The Forest of Nazradil

Caleb didn't move, more or less he stared at the new wolf with a surprised look on his face. He wanted to greet her with a 'Hi!' but she was growling... why was she growling... He kept his head on the ground with his ears folded back and his tail between his legs and slightly whimpered. He couldn't find any words to say so he hoped she would just let him be... or better yet help him. He had held his breath by now to keep his whimpers hidden and even more so to keep his yelp in. She was large, looked like she would be fast, and though he was muscular and a pretty good fighter something told him he would hold no chance against her. She did not look too nimble, however, so he knew he could out run her if he really tried. He was great at running and taking sharp turns without losing speed... but she was right there, a single movement she didn't like she could easily swat him down.

Her snarl grew louder when her face leaned further into him, ears flattened back now and muzzle lifted so wrinkled formed on her nose. She brought her paw and pressured it onto his head whilst leaning down to growl in his ears - telepathically communicating with him. "How.. dare you come close to these lands.. You and your opposing scumbag pack infuriate me! How dare you even console with one of my pack members!" Her voice curdled with anger much like the wolfs angry barks at him. She lifted her paw and circled around him, barking outloud every snap she made through her speech. "Do you have any idea what you've done? Are you even capable of understanding the consequences of such acts?".. Lifting her head she reminded herself what today was.. and took better notice down on the wolf. "You'll come with me.." she ordered.

Her muzsle tucked under his stomach to lift him upright and she stood awaitingly behind him, meaning for him to continue walking forward.. She knew his pack were coming for him, and she also knew today was deffinitley not a day to spread more blood.. So it would wait. "Go!" She barked firmly in his mind. Signalling through the thorned wall for him to walk through, into their territory.. She was taking him back to her pack, where he would await his fate after the ceremony.. "GO!" She said louder to him and snapped her jaws at his tail to quicken his pace.

Caleb whimpered slightly as the wolf was talking about her territory and her packmate, she was very mad at him. He didn't even bother following her with his eyes as she cercled him hopeing she would see he was submissive but it didnt work. She wanted him to go with her. He didn't want to so he didn't move. He even braved the first 'Go!' but he did flinch when she said it and sge knew she had him.

'Go!' She repeated abd suddenly the thoughts of running away completely left his mind, he dashed over to the thorns, then hesitated before trying to make his way through, he only tried because he coud feel her just paces behind him. He whimpered, yelped and whined as he was stuck with thorns untill he had himself entangled in them all together and struggled to break free. When he finally did he ws shot forward and tumbled out the other side.

Her head kept low she went through the section of thorns again, not squirming through them made it easier to avoid some of the thorns. However, most managed to re-pierce her skin again. She let out a grunt to one of them impaling into her paw, and when out of the brunt of it all ripped it out with her teeth. Her eyes came up again and fell on the wolf at her front, her paces not far from behind him, making sure he was walking in front of her to the right direction. She barked an order for him to speed up. "I've not got all day!" She growled, and kept her paces behind him.

A slight tint of red from the blood staining the snow after every step forward. She kept her body low still prowling behind him.

Caleb kept looking behind him as he tried to build up the courage to run, but each time he looked at her the feeling went away and he just kept walking with his tail between his legs and his ears still folded back. He continued to glance back and stumble as he walks, his heart beating fast and he was still whimpering, he hoped someone would hear it and come to save him. What did he do that was so bad? He just wanted to play...

He slipped and fell down a ditch, he didn't bother to get up and just lay there waiting to see what she would do, he half hoped Red would find him, he had heard her howl a little while ago, maybe she was close? He glanced up the ditch to see her standing there, he felt small in her presence.

When he fell into the ditch she growled at him. "Weakling! Get out of there!" Her body slide down to side and she gripped his scruff in her jaws, dragging him back out and over the rim of the hole. She looked ahead to the hill they'd have to climb in order to get back to the packs camp. "Now move faster..." Carrying him in her mouth she jerked her head forward and flung him in front of her. Snarling as she was now pushing him at a faster pace and up the hill, clambering over rock and tree to make him move away from the spot they were in. Leaving the empty circle behind her, only specs of blood dripped and stained the snow from where the thorns had pierced her fur..

Every so often her mouth lowered to lick her paw and whipe the blood from it. Then she felt it, the boundry broken and back into her territory - they were now past the boarder and finally onto Bloodcall territory. She gave another bark for him to hurry up. They may now be in the territory but they still had the hill and mountain to climb before they were back at the Bloodcall camp.. Looking behind her at the metaphorical line seperating the outside from the in, and then glancing forward to continue moving.

She was growling at him and yelled 'Weakling! Get out of there!' He attempted to do just that but he kept slipping down the sides of the muddy walls. He wasn't moving fast enough for her so she pulled him out and threw him in front of her. 'Now more faster...' She snarled now pushing him at a faster pace up the hill. He looked back and something flickered in her eyes, he knew they were now in her territory. He took off sprinting up the hill letting his agile body gain distance between them, however, he did not know he was heading straight for bloodcalls camp. Before he could get there however he slipped on a wet rock and slid to a stop just before a mountain. He struggled to get up finding that a rock was on his paw. He used his three free ones to push it off then stood up shaking his hurt one. He could still walk on it but running might not be possible until he rested it.

She followed him up, and then looked at the rock which had pinned his foot down with a snarl. When he caught his foot he must have knocked a number of them down - she dodged the other falling ones quickly before they hit her, and started to pace over to the trapped wolf. Growling at him she brought her forehead against the boulder and pushed at it, her paw lifting and putting pressure on it too. After a harder push and a slight sweat forming on her nose - it moved and rolled on down the hill.. She gave him a harder glance now... "Idiot."

Pre-warning the pack, realising they must have picked up his scent now. She howled... Announcing that they would both be arriving soon. They would still be paying their respects at this time, but the official ceremony would most likely be over... She could smell the smoke from the bonfire on the horizon and hear the beat of tribal drums which the pack members in their human forms were beating. Glancing back to him she gave one last command for him to walk into their camp. "Go."

He could hear the drums on top of the hill and cursed himself for running directly to the camp. She didn't seem to realize he was trying to run so maybe he could try again? No now that he was this close he would never get away... not with this hurt paw. Slowly he looked around ignoring her idiot comment trying to find the way up, 'Go.' the word had scared him and he jumped in his fur instantly he pushed forward accidentally finding the path. Slowly he began climbing the mountain and looked back at the wolf following him. "Where are we going." he managed to say quietly as they went. He looked back at her again "What did I do?" The second question was barely audible.

She ignored his questions and looked up when the mountains edge started to show, a row of her own greeted him with snarls and growls. Lilith dived in front of him and snarled back at them all lowering her head in a swirving pattern to look at each of their individual faces. "Back off!" She yelled at them, and then retreated with grunts and discontent barks in her direction. Glancing back to the wolf she was guiding up the hill she gestured her head forward to the amber rays giving off by the far in the center of the circle of wolfs bane, and brought herself back to his rear. "Go through.... and wait by the fire..." She spoke and gave another snap with her jaws at his tail so he'd move into the camp itself.

She kept by the other wolves who had retreated to the outer edge of the circle, all of them eyes locked on this outsider within their pack. Lilith walked around and glanced up and down, searching for Laura. She needed to be here for the trial.. Lilith took to higher ground, the rock in front of the fire in fact. She stepped up and took her seat waiting for all to fall silent. "... The days celebrations will finish shortly. In the mean time we will rest.. Tomorrow will be a new day, and to start it we will come together for this... This wolf has committed a crime, stepping on our lands, finding it 'fun' and 'joyful' to interact with one of our own.. More to the point - intrude on our Alpha's funeral rights!" She said this and the entire wolf park snarled and barked at the wolf in front of Lilith.

Her head moved further down looking him dead square in the eye. "Tomorrow this wolfs future will be decided.. For now, continue to pay your respects.. In the mean time, Pup." She looked at him again. "You'll be guarded..."

She stepps down with a howl to the rest of her pack again, and snarled in his ear when she walked past him.

Caleb jumped when she nipped at his tail and rushed over to the fire where she told him to go. He laid down by the fire and looked around at all the mean faces looking at him. He placed his head down on his paws and closes his eyes trying to imagine himself in his play stop that he used to go to with Red... RED! Where was she? Was he leading her straight here?

His head shot up as the she-wolf took spot on the wolf and talked about the celebrations and then they said he committed a crime. Something about playing with one of their own and entering their territory. His eyes widened, his new friend was part of this pack! He quickly looked around for her, maybe she would save him. He wanted to go home.

Laura trotted back towards the pack. She sighed softly to herself, noticing Lilith was back. Caleb wasn't in trouble the----... He was here? What? She tried to sneak around behind him so he wouldn't notice, being quiet and not saying anything as her ears folded back a bit.

"Laura! Where's your mother?" One of the members came up to her, asking questioningly. Laura looked at the older wolf, and shrugged her shoulders a bit.
"I dunno, probably off again." She answered shortly, and then went to go off as the older wolf mumbled about how her mother shouldn't be allowed to have pups.

Redbird was running so fast that whatever surrounded her was reduced to a blur of deep green and brown. She was jumping over muddy obstacles and weaving through giant mossy towers. When her speed slowed; it dawned on her that she was running over roots and dead leaves. The ground was wet on her feet. Her upper lip curled to the unpleasant feeling of moss between her toes.

Though darkness engulfed her surroundings, she could see her surroundings in perfect detail. She took slow breaths and peered around. The smells that filled the air drifted through her mouth, which, for some reason was her main source of breathing. She could taste the trees and the plants around her, trying hard to find where her pack mate had been taken. All she could do was follow Axel's lead, but for her anxiety, it was not enough.
"Where did they go? What happened?" She looked at Axel and cried.

In the distance there was a strangely familiar noise. The sound was muffled, shallow barking. Fear filled her mind but her strong legs held Redbird in place. She opened her mouth to ask questions but all that came out was whimpering and whining.

From her throat came a muffling noise, interrupting the fear that she was just beginning to feel. The noises seemed to be miles away from where we stood. Redbird felt a degree of panic set into her muscles; getting ready to run even faster than before.

The new alpha looked up at the moon for guidance. An Erie but melodic howl replaced her call for help.
Before she could even comprehend what she was doing; she had started running towards the dense Thorns.

His ears perked up when he heard a familiar voice, then he head popped up and looked over to find Desi. "Desi." He whispers to his new friend. "Desi! I'm over here." He was trying to be quiet but a couple of wolfs looked over at him confused. "Desi, please don't ignore me." He said pleading as he lay covered in mud with thorns still in his sides. He whimpered slightly hoping she would come over and answer a couple of questions for him. He wanted to know what they meant by decide his fate, why she played with him because clearly she knew he was not in her pack, and why she didn't didn't tell him he was heading in the wrong direction... multiple times.

She wasn't sure what to do. A few wolves that were guarding him growled at him for talking to a pack member, so she walked pass, not stopping by him. She did this multiple times within the next ten, fifteen minutes. Each time she had a different demeanor. Sometimes she seems determined, ears up and tail swaying. Other times she's ears back and tail not moving, showing that she shouldn't be over here. Eventually one of the wolves called her to leave the area, so she did so.

Onyx ran along beside Redbird and just behind Axel. "Yes. That's Lilith all right." he'd noticed the scent a while back and thinking about it brought about a flood of memories. There was yelling and crying and suddenly Lilith had made a dive for Ambertalon. Onyx reacted without thinking and before he knew it he was on the floor with Lilith on top of him, growling and slashing at him with razor sharp claws. Onyx shook himself from the memory. He needed to be in the here and now. Besides, thinking about it couldn't change anything that had happened.

He checked on Redbird with a glance every few paces to see how she was holding up. She looked distraught and Onyx could tell she was pushing herself to keep up the pace. Her frantic questioning just reinforced the aura of distress that possessed her every action. This was far beyond regular concern for a pack member...
Why is this 'Caleb' so important to her? A distant howl resonated across the air, "That's Lilith's homecoming call. If Caleb's with her, he'll be in the Bloodcall camp soon." He didn't bother to explain how he knew this, in fact he stayed silent until they finally came to a halt before the perimeter of thorns. "Beyond this bush is the beginning of Bloodcall territory, we'll have to make our way through the thorns to progress any further. They'll probably be aware of our presence already, so just try to avoid doing anything which may be read as aggression." He decided to lead by example and started to make his way through the mesh of thorns, carefully placing his paws to avoid piercing them.

Caleb whimpered everytime Desi walked by. He wanted her to tell him what was going on, but she wouldn't even look at him. She was acting strange, walking past him every few minuts, sometimes with her tail wagging or between her legs. He was even more confused now but soon enough the two wolves laying near him told her to leave and she listened. He was mostly alone now and the only thing he could think of was home. He rolled over to keep the fire from hurting him then looked at the guards who were clearly uninterested in him.

He glanced around seeing no one was even looking at him so he started to slowly make his way to the path leading down. He may not know how to get home, but he did know it was better than staying here. Pluss Red was looking for him now, he couldn't let her walk into this camp. He was now inches from the path and felt quite clever for sneaking away.

The night had a distinctive chill about it, but the fire still blazing was keeping the rest of the pack warm and comfortable. Lilith stayed on the edges and held her body on a peak of a rock just out of the camps clearing. Her ears picking up on the sounds where they told Laura to sit down, and keep out of the way. She approached her, clambering down from the rock, looking over at her body - wondering if she were just laying, or not asleep. Lilith lightly pressed her nose ontop of her head and jolted upright when she heard the other movement in the snow... Everybody was either asleep or still. A light snarl began to erupt from her throat.

She pounced over the laying wolves and skidded in front of Caleb to a stop.. "Where do you think you're going?" She said to him. Moving her paws forwards for him to step backwards, like some sort of Spanish dance. "You were trying to escape weren't you? How ridiculous... Lay down.. and embrace the possibility of your last few moments on this planet..."

Laura lifted her head when she heard Lilith speak to Caleb. She was feeling horrible for what she had done- she causes a lot of trouble, but never once had she caused someone a death! She slowly stood up, walking over with her ears folded flat down and her tail between her legs. She approached, and spoke up.

"It's..My fault. I went over to their territory... And was spying on them... And then Caleb came over so we started playing... I was going to befriend him, and see what he knew -or his pack knew- about how our leaders died." She was being completely honest. She heard herself whimper softly, knowing she should have said something sooner.

Caleb was caught off guard when Lilith jumped in his way. He whimpered as she took a step forward but did not back up, he was shaking to much to move. "I just wana go home." He said when she asked him where he was going. Then she pointed out the obvious and he almost didn't listen to it until she said 'last few moments on this planet.' His eyes widened. They were going to kill him.

Desi stepped up and said it was her fault and said she was going to try and get some information about his pack from him. He was heart broken. His new friend was just a spy, and that's to the extent of it. Before thinking he pounced up at Lilith with teeth showing and claws ready. He hit her but was throw off and landed with a skid at the side of the mountain.
