A popular, 'harmless' new pastime has arisen amongst the people of the world. It's a controversial activity, at first putting most on high alert and sending a few others into laughing fits. Though, people eventually accepted it for what it was. After a few years, it became a way of life. Said activity is called The Game, and it is more or less another way to label each other, only with more devastating results. You see, the rules are simple... They are clear. Straightforward.
Cold, like the heart of their unnamed creator.
People are ranked according to numbers, starting off anywhere between 1 and 5 when they first start school. A few will stay in that playing field until middle school... The rest will claw for the top or will suffer at the bottom. By the end of one's highschool days, they could easily be anywhere from a negative number to a number well into the hundreds. Raising the number is based off of popularity; How many lovers they've had, the parties they attended, even looks. It's become a worldwide addiction; Only your number matters. Anything below a 12 sits below the food chain, waiting to get stepped on.
This is the story about eight teens who differ in background and personality, all of them wondering and trying to find out if a simple number really divides them as people. Some do not care for The Game or its rules and gains, they just want to be free to enjoy themselves. Others might be obsessed with their number, who knows? We'll have to wait and see... Not everyone plays The Game the same way.

There aren't any specific romantic pairings, but in this particular thread there will be YAOI and only YAOI.

Personality: Oren is sarcastic and, for good reason, a loner. He hates being mistaken for a gradeschool girl, and will change character COMPLETELY when angry.
Description: At an astounding 4'11" and a whopping 85 lbs., Oren is in the school files as the smallest student they've had in twenty years. He's pale, and he's feminine in most aspects. Still, Oren has a nasty temper at times, so most students have had the good sense to let sleeping dogs lie.
Oren is also one for pranks, and wears one of the contacts from his halloween costume around to mess with people.
