The Dimensional Intersection

Pani blinked as another woman took Beau's hand. She shrugged and simply said, "Pani. Nice to meet cha." She motioned to the girl to show that she had no problem with him talking to her instead. Suddenly a loud shout rose over the normal mutter of the Intersection.

"WHAT IN HELLS NAME" ,roared the foghorn voice, "IS THE BLOODY HOLD UP?!?!?!" A orange blast of energy was shot into the air and exploded with a sound like thunder. The circle immediately scrambled away leaving what they had been watching and the one who shouted. The man was clad in a dark crimson coat and a black pirate's hat. The Jolly Rodger printed on it was flaming and one of its eyes was a sparkle. A great, bushy beard laid on his bulging belly. His left arm was made of black metal and ended in a powerful looking cannon, smoke rising from its red hot rim. A deathly snarl was scrawled onto his face and he was followed by four strange creatures carrying a large chest.

Because everything needs pirates.
Before him stood the person that had gathered such a crowd. It was a girl, not extremely young but still not old enough to be by herself. She was in a meditational pose, eyes closed, one foot resting on the handle of a small katana which in turn was balanced on another with the tip of its blade touching the ground. She still hadn't moved from her position despite the current situation.

Pani's eyes welled with fear. "Shit, that's her." She thought aloud, gabbing her squeegee and running out the cafe.

Lydia flinched at all of the noise, her sensitive cat ears were left ringing.
"Gah, this doesn't look too good." She muttered. She heard the clatter of chairs and tables as Pani ran out of the cafe to the scene. Lydia jumped from the comfortable windowsill to the wooden floor of the cafe. In a few short, dignified strides, Lydia made her way to the unused fireplace. A pair of these (http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/130/6/c/wind_claw_by_raverunner-d64r6dr.jpg)
Sat on the mantle. Lydia took them both, placing her hand and arm into them. She shaped her hands into fists.
"Hey, I'm going to borrow these!" Lydia hollered again, holding one of them up in the air. She then vaulted over the wall and out the window, right into the crowd.
"Meh. I've never been too fond of pirates." She was only a few people behind Pani, but intended to back her up in case a fight ensued.

Caddy looked on as the animals and people interacted. She hasn't been able to leave her house in a while and coming to a social gathering was decidedly refreshing to her. But this one might get confusing. She didn't like confusion. She kept staring and kicking her front teeth, waiting for whatever the situation provided. She was skilled in the martial arts and was able to jump high distances. But if only she has her spirits with her. Then she wouldn't feel so lonely. Whatever dimension this was confused her to no end. She came up to the the girl at the window and continued taking in information, while standing a safe distance from the crowd.

Beau was taken by surprise when a young woman took his hand instead of Pani, introducing herself as Caddy. Beau looked to her in surprise, blinked for a moment with his dark eyes but gave her a small friendly smile. He looked back to Pani as she gladly didn't seem phased by the interruption. "Likewise" he responded. The commotion outside was growing and he looked back out the window.

"WHAT IN HELLS NAME" ,roared the foghorn voice, "IS THE BLOODY HOLD UP?!?!?!"

Beau rose from his seat in alarm at the events unfolding out on the street. Amongst the crowd, the crazy fat man and the pirates, Beau caught sight of the young girl in what seemed to be either meditation or a trance. As Pani cried out in alarm and rushed out of the cafe Beau's curiosity and concern grew. He quickly stood up, left his coffee on the counter and rushed out after Pani. He felt slightly vulnerable as his profile was completely exposed, but he would deal with the danger if it were to arise.

Beau rushed out after Pani on to the street, taking a better glance at the scene unfolding. Pani seemed to be troubled with the girl. It was odd to him how such a quiet person could inflict such chaos. He reached out and grabbed Pani's arm, stopping her before she could move further. "Pani wait. Wait's going on?" he demanded, looking down at her with his hand grasped firmly around her bicep.

Lydia was still making her way through the crowd, it's ocean-like current had pulled her slightly off course. She stumbled slightly as a cart flew behind her. She held her wolverine-armed hands above her head; she was taller than most people and didn't want to stab the crowd. She swiftly cut through the crowd eventually and took her position about two or three people away from Pani. But now it seemed like the man from the cafe was stopping Pani from getting to the green-haired relative. She refrained from slicing his face open. But something about it seemed sickly familiar...

Meanwhile, back in the cafe, someone had downed Beau's unfinished coffee. The cup was slammed back down on the counter and the slammer wiped her mouth with her wrist. She was the cafe owner, who closely resembled Izumi Curtis from Fullmetal Alchemist, minus the Flamel tatoo, left of her collarbone. She was on the opposite side of the counter than she normally was, and seriously ticked off. She was filling in for an employee whose worker had gone off to some race. She washed tables aggressively and gave off a negative vibe while doing it, scaring most of the customers who were still in the cafe. She took a moment though and stared out of the window at the ruckus. Her student was running into the thick of it. She sighed and crossed her arms.
"Tch. She demands everything of me and makes such stupid, impulsive decisions." She frowned, extremely disappointed in Lydia.
((Adding in a new character to be in two places at once :3 ))

Pani tugged against Beau's grip. "That is my niece. That man might kill her." Her glare was as cold as the grave, blatantly screaming 'I'll shove this squeegee up your ass if you don't let go.' She looked back at the girl beyond the wave of people.

"Out of my way louse." The man growled, stepping closer to the girl. Her pose did not waver. "You daft bilge rat? I said move it!" Again, no response. A sweep of his metallic arm sent the girl flying a few feet away. She flipped in the air and landed on her feet, twin blades clattering to her sides. The girl's face remained emotionless but her eyes locked on a metal badge that had fallen from her vest. It seemed to be made of silver one moment, wood the next, and caught the greedy eyes of the rotund pirate captain.

Pani gasped, broke free of Beau's grasp, and ran up to the man. The deed however, was done. The bearded loon had snatched the badge and peered at it with his small eyes. Rage grew upward with this man. His foot stomped, his fist clenched, finally his face turned red and the man exploded like a volcano. "YOU!" The captain pointed his cannon arm at the girl, who in response lowered to grab her katanas. Pani readied her oversized squeegee like a war-hammer, the rubber end turning into a dark steel blade, resembling that of a guillotine. She ran up to the man and slammed the side of the weapon into his robotic arm, causing it to shoot into the ground, creating a small crater. The captain roared and his crew of small lunatics dropped the chest before jumping at Pani, brandishing their swords and screaming nonsense.

Caddy stood for a while until realizing that the people and animals were running out of the cafe. There was commotion outside and she looked curiously on. She did not want to get into anything, but remembering that she could elope into different dimensions made her want to take on any possible endevour. Walking out slowly, she did her best not to trip over the swords on the floor. She wanted to pick one up but she had a different power; she could summon spirits. If she was able to figure out whose side she needed to be on to complete her task though. Her eyes scanned the premises, wondering if the man she extended her hand to was to be trusted. She did not care for the names of these people. Or their lives. She just wanted an extension of knowledge. If she could just know something else about this place. She looked at cold coffee standing at her window in the coffee shop. Asta la vista, coffee. Time to rummage through the thoughts of the humans around. The girl with the cat ears, she might be a good ally. She just wanted to be sure, Caddy that is. Stepping out into the outside, the activity was useless to her stamina. She needed to charge from the place she was standing. No point in going further down, it would drain her energy. She summoned her spirit, who stood by what looked like a captain of some sort, and nodded. The spirit blew slowly and the captain's neck snapped. Caddy nodded and looked towards the girl, was it Padi? Yes, she took on her other spirit and made it stand behind Padi. "Protect the rest." Caddy turned her back to not be noticed after that.

((How many characters can we control, btw?))

Even though he heard what Pani said his grip remained. He was unsure if he was trying to protect Pani or just figure out the situation at hand that she seemed to be involved in somehow. Her niece! He looked up at the bellowing voice of the large bearded man, his pompous attitude with his odd brigade intriguing and slightly alarming. He blinked in surprise as he thrashed his flashy arm at the girl, sending her flying across the cobble stone street where she still managed to land quite gracefully.

Beau's rip loosened as he watched the commotion and Pani pulled herself free, running in to the crowds after her niece. Beau thought for a moment. Entering a crowded area like this was dangerous for him. With no clothes to properly hide or disguise himself he could be recognized. He touched his shirt and, hidden within resting at his sternum, touched the pendant that rested upon it. The silver chain peaked above the collar of his shirt, a silver chain that hung around his neck. Beau was only a human but this pendant gave him an edge that allowed him to thrive in this multi-universe.

Beau was a notorious bounty hunter in the underground black market. He was a skilled hunter, completing large scale independent jobs that brought in large amounts of money. He specialized in dragon hunting and capturing wanted specimens that usually got sold in to slavery. His work was by no means ethical. Beau hadn't always been in the dark trades. He had started out in his younger years as a curious human and intelligent gambler. Despite his savvy with the game he managed to pull himself in to a high stakes poker game that lost him his freedom. To earn his freedom back he was banished to work for the specimen he lost to, a wealthy and corrupted slave house owner that dealt in all of the various black market events; the greed of the creature for power and wealth could not be satiated. Beau had just a few years left and he wondered if he would be set free with how valuable his work had been for the specimen. He tried not to dwell on such things as it only gave him grief and despair. Not, at age 36, he was given an edge with the amulet and some personal combat training. Unfortunately, his many years dealing with the black market where there were no strict rules, he's made some intense enemies along the way.

In a flash, Pani had attacked the raging man on the street, disorienting him with a blow to his metallic arm. With a swift response his small army lashed back out towards Pani, surrounding her with their buzzing noises. Beau rushed towards them. The pendant around his neck glowed softly at his will. It would give him a short term power to help Pani out. He rushed towards the small pilfering beasts and swung one arm out towards one that had it's nasty fingers wrapped around Pani's leg. His arm connected and with more force than a human could ever provide he knocked the creature several feet back and up in to the air. Before he could move to the next, one of the strange little creatures latched on to his leg and it's mouth bit down in to the meat of his calf. Beau screamed out in pain "Aaagggh!!" He tried to get it off of him but it's teeth, or whatever it had in place of teeth, were secured tightly and painfully. He tried throwing his fists down against it but it seemed to ignore whatever pain he was inflicting.

((Try to keep it at two. Don't want it to become too confusing. So far there are two things happening. A fight in the road and safety in the cafe with the cafe owner))
Lydia saw many people from the cafe launch themselves at the pirate. Lydia stood, assessing the situation. It seemed like the dark guy wanted to protect Pani. Even if she didn't trust him, he could be of some use. She shuffled her way to Beau and the pirate lackey.
"Those little ankle biters aren't going to be much of a match to me." Grabbed its waist and yanked it to her, then cut its head off with her claws. "Yuck." She said, inspecting her now-soiled claws.

The creatures bled a strange substance. It looked like liquid TV static. A low hum eminated from it along with a courus of ghostly wispers.

"You don't want that stuff on your possessions." Pani slashed wide and tossed Lydia a small rag. Another circle had formed around the fight, cheering and taking bets. The creature that had been launched by Beau crashed into the upper window of a nearby house where several very nasty words soon erupted. The other two jumped at the bounty hunter, swinging their blades wildly.

"Q, your allowed to fight now!"

In a flash the girl was between Beau and the pirates. Her swords were held forward, impaling the heads of the attackers who shortly spasmed before going limp. The captain died swiftly as his neck snapped but had enough time to send a final message to his metal arm. As he fell it rose and fired at Pani. In response Q kicked one of the corpses off her blades causing the blast to insinerate the dead creature instead of her aunt.

"Alright Q, fighting's over." Pani stated, as if nothing happened. Q sheathed both her katanas in a double scabbard strapped to her back, bowed to Beau, and walked over to her badge to pick it up.

Zayne blinked, the commotion outside had woken him up from a rather prolonged nap, the first thing he noticed was a rather large fight happening outside, quickly grabbing his sword, and throwing it's strap aroudn his shoulders, he burst out the door, barely remembering to pocket the key to his room as he rushed downstairs. He burst out of the front doors, instantly noticed the band of pirates that were attacking the two he had met before, and with that in mind, he drew his sword. A blue glow suddenly radiated from him as he charged, a few rune-like symbols on his sword glowing the exact same color... He moved in a blur, preparing to strike, but, it appeared that the fight had finished right as he had arrived, so, he skidded to a stop, the blue glow suddenly fading as he blinked a few times... Panting a little. It appeared, whatever he had done tired him out a bit, more than he had expected... He sheathed his sword just then, blinking a few times. Whatever he had just done, he hadn't been aware of it; some forgotten power that clearly took more out of him than neccesary for a situation like this, he'd need to be carefull about rushing into a battle next time; tiring out this fast would surely cost him his life. After a moment to catch his breath a little, he cocked his head to the side "What did I miss?" he asked, scratching his head a little, he made a mental note not to sleep so heavily if this stuff happens again, but, could it have been helped? In fact, he couldn't really remember most of his trip to his room nor laying down in his bed...

"Thanks." Lydia wiped the claws off with the rag Pani had given her.
She approached Pani and Q when the fight was over.
"So you were looking for her? Uh, Q I heard eight?" Lydia said, folding her arms carefully to not stab herself. She pulled one hand out of the claw and held it out to the pair. "I dunno if I've said this before, but my name is Lydia..." Her voice trailed off as she looked back at the cafe. She could feel a hole being stared though her head.
The cafe owner was standing in the window she had jumped out of. Her eyes looked like they had hellfire in them.
"Shit."
She heard someone mutter not too far behind her "What did I miss?" She turned over her shoulder.
"Pirates. They were picking the fight with the green-haired girl. Her aunt with the squeegee, the one with the shiny teeth," she paused for a second. She probably shouldn't mention the guy. The way he acted and looked seemed like he wanted to stay unknown in the shadows. "And I, we came and helped her fight. Though, most of it was over before I got here." She shrugged.

Beau looked to Lydia as she came to him, ripping the creature off of his leg and dissembling it. He winced as the creature was yanked free and bent over, clasping his hands over his leg. The fabric around his left calf was damp with his blood, the red substance oozing out into his palms clasping the wound. "Damnit" he groaned in pain and frustration. The wound burned and throbbed and he did his best not to show too much of his human side. So far he seemed to be the only human of the group. He looked down at the creature and the strange liquid that oozed out of it; it didn't even look like proper blood. Whatever the creatures were they were obnoxious. Beau distracted himself with his wound and didn't see the two other little scavengers fly out and down at him until it was too late. He turned, look up at the noise and had time to straighten, just raising his hands for defense when he heard Pani shout towards someone.

In the time it took for Beau to blink after Pani shouted he saw the little girl, seemingly Q, flash between him and the oncoming creatures. She swiftly and gracefully knocked them out of his way. Q sliced down the pirates and the large loud man went down with them. His eyes widened when he saw the metal arm leave a last minute attack in his wake. He turned to Pani, arm outstretched, with just enough time to shout her name. "Pani!" Before he could urge her to watch out Q was one step ahead, deflecting the shot aimed for her aunt. Beau blinked, staggering one step as he favored his injured leg, watching Q settle down with Pani, both acting like nothing had happened. He looked to Q. What was she? The question wasn't who but what as in his mind he saw potentially a high valued item in the black market. He was staring at Q for quite awhile before he realized his eyes were lingering a bit too long. He kept his thoughts to himself, wondering if he could get more information about Q. If he got the right intelligence and got close enough to the pair, Q just might be valuable enough to set him free. He exhaled deeply, slightly conflicted with his thoughts. He turned back to Pani and said "thank you. Thank you both" giving Q one last glance before looking back down to his hands; they were stained red with his own blood.

A man rushed forward, Zayne, and he recognized him from before when the group had initially entered the lobby. He straightened himself up, wiped his hands on his shirt and looked to Lydia as she addressed the other man's question. She didn't mention him and he felt grateful for it. Beau looked back to Pani. He was unsure how to get close to her without over stepping any bounds. "You have some impressive skills there Pani. Your niece as well." He gave her a small smile, wincing as the pain in his calf flashed up through his leg. "You uh, don't happen to have just as impressive healing powers, do you?" He glanced to Lydia "or at least the manager has a first aid kit?"

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure Isana will have something like that. Or maybe better. We'll see, unless you two do have healing powers. Do you need help walking?" She asked, partially trying to be polite, and offered her shoulder and the rag Pani had given her. She knew people who could help better, but no one could keep a secret easily in town so he probably wouldn't be safe.
She tapped a button on her glove that rested under her wrist.

Inside the cafe, a little red light flashed right under the counter with the complementary muffins. It caught the shop owner's attention almost suddenly, and she vaulted over the counter. She rose back up with a wooden, beautifully designed box in her hands, then placed it on the counter and opened it. The inside was velvety, with many odd vials and tools. She picked around in it, counting the objects. She lifted herself back to the other side of the counter, then strided to the doorway, awaiting Lydia' s motion to summon her.

Caddy stood by as her spirits looked on, protecting those they were around. No one gave her a chance to explain, or even a glance of recognition, but she was the one that would be able to heal them. The spirits that she had with her were forms of energy that she used on herself sometimes, but this time it seemed like the man and the girl, Q, needed some help. She nodded towards one of the spirits, and it quickly extinguished the bruises on both beings. She turned towards the cafe. No need for coffee, she was already way too awake. She needed to find a way through to the next side fast, it was turning dark, and she needed some of the blood that was left by the savage pirates for her energy as well. The spirits flowed right back to her and she smiled; obedient as ever, they were her favorite possession.
She whispered to herself "Man, if only i was a bit more social. Maybe then i would get some answers" She stepped forwards to talk to the bounty hunter, but then stopped herself. "I'd rather them approach me."
But then she thought she was too scary for them. She turned towards Lydia, who was running back into a cafe, and as their eyes met, she smiled. Her sharp teeth flashed again, and she hid them at once, thinking she was too scary once more. She stood still and watched the humans talk. Pirates. Ugh, she thought, if only to drink their blood without anyone seeing. What to do, what to do...?

Pani's blade turned back into rubber, now wet. She began to scrub up the glop that had been left from the creatures, whistling 'Steamboat Willy.' She nodded at Lilith's words, "yup." Q stared at Lilith's hand blankly for a while, before bowing slightly and going to the chest. The crowd went on its merry way, a small pocket forming around the area that Pani was cleaning. Q pried the chest open, peering inside for a moment before closing it and returning to Pani as she was explaining that nether of them had healing powers. She made a series of motions with her hands, identifiable as sign language. The motions meant, for those who knew them: 'The chest is empty. Should I stab it?' Pani shook her head, "no, don't do that. I'll open a portal once I'm finished with clean up." Q suddenly felt her side, the bruise she had obtained from the man's furious sweep of the arm disappeared. She looked around, found the woman with pointed teeth, and bowed slightly.

Lydia cocked her head as she went by Caddy, and waved back to her.
Isana stood in the doorway, now half pissed off, half concerned.
"What happened out there?" She demanded as lydia got to the doorway, gasping for breath. The crowd had cleared enough for Lydia to dart between people, non-stop.
"I was helping them protect themselves!" Lydia explained.
"You did a damn good job too!" Isana said sarcastically. "How many did you swipe at? One? And you killed it! You're still in training Lydia! and your skills are to be used in self defense or-"
"To help people! That's what I was doing!" Lydia motioned to the group. Isana put a hand to her forehead, frustrated.
"Look, Do you need this or not?" Isana held the box up and Lydia shook her head. Isana rolled her eyes and turned back to the counter. Lydia turned around and walked back to the group.
"So, pani. Q cannot speak? Because, uh, I can't speak sign language fluently." She said, scratching the back of her head.

Zayned sighed a little, rubbing his forehead, he still had a bit of a headache from waking up as suddenly as he did, not to mention a bit of resonant pain from that little smack on the head by a squeegee. He stayed silent for the time being though as he seemed to be clueless as to what else he was supposed to say; socializing had never been his strong suit these days, well, not that he could remember if it was before all of this anyways. It annoyed him just slightly that he had just barely missed the action, but, on the bright side, no-one was hurt... Well, with the exception of their assailants anyways. Though, one thing was for sure; wherever they came from, more would be coming, but, it was uncertain exactly when they would arrive, however, he'd be ready next time. Perhaps he could stick with his fists next time? It seemed the locals preferred to keep fights like this un-lethal, judging from the rather angry person scolding Lydia, he'd keep that in mind for any future incursions...

Beau looked to Lydia. She seemed to be a sort of natural peace keeper and he liked that about her. Although her peace keeping abilities seemed to be just as strong as her fighting skills. He took advantage of her shoulder to steady himself as she offered to help him out. He watched her communicate to what was probably the owner of the cafe across the way. He also took the rag from Lydia and tried cleaning off his hands, giving her a soft "thank you".

Beau had been healed a few times in the past; on one occasional the healing came from a powerful being that saved his life, bringing him piece by piece together and all but back to life. But the feeling of being healed was never something he got used to. In a moment between his conversation with the group he began to feel his skin pulling together, the pain dissolving out of his body, the unmistakable feeling of a wound healing swift and effortlessly. It was over as quickly as it came, his wound deep but not drastic. He stepped away from Lydia and tested his leg, putting pressing back to his left side with no pain or difficulty. He then crouched down and pulled up the soggy, blood soaked pant leg, revealing a perfectly normal and healthy looking leg. He pulled the pant leg back down and stood up, looking amongst their group, including the angry cafe owner, eyes resting at Caddy, the woman he awkwardly and briefly met before. He wasn't sure if it was her and stared at her curiously for a moment across the way, giving her a nod of thanks if she were the one who helped.

He watched Lydia make her way over to Caddy. Perhaps she was the healer and Lydia was thanking her. He watched as Lydia and Isana seemed to be arguing about something before she made her way back over.

The crowd was just about all gone now, the curious watchers going back to whatever they had been up to before the events started. Beau exhaled deeply and looked to Pani. She had communicated something with Q but he wasn't sure about what. He needed to get dressed though and shower off the residue blood from his body and clothes. He didn't want to leave Q, unsure if he would find her again as he was very interested to learn more about her. So he turned to Pani, glancing to Lydia then asked them. "How about we get something to eat? I'd like to get cleaned up first but I think we could all go for some refreshments after this?" Hopefully including Lydia wouldn't put off Pani at his request. He looked back to Q, watched her as he waited for their responses, giving the young girl a small smile.

Anime-Girl-Green-Hair.jpg

Timidly a young girl walked and began to look around. From looking at her she seemed like a normal girl she wore a choker with a tiny potion hanging from the center, black tanktop, and ripped jeans with combat boots. On her hands she wore biker gloves with the fingertips missing, and bracelets decorated her wrist. Just as pani had described two katanas sat on her back in the shape of an X.
unaware of her aunts presence the girl walked up to the dark looking man intrigued by his appearance she tapped him on the shoulder, hoping not to anger him. "H-hello.. My name's Hanako im new here and i was wondering if you've seen my aunt Pani. W-we got separated earlier today and i haven't been able to find her." She asked in a quite shy tone and began to look down at her shoes terrified he would yell at her for disturbing his conversation.
