The Dragon Blades Chapter 1

He ducked, slashing in the air, stabbing one.

The other went over you, landing behind you.
It charged, lunging and snagging a hit on the
backside of your leg. The mark was very shallow
and it wasn't enough to cause bleeding, barely
a scratch on the surface of your skin. Then they all
charged you. Fusing together to form one massive shadow,
taking on the form of a dragon, but not being one as a
solid form. It was a shadow, but it was going to be much harder to kill now.

"You've got to be kidding me..." he said. He ran a little further from the church and shifted. He started using his claws to try and slash it.

The shadow dragon reared u and slammed it's claws into the ground,
sending a quake through the stone. A few buildings falling to the ground around it.
It made a bellowing noise, a sort of piercing screech mixed with a roar.
It's sound sending chills through the air.

He shook his head, his ears hurting. He extended his wings and roared back. He spit purple mist at the foe. He couldn't see all too well in his dragon form, and he could extend feelers that lay hidden on his head, but he would need to have his mist hit the foe before he could accurately 'see' them.

The mist hit the dragon, hissing and dragging it's head along the ground.
It sent a stinging sensation through it, causing it to recoil.
It stepped backwards, looking up at you, it's eyes a fiery red.
It's tail whipping around and knocking you off balance.

He staggered, almost falling over due to his weight. He stood back up and roared his really screechy roar. His wings went from a blue hue to purple as her roared, and his feelers came up. The tips were glowing purple.

The dragon charged at you, slamming it's head into your chest
which threw both of you off balance and crashing to the ground.
As it too had wings, they flared out, it's claws digging into your sides
as it went up into the air, bringing you with it. It went up with each
beat of it's massive wings. Rather high up within a matter of minutes.

He struggled. His feelers slashing it a few times. They may have been for 'seeing' but they were as hard and pointy as horns.

Angelique finally reached were Alice was. "hey" she said softly with a light smile. She hated the cold so she made sure her cloak covered her. Her hair swayed from the wind as she walked onto the balcony. "you know I've been thinking how great it would be to actually travel.. " she said softly and looking out into the distance of the shadowy place they weren't allowed to enter.

Kyle tried to slash the shadow dragon with the claws on his wings. He was desperate to get loose. He wanted to be able to help this poor soul, whatever the cost.

The attmepted attacks wounding but not slowing it down,
contnuing to beat uowards before looking at you with it's
fiery red eyes. Then it let go, droping you down through
the air and watching you plummet. Feeling pleased with
itself at the current feat.

Alice turned to look at Angelique, a joyful glint in her eyes.
She was more than gladto see her, finding comfort in her
presence. It seemed that she had an easier time with
herself when others were around, especially when those
others were close to her as Angelique was.
" Yeah, maybe tomorrow we might actually get some sunshine..."

Kyle started panicking. He flapped his wings like crazy, slowing him down, but too fast to actually fly. He hit the ground pretty hard, twisting his ankle. He yelped in pain and turned to look at the shadow, his eyes glowing with anger. He spit his purple mist at it, the mist ball bigger than the last.

Upon collision with the mist, the shadow dragon fell to the ground,
writhing in pain, clawing at it's face. It was down for the count as of now,
but it wouldn't last forever. The mist acting like a poison against it.
It made a screaming sound, echoing through the darkness around them.
Just before you, was the crumbling church, a bright glow able to be seen within.

Kyle quickly went over to finish the job, stomping on its neck repeatedly until the shadow actually broke and dissapeared. He went out of his dragon form and limped towards the church, grunting with every step of his left ankle.

After the shadow had been defeated, the barrier cracked,
a split running along the outer edge of it. It was breaking, the
darkness having been a major support for the barrier.
But it was falling apart now, giving you the freedom to
retrieve the glowing orb. Your would healed when you neared it,
giving you a new-found strength.

Once he got there he could just feel like he was getting better, even with all the wounds he gained in battle. He took the orb and quickly ran over to the girl in need. He held it out. "This what you're lookin' for?" He asked, half jokingly.

She was more than happy to take the orb,
holding it firmly in her hands as energy surged through her.
Her black shadowy figure soon had white shining cracks
going up and down, and rapidly spreading.

" Yes. Finally someone broke my curse!"

She then changed into an elegant, white figure.
Floating in the air, her eyes shining like stars.
She was en elemental. One of light, she had indeed
been trapped in a shadowy form by the one
spreading darkness across these lands.

" thank you so much. Now I can be free again.
Is there any way I can repay this kindness you
have done for me?"

Angelique smiled and leaned against the balcony railing. "you know I've almost read every book in that library, I think I have to much time on my hands" she laughed softly. She tilted her head to the side. They might turn into mighty dragons but they were still girls. Well she was a women and Angelique was almost there. "so have you found a husband" she teased playfully with a soft smile on her lips. Looking down at a few people walking below.

He shook his head. "Helping people is all about making them smile. You already repayed me." Kyle responded, smiling. He was in awe with what he looked at, but he didn't wanna sit there with his mouth hanging open. He simply smiled.
