Carl run as fast as he can towards the forest and slices through the bush and tree before saying sorry to Fred, "Sorry! I'll pay for the damage!" He didn't care about everything right now, his got only 2 reason to be worried, that he like to save people and he doesn't want to lose a comrade before the way," as he can see the light finally after a 20 minutes of non stopping cutting the trees through metal, he found Maya. Carl sighed of laughter as he met her, "there you are, now let's get back to them" Carl smiled to her.

Ashelyn felt herself get more confident as she had Kacey behind her. She did not know how powerful the contraption was but it was definitely better than nothing. She had to keep Kacey safe.

The wolves neared and Ashelyn froze, forgetting for a moment what she could do. She widened her stance and parted her lips, wondering if this would work.

As her hazel hues closed, a low pitch sound could be heard, as if the soprano of an opera singer. The pitch, however was far higher than that, so as not to be heard through human ears, only those of her canine friends before her.

As she opened her eyes, using the pitch, the wolves began to shake their heads, rubbing their ears. Whines could be heard throughout the pack.

Ashelyn could have kept a soprano going for some time years ago, but that was a different time, when her mother made her practice for hours on end. Either that, or her travel to the island and on the island was beginning to pull on her last bit of energy.

Only a minute passed before she lost her breath and her throat felt far too raw. Honestly, for such a high pitch, which should not have been possible through human means, that was pretty good.

Unfortunately, the wolves did not seem to think highly of her singing skills, and they immediately lowered their haunches and began snapping furiously. Ashelyn glared back, defiantly.

"Back UP!!!" She screamed, sending the creatures skidding back. They would not, however, give in so easily. One rather large wolf seemed to begin stepping forward confidently, as if Ashleyn were nothing but a slab if bloody meat already, something already killed.

"The nerve..." She muttered. "Kacey, I can't control this ability to its full potential just yet... You may have to escape..." She coughed, rubbing her throat. "Escape while I distract them. I don't think I can keep this up for long. If I don't help you escape, we'll both be goners..." The red head bit her lip, watching as the wolf neared. She summoned strength into her diaphragm and shouted. An echo that resounded around them. It was enough to push the wolves over on their feet, but the use of her voice so forcefully sent a sore feeling in her throat. At the same time, the crest at her neck warmed softly. Was this her limit or could she still go further? She feared for their lives. If only she had continued to do her singing.

She swore to herself right then and there, if she survived this, she would practice until she could hold her own fairly well.

While Fred lay on the floor he was glad Carl went out to help the others, he didn't care about the breakages around and he knew it was going to happen it always did with new powers around. There was enough in the bank to sort it all out.

Now Fred had to get the antidote from the kitchen but with one leg paralyzed and Nick out for the count Fred struggled to get onto his good leg. He had to use the wall and a bit on manoeuvring to get up. Fred hopped around on his good leg for a moment and was hoping this would work. He was hoping to use his super speed while hopping but he has never tried this but had to try as time was short.

Fred took a deep breath and hopped super quickly into the kitchen. He did it with ease saying it was his first super hop. With one hand on the counter to make sure he doesn't fall while the other went through the cupboard to search for the antidote. He knew roughly where it was and it wasn't long until he came across the antidote.

As he went to open the lid a sharp pain suddenly shocked him from his leg and he shouted out in pain dropping the antidote onto the floor smashing the bottle. Fred closed his eyes in disbelieve and knew it was the only antidote left. Fred knew he should of made more but never seemed to get the time.

As he opened his eyes he looked over at the counter and saw the meat cleaver and reached for it……

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

With the smashing of the bottle from the kitchen Nick stirred and quickly sat up a little disorientated and was trying to work out where he was. He soon realised he was in his hallway but was sure he was in the jungle with Kacey. "Kacey" he shouted out a little louder than expected. Nick cleared his throat and made sure to be careful with that power.

A bright light soon was shining into Nick's eyes but soon moved away. As Nick rubbed his eyes he knew what that light was and knew it couldn't be a good sign. As he stood up he was bit shaky on his legs and walked towards the front door which was still open. Nick mumbled "This ain't good" Nick leant on the front door frame and looked out to see where the light was shining from. He noticed it was shining in all directions but the base of the light was in that section of the jungle.

Adrenaline soon rushed him as he knew his friends were in danger as he knew where the light was from. "Wolves" he said sternly and with that all his shakiness and tiredness left him and with super speed ran towards the light.

Maya was more than a little relieved when Carl found her, it seemed she wasn't too far from the mansion after all, she nodded at what he said knowing he was probably right. A rather loud howling noise followed by many more coming from deeper inside the forest drew her attention "Those wolves are hunting for something, that's why they're like that... The others must be there." Maya said after thinking for a brief moment turning towards the general direction the sounds were coming from "I'm going after them." she concluded before starting to run towards the general direction. She wondered if Carl would follow her as she did so, but in either case, she'd need to think of what she'd do when she got there, otherwise she might as well have just stayed where she had been before.

Kacey tightened her grip round the handle, watching in shock and releive as Ashley's voice seemed to stun them slightly. Although a few wolves seemed to be getting less bothered, only slightly whincing as they circled them both, barely phased by their attempts to keep them back now.

"fuck! " Kacey screamed a jerking back, thrusting her arm out waving the light in front of her at the wolves getting to close.
" I'm not going to leave you.. " Kacey breathed her voice shaky and uneven, she wasn't about to just leave Ashelyn. Not to fight off all these wolves alone, she'd barely had time to get used to her power. Kacey would never be able to forgive herself, if something happened to her, while she fleed to save herself.

" there's too many. Fred's.. sendi-"
. In the corner of her eyes, she saw a dark blurry figure lunge towards them. With her quick reflexes Kacey spun around, kicking her leg out "BACK!" she screamed as her leg buried into the belly fur of a wolf, it let out a high pitch cry, clawing and scratching her leg in defense like a wounded cat.

It got her alright, as she felt sharp pains shot up her leg, screaming she threw her arm forward shinning the light right it's face, the wolf backed up, shaking as the light dazed it. Kacey grit her teeth, in attempt not to scream having to steady herself, as she felt the blood gush down her ankle. "someone's coming.." she thought, she hoped.Cause as the time passed the wolves only got more confident and she could feel the panic only growing.

As Carl found Maya, he relieved he can do things for the team. Carl was just about to walk to Maya when a large howling noise echoing from the forest. Carl directly looked back and saw Maya running towards the howling sound, "Wait!" Carl went reached to Maya's hand but was late. He decided to wait for awhile before going to the direction of the howl as well, Carl ran towards Maya," Hey I'm here, so got any plan for ahead?" Carl smiled and gave a slight smirk, as he ran beside Maya. As soon as they arrived, there's a pact of wold waiting for them, "Dang! but yeah! time to show what I can do!" Carl began to makeshift the metal to liquid form.

At Kacey scream, Ashleyn jumped, extra sensitive with the sounds surrounding her growing louder. Her adrenaline was pumping at full throttle and this made it possible for Ashleyn to focus on many things at once.

Rather than take her eyes off the wolves on her end, she listened to Kacey's force, her essence, her body. She was feeling pain. Where, Ashelyn did not know but the fact that Kacey was wounded angered Ashelyn. Kacey could not escape and only she could keep her from harm.

The woman pressed herself closer to the other, back-to-back. "This is not an ordinary ordeal. You would have survived and I would not have complained." The wolf that had been so confident before found it's way just a few feet from Ashleyn. "I'll have to hold them off as roughly as I can. I hope help comes soon." She rubbed her throat and shook her head. Hopefully this did not damage her vocal cords. She began to use a force of sound but before she could utter anything but a squeak a wolf leaped, followed by another and it seemed the wolves knew how to use their advantage. If they attacked all at once, that was it.

Ashleyn turned fast enough to grab hold of Kacey and cover her ears to send one last desperate cry into the air. The sound was so sudden, the cry so sharp, and forceful, it lasted for just a millisecond, enough to send the closest wolf flying into a tree with a sickening crack. But Ashelyn did not get the chance to hear or see anything that happened after that. The burn at her neck and the pain at her throat was immense enough to send a pounding headache into her poor cranium. It seemed all of her head was in pain. She held on to Kacey even as just after the attack, the others arrived.

"Help..." She meant to call out. Only, it came out more as a painful squeak from her hurt throat.

Nick ran at full speed he had no idea who was in trouble but he ran. What took only a second in real time everything seemed in slow motion for Nick as he ran. He could see everything clearly. His heart was pumping and he knew it was his fault, he hoped he wasn't to late.

When he was close to the light source he noticed Carl and Maya running towards the light as well. Maya looked like she had cuts on hr but looked fine while Carl looked he didn't look like he was hurt. Nick didn't stop to find out he had to keep running.

There it was, the light source held by Kacey and she was bitten by one of the wolves around. It had to be wolves, some has different abilities, one has poison, one paralyze. There was even one that turns you into one of them. Nick could only hope it was just a standard wolf. Right next to Kacey was Ashelyn and she was just letting out a scream. It sounded to Nick to last forever and he tried countering it with his own voice but had to shut his own eyes to do so. Nick didn't make the right frequency and made it worse on himself.

Nick screamed in pain and as he opened his eyes he was much closer to the girls than he thought but until the last moment he saw one of the wolves jumping from the tree directly above them and Nick didn't have time to slow down.

The only thing what went through his mind was this is gonna hurt and he jumped with as much pressure as he could and hit right into the wolf squashing him into a tree. The wolf softened the blow for Nick but the wolf literately went splat. Nick tried to slow down as much as he could but least he's alive.

Nick was covered in blood and it smelled horrible but least it wasn't burning he landed on the floor with both hands and one knee on the floor. He looked over to Ashelyn and her voice was failing her, he was going so quick they might of not seen him. Nick had to get up, he just had to. As he got up his leg was throbbing him because of some quad keys which was in his pocket.

"I hope this works" he said aloud and threw the keys into the air and at the same time he dived towards the girls.

The keys went up and transformed into a cage which trapped Nick, Kacey and Ashelyn but the wolves couldn't get in. It wasn't what he hoped for but it works for now.

With a smile and breathing heavily "Hey" as he made a pathetic excuse for a salute at them.

Maya was panting by the time she got to the others, and it seemed Nick was caught in the fray too, the wolves had surrounded them but it seemed they were stuck in some sort of cage. She didn't know how it happened, but it was nothing to be concerned about at the moment, the wolves needed to be dealt with first. Only giving Carl a slight glance as she heard him announce he was going to try to take care of the wolves hoping what she was about to do next wasn't going to interfere with his plans too much. Maya closed her eyes and willed everything around her to be lighter for the time being hoping it would work this time, decreasing the pull gravity had on things should throw off the wolves, and sure enough, the wolves began to lift off the ground along with other objects that weren't too dense such as the cage which was still trapping Nick and the others, but if they were to move it, they'd realize it was alot lighter than it had been before. The only problem was that this process was already beginning to wear her out; she had exerted alot of her strength as she had been running towards them.

Kacey hadn't realized the others had arrived, the throbbing in her ankle so intense, her whole leg felt numb. She exhaled sharply grabbing onto Ashleyn as a metal frame slammed around them.

She dropped to her knees almost pulling Ashleyn with her, "sorry..." she barely whispered, dropping her hands to cup her stomach, she felt like she was going to throw up. It was already bad enough she had gotten hurt, but by this point she was completely useless whincing in pain as she tried to ignore the wound.

It all had happen so fast she wasn't sure what was happening, still keeping her arm out defensively although clearly the wolves could no longer reach them. She blinked her vision momentarily blurring. What the hell was happening to her?

"hey" a familiar voice spoke, relief hit her like a tidal wave, as she turned to see Nick out of breath but unharmed, smiling at them. Her lips parted to speak but nothing came out, instead she just gave him a desperate look followed by a weak smile.

Carl was slaying the wolf as he just realized they were thrown away in mid air, Carl went back and saw maya was using her power. Carl saw maya began to lose her conscious and decided to carry her from the back, He was having trouble carrying her as Carl haven't working out since forever, "gee what did you eat anyway, you weight a ton!" Carl slap his face and remember he can use metals, "Ah DANG!" he began to create a metal floating foundation and place Maya on the foundation. "Hey guys! is there more?!" Carl afraid that there will be reinforcement.

Ashelyn held on to Kacey lightly, as she fell to her knees.

"Sorry..." She said, as she gripped her stomach.

"Don't worry about it..." She whispered out through her sore throat, eyes full of worry for the woman. She seemed sick somehow. Ashelyn surveyed her body for wounds and found the culprit at her ankle. Damned wolves....

"Hey," said Nick. For a few seconds, Ashelyn had forgotten he had saved them and then she glanced back at him to catch the salute. He smiled and that made Ashelyn sag with relief. She felt the woman beneath her doing the same. A moment later the cage seemed to float and that made Ashleyn panic until she spotted the other two; her old friend, Maya, and Carl. Maya seemed to strain with the ability as the wolves floated about them.

"Hey guys, is there more?!" Yelled Carl. She never thought she would be happy to see the stranger.

Shutting her eyes, she focused on the sounds of the forest, migraine in full bloom. It was hard to concentrate over the pain but she managed to. It seemed they were safe for the moment for any wolves in the area were far off. But she could sense that they too, could hear and smell the pains of their breathren and were becoming alert. Some other unknown animals she could not place, but the forest seemed too full of dangers for them to be completely safe.

"We need... To go now. Before they... become aware," She sounded like an old, used up squeak toy. Hopefully Nick understood and would relay her message. As she spoke waved her hands in the direction of the mansion. Indicating that it was imperative that they escape while they still can. They were in no position to fight off the inhabitants of the island.

Nick was getting knackered and getting slightly frustrated with how his powers were working but he knew it will take time especially for himself because he was learning more new powers then his friends. When he felt gravity starting to decrease he really thought that it was himself which was doing it without thinking. Nicks head went side to side hoping Maya was around, luckily she was and Nick was slightly relived it wasn't him but something else caught his eye as he was looking around. Blood.

Nick looked round and found the source, Kacey. He looked up into her eyes and the desperation in them was enough to get Nick's momentum going once again. He used the gravity power on himself to make his gravity normal and got himself back up.Nicks heart was racing his emotions all over the place sudden jitters came and went in his left arm. His eyes were surveying the scene and it wasn't pretty, he had to sort this mess out.

Nick just caught Carl finishing off the last wolf nearby but with all this blood he knew the wolves won't stop and will chase them down but he knew that they couldn't last forever fighting them.

"Hey guys! is there more?!"

Nick stretched his arms straight up and touched the top of the cage which shrivelled up to a toy metal duck. He wanted his normal key back but hey it was small enough to fit into his pocket which he placed into his back pocket.

"We need... To go now. Before they... become aware,"

Nick only just heard Ashelyn as she spoke and she was right. Nick had to think quick and his friends will have to trust him.

"CARL, ASHELYN, MAYA That way" pointing the other direction away from mansion "Keep going until you hit the beach, then take the path"

"Kacey" Nick held his hand out for her to grab "You're with me and I'll be carrying you" Nick would have liked to explain why but there wasn't time.

Maya had passed out at some point through her exertion and regained consciousness not too long after now on a platform away from everything, it didn't look every safe to be on, but she knew a way around it; she didn't close her eyes this time but she willed gravity to have a much weaker pull on everything around her. Then she jumped off the platform thankfully not picking up too much momentum for the fall to be a problem, hearing what Nick said, she just nodded and was about to hurry in the direction he was pointing. However she stopped and turned around upon noticing that Nick wasn't following "What about you two?" she asked gesturing towards him and Kacey clearly looking very worried about their condition, the wolves were starting to touch the ground again as she had stopped using her power absent mindedly, even if it wouldn't help them much now; it would just quickly wear her out again.

Kacey was so dazed she'd honestly barely noticed them floating, taking her attentin back to whatever was in her hand. She pushed the button, the bright light degenerating, as she heard the panic voices of everyone else.

She blinked, confused Ashelyn was right, they needed to move and now, before something worse came out of the bushes, it wasn't to their advantage barely being used to using any of their powers not to mention pushing their limits.

"CARL, ASHELYN, MAYA That way Keep going until you hit the beach, then take the path" Nick instructed the rest, Kacey watched more confused than ever now but she knew she wouldn't be able to run, let alone walk. All she was good for was holding the others back at this point, she sighed flashing them all looks of releif, "be careful..." she breathed her voice low, the others were probably unable to hear her, but it had been ment for Ashelyn who went out of her way to keep her safe.

She reached out taking Nicks hand, hesitating at first but there was no time. "your with me and I'll be carrying you" what? had she heard that right..? She stared at him with a blank expression a little thrown but it wasn't like she could run..

feeling like a horrible burden she looked at nick, taking a step but failed and ended up just stumbling forward crying out in pain "I'm sorry I got hurt.. I tried.." she sighed this was not the time to explain. She stopped herself shaking her head "sorry time to go.."

Carl Carried Maya bridal style while makeshift the metal into hover board, "don't ask why just follow the wave," Carl start to move to the beach where he met Maya before hearing the roar, "Time to hit the hay guys!" Carl began to move in a speed of light while screaming of excitement, "Crap I shouldn't have scream," As they got into the beach, he sighed of relieved, "Maya, are you okay?" just as he asked he start to feel something pain, it's on his right arm, "crap, the scratch..." as the blood goes out he began to lose conscious, "Wha... everything seems so dark...."

"Be careful."
Those words stood with Ashelyn as she walked away from the two. She was glad Kacey was finally in good hands. The woman was injured and yet she worried for others.

As she neared Carl and Maya, she looked back to glimpse Nick and Kacey talking amongst themselves. Valuing privacy, she managed not to listen.

"What about you two?" Asked Maya. But before Maya or the others could get an answer, Carl whisked Maya into his arms and began making his way out in the direction Nick gestured. She followed while waving to the two before realizing Carl and Maya were gone.

She had gone only a few steps into the forest, out of sight of the others and suddenly found herself alone.

"Oh, don't worry about me. I'll get there fine on my own," she mumbled to the empty forest. It was not as if she was not used to being alone. She's lived alone, arrived to the island alone and she got to the mansion on her own. As long as the others were safe, she did not mind it. It was a normal state of being the red head who read too many books and was far too shy to make too many friends. Childhood not included. She was different back then. The brave tomboy.

After that bit of reminiscing , the young woman removed her glasses from her face and wiped at the filmy surface with the cloth of her plaid button down shirt. After placing them back on, she trudged her way through the forest. She could hear voices coming from the crew and the many sounds of life. If she focused enough, she could hear the burrowing and the wings of birds. The way wind sifted through their feathers as they flapped. The sounds of life were amazing. Ashelyn walked in awe, as she made her way to the beach, slowly but surely.

Nick was glad Carl left quickly with Maya but he knew they had a little time before the wolves started sniffing around. Nick wanted to spread there scent around in 2 different locations and since Kacey had the most blood they would follow her. That what his plan was, but with his super speed he can get into a different Territory not own by the wolves very quickly with Kacey.

Just before he picked Kacey up he noticed Ashelyn taking her time back. "Ashelyn" he whispered "Ashelyn" once again to make sure she heard him. In a very low tone he kept talking it was so low it was quieter than a whisper "Take care and we're being watched, I must go"

With that he cradled Kacey and he quickly ran he didn't want to go to fast due to Kacey who's body might not be able to keep up with the speed. Nick knew how fast the the human body can go so Kacey was physically fine with that part.

Nick's main worry was Kacey's leg and he needed to find out what kind pf wolf got her. As Nick was running it was probably to fast for her to talk but it seemed for Kacey to take only a second to reach a log cabin. Nick opened the door and laid Kacey on the bed "Excuse me" he apologized as he quickly took her foot wear of from where she was scratched, he knew immediately it was poison you could see it starting to infect the rest of her leg but it was still early for any major damage. "We can't touch that" Nick warned her

"Keep talking to me Kacey How you feeling?". Nick left the room and added "I can still here you" Nick headed to the small kitchen and started searching through the cupboards, he mumbled "I know its in here somewhere"

Nick's adrenaline was still pumping he can guess all this was his fault but he had no time to apologize just yet, he needed to sort Kacey out first and fast.

"Wh-wha-?" That was all Maya was able to utter as she was swept away by Carl, she had been able to walk, but she didn't object to a little free labor despite feeling a little guilty for it... She heard Ashelyn tell her that she'd be ok, which made her relax a little, but at the same time worry for her safety and the safety of the others. However, something that worried her more than that is she didn't hear a response from Nick, perhaps she was too tired or she wasn't paying attention, but she struggled to get herself out of Carl's hands to look. She wasn't thinking too clearly in the tired state she was in, and she was unable to free herself from Carl's arms despite her best, albiet weak efforts.

In a matter of seconds Kacey was being swept off her feet, and watching the others flee, in the blink of an eye she was being laid on a bed, her face still slick with panic as she looked around the room disoriented.

She barely felt his touch as he stripped off her shoes, " excuse me.. we can't touch that" he warned, that made her sit up slightly looking down at her leg with a pained expression , her face going pale as the poison set in. "Keep talking to me Kacey How you feeling?". she watched, her vision a blur as he left the room and added "I can still here you".

You could see the poison slowly spreading through her veins, making them swell and change a weird shade of deep purple, the pain was agonizing like sharp blades slicing down her muscles. She sank back into the bed, her body involuntarily shaking as the shivers set in, but she wasn't cold "I.. feel like someones ripping my leg off.." she groaned sounding dramatic but there was no other way to explain it.

Breathing started to hurt like hell, as she exhaled sharply, her face slicked with sweat, suddenly it was like a wave hit her, whole body stared perspiring sweat, coating her quickly, making her feel calmy and uncomfortable "nick.. " she whispered between pants, swearing to herself in pain. "make it stop, knock me out...hurts to much"
