The Evrensel Conflict: Act 1 -- Chapter 2, Mission: Dark Side of the Moon

Terry McGinnis
Doing his best at sabotaging some alarms

Terry noticed the peculiar scientist acting weird and since he only started so after looking at Markha, Terry caught on quick that she had done something to influence said scientist.

Following him, it seems that finding the alarms was going be easy, even if he only had one floor of alarms to deal with before he had to work his way up stairs and past guards and meandering scientists. Not great, but he needed to first know if the alarms were on the same circuit or if they were perhaps on their own respective circuit, which would mean that Terry's job would be easy or an extreme pain in the ass.

Backtracking to an alarm panel, Terry would begin the process of fiddling with the wires and internal systems of the alarm. Quickly finding out that his worries were indeed valid as the alarm was on its own circuit. "Ah, shock." He cursed under his breath as he fiddled with the wiring, before closing up the paneling, making it appear as if it wasn't just sabotaged. Terry, still invisible would continue along the path on the same level to sabotage the rest the scientist had examined. Each one a breeze because of a lack of intense presence of guards and scientists, or was thankfully covered by equipment that his sabotage would go unnoticed.

However, it left the ones on the upper levels to deal with, in more traffic heavy areas too.

Once done with the ones that the scientist had inadvertently led Terry to, he would climb a ladder up to the upper levels, to begin work on those, but first checking the area for any guards or personal that was looking in the direction of the panels.

Missing nearly a quarter of his body, still having water slishing around in his lower extremities… Alphonse was in no condition to defend himself or help his brother or help the others. The latter two was what had him most frustrated. If his arms hadn't been rend from his body he could have taken most of these strangely armored people by himself. But as it was… the small clasps and bits of torn metal (which he can still move) are all he would have. For now.
The two guards 'escorting' him step away abruptly, and Al looks left and right down at them. Another second and he had made up his mind to fight. It didn't matter how futile it would have been, or if he would have even survived. He had to do something. But he wouldn't get that chance. The claw mechanism descends before him, and he lets out a soft gasp in surprise to its sudden appearance. His head tilts up to look towards where it had come from. But the red eye draws his attention back. With a little stumble back the claws grab him forcibly, able to easily latch onto his chestplate. "No!" he screams as his knees bend and he tries to resist it. He is dragged forward at first, the plate metal of his feet making a brief screeching noise against the floor. He is then lifted right up off of his feet. One foot kicks up at the claw's connection, and then his other foot whips forward to kick at one of the claws. They are awkward kicks (Teacher would smack him for even attempting such sloppy moves) do little except make loud clanking sounds.
Alphonse hears his brother cry out, and he turns his head the best he can to see him. "ED!" he screams again, now trying to struggle more. With futility. And when he sees Ed get hit, he struggles harder. Still with futility. "No! Leave him alone! ED!"

And then he can no longer see them. He lets out a quiet whimpering "…big brother…" as his body now goes limp. All he has the power to do is dangle there. If he had arms this would be a different situation, obviously. He could get the chalk in the pouch strapped to his thigh and show these bullies the consequences of messing with the Elric brothers…

Flynn The Volitale - Character Sheet

"And what have we here?" The large scientist had finally moved over to Flynn in her cage, kneeling down to look at her. "Birdlike creature, appears to have advanced intelligence, physical appearance is like a velociraptor.... Hmmm..." The scientist fiddled with the cuffs of his uniform as he thought about what to do with Flynn. "Do you understand me?"
Confined in a heavy steel box with ankles and thighs tethered together and to her feet then anchored to the floor. Her tail tied to her chest then anchored to the rest. Her arms tightly anchored then stretched down to her feet and tied to the floor. Plus a muzzle around her head and connected to the floor. A flexible escape artist her taking had been an event of blood and fire for all involved until they finally got her in her current predicament. The feathers all along her body had the evidence of arc burns from several dozen taser strikes.

Though she couldn't help but think there were young feathers that paid for this position back home. Flynn resisted the urge toward dark laughter until the man's voice came through the tiny window and the urge to kill replaced it. As her eyeballs were fixed she couldn't look up far enough with the muzzle on to see who was out the window but it hardly mattered.

Flynn didn't need her translation spell or to see who it was to reply in fluent German, "More than you'd like, Teuton, and less than I want to."

Though starting to worry she tamped it down hoping the worm would get help soon. This dogma of theirs made it a dangerous gamble to let the worm go on its own but this was a dark place to be in.
"Fascinating~" The scientist looked at Flynn in awe of her fluent speaking. "Set up an interrogation chamber for this one. You will be a fine specimen to study further." With the command, two soldiers dragged her cage over to the chamber next to Larsa's, grabbing her by the next once they opened her cage and shoving her inside.

"What about the [RACIST REMAKR A NAZI WOULD MAKE], sir?" Another soldier asked the scientist.

"Put him in a cell and have him work the mines. It's all his kind is good for anyway." He even didn't even look at Tokui, with his tone being so dismissive of him in comparison to Flynn and Larsa. Another reminder that these were definitely Nazi's. Another three guards then approached Tokui, with one behind him striking the back of his left knee to make him kneel to the other two could grab him cuffed arms and drag him away.

--------------------------

The upper balconies had fewer guards then below, but each had snipers trained on the areas of the labs which held the more dangerous creatures and experiments. The whole place was open, with the only rooms connected to it being interrogation chambers people like Larsa were in, likely so that if something did escape, and the fire nozzles above went off, there wouldn't be a place for the escapees to hide in to avoid the fire. Everything in here had to burn, there couldn't be any chances. There were also drones flying above, overlooking the rest of the areas. They were small in size, having energy weaponry at the bottom of their bodies.

Markha, in the meantime, would watch as the large mechanical arms operating on both Elric brothers went to work, dismantling Al's body to try and find how he 'worked,' while Ed would start waking up as he felt a stringent of pain run through his arm as a laser tried cutting off small sections to reach the insides. His mouth would be gagged so he wouldn't scream and disrupt the other scientists doing their work, as the leader of this sadistic lab would turn up the volume by a desk to begin playing some work music.

"Remember, my friends: To achieve peace, one must not be afraid of the bloodshed to follow it," The head scientist began to say to his group, "The work we do here will lay about the foundations of a great alliance between all of our great nations and empires. To span across the heavens of so many worlds that seek peace, yet have not the means to attain it. We will bring to them the order which they crave, and the security of a new era of our lives. A beginning to the unimaginable dream of order, unity, and amity amongst hundreds of galaxies!" He toasted to everyone within the lab, as his tone raised for all to hear, with their response being, "Here here!" To cheer along with the prospect of a new form of totalitarianism of an unimaginable state.
That's when Markha would be approached by a guard. "You think your little trick could work on him?" He asked her, his accent different than the other guards. Scottish. "Only way I see us setting these people free is if he's held hostage. And I doubt he'll come willingly unless he was convinced otherwise."

Reactions: Epiphany
Barbaric.

That is the only word to come to mind for Markha as she watches the dissection of the brothers unfold. She does not make notes like the other scientists, and they don't seem to notice that her hands are still as a stone. They would be shaking if she did not have a lifetime of training to control her emotions and their effect on her body.

I have to do something. Anything.

If she had less control of herself, she would have done something rash when the armor brother had called out for his elder in that sad distressed little voice. He was only a child. While the leader was lecturing on the supposedly grand and benign goal of all this cruelty, Markha could only liken it to the broadcast of Sieve Palpatine doing the same when he declared the Galactic Republic would be reorganized into the Galactic Empire for similar goals.

“Here here!”. It pains her to raise her hand with others when they all affirm his speech, open her mouth and declare those words . But she uses this moment as an opportunity to wave subtly and plant a suggestion into the mind of the leader: to come to her, and ask for a status report. Simple, benign idea. He was the leader of this alab after all, he would want all his staff to be vigilant enough to provide a status report whenever asked.

And once close enough, she would subdue him and hold him by the blade of her lightsaber.

When a guard approaches her before the leader does, Markha is not afraid of being found out, as she can feel this one is not what he appears to be. A strong sense of duty, fearless determination, and in the deeper parts of his mind the glimmer of a want for ‘the finer things in life’.

Markha lowers her clipboard and nods at the guard, and directs her attention at the (hopefully)
incoming leader. She could bring her lightsaber to her hand and ignite it in two blinks of an eye if and when he was close enough, and this not-a-guard would be welcome backup for this improvised hostage situation.

Tokui Uchiha

Tokui was getting pretty tired of this situation, and he wanted to save the people who arrived with him here. Soon he'd have no chance to do that. He was finally addressed, and dismissed with exceptional speed. Tokui couldn't pick up on the meaning of a particular word, but he felt some particular hatred and spite in the words directed at him. Not that he cared, he did not care for the feelings of targets. As soon as the researcher's intention of not looking at him was clear, he activated his Sharingan and made a deep scan of the room. He noticed a few peculiarities. First, there was an invisible chakra signature, all he could see was floating chakra messing with some equipment. Then there were this out of tune characters, albeit slightly, the body language of one of them was off from the rest. Minimal gestures, or lack thereof. They were holding themselves back. On top of that, their chakra signature was pretty unique in comparison to the rest. That one, and the one one they were interacting with were up to something, he'd have to question them.

Tokui also analyzed, among other things, the machines around. He took note of the nozzles, they didn't look like scientific machines, not even the barbaric ones that were cutting Edward and dismantling Alphonse. An ignition system? High temperature resistant metal, spread all over the room, large expulsion area. He wasn't quite sure, but he wasn't going to risk it. The only solution seemed to be eliminate every single threat at once. At least the safest for the ones he wanted to save. Kill all these psychopaths at once, leave the invisible chakra sign and the two strange soldiers for interrogation.

WIthout missing a beat, Tokui swiftly opened his arms, shattering the cuffs effortlessly. He heard a swing from behind, so he vaulted backwards to finish scanning the room, and with a swift and skilled motion of his hand under the chin, snapped the neck of the guard behind him as he was going for that strike on the knee. His Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan flourished, along with the ribcage of the Susano'o. Using a body flicker, Tokui vanished from sight for an instant, only to reemerge behind a sniper standing in a corner, which he shoved forward. In a blink, he made the proper hand seals, and extended his palms forward. Ranton: Laser Circus! He exclaimed. A sphere of light emerged in his hands, and spread rays of destructive light all across the room. And to make sure no errors were made in regards to power and accuracy, he then exclaimed Bishamonten! The last things all these psychopaths watched was a beam of red light cleanly make a hole through their heads, the machines would get a bigger beam to ensure funcionality was no longer possible the trio captured with him would get a hole poked in their glass cell to drain the green liquid, and Alphonse and Edward had their machines permanently dismantled.

With a pair of body flickers, Tokui manifested himself in front of the two remaining members of this crazy group, with a kunai in each hand pointed at their throats. Though bleeding from one eye, he didn't hesitate in activating Benzaiten. He looked at both, triggering the genjutsu's first condition You will now speak truthfully. The command would actually make their respective brains feel compelled to follow it. It was a simple command, so on a simple mind, it should be more than enough with just one try Do you work with these people? he asked, calmly.

These were… odd times for this particular young man. His name is Stefan, and through a series of misadventures and unfortunate events he has found himself as a guard within a research center. At first he felt overwhelmed, a fact he was careful to keep to himself. If you are not strong, no matter the circumstance, then you don't deserve to serve in this glorious Reich. To be worthy of ascending to the next level of supremacy and consciousness. As it is… he follows orders obediently, constantly showing his superiors his loyalty and devotion to this order. Even when those orders involve inhuman monsters. Like the ones they had fished out of the 'testing lake' (as he and his comrades have come to call it). He now walks a patrol pattern with his partner Elias, both of them watching the experiments to ensure none of them get loose or hassle the researchers. He holds his rifle relaxed across his chest, his finger upon the trigger guard. They move in pairs, as it was directed to them. After that whole… snake demon person incident, patrols are always in groups of at least 2. Elias speaks in a soft tone, his voice slightly modified through his closed helmet. (Translated from the German) "(Hey, what do you think that thing was? Golem?") They speak of the large armored being they had just watched being lifted up. Stefan shakes his head and responds "(Nah. It's nose wasn't big enough") They chuckle at the Nazi joke together, Elias shaking his head. Stefan continues "(As long as we've been here, I've seen so many defective beings. The researchers are working to take the only what could be used to help…") They both stop as they hear a commotion behind them, and they turn as one, raising their rifles. Elias calls out as he takes a step back "(The negro!") But as Elias starts to raise his weapon, Stefan tackles Elias down so they land behind 3 large metallic crates. They both sit behind the cover, knees drawn up as they wait for the light to diminish. "(Okay Elias… time to get some glory points!)" They bump the barrels of their rifles together and as one they spring to their feet. They spin and begin to draw down on Tokui. But there is something else that gets their attention away from Tokui. "(The golem's free! Kill it!)" Stefan yells as he now turns to face where Alphonse fell. Now both of them turn towards Al and begin to fire on him. Their bullets ricochet off of Al's armored form as they begin to advance on him. And suddenly Alphonse springs into action. Stefan hears the metal monster let out a roar, and then a giddy evil laugh as he puts his knee right into the middle of Elias' chest. Elias cries out as he is pushed into the air and lands on his back dazed. ("Hold on Elias!") Stefan utters as he moves to hit Alphonse with the stock end of his rifle. But before he can pull it off, Al headbutts him. Stefan's eyes go wide under the helmet… seeing those horrific glowing red eyes narrow angrily on him. Stefan doesn't even hear the crack of his helmet as he falls unconscious.

The large armored Alphonse just hangs there motionlessly, his legs dangling down. It takes a lot for Al to give up but at this moment he has nothing. No clever plan to get himself out of this mess, no scheme already in the works. He's trapped, and he can't even help Ed. He looks down at himself, the claw clasping him at his chest plate. If he had the means he could unhinge that piece of his body and be free, but then what? He'd be even more limited in what he could do. He has no idea where he is or where he could go.

"Huh?" he utters softly as he hears some commotion below him. He turns his head as much as he can to see what was happening, but he can't see a thing from his vantage point. But something else catches his attention then. The claw holding him shudders, and as Al looks towards it… the claw suddenly releases him. He cries out as he falls, kicking his legs to try and right himself. With a loud echoing 'KLANG' he lands on his side. It is utter chaos there, Al rolls onto his stomach and pushes himself up. First to one knee, and then to his feet. 2 of the armored guards see him, and they decide Alphonse has to die. The 2 guards charge towards Al firing their guns at him. Al charges at them also, the bullets from those guns deflecting off of his armored form. He hates it when people fire at him like this, recklessly. Someone is bound to get hurt by the bullets deflecting off of him. As he gets into range Al lifts a big knee right into the chest of one of the guards, sending him flying back a foot or two and landing on his back. The other Nazi swings at Alphonse with the butt of his rifle, which Al easily evades. The he would step towards the Nazi and slams his helmet at the Nazi's helmet. With a loud crack sound the Nazi stumbles back and falls unconscious, his helmet split open. Alphonse takes a step back as he speak, looking between the two men. "Sorry… but I mean… you didn't give me much choice… I just wanted to help the others..." Al takes another step back to look down at himself, and then slowly around to try and wrap his mind around what the heck was happening… he seems lost. As if not seeming to know what to do next.

Flynn The Volitale - Character Sheet

Flynn wasn't sure what was going on outside her case but knew it wasn't something the Nazis expected. Also, she didn't feel the hairworm nearby. Someone else was rescuing her or did the worm send some sort of advance guard? Either had its problems given the creature's habits. It was born of a life that had been and a heart more callous than she had now. Something her current shackling to a small crate had reminded her. Flynn struggled at the tight bindings and thought of her last battlefield exploding hapless soldiers, removing the possibility of whatever celestial realm some of the defenders were sent to, then creating a vehicle that hungered for the fires of war. The Doctors' words on good men came to mind.

A more immediate phrase in mind shouted from the crate on the floor having heard Larsa moving nearby and nostrils flaring at the scent of one foreign, "You, out there, break the seal! Let me out!"

Flynn the Volatile was a hungry heart born of the Yellow, that demonic traveler, and a broken madman. Her darker impluses restrained only through will and an unlikely survival of a cruel fate. One that turned survival at all costs into a better understanding of those that suffer by way of a price too high. An evil tamed, perhaps, though one was best wary over the hungry teeth buried deep inside wild creatures backed into a corner. Growing terror, a memory of a small long container, a small metal barred window to the back of her own head, a growing fire around her, and the screaming. A memory that drove her to channel the old corruptive maw to gnash against her iron bindings. Fine rust creeps out of the bottom air holes in long channels of bright red. Whether it was the manacles eroding, the crude seal the Nazis painted on the box lid screaming as it fought back, or the Force itself with open wounds: the box cast sprays of rust as a monster inside it flailed.

She was waiting for the leader, focused on him and the next actions she would need to make, but still aware of her environment through The Force. When properly attuned as she was, a Jedi was aware not only of the present, but of feeling the significant movements of the future. That is why she is not caught off guard when the dark-skinned young man breaks his restraints and attacks all he feels are hostile. She is only surprised and impressed by the power and precision he uses to do it. None of the beams of light come close to hitting her or the man she had been about to collaborate with even as scientists only feet away fall dead, and she stands perfectly still right up to the moment the young man appears before them. He attempts to compel her mind, but the simple suggestion is batted away lightly as simply as Markha shakes her head at him.

“We are not your enemies. We were about to try and save everyone, before you did it yourself.” Markha says to Tokui, carefully bringing her hand up. “I’m only raising this visor.” She informs him and does so slowly, so that he can see her pink skin, light blue eyes and dark blue hair.

“My name is Markha, and in better times I would say you need to calm down, but we need everyone to be alert. I can feel that while you’ve killed most everyone else here, more are coming.” Markha turns her head to the brothers and other captives to see how they are fairing. She is relieved to see the brothers have been freed most of all.

“Now please, take your weapon off me so I can help the brothers over there.” She motions to Alphonse and Edward, who are in need of help reassembling themselves right now.

The head scientist froze in place as Markha held her lightsaber to his throat, yet didn't change his gesture at all. He seemed more annoyed than threatened as the guard who spoke to her quickly moved around the other scientists to hold them hostage too.

"Hands up!" He shouted, pushing them together as they complied, "Move slowly and up against the wall," he ordered next. Tokui and the others took car of some of the guards on the ground floor, but the ones up above were still to worry about, along with those who didn't wish to comply and wanted to take their chances. The friendly guard was quick to act though, putting himself behind the hostages so if they fired, he had human shields. Even the head scientist was perfectly positioned so Markha was behind him.

The guards took defensive positions, not yet firing until they could get a clean shot, with half trying to flank around to take out Markha first, while the ones above quickly rushed around the upper platforms to do the same.

It was upon Markha revealing herself to Tokui that he finally spoke up. "Remarkable features... For an alien," he commented, jotting down a note on his clipboard, "Exquisite beauty, with symmetrical facial and body features that would make for the ideal female companion for any male counterpart, but lightish-red skin tone suggests different skin glands from humans to produce probably potent pheromones to enhance their attractiveness and likeability to other humans and humanoid creatures. Suggest live autopsy to study subject to see chemical reactions of the body in real time. Be sure to keep stimuli active during procedure to ensure proper results."

Terry McGinnis
Bout to kick some Nazi Ass

Still invisible and just barely able to deal with the alarms, Terry missed the initial burst of carnage that Tokui had caused, only hearing the splatter of blood as multiple of the Nazis died.

And while Terry would be against wanton destruction, he understood that others wouldn't be against such actions, especially against such vile enemies or in such a desperate situation. He was amazed when Tokui looked right at him, making the vigilante look amazed despite the invisibility tech on the Batsuit.

He was just about to uncloak when the room was starting to fill with guards, human shields behind made out of the scientists by some of the prisoners. And where Terry was, he was in the prime spot to cause some chaos as he watched the guards stand no more than five feet from him. The guard trying to get an angle on those below.

And since Terry had a large collection of batarangs, he figured he would do some disarming of weapons. So taking hand of the several stored on his person, he threw with extreme precision at the various guards, some taking the batarangs to the hand that pierced it or some merely got cuts. The end result was a good few of them had dropped their weapons, unfortunately that some of them merely got a glancing blow or his batarangs bounced off the gun from how bulky they were.

The various yells of surprise filled the air as Terry took to delivering an ass kicking to the guard right next to him, a mix of judo and karate taught by Bruce made short work of said guard. The others with guns not lying on the bottom floor would turn towards their ally after he was knocked out, trying to fire in Terry's direction, a notion that he would not let happen as he used the railing and the suit's enhanced abilities to launch himself through the air, still cloaked.

Landing with a drop kick on two guards with the guns, knocking them back. A following up punch to the jaw and kick would make sure they'd stay knocked out for a good bit. Which just left the ones without guns, and since he didn't want any sort of picking up of the weapons dropped by the unconscious guards, he threw the guns from the two he drop kicked down below before going to kick more Nazi ass. A feat made easy by the fact he only had to deal with knife wielding psychos. He did have to turn off the cloak to save on energy as he used, but the enhanced strength and agility combined with the martial arts experience made short work of the remaining guards.

As he knocked out the last guard, he would wave down at Markha.

Flynn The Volitale - Character Sheet

Deep in the crate tethered by heavy chains and surrounded by hastily scrawled bindings, Flynn contemplated as old inner energies returned to erode inadequate steel and a fool's tether both poured their blood through the holes in her crate. A proper shackle gave her much time for contemplative reading on the ship when she was awake given she had many to pay to steal the sleep of. It kept her anchored to the plane if she didn't have to sleep though much like the plant creature with abundant wakefulness came an effort to fill it. There were so many different things and authors to read from the new multiverse if not the Doctor's own library.

In the end, as no one broke the fool's binding to save his life the words of a human general came to mind in the shape of their error as she found the haggard shackles giving way. There are paths which must not be followed, names that must not be attacked, powers which must not be connected, wills which must not be contested, and horrors which one must not lash their soul around. The part trying to keep to the cliffs of her black life path made the choice to conquer this not-crematorium to keep from slipping just a little further down from the fear of too many memories of being burnt alive.

Bindings when broken were things normally broken in shards as they returned to the fabric they came from but these started to scream in injury. Crackles of dying metal and wood rotting away Flynn lacerated the fabric of magic tethered around the box. Pale yellow feathered hands reached through wood and plastic that soiled with rot at her touch as one of the men with the scientists doubled over and started to vomit. Ichor, blood, and silver strands poured out of his mouth as Flynn stood up through the container reduced to musty rot in a plume of rust in scales and dust.

Now with less concern about being shot by the guards in the process of powering through cutting her way out of his astral tether then through the bindings of his soul like a blade. The pale yellow feathers instead fluxed blacker with her war against the darker impulses subsiding just to stare at the human's assumedly immutable parts being eviscerated within his being. Nothing was immutable, even the surprised faces of deities that learned from Grandfather Teeth that they could bleed. A long time had it been since she had to remember with an effort to care that men bleed. Since she went without the shackle of her worm to give her good parts somewhere firm to stand.

The rot continued to spread in the crate through everything the binding had touched. Cancerous wounds reached back from the withering body spraying blood, rust, and ichor. Clad in pale yellow feathers on her head and arms black ones fought them away as Flynn gathered her wits and managed a cool dissatisfaction for the bind-broken human's wracked soul. Flynn's eyes stopped dilating as she looked around to see who was there and it was nobody she immediately recognized. Well. inconvienent? Unfortunate? Were those just whispers of the black path considering only herself and her needs?

Nostrils flared at smelling the fresh kills and said with her eyes closed to nobody in particular, "I needed to not be in there anymore. I can't fix him. Not to put him back together."

Flynn didn't bother making an apology when she knew she had no heart for it. Free of the crate a step she shakes more dust and rust from her feathers that ebbed black for a moment then fought back as she looked at other scientists, "Don't make yourself my problem, I don't have my cruch of good character right now."

A free hand rubbed scales of rust from her abused wrists and stared at the others, "I finally get out of that town half-dead after repelling their attack and I wake up a prisoner just to be rescued by people I didn't expect. A Reacher's luck. Well I won't be killing these ticks today because neither of us needs to be dragged a little further down right now."

Feathers of her crest flapping up and down to clear the copious amounts of trapped rust she eyed Tokui without a glance of respect to his weapons, "But If you harm the souls ever brighter than these nazis here: I can and will hurt you. If you don't understand the difference between killing and hurting, ask der Chefwissenschaftler."

Tokui Uchiha

Tokui rose an eyebrow. Genjutsu immunity? Or maybe he just wasn't trying hard enough... He needed to practice the use of Benzaiten when it didn't come to interrogations. The lady calmly explained they were not aligned with the enemy, and slowly removed her visor. Not someone from his planet by a long shot, that's for sure. Then again, plenty of things he has been seeing could have the same said about them, so Tokui didn't feel that much of a shock. Tokui nodded back at Markha's suggestion, simply stating "Tokui" and looking around to make sure everything was in order, while putting one kunai away and stepping back.

It was not quite as he expected, he miscalculated his beam split, and there was some surviving opposition. Mostly on the upper platforms where they moved around to surround them. The chakra blur started taking them down in a non lethal way, and eventually revealed his physical body to Tokui. He had an interesting attire as well. The ones below wouldn't be so lucky, however. As they shuffled around to get a good shot on Markha and him while trying to cover from the terror that their crewmates suffered. "Markha, keep that scum alive, we mi-" he was cut off by a nazi trying to get a spray of bullets his way. With a subtle Body Flicker, Tokui evaded the projectiles and continued. While making a few motions with his hands at blinding speeds, he commented "Just keep him alive. Ranton: Light Saber!" as he traced a line from his kunai outwards, creating a blade of Storm chakra.

The armed nazis knew they were in trouble, so they all opened fire. Making use of Body Flickers and blade parries, he rushed at them while not letting a single stray bullet go near Markha behind him. One by one, they were all cut down by Tokui's chakra saber. The process took mere seconds, as he had already taken care of the bulk of the soldiers with his previous attack. When the last of the armed nazis dropped dead, Tokui turned to see a reptilian creature, not only speaking, but threatening him. This thing was definitely a part of the experimented. The kunai could no longer hold the stress that the jutsu put on it, and it crumbled away as the energy of the actual blade dispersed. Tokui nodded "I will not try my luck with you. The ones who needed to be neutralized have been... And I honestly rather not discover torture methods from other worlds first hand."

That being settled, he went to Alphonse, dislodged arm in hand. He seemed pretty altered, or so Tokui thought. Guessing the feelings of a chakra fueled sentient construct was hard. "I think I can weld it back on, but I doubt that's a permanent fix." he spoke in a slightly softer tone than the professional he used with everyone else. He wasn't sure how young this construct was, but it sounded like an overwhelmed child. While waiting for Alphonse, he glanced over to Markha "Apologies for interrupting whatever plan you had. Any other you might have in mind? We can discuss minor details like where are we and such later."

Alphonse's softly glowing eyes fall to the familiar voice of Tokui, and the woman he is speaking to (Markha). But he finds it hard to focus upon them alone, there is still a bit of chaos in the immediate area he finds himself standing. A few steps forward and he sees his brother still restrained. But its then he looks down at himself… he is just a mess. No arms… body barely being held together as it is from the damage his joints had taken. And filthy, that it is.
Tokui then approaches him, his own large armored arm being held. He then looks towards Edward… he wants to help him, but he can't do anything without flippin' arms. "Please…" he says softly, and he drops down to one knee with a soft metallic hollow 'clank' sound. "So I can help Ed. Thank you, sir." A quick sideway glance towards Markha and says in just as soft a tone. "Who are they? What do we do now?"

The notes and comments made by the head scientist are heard but not heeded; Markha keeps her focus and presence on the task at hand. There is not a glimmer of surprise at how he is able to surmise her species’ abilities from only the color of her skin, and she does not dignify his talk of an autopsy with a response either.

“Thank you, Tokui.” Markha feels the attack a second before he does and knows that he is capable of repelling it; allowing Markha to stay in place, and keep the head scientist at her mercy. She stares into the eyes of the man while the others deal with the remaining soldiers in the labs. Batman’s methods are more in line with her own, while Tokui’s are far too aggressive. But you can’t argue methods in the heat of battle.

“Now, you will lock down the lab and disable any countermeasures.” Markha waves her free hand and applies her will with more aggression than the one that had brought him to her.

Hearing the child-like metal being, Markha looks aside at him while keeping her lightsaber at the scientists’ back.

“They are evil people in an alliance of more evil people. We fortunate these ones only use guns, but we best not press our fortunes. We hold this position until our comrades return. Then we disable the base engines, and send out a beacon for escape.”

".... And why would I do that?" The head scientist answered her, as her attempt to 'persuade' him did nothing. He had an iron will, like he wasn't human. "If you wish to scare me into doing your bidding, then show me something to fear. Unless your 'pouty' face is what counts as fear for your misbegotten kind." He leaned in forward to Markha, his neck coming within inches of her saber. While she couldn't see his face under the helmet, she could sense the contempt he had towards her as he tried to intimidate the woman into doing 'something.'

Show him why he should fear a soft, pink little girl.

"Misbegotten kind." Markha repeats his words with a narrowing of her eyes. The scientist would feel his feet leave the floor and see Markha shut off her lightsaber with a hiss from three feet in the air.

The thought to torture the man occurs to her. She could pinch his windpipe easily to coerce him. Or better, his heart. But to go further would mean for her to move deeper into the dark side of the Force. She had done so once so far, in that desperate situation out of fear and hatred for her own shortcomings. Markha was determined not to do so again.

However getting a feel for the others in the room, she senses one of the freed prisoners would be happy to have him in their clutches.

"The words of the ignorant." She says to the scientist and with a flick of her wrist, flings him down to the floor and across the room to stop at the feet of Larsa, the one deceived into a tube.

"I'm sure she has some choice words for you." Markha dismisses the man to whatever Larsa has in mind for him and goes to assist the brothers. She is unsure if the one that is living armor would be affected, but for the other she exudes calming pheromones to have the desired effect on him.

"We're not safe yet, but we will be soon enough young man." She tells Edward, helping him off the table he'd been strapped into.

Larsa

Having had quite the amount of time to simmer in her small prison of betrayal, having the very one that had gone against her quite literally placed before her, she was more than happy to enact vengeance.

In a second, Larsa would lunge for the man, and picture of rage as she'd slam her hands into his face, toppling him over in a tackle as a sickly, red mist would begin appearing over her hands.

Forcing his head into the ground with her palms, the witch would let the curse soak into the struggling and grunting man, before she'd suddenly pull away, a cruel grin on her face as she'd stumble onto her feet once more, exhaling after suddenly having to exert herself so much, and apparently appearing a great deal more relieved.

The scientist on the other hand, would being screaming. Clawing at his face as he'd writhe on the ground, eventually managing to push himself onto his violently shaking legs.

"W-WHAT DID YOU..?!" Was all he'd manage to get out, before breaking into another surge of roars. Though the strange thing would be that he didn't sound to be in pain, but instead his voice would indicate complete and utter rage.

Yet before he could continue, Larsa would happily put a finger to her lips, shutting him up as she'd pick up one of those strange "guns" from one of the unconscious captors, and hand it to him, her face already filling with glee at the expected reactions of her new friends.

Then, she'd point through one of the exits, the gesture soon being followed by the scientist charging down the hall in her magically-induced frenzy, with gunshots echoing from the same direction not long after.

"Hope we didn't need him~"

The second she unstrapped him from the table, he didn't even pay attention to what Markha was saying, because he pushed her to the side, ripped off the mouth guard, ran right to the head scientist, and smashed that son of a bitch right in his stupid, German face with his metal arm as hard as his prosthetic would allow.

Which, in this case, shattered the scientist's helmet visor into shards. The guard that aided Markha quickly rushed in behind Edward to pull him away before he could get in a second punch. "LET AT HIM!" Edward yelled, kicking his feet in the air, as the guard was considerably taller than Ed was. "LET GO OF ME, I'LL SHOVE THAT STUPID HELMET DOWN YOUR THROAT!" Ed was a bit angry, even with the man in utter mental pain from Larsa's curse.

And with the visor broken, he threw his helmet off, revealing his face. It was suddenly clear why Markha's force trick didn't work

As Alphonse sits resting on one knee, Tokui uses his elite training to weld Alphonse's arm back onto his body proper. Al's other arm… he's not sure where it even is. But once he can get a Transmutation Array, he can make a new one. Or so he hopes. Once Tokui finishes, Al stands slowly and flexes his arm slowly. The aroma of smelted metal fills the air. He watches his arm as he moves it, and he can tell something is wrong with it. In fact, the forefinger and middle finger lay limp. Almost looking like deflated balloons hanging off of his 'hand'. "Thank you, sir. Thank you." He says softly, and he once more heads in Ed's direction as Markha releases him finally.

"Oh!" Alphonse exclaims as Ed rushes off of the table and shoots right for the head scientist. And when the helmet comes off, Al just stares in horror. He doesn't even know what he is looking at. Organic matter melded with metal… but not automail of course. It looks to.. refined… to be an accident in Alchemy. Which he has seen before, sadly. But after about 3 seconds he is forced to look away, his glowing eyes dimming a moment. He doesn't even want to look towards it. It's to horrid.

But he does approach Markha, and he stands before her, his head tilted down so his eyes can focus on her. He hears Ed shouting again, and he looks towards his brother with a soft sigh. But he looks back towards Markha, and he bows deeply at the waist as he speaks in a relieved tone, his voice sounding hollow. "Thank you, ma'am. Thank you so much for rescuing us. You and all of your group." He has no real idea how many are with her. He stands tall once more, and he motions towards Ed with his thumb, his forefinger and ring finger kind of swaying flatly. "Excuse me, please." He bows to her again, and then he stands and moves towards Edward. The guard sees Alphonse approaching, and he releases Ed suddenly. Alphonse moves right up to next to Edward, and he wraps his large arm around his brother's shoulders and hugs him tightly. To tightly? Well that's a possibility. His voice comes forth something of a trembling tone. "Big brother… I was afraid they were going to hurt you." Edward would be able to tell just how 'loose' Al's arm is, as if it could fall off at any moment. Alphonse says nothing more, he just hugs Ed.

“Wait!” Markha yells after Edward when he runs straight for the scientist, but chooses not to exert her will in the Force to stop him. To do that so hastily could have harmed the young man. She does run after him, but is too late to prevent him from punching the prone scientist, and their new ally pulls him away. The revelation of what the scientist was comes as little surprise to her; she has seen plenty of cyborgs in her time as a Jedi Knight and in exile. She feels the anguish the cyborg suffers from the spell placed on him by the woman, and feels regret for having thrown him to her in the first place. Revenge, she had expected, but not this.

Markha is momentarily distracted by the brother thanking her and the group. What a curious being. All metal, yet she feels him in The Force same as any others. And so polite, childlike. Questions about what he was would have to wait.

“You are welcome.” She says to the armor child and nods when he asks to be excused. Markha walks towards the scientist, and in one swift flash of blue beheads the cyborg scientist to end his suffering. For good measure, just to be safe, she also swings the blade down the middle of the torso, cutting the body in half before it could fall to the floor. The halves split and fall on opposite sides.

There is the sound of alarms from outside the lab then.

“That has to be the others. We should be expecting them soon.” Markha shuts off her lightsaber and holds their escape device at the ready. “When they arrive, everyone gathers around me, and when I activate this device we will be transported to safety.” She says for the ones they had rescued, saving the details for later. It would take too long to explain the peculiar nature of their base of operations.
