The Great Fantasy

"I like it," she said, giving him a thumbs up. "It makes you look more attractive, if you don't mind me saying." She smiled and blushed gently.

When he went to change, Riley had looked over the dresses. She chose two and had waited for him to pay and come over. Once he was there, she lifted the two dresses. Both were form fitting, except one was ankle-length and dark blue. The other was just above the knee and a very nice purple-ish colour.

"Which one should I try on?" she asked, looking at them both.

Both of the dresses would compliment her curvy figure, but he wasn't sure which to choose. In the end he pointed at the ankle length dress, "You'll look more classy" He said, giving a little bow. Concealing the real reason, is that the other dress would give her more male attention, ultimately making her leave him, and he liked the company. "I'll wait outside" he said with a smile, dropping some money into her hand and leaving quickly out of the door.

Riley nodded and smiled, going to pay for the dress. She got it wrapped and left the shop.

"I'd put my dress on, but I'd rather change back at the inn. I don't really like changing in the shops," she said.

Riley looked around. "Do you want to somewhere else?"

"Ah understandable" He nodded, it was getting less packed around the town.
"I have nowhere specific I wish to go milady" he said with a smile, "how about you?" He enquired.

"Me neither."

Riley turned to him. "Unless you want to go get lunch, I suppose we can go back to the inn."

He looked at Riley, "Hmm, perhaps we should go back to the Inn for a while, it's getting quite cold." He said, as he noticed the slight chill in the air.

She shivered a little and nodded. Riley pulled on the leather jacket he had given her. "You're right. Let's go," she said. Riley smiled at him a little and began walking slowly, waiting for him to come and walk alongside her.

He saw Riley shiver and quickly caught up to her, walking at her pace, putting his arm around her to offer what little warmth he had in his body to her. The went through the middle of town, it was warmer there because there was various other people there, so it would be much warmer there way through. It was a short walk back, and they reached the inn within five or ten minutes.

As they walked, Riley had reached her hand up to touch his as he put his arm around her. He was cold, but not too cold. She liked the feeling of his arms around here.

When they reached the inn, Riley looked around. Not many people were around, so she looked up at Faroh. "I told you I would use a spell on you," she whispered. With that said, Riley sent a small shock into his body. It was a gentle shock, just enough to make him jump slightly, but not enough to hurt at all.

She put her arms around him and laughed gently. "I'm sorry again Faroh, but I told you I'd get you back for pushing me into the water."

Riley felt a shock in his body and jumped, dammit, he thought to himself, for he knew it had been Riley who had done it, before she proceeded to apologize, reminding him how she had said she would get him back, with a smile.
She then threw her arms around him softly, she laughed gently, Faroh was tempted to kiss her there and then, but he refrained himself, with great difficulty.
"Come" He told her, taking her hand and guiding her upstairs to their room.

She smiled and held his hand gently as they went up to their room. "Mr. Faroh, I must compliment you," she said as they entered the room. "I really like the way you look in the shirt you got today."

She smiled a little, still holding his hand.

Faroh smiled, feeling a little flustered as they entered the room, well, what was left of it, the place had been turned upside down. Crap, Faroh thought to himself, pulling Riley behind him as there was someone over by the bed, turning, it was a guard. We were having a moment too, he thought to himself, this angered him, as he knows what would've happened? The Guard was facing them now.

"HALT!" He ordered, "There's a warrant to arrest you two." Faroh's acute hearing heard several more guard's entering the building from the front and back entrance.

Riley got a look at the room before Faroh pulling her back. She could hear the guard inside shout and say there was a warrant. She could hear footsteps pounding up the stairs.

She held Faroh's arm tightly, her eyes widening. "Faroh... We're trapped... We... Can't get away," she whispered.

She could use her powers, but even along with Faroh's agility and strength, they would still be caught. Riley's mind was washed over by thoughts of them getting caught and probably executed. She looked around, trying to find a way to escape.

But as the first guards appeared at the top of the stairs, Riley realized it might be too late for escape. "Faroh..." she whispered quietly. Not a plea for him to do something, but as if she was apologizing. After all, if he hadn't helped her with those men the other night, he would not have been in the situation they were in now.

Faroh blamed himself for this, as it was his fault they where here right now, had he not intervened a few nights ago, he turned deathly cold, ironic really, considering he was dead, when he realized the seriousness of the situation, they would probably be put to death. The two of them were chained in the middle of the village and put in a carriage escorted by about 6 guards, Faroh judged by the smell.

As he thought this the carriage started, probably on it's way to the city. Not aware of those in the surrounding forest, those who had their eye on the carriage.

Riley was curled up in a corner of the carriage. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she looked up at Faroh. "I'm sorry, this is all my fault," she said, her voice little more than a whisper. She shook her head, sighing. "If I had let you go that morning after you helped me, you wouldn't be here right now."

She swallowed hard as a sob threatened to come up her throat. "You shouldn't have helped me," she said, looking down. "It's all my fault..." Riley repeated.

Faroh tried to reach over but couldn't, as the coach they were in stuttered from side to side as a barrage of arrows slammed into one of it's side, through cracks in the wood he could see blood squirting everywhere and members of the guard falling down, dead. This aggravated him slightly, as he had not eaten for a day now, no blood anyway, his eyes turning slightly red. Breaking the chains which bound his hands he walked over towards Riley and yanked her chains, shattering them in the process, sneaking out of the opposite side into the forest.

Riley looked up at the sound of arrows hitting the carriage. "What's that?" she asked. Faroh broke her chains and they went out into a forest. "Faroh..." she said as she ran after him. "Do you know what's going on?" she asked.

He looked at her, considering her question. "No, I have no idea, probably a bandit attack, but I wan't going to take the chance and stay there and find out, if your wondering about how I could break the chains, basically, the longer I go without blood, the stronger my vampirism gets." Letting this information sink in he continued, "And we should quicken our pace" picking Riley up like a bride, and continued running, deep into the forest.

Riley blushed as he took her into his arms. "Oh... Do you need blood...?" she asked as he ran. She held onto him tightly, her heart beating slightly faster. She leaned back, looking behind his shoulder to see if anyone was following them. "Faroh, we should make a shelter somewhere and stay her 'til tomorrow," Riley suggested quietly.

Faroh kept running with her in his arms, untill he came across a lake, in the distance he spotted a cave they could stay in, he pointed this out to Riley as he put her down, "Sorry about that" He said, rather flustered at the fact he had just carried her in his arms. He walked over to the lake, taking some water in his hand and drinking it, it refreshed him greatly.
