The Goddess Power

Elaine gave Seray a puzzling look, but didn't question her. Instead, she wrapped her arms around Seray in a hug. She had no idea what was going on at all. Here she was with Seray and Takuya was no where around. It was even worse that Takuya was not with her. That was not like him. He never left Seray alone, not even for a second. The was also the hint that Sery was lying about Takuya. The way she stuttered and that story of hers just didn't add up. Takuy new their town like the back of his hand and even about laces she didn't know about. There was much more to it. She just knew it. Elaine didn't want to push Seray any harder that what she was going through right now. Seray was practically her own daughter and if she wasn't comfortable talking about what happened right now, then she wouldn't force the poor child too.

"Come on, dear. Let's get you back to the house. We can talk in the private and safety of my home," she said as she let out a sigh, her chest heaving up, and then down. There was still so much that she wanted to know. There may have been a kidnapper that took Takuya away or he may have been forced to do something horrible. Oh, how she was worried about her son! It was the worst thing for a mother to lose her only son. She had witnessed how one of her closest friends had a meltdown, when her son fell into the river and drowned. She could do nothing but watch in horror. Elaine could not begin to imagine her life without Takuya...Takuya...how his name rolled in her thoughts.

She could feel the tears begin to build but she fought them back. The tears were fighting back, but she did her best to keep strong for Seray and herself. There was still a small feeling in her heart that Takuya was alright, but also in a bad way. The pain in her chest told her so. Sometimes, she really hated her intuition, because she was always, almost correct. That rightness being on the side of the bad, instead of the good. Woth another long, soft sigh, she looked down at Seray. "I want to know what really happened, once we get inside, Seray," She said softly.
