"Is the facility operational?"

"I wouldn't have brought you here if it were unfinished, and very much like a fine steak, I do not leave things unfinished."

"Then let us commence our business."

-------------------------------------------------------------

Previously:

In the journey to Orzammar, the runaway Jedi Markha was signaled by another force user of their presence within the city. However, before she could confront them, the mysterious figure vanished, leaving behind a small device that seemed to allow people to travel between universes like the heroes could, except the tech was different from theirs. There was also a message left with the device:

"Don't come alone." -- A friend

Weighing their options, and at the insistence of Markha, the group decided to take the chance and used the device to travel to wherever it may lead. But, bringing enough people with her to protect the Jedi against whatever may come. What they find will astonish them.

------------------------------------------------------------

Markha would arrive at the location first, using her suggestion of using the device as a beacon to allow others to come to the source. When she arrived, the others would follow suit in hiding, in case of ambush, even if the note said to bring friends. The teleportation would be exactly the same as how she arrived in this mess to begin with, a flash of green light, and falling through space and time. Yet, unlike before, she would show up in the middle of a circular room. It looked like a small spaceport for smaller ships, with five docking bay doors for air pressure, and a singular elevator in the center, big enough three dozen people. There was also windows that peered outside wherever they were. It would show them where they were.

simsinghart-asteroid-drilling-st-1-fd314cb6-znm4.jpg

They were at the top of one of the facilities, built into the asteroid field orbiting a moon to a blue gas planet. These bases were massive, going down miles and miles, probably even further into the asteroid than they could see. When the others arrived, they would be brought in through the TARDIS, materializing into the corner of the room for them all to hide in.

But there would be no one around for them to see. At least, not yet. Markha would sense them.

"There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity."

A voice would echo throughout the room, pausing after serenity to see if Markha knew the rest of the code.

----------------------------------------------------------

Down below in the lower sections of the same base the others were in, prisoners were being escorted into a massive white room. It was the size of a house without walls, each person dressed in prisoner attire; grey all over with black arm sleeves. The guards themselves were a familiar enemy, Nazi's. The same ones who attacked Thedas, wearing prison guard armor. Although the base itself bared no swastika or Nazi imagery. Once the prisoners were escorted to the room in restraints, they were removed from their arms, legs and head, and pushed into the room through a metal door. Once they were all inside, the door closed, and besides for a railing overhead, there seemed no other way out, with three guards on the railing overlooking them all.

What they didn't know was why they were in here. First they were abducted from their worlds by the green flash of light, the next they were taken captive, as they would arrive in a part of the facility that seemed designed to grab random people across the multiverse. A teleporter that glowed the same green energy that powered the other teleporters, but run by the facility owners. Those brought here were cuffed and manhandled in their cells. Then taken away for whatever was going on here. In this case, a massive white cell.

They wouldn't expect what this cell was made for....

Terry McGinnis
Porting as a Plus One

When Terry was asked to join along on a mission as he just recovered, he happily accepted considering they required someone who could be stealthy and handle themselves in a fight.

Donning the Batsuit, making sure the cloaking tech had been fully charged and a visit to the Armory had replenished most of his gadgets, sans the Batarangs as evident that the young man didn't really know how to make his own just yet, Bruce wanting to make sure he had the initial steps of crime fighting down first, and possibly if he was ever captured or had his mind read, or went rogue, he didn't give the criminal underworld an insight to his creations.

Waiting until Markha had teleported, and the device they were using to follow her signal as a beacon had started up. Terry had activated his cloak and was among the first to be teleported. Standing next to her, no doubt she could detect most of them when the others arrived as he made sure to remain hidden. Standing up against a wall in the event the room had traffic beyond their group, or if an ambush commenced.

Filtering through various filters on the cowl, Terry looked for anything that could entail any tomfoolery that couldn't be seen by the naked eye, such as handprints or DNA left behind by folks that had gone through here recently, or whatever.

A flash of green, and Markha for a few seconds stands alone in the room while the others catch up. She still wears a brown cloak from the previous venture, but beneath she has taken on one of the sets of Mandalorian armor found in the Armory. It is the most familiar to her, owing to the lessons at the Temple about the many conflicts the Mandalorians had with the Jedi Order in ages past. It was painted black, ideal for stealth. The helmet was more comfortable than she had thought.

Markha does not move from where she was dropped by the green light. The windows are large enough to give a good view from afar, and she can feel out with the Force better now that she has taken a little time to get out of her own head to better commune with The Force. She feels her companions arriving, one coming to stand right next to her.

Still no sense of the Force-sensitive she has come seeking; but they make themselves known. The words touch her deeply, and she repeats them in serene reverence even as the voice stops.

"There is no chaos, there is harmony
There is no Death, there is The Force."

Markha completes the Jedi Oath and lets silence sit for a few seconds.

"I have come, and not alone, as you asked." Markha declares, her voice given more bass with the vocoder of her helmet.

"Why?" She asks plainly, not moving an inch from where she had landed.

A young woman sits within the cockpit of her own spaceship. Her name is Pidge, though that is of course not the name her parents gave her. But it's what everyone knows her as. She is clad in a form fitting white armor/environmental suit with green highlights, the armor of a Paladin. Gentle green hues of readouts and control boards alight around her slim and muscular form. She sits in her seat with her legs crossed under her body, her eyes half closed as she watches the holographic screen in front of her. Her ears are covered by large headphones, connected to nothing visible. And through those headphones she is listening to music that is being produced by the very space around her.

Kind of.

She has created various algorithms to collect the background 'noise' produced by most stellar bodies with a mass of more than… a large asteroid, let's say for argument's sake. The sounds might seem like random noises to the average person, but Pidge hears more than that. She hears the rhythm of the very cosmos. The stuff of stardust. To her the universe isn't just a beautiful thing to stare out at, it's makes pretty neat music. So the algorithms she has created gathers these pulses along the whole of the electromagnetic spectrum and organizes them into similar groups. And those similar groupings are what makes the 'music' she is so fond of. It's kind of like taking instruments from hundreds of different sources and matching the rhythms that are similar to one another, making them sound as if they were playing in harmony.

It's really pretty simple.

Her 'ship' as it were, floats about 300,000 miles above the 5th planet of the Sol System. Jupiter. But the ship is not like any that had ever seen the light of day. It was forged in the shape of a giant cat, a lion more precisely. One that from paws to withers measures about 120 feet. So yes, she's a big ship. But at this moment, it just drifts. Seeing the giant mech lion just floating above the helium and hydrogen atmosphere of Jupiter really is quite the sight. She seems almost as if it were without power, her eyes faded to black, her body hanging slack in the darkness.

A small smile alights the face of the pilot, Pidge. She looks over the readings of the holographic display in front of her, sitting up in her pilot's chair now. Her brown eyes scan over the readouts, results of some power conversion technologies she has been working on for civilizations that aren't quite yet up to being able to harvest and safely use Quintessence. An energy resource that is starting to become more common now. But some say her's is a fool's errand, as there would never be enough of the energy to be able to get to the outer rim planets safely and efficiently. But with the Galra now having open borders (for the most part) she is hopeful everyone in the galaxy will be able to use this resource.

She has been sitting out here in space for more than 6 hours working. Constantly. Though she did take a few breaks for the rest room, for some stored food and for a couple space walks. There are few things that can make you feel utterly insignificant than staring up at the Solar System's largest world from so close. Humbling.

Hour 7 starts to come around, and she lets out a little yawn. Maybe it's time to head back to Earth, see what the others are up to. She would work on her projects on her home world, but she rather enjoys the quiet of the nothing around her in space. Knowing she is isolated from… everything… out here. Save for what she allows in. Helps her to get a ton of work done without being interrupted. Her eyes flutter as she abruptly hears through her headphones a strange break in rhythm. Huh… that shouldn't be. Her coding is supposed to keep every electromagnetic oscillation concurrent… but it's not. She sits up on her chair, her hands moving to rest on her headphones to hear a bit better.

And that's when it happens.

Pidge abruptly no longer finds herself at the bridge of her ship, but in a room with a bunch of people she doesn't know. Almost immediately she is grabbed up and put into restraints. "Hey!" She cries out as she tries to fight them off. But with futility. She has been ambushed, and they seemed very ready for her. "Leggo!" She cries out once more as she continues to struggle. But she is lead away, unable to move her now that she is shackled. That doesn't stop her from trying, though. It doesn't stop her from trying to tear her away from these armored men. "Stop!" She yells out, her restraints are removed and she is suddenly pushed through a metal door. She lands on the floor with a grunt and scrambles to her feet to try and get to that same doorway before it's gone. But she doesn't reach it in time. "No No! Let me out! Let me out!" She slams her fists against the wall, but it will not open. She grits her teeth and pushes on the wall, but with no effect. Stepping away from it, she looks around slowly. Her mind is catching up to her situation, even she is baffled right now.

Another moment passes, and a door once more opens. But this time… a mechanical cat is shoved through. With a loud clanking sound it lands on the floor and slides a little. Coming to rest on her side, the mech just lays there. Pidge just stares in disbelief. "Green?" she whispers, taking a step closer to the mech. Suddenly she sprints to it, sliding on her knees to it. Her hands run over the now tiny lion (now just 7 feet from paw to withers, 12 from tip of nose to tip of tail) and she is… even more baffled. "Green.." she whispers, but there is no response. Pidge leans down to try and see the lion's eyes, but they are blackened. "What did they do to you? What happened?" She utters softly. She knows in her soul that this is her Green Lion, this is her partner. And she is still functioning on some level, just unresponsive.

From out of the shadows of the room, approached the cloaked figure. He pulled back his hood to reveal his face to her. "Because for the sake of the Jedi order, and the Republic, what evil is being created here on this base must be stopped."

Smiling to Markha, he bowed to her, showing no sense of aggression or darkness if she sensed him through the force. "It's a pleasure to again see another Jedi. My name is Bram, apprentice to Jedi Master Zhin. I can assume the others in hiding are also with you?" He could easily sense the others.

As she looked down at her shrunken vehicle friend, even more prisoners were brought into this large room. Dozens and dozens, well into the hundreds it felt like, until there wasn't much room left to fit in. It was like they were being brought in here to be executed.

"Komm rein, untermenschlicher Abschaum!" A soldier yelled, pushing a man into the room once he was uncuffed like the others. He landed right next to Pidge on his hands and knees. He looked a little beat up around the face, some bruises along the check and his right eye. But, he swept back his hair in calm manner, and slowly breathed out, before standing back up, eyeing the Germans and just charmingly said aloud, "Thank you!" He then looked around the room, studying it for a brief moment, before finally seeing Pidge on the ground. She looked to be a child. "You alright?" He offered her a hand to help her up to her feet.

Welcome to:

THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON

With a simple breath and a single syllable Kaz would fade from peoples recognition. She wasn't invisible by a long shot, she was just... slightly less noticeable. If someone were to stare directly at her in an empty room, they might get the feeling something should be there, yet they just couldn't perceive what it was. A neat little trick she picked up in school, useful for sneaking in to class after the bell rang. That is... if the teacher was distracted enough. The flash of green took her away from The Pathfinder, and to this... place.

This place didn't feel right. Ah! That's why! It was in space. Kaz could always tell the feeling of microgravity. She was studying it after all. Well... not that, but planets. Markha appeared to be in conversation with another being, ah! That must be the person they were following. Well.. judging by the similar outfit to Marhka that is.

"You can say that in a sense. Here or there, we could be anywhere." She spoke with a small smile. "Since you called us here I assume you have a plan, Bram. Care to share it with the class?" She didn't fully trust the 'Jedi'. Not at all. He could likely feel this and frankly she didn't give a shit. Kaz would still beat the fuck out of this man if he hurt Markha. But she didn't show it in her outward actions. In fact, she looked very relaxed, maybe a bit to confident in herself at the moment... After all, they were in space. And she didn't need to breathe.

"I am Markha, Jedi Knight." Markha bows and introduces herself to Bram without adding who her Master had been, as it was not in the tradition of her time to do so. You only did so when you were the practicing apprentice of a Master. If you were a Youngling in the Temple, you would only introduce yourself by your given name, and that you were 'of the Jedi Order'. Padawans did so in the fashion of this young man. Knights and Masters only stated their rank in the Order.

"In my time, I am sorry to say, the Jedi Order and the Republic it defended, are no more." Markha informs Bram, stepping toward him slowly. She has been aware of this reality for years, but to say it aloud weighs heavily on her. Particularly to be informing one who does not know it will happen either in the immediate or distant future.

"But if there is evil here, I feel none who have come with me would sleep well after leaving this place. Tell us how we can help." She says to Bram.

It all starts with darkness.

9Z9zVlJ.jpeg
And then slowly, light begins to pierce that veil of black. A gentle green hue, starting as a small orb and then expanding. The light begins to take shape. A shape of life, the form of a lion. It glows of green, it glows of life. As it's form begins to come into more of a clear focus, the world around it does the same. The lion's eyes glow softly and it takes in its surroundings. A forest… the only forest. A forest of trees and of life that extends into forever.

The lion is pleased with where it finds itself. Starting into a sudden gallop it weaves through the tree with an almost unnatural speed. Through the thick foliage it moves with silence, the lion's eyes seeing everything around it. Every leaf dangling from its tree, every little bug ascending blades of grass. The forest is quiet. The forest is safe.

She is the Guardian Spirit of the Forest.

Time passes, as is its want. The Guardian Spirit continues its trek through the infinite forest. But not long then… she would come to a slowed pace. From a gallop to a light trot and then to an even slower gait. Glowing eyes see impossibly far into the distance of the forest, and something has caught her attention. Caught her curious nature. To a stop she comes with an attempt to discern what it is she senses. Something familiar.

It wouldn't take terribly long for her to get to her destination, to what it was she had sensed. A clearing she then comes upon, and she stops at its edge. Sitting back on her haunches she looks into the clearing, and the Human laying there in the emerald hued grass. The Human is the chosen partner of this Guardian Spirit. Before the two had ever met, the Guardian Spirit knew of her. She had known of the Human for many years, she knew they were destined to meet.

The Guardian Spirit of the Forest and her Paladin.

The Human, the Paladin looks quite relaxed lying there in the grass. And this puts the Spirit at ease. And it is then a darkness encroaches. Subtle at first, the shadows of trees along the perimeter seeming to stretch forth unnaturally. Slowly, cautiously the Guardian Spirit pushes herself to a standing position. Glowing eyes watch the clearing… the shadows gather. But they are not shadows as defined by… the lack of light. These shadows are not benign things. They are a danger, a danger to the Paladin. And the Paladin is unaware of the coming danger. The Paladin cannot see that there is imminent and mortal danger here.

With no hesitation the Guardian launches herself forward towards the clearing to aid the Paladin. As has happened many times in the past. But this time… she hits a translucent wall. Her body crumbles to the ground, and she scrambles to get upright, baring her fangs. Again she tries, and again she just bounces off the wall that is there suddenly. Now the Guardian can properly see the wall between herself and her Paladin. A translucent lavender color lined with what almost look like circuit pathways. She turns then and moves away a little. Turning once more to face the barrier, the Guardian's form begins to glow more brilliantly. A beam of green energy lashes forth, and it slams against the translucent wall. But the energy does nothing to the integrity of the barrier. The green energy dissipates, and the lion rears up and lets out a loud roar. Rather, she tries to. But no sound comes forth. Landing on her front paws now and she tries to roar again. But again… silence.

There are bubbling shadows now around the Paladin, but she is thus far unaware of them. The Guardian is enraged… she can not do anything. The Guardian watches as the shadows begin to extend towards the Paladin. They represent death, and it is encroaching. There is something holding her back from her Paladin.

Back in the world of the real…

Pidge's eyes look over the seeming deactivated mechanical cat, her hands running along its slick lines. Every detail is the same… just about 80% less mass. Hm… maybe closer to 86% percent. Yes, that seems more reasonable.

ANYway

The entrance opens once more and from her kneeling position she looks towards the armed guards ushering more into the room. Her eyes only move, partially concealed behind her rather unruly bangs. The guards seem to be wearing uniforms, not armor. They have projectile weapons, not energy based. And the words they use.. is that Euratsian? No… no to many syllables between pauses. It's German! But why would they be using a dead language? Is it to conceal their true origins? Her eyes draw to the man that is shoved near her, and a scowl finds its way onto her features. Looking back towards the retreating guards, she comes up with no less than 5 ways to disarm and overrun them. Sadly, most of those ideas are based on her being better equipped than she is now. No Armor, no Bayard, no Lions, no fellow Paladins. And the lack of those narrows her options. But she does still have options.

The man offers her help, and she reaches up to grasp his hand. Pulling herself to her feet she still scowls as she speaks. "I have to get out of here." She looks up to him as she continues "I'm a Paladin of Voltron. If you know anything about this place, I need to know so I can help all of us." She can see he's hurt, but at this moment that can't be at the top of her 'to do' list. And as far as she can tell it's a few contusions, and she has nothing extraordinary that could heal him.

And as she tries to get some intel, the green colored mechanical cat continues to just lay on the floor, unable to move or act in any way.

"The republic is no more?" It may have been in disarray by the Sith invasion, especially after they conquest of Korriban, but he understood what she meant by 'in her time.' "Then... We are from two different times?" He showed off his lightsaber to her, specifically the hilt, to study both of theirs to see any differences.

tanner-hartman-arns-unshielded-weaponset-13.jpg

His was of an ancient design, something she was sure to recognize as hundreds of years old compared to hers. "Then things are far worse than I believed." He continued, putting his saber away once they both had a good look at the others. "I am from a time where The Jedi Order had recently relocated to the planet Tython, after the Sith attacked Coruscant and destroyed the Jedi Temple. Me and other Jedi were given missions to go undercover deep into Sith Empire territory, in hopes to understanding how the Sith were able to attack with such strength from right under our noses. Mine was to establish contact with an Imperial Spy ring on Hutta, after we found out they were trying to create an alliance with the local Hutt gangs to try and form a relationship with the Hutt Cartel."

As he spoke, the group would notice shadows passing across the windows. two small fleets had begun entering the orbit of the asteroid field. One was of Imperial cruises that also looked hundreds of years old. The others were Separatist, as Markha would recognize. "Once I was under cover, I heard rumors that the Sith had discovered something, and that parts of their fleets were to be put into an 'expedition' across the galaxy. I never knew what the expedition was about. Until recently." He explained, walking over to the window. "Darth Malgus. If his name is still somehow recognized by the Jedi in your time," he said with disdain that such a man like him would even be written down in their history texts. "He somehow found the technology to not only travel between universes. But had contacted Sith of the distant past. Such technology like this, in the hands of the Sith, is dangerous beyond comprehension. With some help from a female Rattataki, I managed to sneak aboard a Imperial space cruiser and infiltrate Dromund Kaas. I tried to steal blueprints, prototypes, whatever I could from the Sith experimental tech labs, but all I could get was these." He showed his own device, the same one Markha had that brought her here.

"I was caught trying to escape, and so I used this to avoid capture. But, I used random coordinates to make my jump. I still haven't found the right ones to return me to our galaxy to warn the Jedi about what Malgus is planning. Or if what I've told you is even his whole plan. All I know is several of the worlds I visited, the Sith have as well, and they're gathering an alliance of proportions unlike any other. And they've been using these bases here as a central point for meeting and sharing their tech. And if I can't find my way home, then I must do something to stop this. I've been trying to find people who are willing to help, and running into you, Markha, has been nothing short of a miracle. I may not know how all of this started, but we must finish it before it's too late. And why I needed you and your companions help." He was sincere in his plea to her, and the evidence was outside in those ships that indeed the Sith, from past and present, could now meet together. That already was troubling.

---------------------------------------------

Yet.

"You and everyone else." The man replied when she said she had to get out. I mean, no one really looked happy to be here, if they weren't beaten like he was, they were certainly starving or sick. She had been lucky in her treatment, as this place was like an internment camp. She was too new here to have suffered like everyone else had. Mentioning Voltron next, the man clearly didn't know what she was talking about. "I think I know just as much as you for this place." He spoke with a Scottish accent, and while speaking, moved across the floor between the people to study the room more.

No turrets, barely any guards along the walkway above them, and too many people to be an execution chamber. Unless they had a lot of Zyklon-B they were gonna flood the room with. Nazi's were usually too clever about murder and genocide. But there had to be a catch here for a death trap. That's when he looked to the ground and noticed something. He bent down in the center of the room, where it was cut off into two halves by a black line. He crossed his fingers around it, feeling not only a crack between the floor panels, but also a small airflow coming out from it. If they were to be murdered, a place like this would have blood stains on the ground, even if they cleaned a hundred times. Yet, the floor was spotless. It hit him.

"Get to a corner." He told Pidge once he stood up, urgency in his voice. "Get a wall and find something to hold onto!" He started pushing her back to where the door was, but it was too late. Slowly, the floor began to open in half, retracting into the walls. At first, people confusingly looked down as they felt the floor move, then noticing the empty abyss below, started to panic and run back to the walls as well. The man, taking Pidge by the hand, ran past everyone as best he could, squeezing the young Paladin's arm hard so as not to lose her, as she would be pushed and shoved by everyone as they tried running to find something to hold onto before they fell into the pit below.

The man with the strange accent that had helped her says he didn't know either of anything here. Which isn't surprising. She had been taking so abruptly and against her will, she was sure the same could be said of those present. But all of them looked like they had been through some horrid ordeals… did Pidge just not get her turn yet?

The look in his eyes as she identifies herself… he doesn't have a clue as to what she speaks of. But Voltron and the Paladins were known throughout the whole of the galaxy, if even in just legends. She doesn't want to jump to conclusions, but that could mean a number of things. Either he, himself, is just unaware of Voltron. Or she is in a space where word of the Paladins simply hasn't reached. Or Voltron doesn't even exist. Travelling through dimensional openings isn't any new thing for Pidge, or Voltron. With that thought she looks towards Green, she still isn't active. But she is 'alive'… at least as alive as she could be considered. She just won't wake up. Is it an intentional thing? A way of protecting herself, as she had done when Pidge first found her deep in that thick forest. Or is it a forced unconsciousness?

And now the man moves off and Pidge looks around them. Yes, everyone is as confused as she. Pidge follows her new companion, looking upwards then. To far to jump… she could use her Bayard if she had it to get out of here. Probably pretty easily. All the more reason, she's sure, that it was taken from her. Pidge stands near him as she crouches to examine the floor, her eyes following his gaze to the floor. At almost the same time she notices the slightest of breaks in the floor, a straight line going the length of the floor itself. She turns a little, looking for more lines along the floor. But she sees none, or perhaps they aren't as pronounced as this one.

She hears him, and she looks towards him. Get to a corner? Looking over her shoulder, she looks for anything that could be held onto. But the walls were bare. "Hey!" she exclaims as he starts to push her towards the wall itself. The sound of panic suddenly fills the air, it is a sound easily recognized by Pidge. Unfortunately. As young as she might be, as young as she seems, she has been through much. Wide eyed she stares at the floor as it begins to open, and she absently feels him take her hand. "Yeah… the wall…" she utters quietly as now she follows him, looking over her shoulder the whole time as that gap just gets bigger. Together they get to that wall, and her gaze moves in the direction of her unmoving partner. The mechanical cat that just lays there. It moves as the floor under it does, being pushed towards the wall until it actually hits the wall almost gently. But still unmoving.

Now the sound of panicked cries are more prominent, enough to cause Pidge's eyes to look away from Green. People are starting to disappear over the newly formed ledge, the gradually increasing ledge. "Oh no" she whispers as she watches. As she hears the screams of those who are starting to fall.

Her gaze snaps to her downed partner. Gritting her teeth she pulls her hand from her rescuer and exclaims "Stay close to the wall and look for something to hang onto!" She knows there is no such thing. "I'm gonna stop the floor!" And with this exclamation she darts off running with all she has towards Green. The odds at this moment for all along the moving floor are pretty abysmal, and abysmal might be an optimistic assessment. But she can't just stand there and not try something.

Pidge's first instinct was to get everyone away from the widening gap, but to what end? There was, at the moment, nowhere for them to get to safety. This particular trap was well engineered, she had to admire the horrible simplicity of it. Getting to the mechanical lion she slides to a halt near it on her knees, having to weave her way towards it through the fleeing folks around her. The lion is laying on her side against the wall, and Pidge reaches to grasp one of its front paws. Never did she think she would ever be manually manipulating the lion's limbs. With a grunt she lifts up the paw… turns out its pretty heavy… and she tries to maneuver it towards the retreating wall's base. Pushing herself up she straddles the limb of the lion to try and push the claws of the lion against that base of the wall. Pressing down on it as hard as she can, she is trying to wedge the lion's claws between the moving floor and wall. She is trying to jam it, to stop it from moving further. The claws are effecting the floor… in the respect they are lightly digging into the floor itself. There will probably be some light claw marks on the floor, but that's the extent of her efforts. She just doesn't have the strength needed to force the claws deeper into the moving floor, to try and at least slow it. Glancing over her shoulder she sees the gap widening moreso… and edge of the floor nears her. There's nothing she can do, but she doesn't give up. She doesn't give into despair, she can't. Green is relying on her… these people need her.

But at the end, it's an exercise in futility.

She feels the weight of the lion shift under her, and back half of the lion begins to slide over the edge. And just as she looks back once more over her shoulder, she finds herself falling backwards. Eyes wide, she reaches out to grasp anything she can as she screams. But all she finds is empty air. She falls into the darkness.. her partner falls. And so does everyone else.

His manner of introduction had given Martha a window into the era he came from. Now Bram gave more details to the years in that era. Not even Master Yoda was a member of the Order yet in his time.

When Bram presents his lightsaber, Martha responds in kind, holding it horizontally. She notes how Bram's is visibly of an older design, it has more character than hers. Her weapon was silver and black, same as most other Jedi of her time who were encouraged to build a unique lightsaber out of various components, yet they mostly appeared the same silver and black. She blinks to refocus. As Bram talks, Markha keeps feeling him through their connection to The Force to detect any intent to deceive or harm them. She feels the disgust at the name of Darth Malgus, the apprehension of the situation.

"Bram is telling us the truth as he knows it." Markha says to the others as soon as the man concludes his long explanation. She goes to the nearest window, and narrows her eyes at the Seperatist ships exiting hyperspace beside the ships of the Sith Empire. She cloaks her presence in The Force and hopes none of the Sith had felt either herself or Bram.

"I don't like our odds with these ships here. We are too small and Ill-equipped to fight any kind of direct battle with this fleet. Even having the others would not help much more, I'm afraid." Markha says to the others. She moves her cloak to look at the device strapped to her hip. It was a device The Doctor said would allow them to follow her, and it worked as evidenced by the others being here. It was also their only means of rescue.

"I may have a bad feeling about this, but I believe we can find a way to bring this station down. Even if it only delays their plans, we need to do it." She turns around to the others. "Any delay could mean our homes are safe for that time."

"Thank you, Markha." Bram bowed to her again in appreciation. "As small as you all are, I think it will add to our advantage. So far, no one knows I'm here, and," he pulled out a hologram of one of the bases, "we can much more easily sneak through." The base had two narrow passageways on opposite ends, with a much larger more circular base of operations in the center. "Both bases share the same construction, with minor differences in the middle sections. Base A, which is where we're located, has both a prison in the upper floors, and science labs underneath. I'll let you all guess why that might be.

Base B has various testing facilities for weaponry, battle simulations, and engineering. Both bases are shared amongst the Sith and their allies, but I have yet to find out who exactly runs them. I do know, however, that their name is 'The Major,' and he also works for whoever has created this alliance between these villainous filth. Now, the areas around the bases, where the hangers and docking ports are, they seem to be separate from the main bases themselves, which makes me believe they can actually be dislodged from the asteroid field and become orbital by themselves. As best as I've been able to figure out from the layout, engines would have to be somewhere in the lower sections of the base, along with life support systems, while the rings at the top provide gravitational simulation. I believe if we could dislodge the bases from the asteroid, we could perhaps send it on a collision course with the moon's surface, but..."

Bram sighed as he rubbed his hand along his chin, "That would mean taking control of the command deck so we could send it along that course, then sabotage the engines so they couldn't course correct. Yet, that also gives us a small window of escape." It wasn't perfect by any means, and he knew that. "But, this place... Those that run this place, the experiments within it, nothing must escape it. I know it's risky, and I know I've put you into the fire, but now is the only time we can defeat an enemy that threatens not just our home, but yours as well," He said to Markah first, then the others. "They're all together here, and in one strike, we can stop them before they've even made their first move."

"No, wait!" He shouted out to her, but it was too late. She ran off to try and save everyone, but instead descended down to the unknown depts of this pit. The prisoners panicked even more as the floor continued to shorten, and their struggle became more violent. People were pushing, shoving, trampling over each other, even trying to climb atop one another to make a go at climbing the walls, even though there was nothing to grab onto. It was either take a dive and see what happened, or end up getting stomped and crushed by these other prisoners. Taking a moment, he took option A, running off the side, crossing his arms and legs together, and dove into the darkness to follow Pidge.

The screams and pleas of the prisoners began to go quieter as they all fell into the pit, and when the floor was gone, it slowly retracted back together once they were all fallen into the darkness.

But what was down there?

---------------------------------------------------------

Well, nothing good. As these two would soon find out.

Sucked into a jet of water flowing through a narrow cave, two brothers were washed away by it. They had no idea how they ended up there, all they knew was they couldn't breath. Or, at least, one couldn't. It was like going down a steep waterslide, as the crushing weight would try to crumple them up into a ball by the speed at which they fell. It would last only last a few minutes, thankfully, sucking them out into an open area of water they could swim in.

There was a large pocket of air at the top by around two-three feet, making it easy to gain breath again. but, the clouds forming from the jets of water from the holes in the cave obscured the bottom into a heavy fog, making it impossible to see how far and wide this place was. The sharks, however, were swimming near the top, and were easy to see. Along with what looked like several shadows of men in prisoner uniforms swimming as fast a possibly away from the light at the end of the cave.

His first real awareness was the sound of metal scraping harshly against stone.
It took a few seconds for him to realize that metal scraping was HIM.
"UH!" a loud exclamation escapes from the relatively massive suit of armor. It's dark, he can't see. But he knows he is going down a stone tube, and he is surrounded by water. "Brother!" He exclaims loudly as he tries to adjust himself to see the passage he is falling a bit better. But he's getting knocked around so much, he just can't manage to get a glimpse of anything useful. Little grunts are heard as he now draws his arms and legs in, his body being bounced along the sides of the walls. It's a narrow passage, and he has some size to him, so there isn't much leeway.

This only lasts for another minute or so, and then he is in freefall. He doesn't cry out or panic, he keeps himself calmed as he falls. Glowing red eyes are able to see enough below him… he's able to hear enough to know they are heading to water. He quickly reaches down as his body turns in the air and he tightens the latches along his chestplate and his hips. His eyes flick back towards the water as he makes contact with a spectacular splash.

He was able to tighten the bindings of his armor enough to make it as airtight as possible… but it's impossible for it to be totally airtight. As it is, he is able to float but only barely. The bulk of his body is under the water by a foot or so, held up by the air inside of the armor. His legs and arms move in a swimming motion, and he eases up towards the surface just a little. But he isn't buoyant enough to remain there. He continues to sink a few feet, and then fights to get back up. He can't keep this up. Alphonse knows his body is slowly filling with water, his precaution has only bought himself a little time. He calls out once more, his voice clear but even more muffled thanks to the water. "Brother!" He calls out, and he then sees the 'prisoners'…. and the sharks. He hopes the sharks keep their distance. He can't do anything as yet, so he looks for Edward, for his big brother. And he knows he has to help him, he won't have as 'easy' a time as he just did…

Now, the areas around the bases, where the hangers and docking ports are, they seem to be separate from the main bases themselves, which makes me believe they can actually be dislodged from the asteroid field and become stations. As best as I've been able to figure out from the layout, engines would have to be somewhere in the lower sections of the base, along with life support systems, while the rings at the top provide gravitational simulation. If we could somehow cripple all three, and dislodge the bases from the asteroid, we could perhaps send it on a collision course with the moon's surface." It would just depend on how the team would go about it.

It would last only last a few minutes, thankfully, sucking them out into an open area of water they could swim in.

b23eb9128777c567b71af40087630ac9.jpg

There was a large pocket of air at the top by around two-three feet, making it easy to gain breath again. but, the clouds forming from the jets of water from the holes in the cave obscured the bottom into a heavy fog, making it impossible to see how far and wide this place was. The sharks, however, were swimming near the top, and were easy to see. Along with what looked like several shadows of men in prisoner uniforms swimming as fast a possibly away from the light at the end of the cave.

Making a plan

Terry turned off the cloaking on the suit as the Jedi explained the layout of the ship, trust having been placed in the stranger now that the room wasn't being swarmed with guards and that a map of the place had been pulled up in the form of a hologram.

Terry looking in thought as he examined the hologram, trying to think of what Bruce's teachings would have in store for this. The young man suddenly had an epiphany. "I think some of us should secure the life support section first, if they catch wind of us and if the area isn't too important, they'll shut down life support and let us croak without lifting a finger." He said, pointing towards the hologram where their host had pointed out.

"I can go with said group to do so, but we gotta do it quietly or ensure they can't call the alarm cause then whoever goes there will have to hold out as they'll focus everything to retake that area."

Tokui Uchiha

It was a calm and silent evening in an undisclosed forest somewhere within the Land of Fire. Tokui had finished a surveillance mission and was on his way back to one of the Raitonbo bases. It was very off in the woods, so even after taking a ride to the nearest town, he still had to travel by foot a few hours.

Tokui was about two thirds of the way there, when a blinding flash enveloped him. An enemy!? Unlikely, he made sure not to be followed, and was the only human nearby. Then what happened? That question replayed in his head again, as he was suddenly on a stream of water. Tokui activated his sharingan to try and see what was around him. An underground tunnel sounded like the most accurate answer. He kept his cool, and simply curled up to cover his vitals in case of a sharp turn, and waited to see where he would be taken.

It took more than he would've preferred, but the tunnel took him to an underground cave, with a slight release of chakra, he propelled himself to the surface, where he planted his palm on the roof of the cave to effortlessly stick to the surface. Taking a breath as he used his ocular jutsu to try and see beyond the foggy waters and the light. He was quick to notice the normally visible things, but sharks weren't a threat, and something about those uniforms put him off. His attention was drawn to the armored man, or rather, the chakra infused armor? What? Regardless, it seemed to be struggling to stay afloat, and it was also looking for someone. Tokui's righteousness snapped him into action. Skillfully using another burst of chakra to slide with his head above water, he covered the short distance between them. "Here, take my hand!" while, his visor covered his eyes, the visible parts of his face didn't show a trace of confusion, looking rather determined instead. Tokui would lift the empty armor above water level if his hand was taken, while also keeping an eye for another armor this one could call "brother".

And he knows he has to help him, he won't have as 'easy' a time as he just did…
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Was the screams of a man falling through a rocky tube of water, only with more gurgling as the water was filling his mouth. He could faintly see his metal brother just below him in the tube, and just about hear his muffled shouting through all the noise, and once he was shot out into the open water, was quick to swim up to the ceiling to get air; gasping loudly once he finally reached it. "AL!" He shouted out, looking around for his brother. The suit was managing to bobble above the water like a float, but he could see the water flooding through the holes between where the arms connect to the armor. "Al!" He shout again before swimming over, "Hold on!" Then Tokui jumped out the water between them.

"AHH!" Ed shouted yet again, entirely baffled by this guy crouching on water. ON WATER! "How the-- YOU MIND TELLING US WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?!"

Ed was a bit on edge.

In the waters the three struggle within, are sharks of different species. On their home world they are one of the oldest predator species to exist, even if their brains are nowhere near intelligent enough to comprehend any difference between this place and the waters of their birth. They only know the electric signs of live prey flailing for air at the surface.

They circle slowly. It is a small meal, that they know. Every shark eyes each other with their beady black eyes. Only the fastest of them could hope to get to this prey fast enough to eat most of it and escape.

The man with the Sharingan might be able to look down into the waters and see this school of sharks circling. A dozen in total. They circle and close in to a tighter circle with each minute to pass.

This hungry school scatters suddenly.

From the deep darkness, comes a creature made not by nature, but the madness of human intellect. It reaches up toward the trio with tentacles first to entrap the fleshy ones for it's incoming maw of teeth.

They are in the reach of….

Alphonse heard a voice, an unfamiliar voice. Glowing red eyes look in the direction of Tokui, and he sees the man stepping upon the surface of the water itself. It's no Alchemy he recognizes… there was no transmutation effect within the water, Alphonse would have spotted that easy. Transmuting the surface of the water into more of a solid is relatively child's play, and would explain why whatever was being stood on was invisible. But no… Al doesn't think it's Alchemy at all. However he is doing it, Tokui becomes the good samaritan to trustful Alphonse.

The suit's hand shoots up out of the water and grasps the smaller hand of Tokui, and he is promptly lifted up as Al gasps softly. His eyes move towards Tokui's feet, curious about how he is being held above that surface. Water trickles out of the hip joints and limbs of the armor as he is held up above the surface, but he knows he isn't out of danger yet. More than that… Ed isn't safe yet. The voice of a child, muffled and with a faint echo to it. "Thank you, sir!" He always tries to be polite. And it is almost immediately after that he notices Ed. The red eyes of the suit seem to glow a bit more brighter for a moment as he calls out. "Brother!" Al gives Tokui a glance, and still grasping his hand he reaches out with his other. A large hand grasps Edward by the collar of his jacket and seeming effortlessly pulls Ed out of the water a bit more. "Brother please calm down, he's helping…. us…" his voice trails off as now he would notice the movement in the water around them. Sharks… perhaps white sharks? He can't see the dorsal fin terribly clearly, but it's not good whatever species they are. He looks back to Tokui as Ed is hefted closer to his armored form. "If they get closer, please make sure Ed is safe. Oh… I'm Alphonse, and this is my brother Edward. Thank you for helping, sir." He says hoisting Ed up a little more. He always tries to be polite.

Then he looks back out towards the shark, wholly ready to take them all on. There isn't a species of shark alive (on his world) that could penetrate his armor, so it's most logical for him to take them on if need be. Even if it means sinking. But that whole line of thought is set aside as the sharks scatter. His eyes scan left to right, seeing no disturbance at the surface of the water. What could make a school of sharks abandon what he assumes was going to be a meal for them?

Oh, that.

Alphonse lets out a surprised scream, just as those tentacles emerge from the water. They are closing in on Tokui and Edward, perhaps wanting to make a meal of them or just drown them. Weird behavior for a squid. If only it was just a giant squid. He pulls his hand free from Tokui and simply punches the nearest tentacle to him, and falling back in the water as he releases Ed. He does his best to help Edward get closer to Tokui by giving him a little toss as he falls.

So Alphonse sees the tentacles around them… meaning it's logical that the main body of this squid is just below them. Without hesitation he reaches down with both hands, his body already sinking once more as bubbles come up from between the plates of his armor. Of his body. He pulls loose the straps securing his chest plate and his shoulders, allowing water to rush into his body faster. If he could cry, he would at this moment. As with his body filling with water, most everything he is carrying would now be ruined. But he can't cry, he can only sink at this moment. And sink he does, looking down into the darkness and ready to grab the squid as soon as he can see it. He disappears under the surface of the water, one of his fists drawn back as he angles himself downwards…

"Al, I'll be fine!" Ed yelled at him, as he struggled to swim over to his brother to latch onto him. His arm and leg were about as heavy as rocks, and kicking with his flesh hand and leg was only tiring him out, so with the help of the weird spider-ninja-man, he and Al floated together as he held them above water from the ceiling. "I'm not gonna have you sink to an endless abyss of water!" Sharks were docile as long as there wasn't blood in the water... or hungry... And yeah, they were circling closer as the minutes passed. In fact, too close for Ed's comfort, but he could at least kinda float. Ed was an empty suit. If he sank, that was problems for both of them, and he sure as hell wasn't gonna allow that.

"Yeah, thanks. And who might you beYAHHHH!!" And down Ed went, as a tentacle wrapped around his leg and pulled him under while he was focused on ninja boy above them. His screams turned to gargling as he was pulled down further into the depths of the cave by a massive sharktopus, which, needless to say, was FUCKING TERRIFYING. The Older Elric's eyes went wide from the fear and panic, quickly forming a blade from his automail arm to cut at the tentacle around his ankle to free himself.

Tokui Uchiha

Tokui raised an eyebrow upon hearing the voice of the chakra infused armor, it sounded very much like a child was restrained in a metal container. This thing had somewhat unsettling glowing red eyes, but acted polite and trustful. Just what is he? Tokui hears him calling yet again for his brother, who floated to the surface, and was a normal teen, mostly. He had mechanical parts, which were becoming popular these days. What struck Tokui the most about this young man was his outfit, it was like nothing he had seen in all of his travels.

This new person loudly asked about their current situation, to which Tokui bluntly replied "I'm at a loss as much as you two" they seemed like good folks, but given the entire situation that brought him here, he had doubts about pretty much everything. Having noticed the sharks himself for a while now, he understood Alphonse's concern. "I think we'd all benefit if we figure out a way to leave this cave together, Alphonse, Edward" Strange names too, just who are these two?

He would've tried to continue, but the tentacles from the beast that scared the normal sharks off took the other two out. Tokui considered putting more effort into his grip, but he'd have to face off against that thing eventually to get out of here, so he allowed himself to be dragged down by the aberration momentarily. In a flash, he pulled out a kunai and slashed at the tentacle on his leg, in an attempt to sever it. Now he was down to two options. First, he attempted to make eye contact with the creature to attempt to entrap it in a genjutsu, effectively hypnotizing it into calming down and leaving them be. That option, while it had a chance of success, it wasn't a certainty. The moment Tokui saw his genjutsu wasn't successful, he would make a blur of hand signs "Ranton: Heavenly Stakes!" he would think as multiple needles of energy would shower the monstrosity attempting to eat them.
