I really like modern roleplays, especially hings involving romance and family. I also love fantasy, especially anything involving magic, mythical creatures, or gods and goddesses. Fandoms are nice, if I can play an OC. Since history is one of my passions, I like doing historical roleplays, mostly renaissance, 1800's, early 1900's, ancient civilizations, and anything wild west-like or based on pioneers. I do like Sci-Fi, mostly dystopian with some sort of rebellion or strict customs, something like that. I also like roleplays that take place in space if they have a good explanation of the universe that it takes place in. I'm not a big fan of horror or mystery, unless the horror is a sub-element to something else.

"Knowledge is God."

He saved us.

He protected us.

And for that, we owe him everything.

We owe him truth.

We owe him knowledge.

For truth and knowledge

Are everything.

  • "It is unclear where it comes from and unknown where it has gone. All that is known is that the Fade consumes. It consumes all.

    - Information on The Fade in The Findings of Varso

The Fade came without rhyme. Without reason. It came solely to consume. And with it, it took all of the West and East Continents. Only so many survived. Nothing is known of the mist that covered half the world except for that when it pulled back, nothing but open ocean remained.

The world changed with the arrival of the Fade for it had no choice. The lands fell into chaos, wars for territory and security raged. The Fade consumed even those that it never touched, filling the world with fear and uncertainty. The Dark Times had come.

From the Dark Times, there rose a man, a simple man who only sought out two things: truth and knowledge. He was charming, intelligent, and loved by nearly all he met. And he was a survivor of the Fade, his missing left hand a testament to only a fraction of what he lost. There was nothing remarkable about this man except for the values he bore and without even a command from him, his influence spread. In the lands and in the hearts that Varso touched, knowledge became the basis of all life, the basis of faith itself.

Varso sought out the answers to the Fade, the truth behind its clouded horizon. Together, along with some of his apostles, he traveled west towards the Fade. He and his companions were never seen again. It seemed that all hope was lost to spot the Fade until one day, it began to pull back. Back and back and back until it was mere sliver of mist along the vastness of the ocean.

The people of the world rejoiced and they praised their gods and the voices of millions rose up in relief that day.

But those that followed a simple man with a thirst for knowledge:

They praised the name of Varso.

  • This part of the library was quiet. Quiet in a gentle way that settled over Bliss-Story's shoulders like snow. She walked with practiced ease, her long Librarian's robes hardly getting in the way of her venture of stepping over books and scrolls that covered the floors. It was likely that she was the only person to go this deep into the library in many, many decades. She held the book she had borrowed close to her chest, an ancient tome of likely unusable spells written in Sylvan.

Amongst the dark leathers of the books, she looked out of place. Her hair was pale, paler than her porcelain skin, and her eyes were a sea-green. Her robes were dark gray, the edges embroidered in green and blue. Gray, green, and blue, the colors of Varso and as such, the colors of the Librarians that guarded his knowledge.

She didn't stop to place the books back onto the shelves because the shelves were already too full, packed to the brim with honest knowledge of the world and fabricated tales of daring. It would take her a century, perhaps more, to attempt to organize the chaos that was the deepest parts of the Great Alvovarta Library.

    So she didn't.

She continued along her winding path. A large, black cat watched her move as she jumped from books to books. Tobin landed on a particularly high stack and it tipped. "Pan!" Bliss-Story exclaimed before the cat poofed away and the books tumbled down with a crash.

Bliss's momentum kept her moving and her foot caught on the edge of a pile of fallen books. Her hand reached out, heart jumping into her throat. She caught herself on the edge of one of the bookshelves with little issue. As she straightened up, her eyes shot to the sides. She had been alone a moment ago, but now...

Now she felt like someone (or maybe something) was watching her from nearby. Startled, she drew up her hood in a half-hearted attempt to look more professional (though any other Librarian might say that Bliss-Story being professional was impossible). She turned, calling out a soft "Hello?" that echoed throughout the near silent chamber.

  • It stunk of alcohol. Alcohol and sweat and vomit. Arcadie was so accustomed to the reek of human entertainment that she hardly minded it. It was a bit comforting, honestly, to know that the taverns in Meglarvas, Zasta was just as disgusting as any tavern in Rhitho. It abated a bit of the homesickness she only let herself feel when she was a little drunk and very low on money.

This close to the border between the two empires of Zasta and Vaszia, the bars were packed with humans, elves, and all other variety of race. If she continued to move West, she had no doubt it would become more and more diverse. Both in race and religion.

Here though, she could tell that it was mostly Path of Varso followers. Well, Zasta's version of Varso. There was not a book to be seen here, not even a written menu to choose food from. Even the signs for the shops and taverns in the town were merely pictures depicting their purpose. Arcadie's stay in Zasta had been the longest she'd gone without reading a single word. Even the wanted poster tucked neatly into her bag was just a picture and the numbers for how much the reward was.

At least they were allowed to read numbers here.

Arcadie leaned down to pet the red fox laying down at her feet. Theron leaned into the touch with a mild pleased trill. Taking a sip of her watered down ale, Arcadie let her gaze wander. From the circle of drunkards loudly singing in the corner to the frazzled barmaid picking up another round of drink. Her gaze finally settled on a tiefling girl chatting with a gnome that broke away from the drunkards.

She was pretty, very pretty, with pale purple skin and silvery hair just a touch paler than Arcadie's. Her long black horns stuck out of her hair, glinting in the gaslamp light of the tavern.

The gnome turned his head and Arcadie paused. A smile curled onto his lips and she knew that she'd been caught staring.

  • Orson was beginning to feel the effects of a pleasant buzz. His cheeks were warm and his smile wide as he scream-sang along with the local drunks. He was starting to get happier everyday now that he'd left home. The Stones had been right. He really just needed a change of scenery. And maybe a bit more dishonest money, but they hardly had to know about that. Orson trusted his personal rock, Prys, not to snitch on him.

Orson stumbled away from the drunks to join his companion. They had meant under unusual circumstances, but Orson liked to think that they were thick as thieves now. He grinned at Harrow Harper. "We need more drinks," he declared as she jumped onto the chair to be at eye level with her.

As she responded, he turned his head to find an Elf woman watching them from across the bar. She was tall, though everyone seemed tall to Orson here and she was hardly the tallest elf he'd ever seen, and slender. She wore light armor, clothing that looked easy to move around in. He spotted a quiver of arrows leaning up against her seat, a bow within grabbing distance of her hands.

Perhaps the thing that stood out most about her was that her silver-gray hair was cut short into a style popular with Fae and Human men. Orson hadn't seen many Elves with such short hair.

She looked away quickly and Orson grinned. "I bet she was checkin' one of us out, Harrow," he said, discreetly pointing in her direction. "You wanna see if it was you or me?"
