The Fractured Star:
A Conceptual Ad

Setting:
In a distant, otherwise empty gap of space, there exists a single yellow star.
Surrounding this star is a fleet of thirty-two space stations, twelve of them five-sided and twenty of them six-sided, arranged in regular order around the surface to encapsulate it in a thin-gapped shell of enormous polygons. Around it orbits a vast ring of interstellar minerals and the fused and twisted debris of untold numbers of shattered spacecraft, dubbed by some as the "Wasteroid Belt."
This formation of megastructures, called "The Fractured Star" by some for its appearance when viewed from afar, is older than recorded history. No vessel, manned or unmanned, to ever venture close enough has returned, all having been either obliterated by it's mysterious weaponry, or drawn down by gravitational beam directly into one of it's ominous stations. Likewise, all those that have been seen attempting to leave the star have shared the same fate, always being either destroyed or pulled back.
For those trapped within the clutches of The Fracture Star, it is multiple worlds unto their own, untold millions of alien environments spread over tens of thousands of simulated atmospheres, the descendants of organisms and civilizations lost forever to the outside compete and conquer within its halls, and from what every present faction can tell, whatever mysterious systems control or once controlled the star have no definite origin, and know no definite master. Over the eons the descendants of those who have survived entrapment within the Fractured Star have formed new empires, fought wars, and colonized it's strange environments and inner workings.

Characters:
Due to the vast history, mysterious nature, and sheer size of The Fractured Star, this allows the liberty of a vast variety of possible sentient life forms to appear in the following story,, having either been entrapped, born, or even evolved either within the vast inner workings of one of it's thirty-two stations, or somewhere within the Wasteroid Belt. This involves all manner of aliens, humanoids, synthetic organisms, or artificial intelligences.

Plot:
The plot is not yet fully decided, but I'm considering something involving an ability to take direct control of the Fractured Star's weaponry on a particular station, thus allowing whoever controls the weaponry of that station to either allow the safe escape or entrance of spacecraft, or assert absolute dominance over all space that the weapons can reach.
Due to the vast nature of the star, any number of alternate scenarios are not out of the question.

Ect:
Feel free to ask any questions or present any suggestions regarding anything presented above. The setting is primarily conceptual at the moment, and I haven't run a group RP in a considerable while, so things on my end may be a little rough around the edges.

Disclaimer:
In its current state, it may include extreme violence and/or horror themes.

I forgot you put this up but definitely interested in joining!
