Re: Shapeshift Town - CHAPTER 2
Obskeree snapped her fingers and grinned ferally.
"We need a distraction if they're following us!" she pointed out. "I'll go!" And with that she darted into the trees, leaving a faint trail of blue light behind her from her wings. A split second later she was back, pointing acusingly at the Neake. "No killing Mr Jack while I'm gone! I mean it!"
The Neake shook his head. "I shall not kill Jack at this time. Are you sure you are capable of a suitable distraction?
Obskeree gave him as hard a glare as she could muster which - admittedly - wasn't very threatening, but she tried. "Yes. I'll see you in a bit - stay here and stay quiet please~"
She disappeared once more into the density around them to carry out her non-descript 'distraction'.
The Neake turned to Jack and Palonis and, in a slightly hard-pressed tone, sighed, "Did you too misunderstand my intention? Do I need to explain it in a more simple fashion?"
Meanwhile, Obskeree spied the noobs from between some branches and wondered what to do. The only thing she had on them, probably, was speed. She hoped it was the case as she placed her hands on the tree in front of her and concentrated all her telekinetic power.
The tree fell abnormally fast and she quickly darted off to another to begin a trail of brushes and trees, not sparing a moment to look back. She could hear them stalking her quickly, and that was enough.
She only had to go far enough to make them think they were in that direction. Then, she'd follow her own fairytrail back to the others.
At least, she hoped it would be that simple, she really did - but there was a strange nag she had never felt before, a negative feeling at the back of her mind. She didn't recognise it, but in retrospect she would. Doubt.
[Obskeree, determined to show her worth, charges off to distract the noobs with a rather half-baked plan. The Neake fails to recognise that now isn't the time to discuss his intent.]
