The Four-Blood Gate

This is one of the only sundays I can't be there.

Have drill this weekend and until I get out of the service in July, it's still a thing I'm obligated by law to do.

Unless you ran it later, like 5PM central or something

Well im available all day Sunday. Not available at all Saturday as going to Mardi Gras as Universal Studios tomorrow.

Just looked at gear for you Wolfsin.; As a Melee fighter you may want to improve both you Offensive and Defensive abilities.

Just an idea but you could make your Bastard Sword Keen for 2000gp, improving you critical threshold to 17-20

You could also improve you AC by getting Bracers of armor +1 for 1000gp and Amulet of natural armor +1 for 2000gp making your AC 21

And you still got 500gp left over

These are just my initial ideas for a melee fighter who doesn't rely on any special tricks, tactics or quirky items.

See i also have skiils in talking and diplomacy so idk if that might be something to focus on as well.

It up to you how you want to develop your character, what sort of things did you ave in mind?

Im just hoping in a situation of talking if it comes to it, I can handle that pretty well I have a decent Score in intimidation, Bluff, Diplomacy, and some on Sense motive. But I think you gave me some great ideas, I was just wondering if you had any ideas that might help for the more technical part for this mission.

Remember that you are part of a group and not expected to be good at ever aspect. Half the idea of D&D is to have a balanced adventuring party and have people who specialize in certain circumstances. Look at my character, she has great interpersonal and sneaking skills but has no hope in a fight. You have fighters who are great in combat, being a tank and holding the line, but you wouldn't expect them to be very good at being sneaky. same as you wouldn't expect a wizard to hold there own in combat.

Skills help with encounter interaction, but nothing beats good role play, especially coming up with a scenario the DM hasn't prepared for :)

Try to envision how you plan on your character developing and equip him to that end. There may be some changes along the way with character develpoment due to the DM throwing things at you, but you should be able to keep the general idea.

Understandable. Ill probably go with the suggestions you gave then. I believe I fall int he category of a tank, with a silver tongue XD so that will help =) Thanks for the help Ill add the equipment to my list.

Yeah, traditional wisdom with D&D parties is similar to WOW wisdom.

You need a Tank (Fighter/Barbarian/Cleric) who can soak up damage and deliver solid, sustainable harm to the enemy.
You need a Divine Magic user (Cleric/Paladin/Druid) who can deliver buffs and heals to keep the party going.
You need an Arcane Magic user (Sorceror/Bard/Wizard) who can break enemy spells and bring out the big guns when needed.
And you need a Specialist (Rogue/Bard) who can multitask into a number of talents depending on the situation.

Once you have those basic four, you can then start doubling up to suit the encounter. Rangers can serve as additional tanks, or additional magic users. You can have two specialists, if you're in a situation that requires precise skills. You can have Paladins double up as secondary healers or tanks.

So whenever I DM I look for the four pillars: TANK, HEALER, MAGE, SPECIALIST. Then I look for the 6 ABILITIES. Do we have someone with high charisma? Someone with high Intelligence? And so forth. As long as all the bases are covered, the party should function well.

Also, here's the direct link to the campaign. This will take you to the training area where you can play around with the system. I'll be finding icons for you all shortly.

Asmo, if I can play, mind if you can shoot me a couple of PMs to get me started?
I read some sites, but the codes seem to be confusing...!

The group link looks broken... It says "invalid server" or something.
And I have to go to church on Sundays...

I think you have to join the D&D group to see the link. http://www.iwakuroleplay.com/group.php?groupid=312

And Sunday morning is the only time we can get me, Aarkom and Tegan together.

Also, Grumpy NotaIrish and Jalein Draconian, are you sure your alignments are gonna work in this quest? We may be forced to break the law and hurt some people to achieve our goals.

What do you mean 'may be forced to', I am planing on breaking some laws, and no doubt some poor innocent NPC will end up being 'incapacitated'

^ Me and you wont get along much xD

I love you guys~!
And is it all right if I am a level 1 wizard?
I do have some experience, but I've only played the Capcom game (which does not count)
:irritated:
