His grandmother promised to buy him a new skateboard if he got good grades on his report card, which he did, but when he asked her for it, she told him that she couldn't afford the skateboard at that time. He threw a tantrum, complete with screaming, stomping his feet and shoving things. One object that he accidentally shoved was a bookshelf that fell onto his grandmother. Surprisingly the bookshelf falling on her didn't kill her, it was Felix panicking and taking too long to call 911 that did it and she died of head trauma. He was charged as a minor and was going to be sent to a juvenile institution but the Forbes stepped in and negotiated the punishment to two years of community service. He's since finished his community service but still works as a volunteer at the place that he was assigned; Meadowlark Retirement Home, where he entertains the residents and helps the custodians clean.[/bg]

[bg=#BA7627]Personality
Felix is a reserved boy on most days, but sometimes if you catch him off guard, he'll talk your ear off if you let him. He has a serious anger management issue, where he screams verbal abuse and physical assaults his surroundings, but he's working on that aspect and very rarely loses control now. He can be a charming kid, dropping compliments constantly and worming his way into the hearts of strangers (usually old ladies and middle aged divorcees). Sometimes he uses his charm for good, but other times he uses it to get what he wants but his desires never go to the extremes. Although sometimes when the other boys at school pick on him for being so quiet and hanging him out with girls all the time, he tries to be like them and acts like a jerk, but always apologizes afterwards.
Biography
Felix's parents died in a car accident when he was just two years old and Felix's maternal grandmother was the only living relative so she took custody of Felix. Vera Ivanov had never had an active role in Felix's life, as she had not been on speaking terms with his mother because she believed her daughter should have married someone else, however Vera did not take any of this out on Felix, instead she chose to spoil him. She gave him everything he asked for and things he didn't. Vera lived a pretty comfortable life as she was living on her late husbands life insurance money and her social security checks, so she could afford to spoil Felix for a few years. However eventually the money ran dry and when Felix was 10 years old, Vera was considering bankruptcy. She never told Felix about her money troubles, so when she stopped giving him things and started telling him that she couldn't afford the things she had promised, he assumed she was being greedy and started throwing fits. At first the tantrums were small and he would just yell things, but as he got older he started attacking the objects in his environment. One such object was a large bookshelf that fell on his grandmother. As she went down, Vera hit her head hard on the marble floor and suffered a concussion and unbeknownst to them both, internal bleeding. Felix who had lived such a sheltered and cushy lifestyle, panicked in the middle of a crisis and instead of calling 911, he panicked. Thankfully, the neighbors had heard the commotion and called, but by the time the police got there, Vera was dead.
Felix was taken into police custody and two weeks later had to stand trial. He was going to be sent to a juvenile institution, but the Forbes family stepped in and negotiated the charges to two years of community service at a retirement home. At first Felix balked at the idea that he would have to work for old people for two years, and threw many tantrums. He hated being around elderly people and he often complained about them being slow and boring and technology challenged. He was insubordinate and rude to his boss and he cut corners in his work. One day however, a new resident came to the home. She was an sweet old lady named, Veronica Woods and she had only come to the retirement home because the people who she had lived with prior, had died in an unfortunate accident. Ms. Woods rejected the kindness of all the volunteers and constantly yelled at the nurses when they tried to keep her company and opted to stay holed up in her room instead of interacting with others. In all honesty, she was a pain to deal with and that's why Felix was assigned to her room.
Felix and Ms. Woods were cut from the same cloth and matched each other in blatant rudeness and foul mouths. But surprisingly, they got each other and after a few months of dreading each others company, they started to look forward to seeing each other. After one morning of chatting about mundane things, Ms. Woods finally told Felix why she was at the home. She told him that the people she had lived with were her children and her grandson. They loved her so they never coddled her or made her feel like a child by banning her from using certain objects because her old age and they never commented on the fact that she often forgot important things instead they just changed to accommodate her mistakes. But one night she made a mistake they couldn't fix. She had forgotten how, but she'd started a fire and her loving daughter and son in law demanded that the fire department save their son and elderly mother first. Her children died, her grandson had to be taken to the hospital for smoke in his lungs and she was...Fine.
Somehow at the end of that story, something in Felix broke and after a year of dry eyes, he burst into tears for his own family, especially his grandmother. After that he stopped rejecting the Forbes efforts to treat him like their son. He stopped treating everybody like shit and he started taking his community service job seriously.[/bg]
[bg=#BA7627]Relationships With Family
Scarlet
"I used to hate her, but she's cool sometimes."
> Felix used to butt heads with Scarlet, as he saw her as an obstacle to getting what he wanted, but after he changed, he got past his negative feelings towards her and realized she could be pretty cool even if she could also be irritatingly bossy. Sometimes he gives her musical accompaniment to her singing/dancing. <
Ashley
"She's my museum partner."
> They don't have much in common save for their love of museums and they've made it their mission to visit a different museum every weekend. <
Dante
"...She's really cute."
> Felix has a huge crush on Dante, that he tries to hide. He actually wrote her a theme song, but has yet to share it for fear of looking like an idiot. <
Max
"I don't really hang out with him. He's creepy."
> Maybe because the other boy reminds him of his former self, Felix avoids hanging out with Max, but doesn't openly ignore, he just finds reasons to not hang out with him. <
