little experience with people, not only making social interactions awkward but he also struggled to predict other people's reactions. Often he is cold and tries to push other people away. This is mostly because he spent his childhood being bullied at school only to come home at an abusive mother. Additionally he never met his father until he entered high school. Peter feels that he is vulnerable when having to improvise.
Background: His mother left his father when he was three and he doesn't remember the time when both parents were together. Peter was raised with his two older brothers by an abusive mother. At the time of entering high school his brothers and him met their father, who they then went to live with. They had escaped the wickedness of their mother. But her later return to their lives has caused Peter no end of pain and fear. So in an attempt to help others who suffer like himself Peter became a vigilante. For the past year he has been cleaning up his home town of Bien Sombre (a fictional town in Ohio, America) as a hero now known as "the Vanguard". As one of the first heroes it took a while for people to see him as anything more than a vigilante who hurts people, even now he struggles with the public's view of the Vanguard.
Weapons: 2x Straightstick (Riot baton) - Approximately 36-inch (91 cm) long. Made of steel. Peter uses batons as weapons so that he can still defend himself without having to administer lethal force. Just like his mask, he keeps many spares stocked up in a rented apartment.
