she laughed and punched him back into the wall. "nice try boy, youve got heart but its not enough."

Kyoya coughed and gasped for breath. He managed to stand up again, wincing. He ran at her again.

"Im not done yet!"

the head researcher smirked as she kneed him in the stomach and than slammed her arm into his back driving him to the floor. she kneeled next to him "how about i let you in on a little secret im the same as you guys."

Kyoya was coughing and gagging as he hit the floor. He began to pick himself back up.

"I don't care what you are.. Im not gonna let you hurt people without putting up a fight.. I will keep fighting until i have no more strength left.. and even after that.. i will continue fighting.."

"fine ill give you a chance" she dropped the key and walked out "have fun you have 10 min" jasmine looked around she was in an arena. there were multiple guards around and they began running at her with tasers she began to fight them off.

Name: Liam Lee

Age: 17

Appearance:

05e9fa720bf5c84d20c94d16f41d46d7.jpg

Liam is rather skinny for his age, and is about 5'7". His eyes are a bright blue color, although he makes sure that his hair is in the way of his eyes so he can hide his identity a bit. As shown in the picture, said hair is a jet-black color, as well as very long. Most of the time he wears regular old hoodies and jeans, but every so often he will go formal and wear a suit and tie.

Personality: In all things, he is calm, cool, and logical. Liam thinks from a strategic perspective first and foremost, and he makes decisions based on what he thinks is best for him. He rarely follows the judgement of others, believing himself to be the smartest person in the room, in any room. Of course, he isn't that intelligent (overconfidence is a problem for him), but his brainpower is still a force to be reckoned with. He is always ready with a humorous comment or a witty retort, having a good sense of humor. He is usually understanding and kind to most of his fellow subjects, although he doesn't get emotionally attached that easily.

Liam is also a suck-up to the HRF staff - on multiple occasions, he has disciplined other subjects and even assisted in testing - and he has received multiple special privileges for his cooperation. It is rumored that he has connections to some of the staff, and that he is being groomed to someday become a high-ranking researcher. However, although he appears to be on their "side", Liam's still a test subject and is experimented on like everybody else, causing him to secretly hate the researchers with a passion; he believes that he should be treated better than that for all that he's done, so he is actually plotting to do away with some of the staff and perhaps attempt to change the system. He resents it when people don't trust him, thinking that he only does what he needs to do to survive in the HRF.

History: Liam was the second person to be spirited away to the HRF. His mother had gone to work for the HRF when it first opened, and Liam vanished soon after at the age of 15. For the next two years, he was experimented on mercilessly, although he was given a bit of special treatment for whatever reason. The reason soon became apparent: The people at the HRF wanted him to join them. Of course, Liam had been tested multiple times, so he wasn't about to suddenly change sides. He did what they wanted, but he still holds a grudge and has never really given in, remaining something of a free agent that tends to favor his fellow subjects.

Ability: His tongue can be shortened and lengthened, with the maximum length being nine feet. Liam's tongue can be used to lift small objects or tie up people, and can also function as a whip-like weapon.

Weaknesses: Although he normally thinks realistically, Liam's pride can lead him wrong sometimes, causing him to think he is capable of more than he is. Also, his tongue takes longer to retract than it does to lengthen, which can be rather time-consuming.

A slender male figure sat in a chair and leaned on one arm, his eyes darting back and forth between surveillance screens. The room itself was unremarkable. What stood out was that the screens gave views of every nook and cranny of the HRF. Liam, who was watching said screens, was doing this as part of his free time. It was incredibly boring, of course, but it gave him a sense of self-importance.

Within minutes, something out of the ordinary came up on one of the screens. Liam sharply looked up towards it and saw Jasmine, the only subject that had arrived before him, in an arena of some sort surrounded by guards with tasers. That precious, perfect, inspiring, spirited young woman, Liam thought sarcastically. The guards will tear her to pieces, just like they would decimate anybody else. He shifted his gaze to a nearby screen, which showed a teenage girl and boy outside the arena having a scuffle with the head researcher. After a few seconds of deliberation, he spoke up. "Ms. Haverfield? May I send out an alert to the staff?" he asked the woman in a lab coat that was assigned to keep an eye on him.

Ms. Haverfield nodded her assent.

"Not that I care what you think," Liam muttered as he pressed the button on the intercom. "This is Liam Lee, also known as Subject Two," he began. "Those of you who have no high rank and are not occupied at the moment, please proceed to the arena to properly punish Subject One." Liam had never liked Jasmine; he viewed her as overly sappy, overly emotional, and too protective of others, like some kind of annoying den mother. Assigning her extra guards would be icing on his cake. "If you are already testing a subject or dealing with existing insubordination, stay as you are. I will come to escort the two subjects in the presence of the Head Researcher back to their quarters," Liam concluded, "before proceeding to my own." He took his finger off of the intercom button. "Just like the good little idiot you want me to be," he added as an afterthought. He would never say that on the intercom, of course.

"Ahem!" Ms. Haverfield cleared her throat. "Subject Two, slander of the HRF is--"

Liam cut her off. "Highly prohibited, I know, but you were the only one that heard it," he argued. He got to his feet and started heading for the door. "And don't call me Subject Two," he called as he made his way towards where the two insurrectionists were. Skylar's been here for at least a month, he recalled, and isn't Kyoya one of those newcomers? A newbie. Liam smiled at the thought of that. They always thought they could change things. How cute. Still, Liam hated to watch the new kids struggle like that; he wasn't entirely cold-blooded, and he could relate to the ones who were still getting a feel for this place. Perhaps he could show Kyoya how to really survive here once his job was done.

jasmine was trying to catch her breath after incapcitating the first wave of guards. then more started to show up. she had heard the orders over the guards radios. she grabbed the radio "liam im going to kick your ass if i find you." she hooked up the radio to herself and began fighting the next wave of guards

Liam continued making his way down the halls of the HRF in search of the two troublesome subjects. If his guess was correct, they were probably still in the courtyard. The courtyard was easy enough to find; it was in the exact center of this god-awful place, so most paths went towards it. The problem was finding the exact location within the courtyard. The vast majority of subjects spent their free time there, and there were usually quite a few guards dealing with problems. Sending the idle courtyard guards towards Jasmine had three rewards: first, it made things harder for the unfortunate Subject One; second, it helped Liam spot Kyoya and Skylar more easily; third, it helped give the other subjects a break, and allowed them more freedom for at least a little while. Back when he was fifteen, he would have given anything to have some time away from the prying eyes of the guards.

As the thin young man entered the courtyard, he took in the usual sights of subjects standing around talking, a few of them occasionally being torn away from a conversation for testing or for a proper scolding. He rose up on his toes to see some figures at the other end. Were they... Yes, they were the people he was looking for. Liam started heading for the subjects, the head researcher, and the array of other scientists. "Excuse me!" he called out, waving his hand around. "Do you need any help with these two, ma'am? I'll take them wherever you need me to." The look on his face was a calm and almost compliant one, but there was something in his eyes that seemed to say, I'm going to show them things. No matter where you want me to go, I will show these people things that will change them.

Kyoya managed to grasp the key in his hand, which he then used to unlocked the chains binding his hands. Free to move his arms around, he rubbed the feeling back into them, trying to get the blood to flow properly again. He then stood up and ran out of the cell. He followed the scent of Jasmine left from when they carried her out. He traced it back to the courtyard. He heard the intercom go off, and upon hearing the message, grew worried. Something must be happening to Jasmine. Looking across the courtyard, he spotted her.

(phantom im in the arena on the other side of the facility.)
jasmine sat down after dispatching the last of the guards liam sent. she was breathing heavy when she heard the arena speaker. it was another researcher. "good job subject one. i think the generals are definitely going to buy you, so just sit tight."

(Oh whoops, the last set of posts got me confused)
Kyoya walked up to the girl who he believed was Jasmine. He froze. It wasn't her. He looked around.
"Where is she? Did they use a fake scent trail? My nose never lies.."
He tried again. This time he knew the trail was right. He quickly began to run down the winding paths of the facility. He was soon outside the arena.

jasmine looked up and saw kyoya outside the sealed doors. a tear rolled down her face knowing there was nothing he could do to help. she got up and walked over to the door and pointed at a radio behind kyoya

Kyoya looked behind him to the radio. He grabbed it, assuming that's what she wanted him to do. He took out the key and began to unlock the gate.

she felt two sets of arms grab her arms she turned to see a squad of military soldiers. "kyoya dont open that gate. im petty sure these guys guns have real bullets"

Kyoya paused for a second, but then ignored her warning. He heard a click and the door swung open. He ran inside the arena, pausing in front of Jasmine and the soldiers holding her.

the soldiers pointed their guns at kyoya. "down on the ground now" then the researcher came on the loud speaker. "for how much you paid for the girl, you can have the boy too." the soldiers grabbed kyoya and handcuffed him immediately

Kyoya struggled. He growled angrily as he looked at the military soldiers.

"What the hell! Let go of me!"

the soldiers then transported us to a chopper. and had us restrained inside the chopper. then a high level officer sat in front of us. "i am commander jacobs. you guys are now property of the military. when we land you guys will be tagged so we can monitor your location and condition."

Kyoya was still struggling at his bindings as the commander was speaking. Kyoya froze when he mentioned them being tagged. He turned around angrily and looked him in the eye.

"What the hell do you mean tagged?!"
