What passing-bells for these who die as cattle?

Only the monstrous anger of the guns.
Only the stuttering rifles' rapid rattle
Can patter out their hasty orisons.
No mockeries now for them; no prayers nor bells;
Nor any voice of mourning save the choirs,
The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells;
And bugles calling for them from sad shires.
What candles may be held to speed them all?
Not in the hands of boys but in their eyes
Shall shine the holy glimmers of goodbyes.
The pallor of girls' brows shall be their pall;
Their flowers the tenderness of patient minds,
And each slow dusk a drawing-down of blinds.

'Anthem for Doomed Youth'
In one second, you are in your home world, doing something of great importance, minding your own business, or relaxing in a place you find comfort in. Then, before you could blink, something flashed before your eyes. A bight neon green blinds you, like a camera flash suddenly went off in front of your eyes. Suddenly, your body feels like it's falling. Gravity pulls your left, right and center, spinning you all around as the ground beneath your feet disappear, as if you jumped out a plane, and now gravity was sending you back down to the ground below, with the wind and speed of your falling hitting your face.

As quickly as it began, your feet hit the ground as if you simply jumped only a few inches off it, or perhaps you landed another way, on your face, back, you did feel like you were falling from a greta height, so maybe you feel nauseous from such an experience, if you've never fallen like that before. You'd only have a scuff or two on your body from the fall if you didn't land on your feet, no bruises or broken bones. You simply fell, with that lights blinding effect still wavering as your eyes adjust. However, the scenery has changed drastically. Wind is blowing at your face incredibly hard, and it's a chilling one, like being on the beach shore during winter time. It's feels freezing from it. Around you are broken down and old desks with tech like printers, computers, phones, and message signs; some fallen on the ground in broken husks, others still standing on the walls, even with the breeze. This was an office, for a stock market exchange.

The windows are all broken, shattered glass along the floor, and outside, you see how far from home you truly are. It's a city, with skyscrapers all around, but to the south, the city was completely flooded by the ocean, and to both the east and west sides, the city sunk and rose in massive sections of land.

You could see the corpses of what looked to be massive monstrous creatures, rotting away as their massive bones began to show, as well large mechs just as much the size of them. While some fires still burned in the buildings in the distance, this battle, or battles, had taken place years ago, just some scars were newer than the rest. Whatever this world was, it had seen brutality, and was yet to heal from it. But how did you arrive to it?

(The following is various replies from Yoru, Lil_kreen, Len, Snowtwo, Wiggin, & Agent Puncake.)

Sonic
Sonic was running in Green Hill Zone, his favorite spot. Well what was there to not like here. Green and luscious grass, waterfall falling in the ocean all around, but far enough not to drown those walking here with the noise of kiloliters of water falling from several hundred feet. And the light was glittering on the surface of the sea. Truly a beautiful place. Plus, with loops, springs and accelerators, running here was never boring! Well was was certainly the word.

He didn't know how, but somehow eggman had managed to steal all the water there, transforming this place into a dusty desert. Sand was everywhere it was hell to run through and the few patches of grass were cracking under his shoes. This place was a mess, it would take some time before Green Hill would be back to what it was. If it ever would revert.

-Eggman definitely knows how to make a mess. Geez this dust is everywhere!

Well it was time to go to another of his favorites places, here is to hoping that it won't get as corrupted. Suddenly a flash of green light appeared in front of him and he felt like falling. Well it wasn't the first time that he was transported to another place. But instead of floating he was falling, falling and falling again. And this green light was so bright, it was blinding him.

He didn't know how long it took. But man was he bored. But when it ended, it ended. The Moebian fell face first on some sort of rug like floor.

The first thing he felt, except the not welcoming ground, was a cold gust of wind. Standing up he could see that he was in some kind of office with broken screens, computers, phones all around and shattered windows. Well why were there so much screens anyway?

A little dizzy because of the light show, the blue hedgehog walked untill he reached one of the windows. What he saw was... well not something that he didn't see before. The city was submerged as if Chaos was doing another temper tantrum! Well he didn't hear him screaming. But at the same time he could see that east and west side, and this looked like the post apocalyptic city he was in when meeting his past self. Gigantic rocks were jutting out bulding and all from the ground as if someone tore into the city and cut it like a gigantic cake before piling some pieces lego style. Monsters carcasses were rotting here and there. Some robots as gigantic as the death egg robot were lying here too.

-I knew this egghead was implied somehow!

Well he was feeling better already, if he couldn't go South, East or West, it seemed like North was the way to go. Time to jump through the window.

-Now where the hell am I?

Or not, a human boy wearing red was looking around him completely lost. Yeah adventure would have to wait, first he would have to put the guy out of harm's way.

-Hey buddy you're okay?

Ranma

There was only a place that Ranma could be found when he wanted to relax. No, not under the bridge in Nerima, this one was for when he was faced with a challenge that he would feel that his strength alone might not be enough. And no it wasn't a place he was hiding in when he was hurt. Men cannot be hurt by mere word and they don't hide like cowards. So yeah the bridge was a strategic place. But he didn't need any strategy. In fact life was getting quieter.

Even Akane temper was getting a little more under control. She was offering him a little bit more room before the pervert basher came into play. This kawaikune, built like a brick with a maniac streak how could she be so uncute. And after one of their crazy adventure, he would try to say something nice and she would smile, making his heart miss a beat or two. And then just like now, he would be thinking on the roof of the tendo house. Relaxing and memorizing her smile. Memorizing how close he was to lose her in Jusendo. And she would climb here, she always did, and they would talk. Just talking, no insult, and with luck no wandering martial artist would scream "Ranma prepare to die!", no crazy gymnast would try and drug him stupid, no new fiancee would knock at his door, no crazy challenger turned rival/unrequited love. Just calm talking and then he would be so lost, that he would blurt out another insult. And she would get mad. This was Nerima! Some meteorologist could predict the weather based on how high he would be sent flying.

So when a bright flash of green light appeared in front of him, he wasn't half surprised. He looked at the sky and muttered.

-Why do you hate me so much?

And then he was falling, falling in the bright eye stabbing green, green everywhere, if he wasn't falling he wouldn't be able to say where was the up and down. Well looks like he was transported somewhere, was it the old leech, the ghoul, pale boy, the duck, another rival, another fiancee? Well whoever it was, there would be hell to pay once he would get his hand on them.

Then he felt air again and righted himself before landing. Well he wasn't in the tendo dojo no more. Looks like he was in some sort of office with really complicated thingamajing and flat screens. Weren't screens supposed to be like big.

Taking a page from the Eternal Lost Boy book, Ranma said the only thing that came in mind.

-Now where the hell am I?

-Hey buddy you're okay?

A blue creature with spikes was walking toward him. Couldn't say that it was naked, it was wearing gloves and running shoes. Ok this was a demon of some sort. Ranma took a casual stance.

-So you here to challenge me? Be careful Spiky, Ranma Saotome never loses.

“Thank you and farewell.” With a bow and a smile the blue-haired man turned and began his trek back to Hoshido. He had left a couple days ago to escort the merchant that hired him to this village. With his job done and his payment given in full he could return, get some decent rest and a meal before doing it all again when he is hired once more. For now though he had to make it back. He had a fairly easy trip this time so he was hopeful the return would go just as smooth.

Unfortunately luck did not appear to be on his side when he was blinded by a green light and the ground seemingly crumbled beneath his feet. He gasped in shock, unable to see what was going on. His first guess was an assassin, but who even cared enough to kill him he did not know. It was frustrating enough that he seemed to have quite literally fallen into a trap too.

When he landed he fell back on his rear with a small grunt. “Ow…” He grumbled to himself. Luer felt a chill before he could do anything else and it caused a violent shiver. “What the hell??” He questioned to himself before pushing off the floor to stand up. It took less than a moment for the archer to take note he was definitely not home anymore. “What the hell…” He repeated in some awe but mostly shock. He had no idea where he was right now but this… this could not be real.

He shivered again until voices echoed in the air. He armed himself with his bow and an arrow, seeking out the source slowly and as quietly as he possibly could. When he located the source, he saw a boy and some sort of creature. He at first thought the kid was talking to himself with weird voices but it became rather apparent he was not. Seriously, what the hell is going on here?

Luer opted to take cover and just listen in, hoping he could get some sort of information from it. It was apparent he needed to be wary of the boy, he seemed quick to start a fight and if it could be avoided, Luer did not want to fight until he knew what was going on here.

Deep in slumber upon the grass the Spriggan slept on a grave waiting for sunrise. New to rise just yesterday from the crater her birth-tree once stood within now just Dragur riled by the detonation. Thereafter the initial moments of anger led to swordplay then to a bow and arrows. While her injuries weren't lethal they were extensive and pale lime cuts still hadn't barked over yet. A peaceful sunrise not to be the Spriggan's eyes open then turn to sluggish flailing as she falls through the bright green light. Skyrim nights a bitter cold so far north, her sap slow, thus could not dodge a piece of broken conduit. Obscenities in Nord and creative uses of Dovahzul precede loud woody crack as the conduit spears her shoulder and certainly after. As she hits the carpet with a thud angry noises of the hollow bark and claw female turn to ones of concern. Aware with a rapid flailing of the flower strands serving as her hair turning side to side that the pipe neither a spear nor was she in the cemetery.

The halfalogue of the hollow stare and toothless mouth apparent if one spoke Nord, "No, we are not attacked. I don't know! I hurt! We do not think it is a weapon, Sir. I have to get up, Private! Shhh! Nnnn, I have to focus. Quiet! SHH!"

She wasn't in a position to see the others and rather too preoccupied by climbing up the pole she was impaled upon to care. A bright green streak left behind her on the rusty steel pole as wood and bone scraped with every arm-length. The six foot tube pulls free with a twang from the bend scattering an arc of sap at the room. Undaunted by the damage she stood up to turn for her sword. The cold sun streaming through the hole and the rippling portal space within her absent stomach. Thin roots emerge among exposed bone and gleaming lime flesh as the wound starts to seal. Spying a small bucket of some long-dead plant she shoulders her sword and breaks it off at the base.

A concerned if scratchy voice lost in some foreign memory looked at the poor soil in a small container, "It's all I have. It might not be safe outside. There's nothing in here. We know, but we are hurt, it's just the ship needs to stay in port for a while Captain. The sea isn't going anywhere."

Long tendrils of root-bound feet step into the plant pot as she squats facing a desk. The sword placed on the desk in front of her.

The fresh breeze, heavy with the scent of the blooming flowers of spring, filled the air as Alistia sat upon the bench outside of her new pond; both recent installations in her home. It had taken her quite a while to build both but, at last, she had done it. Her home was a small building out in the residential area of Gridania, overlooking the beautiful glades of the Twelveswoods, with happy citizens below going about their daily lives. It had taken her years to save up the funds to buy the home, saving the world didn't pay as much as one would think, but she had done it on her own and then set to work enhancing it and, at last, the outside yard had it's own pond, bench, and several trees lining the edges. A lovely wonder to be certain.

Alistia Mit'Leona was a lovely young Miqo'te woman. Similar to most Hyur, what those in the outside world would call 'human', she was almost entirely the same except for a few key differences. Firstly was the long, slender, cats tail coming out of her backside, gently swaying back and forth in the warm air. Secondly was the cute set of cats ears upon her head that gently twitched in the breeze, replacing the ears of most humans. Thirdly were her eyes, locking in a state of eternal wideness to let in as much light as possible. It was not ideal in such daylight hours and she could feel the strain upon them but she was long-since used to it. Her 'tribal' cousins wouldn't have bothered with such a thing and stayed within the Twelveswoods, hunting mainly at night when such a trait would be useful. She was, however, 'civilized' for a Miqo'te and, thusly, had to abide by the day-light hours that all other races did. Not that she minded. It was just part of light.

She wasn't a normal Miqo'te however. Dressed in a dress of pure white with red triangles hemming the edges, a staff with a marbled head upon her back, and the intricate band across her head, all designated her as being a White Mage. A healer in tune with nature. As she sat down and rested in the sun she let her mind, her will, wander into the earth just a bit. Feeling the relaxed pond-watered, the pulse of life in the trees, and everything that came with it. One would not think such a woman anything more than a mere kindly healer. A person whom couldn't hurt a fly even if they sat on it.

They would be sorely wrong. Alistia was no mere mortal. She was the Warrior of Light. A being chosen by Hydaelyn herself to act as her champion within the world. Driving back the false gods and bringing peace to the lands of Eorzea. She not only had killed before, she had flat-out ended wars, started and successfully won revolutions, fought false gods too many times to count, and had won. Not merely fleeing but winning. She was nice, she was kind, she was peaceful... And she was unquestionably powerful.

And then, with a flash of green light, that was gone. Alistia was high up in the air, her dress flying upwards in the breeze. Her mind panicked as she tried to make sense of what the hell just happened as she did her best to right herself and immediately was reminded how unfortunate it was to not have pants being part of the White Mage's outfit. Not that the fall scared her as her mind caught up with everything. She had fallen from great heights before and survived. But falling from a great height when she had no expectation of doing so... that was different entirely. Yet, as her boots touched the ground, her dress thankfully returning down to it's normal, covering, state, and her landing without much in the way of injury, her mind was doing it's best to make sense of everything.

She was in a ruined city. She didn't recognize the culture one bit but it wasn't hard to figure out what had been going on within.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" she called out as she stood upwards, hoping for a reply. "What just happened? Where am I?"

Then, she raised her staff upwards, getting ready to see if she could contact the planet and figure out just what the heck was going on!

Trigger
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The smell of rusted metal and dried up blood was all too familiar to Trigger. In a dark alleyway, he faced down the barrel of a gun held up by a man in a red raincoat and ripped jeans. This wasn’t the first time Trigger had done this before. Sure, Trigger killed many superhumans and criminals, but this one was harder than the rest. Trigger had been chasing him down for weeks, trying to bring justice upon this murderer, but at every last moment, he had fallen out of his grasp. A showdown in a dark alley might be the best time to take down this red menace.

A gunshot rang off in the alley, immediately followed by another. The silence that followed was so deafening that the sound of the rain that fell down was drowned out. It wasn’t like either of them had missed their shots, it was that one had a better advantage. The man in the raincoat slumped down onto the hard asphalt, a hole in his chest. Trigger had teleported behind him, shooting him in the back. He went to make sure that the man was dead before continuing, so he aimed the gun at his head and shot once more. A flash immediately hit Trigger when he shot. Could this be the man’s ability? Trigger felt like he had tripped and started falling. He braced to catch himself, but instead, he was softly landed with his feet on the ground.

Trigger was now in a new place, destroyed from some type of calamity or monster. The building he was in was decaying from time, and dust softy fell from the roof onto his head. This wasn’t his home. The city before Trigger was Raised and flooded in certain areas as if the earth’s crust had been lifted up and pushed down by something. A gigantic monster laid down in the middle of the city. Part of its face was decomposing, revealing a disgusting inner skeleton. Buildings covered the dead creature, burying it in concrete. where was he?

Trigger heard a voice behind him and immediately aimed his gun in that general direction as he turned. The interior of the building was in just about the same condition as the city. Desks with old computers sat on their sides, some were ripped in half and overturned while others seemed to have been untouched. There was a hole in the upper floor, revealing the room above along with the slab of concrete that had fallen. Dust was accumulated on almost every surface and cobwebs stretched down from some parts of the building. The woman in front of him was a sight to behold. Trigger had never encountered someone with cat ears before. Her attire was strange as if she had jumped straight out of a fantasy novel. Was she a victim like him or an accomplice to the man in the red coat? She didn’t seem very criminal, so he assumed that she was another mutated lady, driven crazy by her mutation. At the moment she was turned away from him, looking farther into the decayed structure searched for other people. “Hey cat lady!” he shouted. Trigger tended to give people some type of nickname, as to try and remember them by. “Put down the stick and tell me what just happened to me!” He said, still keeping his gun up just in case.

"This is Guardian ship KP-four-one-six on Tower approach." Anta's voice was measured and practiced, as if she'd done this a thousand times - which she might have. "Please confirm transmat area clearance."

"KP-four-one-six, you are cleared for landing." The voice coming in from the other end of the transmission was tired and bored, in comparison. "Back from another day of glorious combat in the Crucible?"

"Not quite, actually." The Ghost replied. "We-"

"We went on a highly classified mission. Vanguard clearance." The pilot, Kingpin-22, interjected. The Exo Titan sat in the pilot's seat, red eyes unblinking. "I don't think-"

"What he meant was we're just back for a while, then we're off again. Just checking in with some people." If a Ghost could glare, Anta was definitely doing it. "Anyway, we're getting there. Landing..."

She was cut off as green light enveloped the ship, which began to shake violently. "Guardian! Guardian, wave off!" She cried. Kingpin, however, was already wrestling with the controls. The altitude meter flicked through the numbers: 4000, 3000, 2000...

Then they were gone.

"KP-four-one-six, hello? Four-one-six, do you read?"

===============================================================================================================================================

The green light abruptly disappeared.

"Did you get a read on that?" Kingpin asked as the ship dove into a mass of clouds.

"No - well, yes. It was very powerful, something insane. I know what you're gonna ask; wasn't Hive magic. The colour was similar, but the energy readings were not. Where are we?"

"The ship must have been damaged. The location and time readings are inconsistent, and going crazy." The Titan said. "But that's the only things broken."

The ship descended through the clouds, and the cockpit was silent.

Below them, a massive metropolis sprawled. A destroyed one, too; buildings have fallen, along with giant mechs and gargantuan, rotting monster corpses. There were occasional fires, but the more prominent features were still the general state of things - destroyed, that is. This was a city baptized with death and destruction.

If this was Earth, it was definitely not their Earth.

Anta stayed uncharacteristically silent as Kingpin held their altitude for a bit. Then, he pushed the joystick forward gently. They began a slow dive.

"Why are we going down there?" His Ghost asked. "We should be leaving this place. Get into orbit, figure out our location, and contact the Vanguard."

"You've seen the navigation instruments, and I am willing to bet your internal positioning system is in disarray as well. The best way we can go about this at this point is to get down there, and find any information pertaining to where we are. Get ready for transmat and possible combat, and to send the ship back to orbit."

Anta didn't complain.

A few minutes later, the ship swooped down from the sky and decelerated next to a medium-height, still standing building. Kingpin transmatted in a glowing matrix of Warmind neurotics effect, and the ship flew off, achieving supersonic speed near instantaneously now that there were no more people onboard. The Titan surveyed the area.

"We're clear."

"No, we're not. Picking up movement on your motion detector."

Kingpin turned, rifle drawn instinctively. However, no matter how hard he tried to see, there were not a single living creature in sight.

"Inside the building. There's a set of stairs we can take, right there." Anta marked a rooftop access door on his HUD.

Kingpin approached cautiously, and pushed the door open as quietly as he could. There was no one where the blips should be. "Below you, I guess?"

It took him about six floors of slow and methodical sweep before he heard someone shout. Something related to a cat? He stepped down another flight of stairs, and there they were... a young man and young woman who does, indeed, possesses cat features.

Gun still raised, Kingpin suddenly found himself in a troubling position. He was used to hot-breaching and blasting away everything that wasn't a human, Exo or Awoken (and the last one was still somewhat debatable) but now, confronted with two people who looks human and are of unknown allegiance... he just stood there, gun trained on both of them, but didn't move, and didn't talk, intent on learning their intentions first.

----------------------------------------------------
Alistia mentally groaned. She had just landed in this world and, due to basically napping in her own front yard just a few seconds before, had not bothered to put up a Protect spell. What was she going to need protection from? Flower petals? And now she had someone shoving a gun in her face and demanding she put down Thyrus. Part of her wanted to tell him to do certain bad things to himself since there would be no way in Hell that she'd put down a freaking holy weapon. Thankfully that was only a tiny part of her mind and easily outweighed by the other 90% of it. Calmly she put Thyrus down as she raised her hands up, showing she was unarmed, as her own mind tried to filter through what had happened.

The most obvious answer was that this was a teleportation spell or piece of technology. After all, though she had a minor aetherite crystal by her door it was impossible to warp between locations without actually touching, willing, and everything else with the crystal and even then it didn't play out anything like this. So teleportation seemed the most likely. However Eorzea simply didn't have any cities that looked like this one even in ruins. Even the Garleans cities had a distinct architecture that this city did not reflect. Hence the next most likely conclusion.

"If I had to guess, I would say we've been teleported into some other dimension." she said simply enough. It seemed like the most logical conclusion all things considered. "I've never seen one like this but I haven't seen that many at all either. Certainly none as big as a city. Though I know they exist. If it's because of magic or technology I haven't the foggiest. Now please, lower the gun. I'm a healer. I don't mean anyone any harm."

A technically true statement. Omitting the fact that she could easily change her class or, even without, probably slam the guy with a chunk of asphalt with ease. Even then she wouldn't MEAN to HARM him so much as protect herself... but that was all technicalities. Right now all she wanted was to not get shot.

"Please, may I pick up Thyrus again? It is a healing staff and very important. I don't feel safe without it." While she was in the White Mage class she mentally added... Not that he needed to know that either. Or that, without it, she was far less effective.

Sonic

What the? When exactly did he mention a challenge? Come to think of it, he was acting like one echidna friend of his. Was he tricked somehow? Well he really didn't have time for this. Post apocalyptic city n' all.

He looked unimpressed with a bit of "dude seriously? "in his expression the same he gave whenever Knucklehead accused him of something he didn't do. Yeah even in another timespace nothing changed

-Yeah right! How about you cool your head down a bit and tell me what happened here.

By his reaction he could tell that he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. But seeing his surprise, it seemed that he wasn't the only one that was carried here by the green light. But for what reasons was he transported here with this human? Were there other? All this thinking was giving him an headache. Darn where was Tails when he needed him. Probably helping with the Rebuilding of Moebius. And then there was a voice. Female it seemed. Well here was the answer to his question.

-Seems like we are not alone here by the way. I am Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog.

-Ranma Saotome, sorry about this. What's the hell going on here?

He shrugged.
-Bite me! But if I had to make a guess, monsters and robots were at it here.

Another voice, male this time, mentionning a cat lady? Blaze! She was from another dimension! Maybe she was also transported here? Well having an ally in a post apocalyptic world would be a great asset.

Except that the human, Ranma, he corrected himself was litterally shaking and looking panicked. Well guess the apocalypse could shake someone who wasn't used to it.

-Alright Ranma you stay here where it's safe.

He was running towards the voice, not at full speed, the ground was littered by glasses, monitors and printers, making the blue hedgehog watch his step, but fast enough to lift all the sheet of papers on the floor and the desk.

He arrived in a room with a cat lady not Blaze in a hands up position, another boy with black sclerae training gun on the girl and a kind of robot training a gun on the two of them, well now the three of them. The girl seemed oblivious to the big baddy and his big riffle. But he didn't seem to fire any round. Somehow... waiting? Well moving the girl out of the boy range and then moving the boy outta the robot range could be delicate. Sonic did what he hated the most... he waited.

After her spiel about teleporting and dimension, the blue blur made himself known for those that couldn't see him.

-Guess we were all transported here, then! Name's Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog.

With both hand extended to show he didn't have any intention of harming anyone, Sonic was walking toward the two human.

______

Ranma

Ranma was analyzing his foe, he was one blue creature with a big head. Legs and arms were ridiculously puny. If he could land him on his head, he wouldn't be able to get-up. Geeze, here he expected a bit of challenge. Yeah but Oni were known for their magic.

-Yeah right! How about you cool your head down a bit and tell me what happened here.

-What da ya mean what happened... NANNI!

The pigtailed martial artist caught a glimpse of the shattered window behind the blue hedgehog and what was behind. He walked toward it to see a disaster that even the Nerima wrecking crew couldn't replicate. No it would take litterally the whole Phenix tribe with their god, the Joketsuzoku and the Musk tribes and even then he wasn't sure they could do something similar. Toppled buildings, sunken parts of the city, dead monsters, robots! This was Nerima time 100!

A girl asking where she was cut him from his thoughts, Akane! Where were the others, if he was carried here, no doubt the other inhabitants of the tendou dojo were here. This was dangerous, and knowing the kawaikune, she would want to show that she was a martial artist too, putting herself in danger.

-Seems like we are not alone here by the way. I am Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog.

-Ranma Saotome, sorry about this. What's the hell going on here?

Seems like this Sonic person was as lost as he was. At least he didn't seem to want and fight him. That was a good point in his book. Now just to make sure he didn't want to marry his girl side or sumthin'.

Then a male voice prononced the terrible word. No this demons were here! With their shiny eyes, glowing in the dark, their claws stripping your flesh apart and their terrible teeth! He had to know where they were hiding. Hiding and waiting before pouncing on him when he would be at his most vulnerable.

Not a purr or a meow. Well maybe he didn't hear correctly, yeah must have said rat lady! He had a hedgehog guy just in front of him. Who just departed after telling him to stay safe! He was a man dammit. Not a weak little girl hiding from danger!

-Damn it! Wait for me!

But the hedgehog was already gone paper falling like leaves where he was before. This guy was probably faster than Lime. Maybe he would have been a challenge after all.

With nothing else to do, he walked in his general direction finding some blue hair and the top of a head emerging for behind one of the desk. He sweatdropped. Here was someone as discreet as Sasuke the retainer of the Kuno household.

-You know I can see you right?

Reactions: always_confused
There were multiple reasons Luer chose to hide rather than confront the two strangers talking. One being that one of the strangers was a little blue… thing, and the other seemed brash enough to want to fight right away. He heard a lot of noise from elsewhere too, and had turned to watch his back, listening to the two talk while making sure nothing snuck up on him from the other noisy mess. He would have to investigate that later.

He blinked in surprise though when something blue zoomed by him rather loudly, confused and a little unsure he was going to take a look back at the two he was listening to when one of them called him out. He took a deep breath. That was the end of that it seems. He stood upright and turned to face the kid that spoke. “It took you this long to catch me, I was not doing that bad.” He mused. Still, it seemed he did not hide quite well enough. A mistake he will have to remedy the next time.

“Apologies, but between the blue talking… thing and your hasteness to assume it wanted a fight first led me to feel it best if I waited for you to calm down.” He offered. He was not spying on them to wait for a moment to strike. He wanted to avoid a fight right now. “Based on your conversation, though… you are as lost as I am…” He muttered somewhat to himself. He had been hoping for some clue as to where he was and what just happened. This place looked nothing like anywhere back home did. Even the frozen tundras of Nohr were not this wasteland.

Luer shook his head of the thought and instead offered a bow. “My name is Luer Lastez. Did… did you see the green light as well…?” He asked. He was not yet sure what that was. Even this kid did not seem to be dressed from any kingdom he could recognize, much less any village- they did not have the luxury to craft clothes like that.

Fitful rest within her improvised soil vehement noise in a nearby room woke the Spriggan. Daylight ignited from within her body as she stood and removed her sword. Pale daylight serving as the stone that casts the faint ripples in her midsection. A transitory place of internment under Sovengarde in connection to a servant that fed it. A few moments of quiet where she heard her own thoughts before others there noticed her. Careful knuckles of thorned fingers rub at the hole full of brambles and wood in her shoulder. Slices regenerated at least barked the sword marks their normal rough and green.

Now attending to her immediate problem she heard shuffling as her voice awoke others, "Where is it? Not home. Everything is still wrong."

Voices pepper her with endless questions in earnest confident that they are not home. Some sure it was a daedric plane and other more measured voices not so sure. All agreed nothing similar seen before as no daedric writing or symbols anywhere. Hollow eyes peered out at papers and desks all foriegn to the last. The voices that were not hers might have answers.

She said what the voices were unable to reach, "Not in Mundus. Not in oblivion? Life is gone. Everything is gone. Soil bucket only has life now because we ignited it."

The voices prodded her on but with the quiet here had enough focus to restrain them. If the soil there was dead soil everywhere might be dead. Sword in its scabbard to one side the Spriggan straddled root-feet on both sides then hefted. Planter in both arms waddled toward the edge of the hole in the next room. Part thud part threaded thumping of rootlet toes scatter dust from rafters below. She bent down where she could see the group from above bent over her planter. The floor creaks with strain but held.

While somewhat aware she should be quiet her raspy voice argued with her voices in the empty building, "Not dwemer. No! Because they're on the wrong side. I can tell. I can tell!"

Hollow eyes squinted at the blue blur muttering her halfalogue, "What is the blue? No, not eating it. It speaks. It may have answers. Maybe. None of them belong."

Trigger
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trigger hated to trust people he thought were crazy, but the woman with cat ears seemed to have a point. She didn’t look like she was totally insane from the way she didn’t immediately attack him as soon as she saw him. The idea of different dimensions, however, he did not believe. To Trigger, the two of them had apparently been teleported to the deadzone, but he had never heard of large creatures or robots dying here. He wasn’t sure what he should do, let her go or keep the gun trained on her. Trigger sighed, this he wasn’t used to getting forcefully teleported like this. “Ugh… fine, pick up your thorus or whatever and let’s get moving” He said after a few seconds of uncomfortable silence. Trigger knew that without someone’s bonded object, then they weren’t confident in their powers. It was a similar situation with him and his butterfly knife. As he turned to leave, a small bundle of blue fur appeared in front of him and introduced itself. “WHAT THE FU-” he started to shout, but it was interrupted by him slipping on some papers on the ground. A solid thud could be heard as his back hit the ground. This was definitely not normal. Maybe he had been hypnotized? No, that couldn’t have been it since the man in a red coat would have needed to make some type of movement. What was going on?
A quick movement got Trigger back onto his feet. He picked up his pistol from the ground and aimed it at sonic. This was definitely not a normal hedgehog. It’s fur made it look almost like a cartoon character and its gigantic eye’s seemed too human. “What the hell are you and who are you!?” he shouted. Trigger rethought the question, realizing the small creature had already introduced itself. “I mean uh… where did you come from and how did you get here?” he said, more calmly this time. This was going to be a long day.

"They didn't notice me." Kingpin said as a third, smaller blue creature appeared at extraordinarily fast speeds.

"Of course not. You're wearing all black and standing still like the rock you are." Anta's voice whispered in his ear, though she was still cloaked. "What's your plan?"

"I... don't know." Kingpin admitted.

They stood in silence and observed - at least, until the explosion rang overhead.

=====================================================================================================================

"Die, you Ticker fuck!" Marcus screamed as he lobbed a flashbang - not exactly lethal, he knows, but he needs time to reload - at the group of Cogwork Orthodox followers and took cover behind the broken desk. The deep, reverberating thud and bright flash was accompanied by pained screams from the men; their senses were in complete disarray, and some even dropped their swords.

"Heretic!" The leader-looking one screamed as he fumbled around on the ground for his own bronze dagger. "You will pay for this! We will reborn you in the body of the Lord, and you will enjoy every-"

His rambling cut off as Marcus peeked and shot him in the throat. Seemed like this part was still human; more blood than oil and WD-40 flowed out of the wound. Another few well-placed shots took out the rest of the gang, and Marcus stood up, dusting himself off. "Already enjoying it, nerds." He muttered. "Now, about that info-"

Someone screamed behind him. Marcus twirled around to find another Orthodox member lunging at him at impossibly fast speeds, arms outstretched and a crazed look in his eyes. Marcus stepped backwards while he fired his gun into the man's center of mass; it was no use. Momentum carried him directly onto Marcus-

And a blinding green light enveloped both of them.

When the light had faded, Marcus was on the ground in a dilapidated building. In the confusion, he had apparently kicked the man across the room; however, the man's chest had split open, and instead of viscera, it was a mass of gears surrounding a single block of plastic explosive.

"Fuck." Marcus raised his gun, noticed the empty chamber, and instead opted to dive back behind a pile of rubble as he saw the red indicator light flash rhythmically. A few seconds later, the Semtex detonated, sending bits of Cogwork Orthodox and bronzed gears everywhere.

Dusting himself off for the second time in half a minute, Marcus began to survey his surroundings. It didn't look like anywhere he recognized, and no one seemed to be around. Where exactly was he?

Alistia smiled as she picked up Thyrus, not bothering to get engaged in a linguistics war at the moment. As she did she could feel the planet reconnecting to her body but, more to the point, secure. Though that got immediately pushed aside as a blue blur, well, more of a beastman, appeared. She looked at him confused for a moment. "It appears to be some sort of giant blue mouse. One that moves at high speeds. A... Soni-chu?" she offered up. Names had never been her thing. But her ears quickly pivoted around to notice that there was yet another person talking, albet at a distance.

"My name is Alistia Mit'Leona and I am a White Mage of Gridania. A healer." she said now with a more formal introduction. She didn't feel the need to speak up or say more at the moment. Especially as an explosion sounded out. "And it sounds like I may be needed now elsewhere." She then looked at Kingpin, her eyes trying to make sure that he wasn't trying to shoot her as well, as she started to make her way towards where the explosion had come from.

"Hello?" she called out at the top of her lungs. "Is anyone hurt? Anyone need healing?" she said louder as she hurried on her way to the center of the explosion. "If so I'm a healer! I can help!"

- Thor Odinson, God of Thunder -

~ The Statesman ~

Standing aboard the Asgardian refugee ship The Statesman, observing space and its many wonders as their ship drifted by, Thor Odinson, in a new dark, capeless outfit and eyepatch and his brother Loki Laufeyson passed the time by with some idle chatter, Thor with his larger arms folded and Loki seeming a little on edge with his hands cupped below the belt.

"Do you really think it's a good idea to go back to Earth?" Loki was the first to speak, breaking the silence with a question that Thor met with a glance and a quaint response. "Yes, of course, the people of Earth are lovely, I'm very popular." He said quickly, as if surprised by Loki's query, who inhaled sharply before speaking out.

"Let me rephrase that...do you really think it's a good idea to bring me back to Earth?" Loki questioned, emphasizing himself this time, internally noting his grievous actions against the populace of Earth when he was last there alongside the Chitauri forces. Thor scoffed a little. "Probably not, to be honest." He then motioned to make an addendum shortly after Loki's amused expression. "I wouldn't worry, brother. I feel like everything's gonna work out fine."

As if the universe had a cruel sense of timing, upon a sudden a bright, neon green light enveloped Thor's vision and soon, the God of Thunder himself felt lifted off the ground, the sounds of Loki calling out in confusion were drowned out as he was swiftly transported away.

------------------------

Emerging from the strange rift, Thor soon found himself upon the roof of a building that already he could tell resembled one from Earth. The Thunder God had landed on his feet just fine, so he very quickly could see that this was not the Earth he knew, for it was scarred, flooded and full of a great deal of large, rotting bodies...Thor felt like he would've remembered such an event occurring when he was there...

"Loki?!" He called out, looking to his left and right frantically, hoping at least a little that his brother had been transported with him, but the God of Mischief was nowhere to be seen, angering Thor, who whipped around to the sound of an explosion in a nearby building, larger than the one he stood upon. "Oh that can't be good." Thor spoke aloud to himself as lightning began to course through his body, his remaining eye completely glowing blue as he ran forward towards the edge of his building, leaping off but instead of falling, Thor took flight at high speeds towards the nearby building, as to burst through the window where he could see a fair few people, rolling into a safe landing and preparing to fight, lightning still sparking and crackling.

"All right! Now one of you tell me where in all of the Nine Realms I am, or so help me, I will make you tell me." Thor threatened, as he was in no mood to jest or even take it easy, for he was in a strange place, far away from the remaining Asgardians and his only living family member, surrounded by tense, peculiar strangers and without a damned clue what was going on.

(Actually just starting with Thor, the others will come in due time.)

Sonic

Well loiks like black eyes boy over here was certainly surprised. Sheesh way to overdo it! As if he never saw one talking blue Hedgehog in his whole life. Well maybe that was the case? At least he didn't hurt himself seeing that he jumped on his feeet and put him on the crosshair of his gun. Yeah he was kinda expecting that. After all he was holding the cat lady hostage with said gun. Well even if he was expecting it, it didn't mean that he had to like it. As for the robot in the background, it didn't move an inch. So he was looking unamused at the boy and his gun. As for the girl, well she did take her staff thingy and trying to guess what he was. Well she took pretty easily the fact to be held at point blank range. Not him. But at least having a gun trained on him he could manage. Plus it was more a case of panic attack, than real threatening wanna kick your ass baddie. So yes teaching him a lesson wasn't the right thing to do. He took a deep breath.

-So-ni-ku. And I'm a Hedgehog. As for where I come from, seeing you don't even know what a hedgehog is... I come from a planet named Moebius. And I've been carried here by a green light. Now how about you lose the gun before hurting someone!

Well it looked like they weren't alone. Because from his position, he could see a plant-like girl or was it a girl-like plant watching them from the hole in the upper floor. Well the fact that she was kinda glowing like a firefly didn't help her being discreet. She was muttering, but her voice was covered by Alistia. Then there was a loud explosion. And before he could act the catgirl healer was running screaming her head off.
Yeah, the time for talking was definitely over. Time to see what was the cause of this explosion!

Except that a giant of a man just decided to say hi by irrupting through the window. And he was glowing the same light he had when dashing except his was white. Ok this guy definitely spelled trouble. He seemed to also be lost. But this one, well if he was not willing to be reasonable... The ancient light was bathing Sonic in its blue tint, readying him to enter into dash mode. He held his arm protectively toward the boy with a gun and Alistia.

-Look! We're not here to fight! We were all carried here... wherever this here is. Just make it easy big guy. There is no need to fight.

There! To see if he would be reasonable. Else the blue blur would have to throw them both outside the window at mach 1. With a sidestep on the right before! This guy was radiating power like a chaos emerald.

____

Ranma

Not doing that bad? Well he wasn't actively searching either. And what was with his clothes? Yeah he probably had to do with another nutcase. But so far he wasn't openly trying to defy him in one of these zany martial arts, that he would best him in. Yeah that would be something along the lines of martial art school of roleplaying, with throwing dices at your opponent, having to fight in character, walking on cards. With a ultimate secret move that would be hell to counter. As for this Sonic guy probably one of mint cousins victim from Jusenkyo.

-I dunno, porcupine or sumthin'. But yeah, saw the green light. Darn last thing I saw before bein' here. Why ya saw it too?

Ranma was a lot of thing. But smart was not one of these. With a flash of understanding, his fist hit his palm. Proof that something connected in his brain. He pointed his finger at the man with blue hair. Loudly exclaiming what he just understood.

-Ya' not one of these weirdos martial artist always tryin' ta challenge me. Ya not from Nerima, ain'tcha!

Well he wasn't in Nerima no more, but being far from the stupid fathers plan, the fiancee brigade and the Nerima Wrecking Crew in general, well he felt lighter suddenly. Putting his hand behind his head he jumped on one of the desks. Well even stranded in a far off place, he wasn't gonna slack on his training.

-Oh yeah! Name's Ranma Saotome, sorry 'bout this. Wanna see where the voices cam from!

Voices were resonnating in the building. They were kinda far. Well he wasn't gonna let no porcupine thingy order him around. He started jogging and jumping from desk to desk, wasn't as narrow as the fence, but the wood was rotten so it was good speed practice. He turned his head in the direction of Luer.

-So where ya comin' from Luer?

Suddenly there was a loud bang. He missed his footing and fell on the floor. Darn it, he wondered if he preferred the loose fence. Nah he could do with a little roughing around. Swearing a bit he hoisted himself up from the floor. Then froze.

A ki similar to Saffron was coming at high speed. He tensed feeling such monstruous energy at one part of the building. There were other ki with one increasing real fast in front of the powerful ki. However it was clearly not on par with the other one but it easily dwarfed Cologne and the old pervert ones. Well change of plan. There were other ki there too, one among them was vast and giving him a shiver. Not helping him in calming down. They had to be moved from the premise! He looked at the blue boy whose ki felt like Herb.

-There is a darn freakin' god here. We gotta evacuate the others immediately!

Michael Bludreihm, Abyss Watcher of Farron's Undead Legion
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lothric Castle. At one time in the past, it had been a mighty fortress and envy of the lands, lined with awe inspiring towers and peaks, with their dragon riding Lothric Knights driving all their enemies before them, crushing any opposition that dared to try to question the rule of Lothric. But now, it had been degraded into a war torn hold, filled with corpses and the Undead Hollows that still lurked in every corner, still attending to their assigned positions even in mindlessness.

Far above the ground level on a heavily fortified bridge leading to the Palace itself, a Hollow crossbowman attempted to snipe the threat coming down it which had slaughtered so many of his brethren in arms, the bolt whizzing forward with a krSNAP of the crossbows string loosing towards the figure. It was not to be, however; the Unkindled one dodged it with contemptuous ease, as he had many before. He then leapt into the air, only to bring the tip of his greatsword straight down through the Hollow's chest as he desperately attempted to reload, stone splintering and breaking as the greatsword stabbed into it with barely any resistance at all from it's sharpness and the momentum of the strike. The fire within the hollow pits the crossbowman called eyes faded, and he was no more.

Michael Bludreihm, the last surviving member of Farron's Undead Legion, removed the Farron Greatsword from the ground and the Hollow with a rough scraping and a wet schliiiick as the undead corpse fell off the blade. Standing to his full height, he eyed the other approaching Hollow, this one taller than the Soldier types and clad in the full plate of a Lothric Knight, a longsword and shield clasped in it's hands as it stalked towards him. It's armor clanked together as it turned it's hollow eyes, filled with a hungry red glow, towards the Watcher, and made to cut him in two with a swift strike of it's blade. Michael waited a few crucial moments for the Hollow to begin it's swing, then rapidly brought his crooked dagger, the staple of the Abyss Watcher fighting style, up into a parry in a blur of motion, a screech of metal on metal ringing throughout the area as the Lothric Knight's blade was suddenly force away mid strike, instantly unbalancing the undead, which Michael capitalized upon with the savage brutality of a starving wolf lashing towards a foe's throat.

The Farron Greatsword was brought smashing into the unprotected side of the Knight with a great force, burying halfway into it's sternum and sending it crashing to it's knees. The greatsword was removed, and with one last snarl, the head of the former Knight was sent flying away, coming a stop some feet away as the main body, bereft of it's main way of functioning, swayed and fell with a great crash and rattling of armor plate. Michael gave a huff of exertion as the Soul of the Knight and crossbowman flowed into him, and looked to the doors of the Palace, his eyes set upon the person that laid beyond.

Prince Lothric, A Lord of Cinder. The last he needed to return to their throne; by force, if necessary. And considering the many Lords of Cinder he had put to rest, he had a feeling Lothric would be no different.
------------------------------------------------------

As soon as the tall Watcher stepped through the threshold to the throne room, the cloaked, kneeling figure shifted it's hooded gaze to Michael. one would believe with the frailty of it's stature and it's thin skin that the man above would be old, but the voice that emanated from it was surprisingly young, the mocking and biting tone of a teen.

"Oh dear," the Prince of Lothric drawled in dry, faux surprise, "Another dogged contender. Welcome, Unkindled One... purloiner of Cinders." He swept his malformed, almost clawed hand down to the Abyss Watcher below, who merely held his Greatsword and dagger steadily and stared at the Prince from underneath the brim of his helm and the collar that surrounded his mouth and face. "Mind you, the Mantle of Lord interests me none..." There was a pause, as the young prince looked down at Michael as if truly looking at him. "An Abyss Watcher? I had thought you and your kin had sequestered themselves away in their Keep."

"They did," He spoke, finally, his baritone voice lightly muffled by the masking collar of his attire. "I had thrown myself to the Flame ahead of my Brothers, and so I did not learn our plight until after they had been slain by my hand." His grip tightened as he growled. "The First Flame. It burnt us to cinders, made the Wolf's Blood dry up, allowed the Farron Woods to turn into a cesspool of a swamp corrupted by the Abyss," he practically hissed, "And in return, nothing." The vehemence in his voice at the mere mention of the First Flame startled the two Princes, the Elder Prince, Lorian, slowly crawling from his spot in the shadowed recess of Lothric's pedestal. "I shall be blunt, Prince; Come with me back to the Firelink Shrine. Surrender your Cinders, and allow me to finish this Age of Fire once and for all, so that the stagnation that afflicts this world of ours to come to an in may finally come to an end."

Silence. The Twin Princes shared hidden glances as Michael stared back up at them. He had no qualms about fighting them to put an end to this, but if they would come along quietly, it would make the process a whole lot easier. Finally, Lothric looked back towards him, raising a clawed hand.

"As much as I would want to put stock in your words, Watcher of the Abyss, I will not. Me and my Brother do not wish to die so soon, either." Michael tightened his grip on his sword. So, it was to be like this, huh? "Regardless, you've done quite enough." Lorian impaled his cracked greatsword into the ground on the balcony, groaning a challenge as an inner flame flared to life within the sword. "Now have your rest."

Michael growled. "Fine... If thou does not wish to come peacefully-" Lorian disappeared in a flash of white light, a teleportation Miracle of some type, and appeared right next to Michael, sword raised high to slam down unto him. The Watcher rolled away as the ground cracked and exploded from the force of Lorian's swing, and then crouched down into a down-guard stance of his own, before charging at the warrior Prince at blinding speed with the intent to impale him. "Then I shall take thy Cinders by force!"

And so, the battle was joined. And soon, another Lord of Cinder was to fall.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
After setting the ashes of Lothric upon the last throne, Michael kneeled at the bonfire in the center of the kiln, the Firekeeper with her freshly given Eyes by his side. With this, he would be able to face the final challenge, and put an end to the stagnation that plagued this world.

"Noble Lords of Cinder," began the fire keeper, the Cinders of the Lords from Aldrich the Devourer, to Ludleth, who crumpled into ash, Lothric, his beloved Abyss Watchers, and Yhorm the Giant suddenly caught fire, their Cinders rising into flame. "The Fire fades... and the Lords go without thrones." The fires slowly began drifting away from their former ashes, causing every candle in the room to be extinguished. "Surrender your Fires... to the true heir." The Firekeeper held out her cupped hands to the gathering Cinders that gently settled within the palms of her hands. she gave a slight smile at the warmth of the flames within her palms, before turning to the bowed Watcher, allowing the ashes from the gently burning cinders to float onto his head. A feeling of power welled within him as the cinders became his own, before he felt himself be whisked away.

"Let him grant death, to the old gods of Lordran, the deliverers of the First Flame."

There was a flash of Green Light. Was it a part of the ritual, or something else, regardless, he felt himself be jerked to side, like some being had pulled him hard to the side, before-

-He opened his eyes, suddenly, and was up just as quickly from his kneeled position, standing to his full height as his eyes observed his surroundings from underneath the brim of his helm. Strange devices and furniture surrounded him. he was in a building, of some sort, and a look out the window showed a scene of a city, with buildings that scrapped the sky and of grey stone and red brick; But it was in ruin, buildings and streets cracked and strewn with debris, both very foreign and slightly familiar to the Abyss Watcher. Was this the Kiln of the First Flame, this decrepit, ruined city? A chilling wind blew across what skin was left exposed to the air, which was very little indeed, before he shivered. No, he could feel it; whatever this city was, it was not the Kiln. tearing his eyes away from the impressive scene of destruction, he looked down at his feet to find his favored weapons sitting side by side, the Farron Greatsword and Dagger. Picking them up, and balancing the edge of the Greatsword across his shoulder, Michael turned around, his tattered cloak flapping in the chilling wind. Being transported suddenly to new places was not new to the Watcher, but at least in Ariandel and the Ringed City he had Bonfires to warp back to the shrine.

First things first was to figure out where he was, and perhaps find someone to give him answers. Then, and only then, would he decide what to do next.

New England, American Empire, 2020

Two women stood before Lavaetain as she stood opposite them in the center of the street. This place had been a bustling city not five minutes ago. Lined from sidewalk to sidewalk with people going about their daily lives. Even in the middle of war civilian life persisted. Now, however... Ice coated the street as the bodies of men, women, and children stood, flash-frozen in voiceless screams. Lavaetain had been far too late. Though it looked like all that was needed was a thaw at first, they were all dead. Their blood was frozen solid.

"Noble opponent Karen." she said, practically choking on the first word but recognizing the importance of the title. "You have kidnapped a citizen of the empire and now slaughtered it's citizens. When I demanded you stand down upon recognizing you, you fled."

"Is that how you respond?" asked the opposing woman, holding the second in her grip as an icy lance formed in her hands, which she raised to the girls throat. "Seriously? Is that how you ****ing respond to me? You imperial scum are all the same! All I wanted, all we wanted, was freedom! Freedom for my people!"

"And your freedom necessitated the slaughter of her?" asked Lavaetain as her blade manifested and she pointed it at a girl who couldn't have been more than ten caught in a terrified run, already with one of her hands having been snapped off by the flash-freezing.

"Or him?" she pointed to a man much closer to Karen whom had been enjoying a cup of noodles when the flash freeze had happened, now eternally stuck mid-slurp.

"Or him?" she pointed to the mans dog waiting patiently by his eating master. Neither had even realized what had happened before they were frozen solid.

"Civilians die in war all the time. It's part of the cost. A fact of reality." responded Karen, pressing the edge of the blade against the girls throat, drawing a drop of blood. "And it's the only way you damned imperials listen! You killed my people all those decades ago without remorse! Conquered our land! You're nothing but invaders! I'm doing nothing but freezing and crushing ants!"

"Noble opponent Karen. The question of the inherent correctness of the deeds of the past is irrelevant. These respectable, beloved, civilians were men and women going about their daily lives. The question of if your ideals are right or wrong no longer matters. Your deeds today would shame those you fight for. Noble opponent Karen."

"Stop it with that fake mannered tone! It ticks me off! Do you think you're somehow better than me because of that ****ing ****? Because you speak with your brown nose in the air like it was your imperial masters ass? Choke on your emperors **** and speak normally!"

"Opponent Karen. I give you one warning. Let your hostage go. Lay down on the ground. And surrender. It is the only way to even consider redeeming your soul."

The woman scowled as she pulled back her spear from her hostage's throat... then thrust it through her backside and into her heart. Lavaetain winced internally, wanted to scream out in a panic, fly into a rage. Even if she hadn't been a citizen of the empire. Even if she had just been some nameless, homeless, woman from some tiny hovel of a nation, Lavaetain still held a soul and that soul cried out in pain.

"Soulless opponent Karen..." started Lavaetain only to instantly have to dart to the side as the lance, woman still impaled upon it, was flung towards her at high speed. Lavaetain dove out of the way, springing off the hood of a car, as the woman's body came to rest leaving a long and bloody smear upon the ground as it traveled. Lavaetain landed on the ground, steam from her flames melting the ice forming, as she raised her hand up to her mouth and breathed inwards only to expel a mighty blast of flame. The flame reached Karen right as the latter slammed her hand down and mighty pillars of ice rose up, Karen atop one of them. Twenty short blades of ice appeared in Karen's hands as she flung them all at Lavaetain. Clumsily, noted the flame user, as they were spread wide. Fifteen of them were easily wasted, coming up short or going wide, leaving only five as a threat. Lavaetain's sword came up and swatted away one, two, three, then the remaining two struck her in the gut and shoulder, shattering upon collision with her clothes. Already she could see the torn fabric start to mend itself as she brought her free hand about, slamming it into the ground.

The asphalt surrounding the icy towers started to broil and turn red as steam ruptured upwards from melting ice. Then six loud explosions rippled through the street, shattering many of the frozen corpses. Normally Lavaetain would have done her best to preserve the bodies for burial. Had she been fighting even a tank she would have known to hold back. But this was a duel between mages. Even a weak one could level a house and it was clear that this Karen was no weakling. Apologies and condolances would need to be given, but ensuring that this psychotic woman didn't escape was the most important thing. Explosions rippled along the ground breaking apart the ice towers. As the one Karen was on shattered she sprung up into the air and raised her hand upwards as ice formed around it, transforming, warping, into the head of an ice dragon.

Karen rolled as she hit the ground and rushed on in close, frozen ice in her wake as she rushed forwards. She raised her left hand, the dragon one, up and thrust it forwards as the head bit and snapped at Lavaetain. Her own blade came up to intercept the maw. "What's wrong hero?" hissed Karen. "I thought you were stronger than this! But I haven't even begun to fight! What could you possi-"

*CRACK*

"ARRRRGGGGGG!" screeched Karen as she stumbled backwards, her right knee bending backwards instead of forwards now as Lavaetain delivered a powerful, directed, kick right to the joint. She sprung upwards as she descended down upon Karen who collapsed to the ground. "But how?" cried out Karen as a shield of ice formed, intercepting the blade. Lavaetain wasn't dissuaded for even a second as her blade heated up and cut into the shield like a hot sword through ice. Karen practically threw herself out of the way, abandoning the shield, as she froze her own knee in solid ice. "I had my barrier up! You went right through my ice clothes you... HOW?!"

"**** you. That's how." replied Lavaetain as she pulled back her arms then flung her sword at Karen. Karen quickly brought up a free hand and formed an ice spear, chucking it at the blade, as she brought up her left hand as the dragon opened it's maw to fire off an ice blast. The blade struck the spear causing both to fall to the ground, the sword dispursing into flame and re-appearing a second later in Lavaetain's hand as the blast struck her full-on. Fire quickly sprung up to her hands as she felt the ice clashing up against her clothes and protective barrier, pressuring it in some places, and cutting through it in others, forcing her to retreat behind the car. Only to quickly come up, practically skating, around the opposite side as she barreled blade-first into Karen.

She struck Karen full-on causing a shock of green light. She must have hit her harder than she thought because, a second later, both were tumbling just a short bit through the air and landing hard on de-iced ground. A whole new street? As the thought raced through Lavaetain's mind Karen pulled back her right hand and backhanded Lavaetain hard enough to cause her to go stumbling backwards. Then ice coated Karen's right hand as a second ice dragon head formed upon it.

"DIE IMPERIAL B****!" screamed Karen as she pointed both at Lavaetain who immediately dropped to the ground, causing both icy blasts to shoot by overhead. Lavaetain thought she was momentarily obscured by the blasts and quickly rolled to the side as she raised her own hand up and took a deep breath to expel another blast of flame.

"Another one?" asked Alistia as Thor spoke up and she stopped. Not wanting to provoke him in the slightest. "You are in a city. Beyond that, I don't know." replied Alistia in a polite, if worried, tone. "I doubt you are in the nine realms just as much as I doubt I'm in the Twelveswoods though. I'm sorry I can't be of more help though; but I simply don't know myself."

It seemed the others were also witness to the light, and of similar circumstances as his. “Yes, I saw it too.” He answered simply, but in a tone of contemplation. What could such a thing mean? That they would both see it, roughly at the same time, and seemingly fall into a completely foreign area. There was no place like this that he knew of nearby, let alone on the continents. It was as if it was a dream, or was not real. It was just too odd.

He rose a brow to the action of the other, seeming a bit confused when he was pointed and then yelled at. He blinked his confusion to the statement before sighing heavily. “I do not want to fight right now, and I have never heard of this ‘Nerima’ you speak of.” He answered, even though he somehow doubted it was an actual question tossed his way.

It seemed true since the kid jumped on one of the rotting wooden structures and began jumping around on them. This kid has way too much energy for his own good… He more or less complained to himself. Nor did it seem Luer made his listening in earlier obvious enough since the younger felt the need to repeat his name in response to the archer’s own introduction. He shook his head. He did not really want to, since it sounded more like chaos than mere voices, but there was a chance they may get some information too.

He began following after the noisy kid, walking normally on the floor as carefully as he could. “Where I came from is of no import.” He answered simply. It was better few knew where he was from, that will not change just because he does not recognize the place. The people here may still know of Retora, and its fall. He did not need that now on top of everything else.

He paused though and gripped his bow as a strange feeling began to rise in him. He glanced to Ranma when he mentioned a god being here. Is that what this feeling is? He never knew gods to visit though. He shook his head to the statement. “Leave if you wish. I am more interested in knowing where we are.” He stated, continuing last Ranma to seek out the source area of all the commotion. It should not be hard, he just had to walk towards that massive flow of energy that honestly made him mildly heavy.

A voice called down below where above faint sunbeams projected on the ceiling. Though at the wrong angle to be from windows all told. The spriggan stood up as Thor entered the accent familiar enough the view more so. An Aedroth? The air concerned her enough it was so empty of life an Aedra showing up meant her duty was dire.

Her rustling voice from a partly glowing head called down to Thor with some joy in it, "I serve, Aedroth! A threat moves we elemental of the aetherius to rise! Mer driven to defend it, Aedroth too?"

Brown-bark clawed hands wrap around the plant pot to heft with ease to bring it with her. In a creak and sag from much-abused flooring she hops forward toward the floor below. Heavy root-bound feet pound furrows into folding table which collapses quite prompt. Dust showing the light streaming from holes in a varied green and barky body. Pot put down it showed a few sprigs of struggling polar grasses in dirt recently bare of all life.

Finger pointed at the metal man the flower hair shakes with enthusiasm, "We are past the realms. I can tell this is a different tree, a different orrery. Not a dwemer construct but it must be of Mer the Aetherius summons defenders."

The glowing oak Spriggan stands up tall and looks outside her cheer impaled, "Can't you feel it? The beast outside. No rot. Fires and fading only at the end of time. This tree is dead and its orrery rusted forever."

A finger at the still thorny hole in her otherwise intact shoulder, "Aetherius shows us the wound."

Michael Bludreihm, Abyss Watcher of Farron’s Undead Legion
———————————————
As he was walking inside the odd building he had found himself in, Michael was looking at the strange furniture that furnished it's insides as he passed. They were beyond anything he had really seen back in Lothric, or any other kingdom for that matter, having mostly hard angles and a utilitarian, hard surface on some that was neither wood nor metal. Out of all the places he had unintentionally visited, this ruined city was shaping up to one of the stranger ones.

Suddenly, his head snapped towards the sounds of a scuffle in the street, keen ears picking up the sounds of displaced air, magic, and a woman screaming "DIE YOU IMPERIAL BITCH!". He had thought he would be alone in this city from how barren and lifeless it seemed to be, but now that was not the case. The Abyss Watcher quickly moved to one of the many blown out windows to find the disturbance, peering from behind one of the buildings walls as he observed the duel with wolfish eyes.

Two women dueled below, one with her leg clearly broken and shooting blasts of ice at her opponent, screaming profanities, while the other seemed to be the opposite, her hair alight with flame yet calm as she dodged her opponent. Michael narrowed his eyes in equal parts pondering and confusion at the blasts of Ice and Fire emanating from the two as they fought. A Sorcerer and a Pyromancer fighting, perhaps? No, he told himself as he looked at their hands, these two were no Sorcerer or Pyromancer. He did not see a Catalyst Staff or a Pyromancy flame in either of their hands, and the Dragon heads made out of ice was no sorcery he had ever heard of. Whoever they were, they were not from his lands.

He sunk back a little into the shadows as the fight continued on. Interrupting their duel was not wise, for they could very easily turn upon him and lead to yet another untimely demise. He would wait this out, and perhaps the victor will be reasonable enough to tell him where he was.

Alken Vaettir and Gaeira Indiana

No no no no no no

Alken floundered and snatched upwards, watching bubbles rise and float away from his mouth and nose. He'd taken a lungful of water, having teleported in on the lower floor of this flooded, strange area. He had been training alone when he was transdimensionally displaced; his first experience on this adventure was being immersed in dirty water.

In full armor. His spaulders, chest-plate, and helmet made him sink like a stone. His shortsword didn't help either.

Not this!!! He frantically tried to unfasten the buckles of his chestplate, but his fingers were always clumsy with small tasks; he couldn't find the leather latches with one hand, and he refused to abandon his sword just yet. What the fuck?! WHY?! I don't want to drown! Not again!

A hand grasped at him. It clumsily snatched at his visor before slipping off, then grabbed hold of the lip of his helm. Alken was hauled above water, taking a desperate gasp of air.

His unit-mate, Gaeira, was treading water powerfully. He'd been practicing as well, his rapier now in his teeth as he tried to find something to stand on. Before he could sink along with Alken, he shoved him forward, letting his feet come to rest on something solid.

"Thanks, Gaeira. Where are we?" Alken gasped and sputtered, hacking up a dollop of tepid fluid.

"Flooded office. The ceiling is high, but the water's so deep that we're inches under it. And the water's steadily rising. Give me a moment to puzzle a way out of th-" Alken clenched his fist and prepared an uppercut, but Gaeira caught his arm. "DON'T. I tried piercing the ceiling; if you smash through it, something might fall on our heads. We need to wait for assistance, or find a way to swim to safety." Gaeira groaned. "There'll be time for brute force later; for now, let me do the thinking."

Dropping his weapon into his hand, Gaeira started thumping on the ceiling rhythmically.

"Morse code, eh? Smart." Alken stood on a ruined pillar, neck deep in water as Gaeira waded in place and pounded out a steady S-O-S signal. "...How fast is the water rising? How long do we have?"

"Slow and steady. Not long. If it gets to our mouths, bust a hole in the ceiling. For now, just wait and gather your strength in case there are enemies around."

"Roger that."

Luer let out a small shiver as he listened to the sounds coming from outside. It was chaos just listening to it, he could only imagine what it was like out there. No… no he could not. Nothing has made sense yet so perhaps it was not within his ability to even imagine the cause of such commotion as this. He did not want to, either, after what he has already seen.

There was a sound that stopped him though; something different than the chaos of booming thunder and yelling voices. A knock. A few of them. He knelt down to the floor before leaning down entirely to listen for it.

…!

There is knocking! He sat up and looked around for a stairway. “There is something under us.” He stated. It was a repetitive sound, there was a pattern to it too. That was not the erratic knocking of a flailing beast or rapid beating of a panicked man. There was something about it that spoke urgent, yet it was a calm one. That was human, and if he had to guess, a trained one. Another Knight?

After a bit of seemingly pacing his stopped over a spot on the floor carefully, close to where it was coming from. He could not get to the source as it was under a pile of rubble. He leaned back down to the floor and knocked three times. If there was a pause in the knocking, he would have no doubt someone was there. “Can you hear me!?” He called, curious to know if there was someone down there.

Fire and ice collided resulting in a steamy explosion as both women quickly split apart, trying to gain some distance from each other. Something was off and that was certain; but right now was not the time for such thoughts for Lavaetain as she jumped up to her feet. On cue Karen's dragon maw bit into what looked like it had once been a parking meter and ripped it out of the ground, taking out a chunk of concrete as well. That was well beyond what most humans, even mages, could reasonably manage but that she was likely getting strength from her transformation was not surprising to the imperial mage. Karen flung it hard at Lavaetain, spinning wide end from end, and went more than wide of it's intended target to hit what might have been a bakery back in the past. Her second dragon head ripped into the ground and tore out a chunk of concrete raising it over head. Lavaetain dropped into a ready position to dart out of the way before Karen's head turned side to side. A wicked grin crossed it before she quickly turned about and lobbed the block of concrete off to the side.

A man was standing in a building window a short distance away. He was wearing some sort of funny hat that Lavaetain could not recognize the origins of beyond maybe a bizzare LARPing group from before the rebellion. Karen had flung the chunk of concrete right at him.

"Respected citizen! Get free of this place!" cried out Lavaetain as she realized exactly what Karen was doing. As quickly as she could manage she rushed forwards as a blast of ice came from the first dragon head, aiming right where Lavaetain would need to stand if she were to block the chunk of concrete. If she could even do that. As the broken leg showed blunt force trauma could bypass a barrier entirely. Not to mention that taking a full-on sidewalk slab to the gut was enough to put down even the strongest of men; let alone one flung from a dragons maw. Then, even if she blocked THAT there was the matter of taking a full on blast from the ice. A choice between saving that man and dying, or letting her splatter and freeze him but surviving to continue the fight.

Too bad there were more options.

Lavaetain's sword whipped about as it was surrounded by flames as she moved her feet carefully, the tip leaving behind a flaming trail in the air as she almost danced. This was no mere dance because, as she moved about, flaming silloettes were left in her wake. Normally she would have waited to let them gain power, become strong enough to withstand a blow, or even do much beyond exist. She didn't need that right now. Instead the flaming cloned rushed forwards as fast as possible, leaving flame in their wake through the air, to slam into the concrete boulder. They didn't stand a chance of surviving it as the boulder smashed into them and the icy breath followed in kind; but they didn't need to as the boulder collided with them, then the ice, and fell to the ground as the bodies dispersed leaving behind a frozen slab of concrete on the ground.

And now Lavaetain was right beside Karen. Her feet slid around Karen, coming up to her backside, as her arms looped around Karen's shoulders. Freezing cold bit through them and it felt like she had just dipped them in an ice bucket. Didn't matter. She gripped the woman firmly then jumped upwards, twisting and turning the startled woman upside down before both women came back down with Lavaetain slamming Karen hard into the ground, upside down, face first. Karen cried out in surprise and pain only to have her opponent lift her upright to her feet then dash towards a nearby wall, fire trailing behind her, as she turned about with her elbow to Karen's back. Karen smashed into the wall, Lavaetain's elbow driving hard into her spine, cracking the surface with ease. Then she reached to grab Karen by the neck and grabbed her before spinning around to whip Karen about to slam hard into the wall, being throttled by Lavaetain as the facade cracked.

"Surrender rebel scum and you will be given the mercy of justice!"

"Imperial justice." hissed back Karen as if the very notion was an insult to the idea of justice. One of the dragon heads shot forth, gripping Lavaetain's midsection in it's maw, before biting down hard. Blood dripped from the fire woman's body as teeth bit into her form but she did not cry out as the dragon flung her backwards, causing her to bounce along the street until she rolled to a stop.

"Surrender... or stop holding back." came Lavaetain's response as she stood upright, only to have to dive out of the way as a pair of icy wings had formed on Karen's back and frozen blood had formed into a small row of draconic teeth and she had barreled right towards Lavaetain at high speed! Yet despite the speed Lavaetain couldn't dive out of the way fast enough and one of the maws closed on her leg, dragging her along as Karen smashed right into a building, right THROUGH the building, and tossed her through a window into a street right out on the opposite side. Then Karen stomped on the ground, ice forming under her feet, as she let loose a mighty roar!

"ROOOOOOOAAAAAAARRRR! I GIVE MY LIFE FOR THE POWER TO DEFEAT YOUR EMPIRE! I SACRIFICED MY SOUL TO THE FROZEN LAND! I AM THE WINTERS BLIGHT! THE FROZEN TEETH THAT WILL RIP YOUR HEART OUT! ROOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRRR! I AM KAREN AND I WILL BE YOUR SLAYER LAVAETAIN! I WILL NEVER SURRENDER! I WILL NEVER SUBMIT TO IMPERIAL RULE! I WILL KILL YOU AND YOUR EMPEROR! I WILL BECOME THE THREE-HEADED DRAGON OF THE MIDNIGHT TUNDRA IF IT GIVES ME THE POWER TO ACHIEVE SUCH A FEAT!"

Ranma

What did he just say! He wasn't gonna run away or anything! They were civilians here and he wasn't gonna let them be casualties of the upcoming battle. This guy was certainly stronger than Saffron, and he didn't bring the Gekkaja and the Kinjakan. Doesn't mean that he was gonna lose this fight. After all Ranma Saotome nevers lose. But for once this was a battle he wasn't really in a hurry to win. But hurry or not he wasn't some weak girl trying to hide from the battle. And no one not even blue "I don't wanna tell you where I am from" boy here was going to show him up.

-HEY WAIT FOR ME!

He rushed toward Luer going where the godly ki was emitted. However the strange boy wearing a roleplayer outfit stopped moving and crouched suddenly. Ranma stumbled to a stop, flapping widely is arm to avoid falling on him and keep in balance.

-Whadidjadothatfor?

And now he was lying on the floor. Honestly why did he always meet weirdos. And why was he ignoring him!

-Hey I'm talkin' to ya! What's wrong! Ya deaf now! Ya tryin' ta ignore me! Hey! HEllO! HELLLOOOOO!

And then he asked to the floor is there was someone. Definitely ready for the Cuckoo House this guy. Maybe he should just knock him out and hide him somewhere safe. Except that... now that he thought about it there were two different ki under them. And they seemed to be quite powerful now that he could read them. Powerful but diminishing fast. Whatever was happening, they were using a lot of ki.

-Why didn't ya tell me that there were people there?

He lifted his fist and focused his ki there. He would have to go through concrete, and only Ryoga was able to punch through without using ki. Ok he was ready.

-Stand aside, am gonna break the floor!

Michael Bludreihm, Abyss Watcher of Farron’s Undead Legion
———————————————
Michael noted the extreme strength of the Ice girl’s dragon heads as they tore up the ground to fling at the fire girl. With that kind of strength, she could possibly match Vordt of the Boreal Valley in strength and ice Magic’s. He wondered how one would go about acquiring such a transformation...

The girl ripped up another chunk of the strange stone that made up the cracked pathways of the city and seemed to paused, her head swiveling from side to side as if looking for something. Michael presses himself deeper into the shadows of the window he had been observing from. Had she spotted him, somehow?

The ice girl grinned, and an icy pick of dread pierced the Watcher’s spine as his ever trusty instincts screamed at him to move. As the dragon head of the girl flung the stone at his general direction, he was already moving, dodge-rolling away a fair distance down the hall before coming up into a sprint. He braced himself mentally for the inevitable shattering of glass and wood and metal as the stone met the building at terminal velocity. But it never did, only a dull rumbling as the stone impacted the ground outside. He skidded to a halt and risked a quick glance outside. The stone chunk seemed to be blackened and scorched, with ice covering the back half of it in a representation of the battle between Ice and Fire that was occurring at this moment. It seemed the fire girl had noticed the stone headed his way and stopped it with her form of Pyromancy.

That settled it. The Abyss Watcher narrowed his eyes and flourished his sword as the building rumbled, the woman turned three headed ice dragon plowing the other through the building, the shrieking and grinding of metal and stone being broken apart sharp in his ears. The ice girl had attacked him with a giant chunk of stone while the fire girl had actively tried to help him. This made it simple to figure out he should help, to say the least.

His feet pounded against the hard floor as he rushed to the other side of the building, and near the ice girl yelling to the heavens about becoming the three headed ice dragon of the tundra. If she was to become a dragon, then he had the perfect Miracle to slay her with. His dagger went into a loop on his belt and out came the Sunlight Talisman that settles into his hand as easily as one who had used it dozens of times before. He focused on the subtle warmth that emanated from it, like the gentle caress of the sun, and began to pray and chant underneath his breath, rearing back the Talisman into a throwing position.

Immediately, a crackling spear-like bolt of golden lightning as long as he was tall seemed to grow into his hand, stray bolts of golden electricity striking the ground and the building around him, causing some electronic that were not already damage to be fried immediately. None of it hurt the Watcher, who glared at the ice dragon below amid the cascading sparks and streams of electricity. Either this would kill her outright or hurt her badly, but either way, he would pay her back for the chunk of stone. With a roar, he hurled the Great Lightning Spear at the ice girl below with a THOOMKRAAAK of thunder, what little remained of the glass surrounding him shattering from the force of it’s departure as it dived towards it’s target, a trail of sparks behind it.

The Great Lightning Spear was said to pierce even the thick stone hides of the Ancient Stone Dragons back in the Age Of Ancients: they would see if the same could be said for the Ice of this girl’s transformation.

- Thor Odinson, God of Thunder -

The people that surrounded the Asgardian were strange, out of place even. One of the first to address Thor was a blue humanoid with spiky hair and frightfully large eyes, who implored the Thunder God not to fight, stating that they too were "carried here".

"You were...carried here?" Thor kept his guard up even has his tone of voice calmed just a tad. "Well you certainly don't belong here, you look like something conjured up from Loki's fever dreams." He commented toward Sonic regarding his appearance, but someone else caught his attention, calling to Thor and addressing him as Aedroth, which perplexed him, but Thor couldn't help but be a little curious?

"I am Thor, God of Thunder, stranger. I know not of any "Aedroth". I know as much of that as much as I do on what the hell is happening outside." Thor introduced himself with well-earned pride to the Spriggian, soon noting that she seemed to be some kind of tree-like being, who would soon seem to analyse the building they stood within.

"This is an old building, I gathered that...but who is Aetherius? Who are all of you? And did any of you also see a flash of green light before arriving? If so, I fear we are either in the midst of a strange plot or a very coincidental phenomenon indeed." Thor questioned, then noted that this is either a terribly unlikely coincidence or someone had brought them here for an unknown reason.

(Still only Thor for now.)

"A god of thunder?" replied Alistia in seeming disbelief, not the good kind. "Sorry for my skepticism but whenever one whom is not the Twelve proclaims themselves to be a god it usually ends with me having to put them down as they become a primal. But, if we are in a multiverse, I would not be surprised if there are other pantheons than the Twelve, so my skepticism may be unwarrented. No matter. If you are a good person I will gladly stand beside you. Though I must ask... of all the people whom are gathered here, what are we in our homeworlds? Were we plucked at random? Heroes? A mixed assortment? Picked to do battle unto the death? Annoyed some fortune teller or something?"

---

The bolt smashed into Karen's left arm dragon at full force. A pained roar ripped through the air as ice broiled and cried out before all along it's neck it exploded outwards all the way down to the head, sending shards of ice out in all directions as the human arm underneath was exposed.

"You!" hissed Karen turning to face the undead, the other head biting and gnashing at the air in fury. Already the exposed arm was starting to frost over again though rebuilding the neck and head seemed to slow her transformation. "You should have run you fool! Your kind will never understand freedom! Only oppression, death, and conquest. You are an imperial worm and I shall crush you like one!" she yelled out as she brought her right arm up. The dragon head roared as it fired off first one, then a second, and a third blast of frozen ice aimed not at Michael but, rather, the very supports of the building. Concrete froze, twisted, and shattered before, with a slow and steady lurch, the building started to move, to topple.

"Rebel scum!" cried out Lavaetain from the opposite side. "You are strong, no doubt, but you are clumsy, stupid, and can't aim for your life! You are a shame to mages everywhere!" she said before sticking out her tongue and then turning around. She promptly slapped her own rear. "Come on! Hit it! I'll stand right here! Spank my imperialist behind with your mighty rebel dragon!" she smacked her rear again. "I won't even try to dodge!"

Karen screeched an unearthly, draconic, wail at Lavaetain as more and more of the building started to crumble. Her left arm was already coated in ice once again and her right dragon head came around as her face, now coated all over in frozen blood, almost resembled a dragons on its own. She took aim and then her whole world exploded as the ground underneath her feet erupted upwards in a flaming, molten explosion. Karen was knocked back into a wall as the ground underneath her feet first lit up with broiling heat, then exploded again sending Karen flying forwards past Lavaetain into the streets... right as the asphalt lit up and a THIRD explosion went off at her feet sending her toppling through the air to slam into a lamppost.

"Honored civilian!" cried out Lavaetain as she rushed to the edge of the collapsing building, thankfully collapsing away from her. "Cover your mouth and eyes to block the dust and run to me! Swiftly! Before the building falls upon you! I can break apart the concrete if it traps you!" She so wished she could rush over to Karen, ending the fight with a single, swift, swordstroke... but ensuring the safety of the civilian came first.
