The Dragon Blades Chapter 1

" I suppose your right. But that doesn't change the fact that many of our
own were lost to the flames. And I can't rebuild that like I can a city. replacing
lives is harder than it sounds, easier said than done."

She sighed in frustration, looking out to the flourishing forests and fields
beyond, the expansive deserts and towering mountains. it was all just as
beautiful as it was the day that the darkness took over. everything was still
just as magnificent and luxurious as before.

"I understand that. But Alice it isn't hard... because it's impossible. Not one life can be replaced. Each soul is unique." He said as he looked out upon the fields and smiled.
"Beautiful... I've never seen anything like this..."
 
" well get used to it Kyle, because form here on out,
nothing will be shrouded by the darkness."

Skyla looked out, admiring the expansive light
covered terrain. Wondering what would become of the
three of them and whoever else survived.
Alice was certain that things would run smoothly,
but she made sure to be wary of unexpected turns
in her planned course.
