The world would soon be eaten by flame as Miklan awaited within the embrace of the many trees and shrubbery hidden within the jungle. The plant life that took from the earth and gave life to so many things. It was a system as old as life itself, one of trade and balance. One of selfishness and selflessness.

Miklan watched as small animals took from the trees as they grabbed fruit and seeds from around the forest floor. This would be the last he would see of this place.

Fire would soon gorge itself on everything this planet had to offer. It had even given him purpose and even his life. The ancient ruins around him reminding him of the people he once led and the ones whom once believed him. Now claimed by the forest once again, maybe even protecting such things from the violent eyes of other humans.

"Even we death gods die." He whispered to himself as he pulled a stone from amongst the rubble. It carried a carving of two being amongst each other. He could see the representation they gave him and his wife and he carefully looked upon it before placing it within his satchel and bringing himself up from beneath the forest floor.

It was time, the world would be coming to an end. Azrael himself had prepared an army at Megido that they would need and whatever was important to the reapers was being protected and saved. Miklan was one of the few that refused that help for his own place instead offering protection to other ancient places that hadn't yet disappeared to history. Like these ancient ruins his wife was no longer with them and he could even feel the ache within his bones as well. Pain was often seen by humans as a sign of getting stronger but reapers saw it as a sign of becoming weak.

He breathed now and as he opened a portal amongst his feet, all he could see were the sparks of fire which suddenly began to burn as the sight of large burning rocks began to appear across the sky.

This would be revelation.

Azrael watched as the burning rocks began to smash into the cities of old. Reminding him of the days of Sodom and Gomorrah and the wrath God inflicted upon the people. He whispered the last of his spells upon the final graves to protect them. Offering them relief from this punishment and preventing them from joining this war yet.

He had once been a proud follower of the great deity. The creator as it was said was to promise free will to the humans. Giving them a power not even the gods could have. Though he found God traitorous to his own words. When he believed humanity to be twisted and horrid he eviscerated them with water. Flooding humanity and allowing so few of anything to survive. He had claimed they had become too degenerate and evil for what he had planned.

Azrael considered that to be evil. There were children, babies and families that existed. Even then, humans had created atrocities far worse from wars that spanned the entire globe towards genocides of millions of their own people. Yet, during a time when humans were weak and were barely understanding of the working of their world. They were almost entirely slaughtered because if some humans. Not even all of them. Azrael had asked if children and babies were deserving. He never received an answer for why they were not saved as well.

Now this time he refused too allow it to happen again. He had followed what he believed were to be lies and he knew even as an angel he was a reaper first and his kind were created to assure a balance with the father of everything. Failing to live by the rules of giving humans choice was unfair to those creatures And eliminating them again after coming so far he considered heresy.

Time was coming and they already had a plan. It unfortunately was with someone whom the reapers had a very vicious relationship with but it was one of the only other entities who could help them within this time and on short notice and it was the only being who originally defied the creator of everything.

They had made a pact with the devil himself and in a few moments that deal would be sealed. They would be amongst the side warring with the angels.

They were the Devil's Triad.

Izanami watched as the last of the necessary humans arrived within the sprawling city of Tokyo. Alarms were ringing and military and police were everywhere. People were screaming the end of the world as they panicked to see loved ones and family members at least one more time.

She pressed her hands together as of all the other gods she had to complete one of the most strenuous tasks. It was one which would make her weak as well and something she questioned if the devil would take advantage of. Using so much strength was dangerous even if the reapers were somewhat unified she could easily be targeted or defeated which would make this much harder for them to accomplish. Her worse enemy was not the Devil nor God but the reaperd which would be at her feet. She didnt have much choice though because she was the one that had designated the city since it was the largest human settlement. Not only that but if they required to build a new world afterwards this city would also provide much more families and people than anything like the flood supplied. Life though may prove difficult and without a creator it may not even appear. This could be the last moments of the existence of everything in this world as well for the reapers who cared for the dead.

Though, if that was the way in which they would all be able to finish their purpose then so be it, it must be done.

The moon began to slowly move across the sky as the meteors began to pummel into it. She began pulling with immense force as he skin begsn to crack and her bones began tk break. The moon coming close enough to kiss the earth as it made it's descent towards the city. Casting a massive shadow over the entirety of the city as well as the surrounding areas. She was careful with her movement as she finally settled it above the city. Allowing the moon to act as a natural shield to protect the city. It finally reached its chosen designation as she hoped for the second reason they had decided on the moon. Considered one of the oldest gods in humanity it had always used it's presence to protect life whenever possible. Absorbing things like the fire in the sky when it could and aiding life at night providing its light whenever it could.

Moonlight was an incredibly power source and it was often referred too as the mother of the sky. It was this they believed which would help them save this area and a reason to bring it so close to the surface of the earth.

As believed, a soft light began to envelope the entirety of the city. As meteors tried to find other ways too envelope the area they were instantly evaporated as they came into contact with the soft glow. The humans and any animals inside would be safe from further damages and if they wished, could venture out from within their safety. The light would not harm them and the moon's gaze would protect them. Its dominance of the sky would repel anything and it remained calm over the earth as Izanami allowed it to be.

The preparations had been set. The Shinigami would be protecting the perimeter of the area and were the most elite of the armies of death. She was the one who could make this possible and of all the beings that existed now, God in particular would want her dead. She looked at her hands as she felt the pain within them. She quickly disappeared into mist as she hurried too meet the others.

War was declared and the sides were now defined.

A hospital sat quietly from all the chaose from outside. There had been claims of a rapture as some humans had simply vanished but this had been stopped quickly by the reapers preventing many from joining gods army. It had to be taken and it was a grim realization the reapers knew was almost against their belief in balance. Though war had come and as this hospital sat quietly a young boy sat within the lounge. Holding what appeared to be a stuffed bear within his palms and wearing a hospital gown. He sat there almost oblivious of everything haooening outside. His hair was dark and he did not appear to be Japanese though. He calmly waited and breathed as he kicked his feet around.

This would be the place that people with the most purpose or maybe, even with no purpose at all would be summoned. They didn't know how many to expect of at what times but now would be the most expected they believed. Whether they were human, reaper, demon or angel they would find some purpose here. Even if they had no purpose that could lead to infinite purposes for that individual but all they had to do was just wait. The reapers would likely be assembling soon and they wouldn't be here as of yet. So they could at least use this time to get to know these people. Their dark blue eyes kept on gazing at the front door as the horror from outside seemed far removed from what would be within this place.

John Salem sits on a ledge, peering down at the hospital, untouched by the destruction of the war. But john knew, it too would fall along with everything else the humans have built since the beginning of the earth. He had a foreboding feeling because he knew, no matter which side won this war, the earth will pay dearly in the end.

The reaper falls off the ledge and drops two dozen stories, onto the pavement below. Instead of splattering like a human would, he hits the ground like a feather would when dropped. He looks across the street at the hospital's entrance, "I don't want to fight in this war, it's just petty grievances between Heaven and Hell", he thinks to himself as he strode across the street and walked into the hospital.

For the shortest of moments, the sensation of flesh could be felt around Johns frame as a breath slowly escaped from him. The hospital itself felt separated from whatever horrors were happening to that outside though it emanated a feeling guiding the reaper in.

The breath of life was short though and he returned towards his skeleton frame as the boy looked at him from amongst the seats. The bear in his hands missing one of its arms as its eyes were sewn clumsily shut across its face. The child themselves wearing a hospital gown far too large as a metallic stand on wheels sat quietly behind then. The metal stand stood taller than the boy as an IV dripped it's contents into a tube which connected to his arm.

He seemed happy, overjoyed even, as he took in the sight of this reaper. He quietly awaited for the doors to close as the hospital seemed far removed from the events that were happening just outside.

"You came early but don't worry. It isn't just a simple war between hell and heaven. Even I thought it would have been something like that but even death is involved. You are one of the people of death, aren't you mister?" The child looked at them curiously as they kicked their legs as they sat alone amongst the many chairs. "I think you might be important but maybe not. I know a lot of things though mister but I am here to do a job." The child brought themselves to their feet as they walked over with their bear in hand with the metal stand following close behind them. They stopped before John as they looked up at him carefully as they pulled something from their pocket and offered it to him. It was a very fine pen decorated with blue and silver. A paper came with it, with large bold letters across the top. It read:

CONTRACT

Time never waits
It delivers all equally to the same end,
I hereby agree with this statement above.
I choose this fate of my own free will.

Signiture Block:

The child continued to look up at him as they held this towards them. The hospital hasn't even moved a more of dust as they awaited their answer. This place truly seemed on its own and whatever this child was, it spread seemed to know Salem though they were still awaiting their answer.

"I will do what I can afford but I must know you answer before I can proceed. This is not an agreement I can offer again and I shall answer any questions if I am able too." And with that the child waited and it was now presented to this reaper too choose. Free will was something that was deemed powerful and choices are what may potentially solidify or remove power entirely. It was up to their choice and this child waited for it.

DeAndre had felt the unnatural pull that had brought him to Tokyo, granted it was a place that he had always wanted to visit but never thought he’d actually make it there, but he was glad that he had. The world seemed to be falling into chaos, and regardless of this somewhat haven, he was sure that nothing would remain unscathed. He had been at a side shop and ordered a cup of noodles, enjoying the relative peace of his surroundings while at the same time dwelling on the fate of those that had been unable to make it this far.

It was certainly true that a lot of people had been saved by making it here, but at the same time, there was so much loss of life that it was sort of hard to ignore. He shook his head, trying to empty out the negative thoughts as he walked through the streets towards the hospital. He knew that he had made it here for a reason, or at least felt as much, and he was of a mind to do what he could with that. As he walked toward the hospital he saw a group of children with sodden faces sitting together and he couldn’t help but try to cheer them up.

“Hey, guys,” he knelt down to get their attention, “Don’t worry, things will get better. I hear that if you keep up a good attitude, blessings will come your way.” With those words said, he used some of his innate magical powers to create 4 butterflies of water from a puddle nearby. The children’s faces lit up with delight and fascination, and at that he left, making his way toward the hospital as he finished his meal and tossed the empty container in the nearest trash bin.

'The world is really coming to an end, huh? Didn’t think I’d be alive to witness it and not sure I feel so lucky that I am', he thought as he made his way toward the front entrance.

Victoire skipped through the streets of Tokyo, waving to any children she saw and giving them wide smiles. While she managed to distract some children from the fear they all felt, her mind was running with what seemed to be occurring around them. She wasn't sure what was happening but whatever it was, it wasn't good. Within just a few minutes of working her way around people, she found herself standing outside the hospital. She stood outside for a few moments, thinking about how she had been brought there.

She had only found herself in Tokyo a few days ago, she had just felt a compulsion to be here and she wondered if this was why. She shook her head and plastered her usual happy smile on her face, walking through the front doors of the hospital. She wasn't sure where to go, who to go to first. There were so many people where who were scared and suffering. Deciding on staying with the children, she walked through the lobby and looked for any groups of kids that didn't seem to have adults with them. Children alone were always the most scared.

She found a group of kids under the age of 10 that had no parents nearby and settled herself on the floor with them, crossing her ankles as she drew their sad faces to look at her. "Well, who are you guys?" She asked with a bright smile before launching into some comical children's story about a dwarf and his journey to finding out that friendship was all he needed. Victoire couldn't remember where she remembered the story from but it always made children laugh and that was what they needed right now.

"We need to bring families to the schools! Any buildings that may be capable of providing shelter take a hold of. If you find any seriously injured people bring them to any of the major hospitals within the city. They should be self sufficient with those power generators but make sure to take guard. Anyone who is tampering with them will be apprehended. Have I made all my orders clear?" She looked up at the sky as she finished stating her orders as the moon came close to the earth. The sight of meteors flying across the sky as they streaked flames in the distance. She could feel the earth rumbling underneath her feet as she worried of the earthquakes and the tsunami that could easily follow but as the moon settled the ground beneath her settled.

She had already tried to make contact with the United States or any European power in the region. Australia being her last bet as she watched as the skies in the distance began to turn black. The immense burning that must have been happening across the vast ocean must have been immense. She clenched the radio to her chest as she quickly took some firearms with her and looked around. Lucky they had recently received full shipments of crude materials and supplies but she couldn't even possibly take in what was happening. The moon, the fire, and all the innocent people. She took a breath as she decided to leave her post. The soldiers were already trying their best at handling the situation and helping anyone they could. She had to turn off any receiving signals as some were the screams and horrors coming from places outside of the city. She did not want her people too hear and she could not listen herself, she would go and find out what was happening in this world.

What she could maybe do with it.

She looked down at her nameplate as it still revealed the odd name she always had cleanly printed upon it.

The children watched as the water slowly became butterflies. They seemed surprised and a few of them seemed at least a little relieved watching such a thing. A few soldiers made their way towards the children as they began to escort them and bring them to a safer location. A few seemed to notice the man but none of them made any efforts to bring him along with them. Some people had loved ones whom were lost, and they had already tried to convince many to come along if they wished but those had been fruitless attempts. They allowed him to leave as their made their attempts towards safety.

As DeAndre entered the hospital there was not a single soul there. It was simply empty as the calmness of the air conditioning could be heard over the echo of the wind moving through the long and desolate hallways. It almost felt unnerving before something tugged at his sleeve.

A young girl looked up at the man. She had dark hair and looked up at him with what appeared to be red eyes. Though they were nothing of malice as her features were that of an innocent small child. She sat within a wheelchair as her body was covered with numerous machines. None seemed to make any noise as they carefully injected the young girl with whatever they contained.

She continued looking up at the man before turning and pulling out a paper from a pocket on her wheelchairs side. She looked through numerous hand drawn pictures of flowers, animals, people and even meteors. She pulled something from among them as she silently handed this towards DeAndre.

It was the contract.

CONTRACT

Time never waits
It delivers all equally to the same end,
I hereby agree with this statement above.
I choose this fate of my own free will.

"Will you sign?" She asked curiously towards the man as she looked up at him. "You don't have too if you don't want too but I need to know if you want too." She replied as the lights had suddenly went out and for a brief moment things went entirely dark despite the light that existed outside and the windows allowing for it to enter into the building.

As the lights returned DeAndre appeared next too John as the two children offered their contracts to each of the men. Curious and wondering if the two would take it. The girl was now carrying a bunny within her lap as the boy now had some small handmade necklaces around him.

The two clearly looked at them without much worry or being afraid and now these two reapers were standing beside one another. It didn't matter that they were not of the same pact but now they were involved with the same strange event.

---

The children in the hospital all looked up towards her as they seemed curious on who she had to be. They enjoyed her stories about the dwarf as they listened and remained alone though no adults were around for her too see. The four children before her were a mix of boys and girls as well as differing hair and eye color.

Each having a different mechanical machine assigned to them. A girl with blonde hair and brown eyes with a monitor placed upon her chest which the outline could be seen through the clothes. A boy with brown hair and yellow eyes wearing a caste over their right arm as drips of blood covered the outside of it. Another girl with red hair and emerald eyes as they had an oxygen tank at their side and lastly, another boy with silver hair and blind white eyes as they looked towards the voice that talked towards them.

"You are asking who we are?" The Brown hair boy asked as he stood up.

"That isn't something we can necessarily answer." The blonde haired girl looked towards her as she looked around the hospital.

"We are a part of this place and we find it important." The red haired girl answered as she pulled and hugged her oxygen tank close to her as she had what appeared to be a lizard plush tied to the end of it with a ragged rope.

"We need you to sign this if you want." The blind child responded as they pulled out a piece of paper. "We don't have much time left, so we really need for you to decide."

The lights had shuddered just like before as the entire hospital went black but as soon as it started the light had returned.

Victoire was suddenly beside John and DeAndre as the group of children was suddenly before the group of them. The Blind child handing his piece towards Victoire. John being offered the same from the black haired child with the bear and IV. As DeAndre was offered the last by dark haired girl with a matching complexion.

"We are known as Sen. We don't have much time so please make your choices." They asked as they each handed the same blue silver pen for them to write with.

"We are here for this contract. We want to know who all of you are." The children responded in unison as they awaited the answers of all of these people.

Sylvia had been in Tokyo for a while now, choosing there as her training ground, needed to get away from all other distractions, or at least what she believed to be the case. She had had a strong urge to get away from everyone and everything and just try to focus on herself for a while, having just finished getting out of a toxic relationship. It wasn’t even a week after she had arrived that all hell broke loose. The things she witnessed, even now, she had a hard time wrapping her mind around. The moon, the f-ing moon had physically moved so close to Earth, during what could only be descr4ibed as Armageddon, and acted as a shield from the comets and debris that would’ve clearly leveled the city.

It was a living nightmare. While all the chaos had ensued, Sylvia had made her way to the top of the apartment building she was in, standing on the roof and watching what appeared to be the end of the world. It hit her on a primal level, the possibility of absolute destruction, and she stood frozen to the spot as she wondered if, by chance, anyone outside of the protection of the moon managed to survive. If they did, they were sure to be in an extremely unfavorable position, as they were likely now living in a wasteland. She watched it all transpire until the devastation ceased, the wails of ambulances, police sirens, and humanity melding together in a sick orchestra of panic and pain.

The sight of all that destruction and the feelings of dread that crept along her bones, she needed to find her center and get her wits back about her. She left the apartment building she was in via fire-escape, choosing to take backstreets and alleys to avoid the police. It seemed that they had been trying to keep everyone under control and in one area, but Sylvia desperately needed to be away from everything and everyone. Silence was what she was seeking, or to be more accurate, she simply needed a place to sit and gather her breathing. Her heart was racing, as were her feet, as she leapt over fences, in-between food carts, avoiding the open areas and the patrols of the local authorities.

As her feet finally came to a stop, her vision seemed to come back into focus, and she found herself as the emergency side entrance of a hospital, the door slightly ajar. She stood there staring for a long while, knowing that the apartment she had left was a good way away from the nearest hospital and trying to figure out how she managed to get all the way here in such a short amount of time, or at least what felt that way. Pushing the irrational possibilities, the fact remained that she was present stood in front of what looked to be a great place to gather herself. She slowly stepped forward, cupping the inside of the door and opening it, poking her head in and hearing nothing. She figured that the doctors had likely gathered everyone on a particular floor, so she stepped inside, intent on finding somewhere to sit and collect herself.

John looks to the other reapers who look just as confused as he was. He couldn't just sign this contract if he didn't know the details. "Hey, what exactly are we signing?", he asks suspiciously, taking the paper from the child and staring at it. The smell of ink permeated from the parchment, indicating it was recently written,"Tell me child, and be quick, what is this?", he asks.

Victoire looked around in shock, frowning as she tried to understand what was going on around her. She looked down at the child in front of her and reached out, taking the clipboard to read it. She lifted the pen and tapped it against her lip as she though before coming to a decision.

“Alright, darling. I’ll sign,” she said to the blind child, scrawling her signature at the bottom of the page before holding it back out to him. “What happens now?” She asked him, crouching down to be on the same level as him. She felt the need to reach out and smooth down his hair but refrained from doing it as she was certain that he wasn’t really a kid.

DeAndre was caught off guard, not so much by this mysterious child and her question, so much as the sudden shift that put him with others. He was use to magical happenings, so he wasn't necessarily threatened by this, but it still felt somewhat off. The nature of the contract was a mystery, but it was the end of days, so it wasn't like things could get much worse. He was alive, he had been drawn here, so this seemed like the next logical step to him.

He took knelt down, taking the paper, signing it, and silently handing it back.

He had regarded the man that began to question the whole ordeal, understanding his concern, but chose to say nothing as it wasn't his place. He had come to this place, drawn or otherwise, and he would do what he felt he must, others actions weren't of his concern, although it seemed that these other two would likely become a part of what he was doing. He momentarily looked to the other woman who had readily signed hers, and waited to see what would happen next.

@TheDevil'sGame

Time would finally come to bring this world to its end. Relieving this world of its suffering and constant warring as it would finally bring that longing peace to everything that had ever existed. The final judgement would come to the people as they would be chosen for their final rest. Whether it would be in the heavens with God, hell alongside the Devil or within limbo aside Death. These would be the lasting moments for what would be the way they would decide this world to end and it would be a continuation of what had already existed. This would be the ending that God had decided and not the chaos or infinite emptiness that the other two had wished for.

God was infinite and the others would need to obey his wishes and if they chose not, he would assure that they would.

He watched carefully as the moon was brought towards the city as the immense power required was only capable from a few. He could feel the breathings of betrayal within his blood as the light of the moon began to encase the city with its protective glow. Anything that would try and harm this place would be repelled. The visions of rapture were not supposed to be like this and as he searched around he knew it was not the devil which was forcing itself to retaliate. This must have been something wildly different and as he searched around he knew that he must have been sent here for this purpose.

As he continued to watch he moved his wings besides them as they appeared like thin light wisps that cast a powerful light as they appeared too look like the skeleton of a pair of wings attached to his spine. He searched for anything of particular as he was hoping to stop or engage with what was happening but as he watched from the apartment buildings he quietly noticed a woman who was watching the same events unfold as they did.

They stood there noticing as the person began to make a run for it as they began to use the building to reach the floor beneath them as they began to avoid any open areas as they decided to follow her like a shadow. It wouldn't be mere coincidence to find someone who seemed to have a purpose and this purpose may be what they needed to fulfill gods wrath and vengeance with. They remained far enough away to offer space but they followed close enough to feel this win and desperate search for something.

It finally ended as she had arrived at a hospital and that was when this creature stopped and looked upon the place. It was certainly not what it appeared to be and it was without a doubt involved in what was taking place. God had sent them here with an idea and they knew they would require to fulfill it. As they spread their wings they moved forward as they followed the woman into the side entrance of this hospital as they became prepared for what they were required to do.

"It is what it says it is." The child looked up curiously at the man of bone. "You are a reaper and that means you should abide by these terms. That does not mean you have too. Time will not choose too wait and it will bring everything around us to the same end. All I'm asking is if you agree with this." All the children looked towards John as the other Reapers began to sign the contracts. The child stood before John before looking towards the door as if something we're there. "God is the apparent good in people and the devil is the apparent bad in people. We are the choice within people and because of that we are allowing you too choose your destiny. Even for those that sign they can betray this. Obviously it will be dangerous if they do so but we can also offer aide. If they grow strong enough they may be able to break the contract and defeat what ties them to it. Though, I'm only born of this world and we are children." The boy turned towards Victoireas if reading the doubt within her mind.

"Thank you." The blind child responded as he took the paper back into his hand. He seemed able to see regardless of the bandages that covered his eyes. "What can happen now is that if you need help I can offer it to you." The child looked up at her as they frowned unhappily. "Though, as he did say, we are children." He responded as he thought about her question for a moment. "What happens now is that I can give you my vision to see things that can happen, will happen or don't happen. Though, you need to use me for that but we are going to be running out of time soon."

The girl in the wheelchair took the paper happily as she placed it within her lap next to her rabbit. She looked back at DeAndre as she beamed happily up at him. "We can offer lots of things to you people but it is of course for a price. Your freedom is now ours but as the first one said. It doesn't mean permanence but we aren't doing anything that the contract doesn't already say.

"For those that don't sign it like that one have already made their decision. We can always offer the contract again and more deals to your kind but I think we are running out of time so thank you for those that cooperated. We cannot protect those that didn't but I wouldn't worry about that so much John Salem. There are definite reasons and for you, I believe it would be best for now that you remain away. You will be joined by one other who won't have the chance to sign as of yet." With that his contract began to burn as the children began to slowly disappear. Almost like ghosts as the lights disappeared for a final time and they had returned to the positions that they had originally arrived in. Within the hospital lobby with only each other reaper as company.

This silence lasted little as a new reaper entered into this lobby as she stood before the other three. She seemed a bit scattered and just like the others had experienced the darkness of the hospital before it had placed her amongst the others there. She didn't have a chance to even speak towards the others as one final guest entered behind her.

He stood a head taller and his wings were clear to the others there. He wore a cloak and a good which covered all of his features and carried with him a large single handed blade and a pair of judges scales in his other. He held the second item before the group as the scales seemed perfectly balanced. With nothing in them it seemed perfectly acceptable to expect this but something seemed to gather within the scales as it seemed to collect a mist from each of the reapers. Almost weighing each of their souls as if concluding what it should make of all of this.

One scale was white while the other was black and as he held this with immaculate stillness. The black scale began to fall as the white began to rise. As this concluded the creature placed these scales within its cloak and rested it in what appeared to be the insides of its body.

It began to speak as it addressed them all with its words.

"I am Raquel. The Archangel of Justice, Harmony and Vengeance. My creator has determined that each of you have fallen out of favor with our dear lord and I wish you all God's mercy as I seal your fate."

As this being finished its words it began to slowly raise the blade above Sylvia's head as the entirety of this moment had lasted only a few moments. The power emanating from this creature was incredibly immense as its presence was clearly felt by the reapers as an angelic being. It would be all over so soon and in the next intimate seconds the sword began to drop towards the back of Sylvia's skull.

latest

Sylvia could feel the blade against the back of her skull. The weight of the metal pressed against the back of her skull as it cut into her skin. Though, this was it. The blade moved no further as something stood before Sylvia as the smell of old bone and decay filled her breaths. This new creature was nothing like the angelic being that stood behind her and its presence spread one that was utterly familiar to the reapers. The bones of its body could be seen as its ribs were coated in blood. It wore a magnificent and colorful headdress that rested upon its head. Its face was looking straight into Sylvia's eyes as the skeletal frame of it's skull was decorated with paint as its two eyes were pearl white spheres that rested within its sockets.

It was Miklan.
They breathed softly as they held their arm behind Sylvia as the blade that touched her scalp was literally stopped by him. As the blade had penetrated the palm of his hand and had sliced through until it reached his elbow. The last bit of bone protecting her as even the angel was impressed at his sudden appearance.

"I didn't expect reapers so fresh and young to be invited to such a place... It amazes me that all of you were chosen." He spoke to the others almost as if the angel was not among them as he slowly moved his arm to hold against the blade to prevent it from taking his arm any further.

"So you have betrayed the words of God. It is you that is causing all of this." The Archangel replied as he began to dig the blade further and further into the Reaper's arm as the reaper pushed Sylvia out of the way and continued to push back.

"I find it amusing that your God knows everything and yet knows absolutely nothing about the happening of this world. It has been ages since I have last seen you and your kind has only become more blind as time has pass." Miklan cursed back as he looked towards the other Reapers. "All of you have been chosen. You all have powers that are dedicated to your pact. I see you, the one of flesh, and you, the one of spirit, as well as you who is of bone and the last who is of blood. If you were all chosen then prove your worth and help me kill an Arch Angel. At least assist me in waging this war."

The Arch Angel pulled his blade out of the Reaper's arm as it lay mangled to his side as he chose to swing again but this time the death god pulled out a large flat wooden sword which carried shards of obsidian cut sharply that dedicated the edges of this weapon as he used it to block the blade of light.

This had all come so quickly and many a things had happened but one last thing finally occurred as Victoire watched the events that began to unfold. Her vision seemed to take the things which had occurred as time almost seemed to stop. The two powerful beings barely moved as ghosts appeared and moved normally. Showing the battle that seemingly would occur as the Raquel would continue to defend himself but Sylvia would unfortunately get in the way as her ghost would become slaughtered in the warpath. DeAndre would be able to help as John could support but this Arch Angel would use the light of its sword to blind them as it would then bring Miklan to his knees before eviscerating the death God as the last three would be standing before everything returned back to the moment before all of this occurred.

"The vision I promised. You saw the future and the events that will occur if you do not interfere. These events will happen as you have saw and it is up to you to let them know if you wish or impede where you can. I can only show you so much but this is what shall happen if nothing is done."

Miklan was already being pushed back towards Sylvia as the Archangel took advantage of the Reapers damaged arm using his disadvantage to push him further and further back.

Something had to be done, and all of them had the capabilities to make this choice.

"It is time for all of you to use those powers you have made a pact with. Impress me if you wish to survive this." Miklan whispered to them all as he held the angel back with his weapon as he caught the blade with his own.

Now or never.

Victoire nodded slightly at the blind child's words, her face scrunching slightly as she tried to understand what was being offered to her. "So, by me signing this contract, I gain the ability to see the future?" She asked, mostly just for clarification before her eyes were ripped from the child, towards the angel that was now among them. She stood and put herself in front of the small boy, wanting to protect him despite the feeling that he wasn't truly a child. She looked between the angel and Miklan, confused but interested in what was going on.

Her eyes widened as she watched Miklan lose function in one arm and then when the two men became ghosts before her, showing her the battle to come. She shook her head as the world turned normal again and she gasped lowly, her mind running through what she could do. She smiled slightly and quickly tuned to the other reapers. "Miklan will lose if we don't help," she said softly, giving each of them imploring looks. "Help me." She turned back to the battling pair and with an intake of breath, called on her connection to her pact.

Because she was from pact of the flesh, she had control over flesh and bone. This would drain her but she had to help somehow. She pulled two men from her own skin, watching them grow to the size she wanted before charging towards the angel. She wanted them to attack him relentlessly until they were cut down, she knew it wouldn't be long before they were gone but they would provide some sort of distraction. Another deep breath and she created hands from the patches of skin on Miklan that reached out for the angel, aiming to pull him in close enough that he couldn't use his sword.

She was now tired but she didn't stop, not until she was forced to her knees with exhaustion. It would drain her more to use the flesh of the angel, he was fighting against her after all, but she had to. She breathed shakily and watched as what she wanted occured, portions of the angel's flesh simply falling from his body. She didn't create anything from them, it would exhaust her too much but this would cost him some stability, function and strength.

Now she had nothing left and simply rested on her knees, watching the fight and hoping that the other reapers would do something to help. She didn't know how much what she had done would help but it would do something at least.

The blind child huddled behind Victoire as they seemed to watch from behind her. They were the only one who hadn't vanished from the group of children though they didn't seem happyto have remained. "I can lend you my power but you cannot use it without my help." The child responded from behind the woman. "It can also show you many futures and possibilities from ones that are certain to ones that are not but I shall help you when I can. Our powers don't require the signing of the contract though. That title is something completely different." The child then became silent ad they focused towards the area the noises came from as Miklan and Raquel were locked in battle.

As Victoire summoned her own flesh to create bodies to defend herself. Miklan waved his free arm to summon the bone from Victoires creations. The bone began to cover these creatures in a skeletal shield which were covered with sharp protrusions and spines. They charged fiercely into the angel as the holy creature pulled away from Miklan as he freed his blade from his arm.

But he was too late.

The small pieces of flesh that were among Miklans body began to transform into arms as they reached and pulled the Angel into their grasp. Miklan seemed happy about this as they opened their maw and lurched forward as they sunk their teeth into the Arch Angels shoulder. The sounds of cracking thundered throughout. As the two bodies collided from the sides crushing Raquel's arms.

He didn't move as he could feel the flesh leaving his body but even in this situation. It didn't seem to displease him. His hood had fallen from his face and he stared furiously at the four reapers. Blood, dripping from his body as the wings of light began to morph into what appeared like wings from a bird. They were a pure white stained only by the red that spilled from him.

Angels hardly shown themselves and their wings of light were those of heaven but here, now, literally facing the incarnation of death, revealed what he truly was. It was an angel but this representation wad not one of immortality or invincibility. It was one that could die.

"Miklan.... You know what you are doing is wrong.... It's against the holy orders of our father.... You can't do this. This group cannot decide the fate of our world. They aren't experienced. They know nothing of anything." The angel replied as they felt Miklans teeth sinking into their shoulder as they gripped their blade tighter.

The sounds of whispering began to appear as Miklans bones began to tremble. He seemed to be speaking despite his teeth being buried into his enemy.

"My wife honored your ideas. She even was among the ones to agree to your original proposal to flood the earth. She believed in you creatures and wanted every purpose to be fulfilled but as time grew on she demanded that we begin our time but your God refused that and murdered her out of anger. It was then we decided to remain removed. We were not united and struggling at that time. Though, I haven't forgotten that it was you angels that took her from me and I remember the lies you told me. That it was that of the devils. I was the one that dealt with demons and I now know you were by far worse than those creatures ever try to be." Miklan himself didn't seem pleased as he recited this old story and the constant struggle between each if the three powers. Even though they were weak now they seemed at least determined to fight.

"The Devil is deceiving you. You know the traitor he is and that alliance you have must come to an end. It wasn't us who took her!"

"I wanted this war the least and even I have a deep hatred against your kind. Imagine the others. They won the vote and they are far more determined than I am... If I also had to guess of which angels had murdered my wife my guess of all of them would be it had to be you. Am I correct? Angel of justice, redemption, and vengeance? The one who would have struck down in the name of your god?"

The Angel didn't answer as they swung their blade with a vicious strike as a blaze of light swung wildly past Miklan as the flesh melted from his bones. The blaze also went towards the reapers as it scorched it's way towards them as it engulfed one of the bodies Victoire made with fire.

It didn't seem as if this battle would be ending soon and Miklan tried to retain control of this angel but even with his strength he couldn't continue to hold the might of Raquel. Though the angel wasn't perfect and as Miklan had shown, they could very well bleed.

DeAndre was astonished by what was taking place, talk about having your world flipped upside down. An angel was here to kill them all. It truly made him question if he had made the right decision, knowing that angels were supposed to be the messengers of God. If angels were now after their lives, didn’t that make them the bad guys? Regardless of the answer and the ever-growing mountain of questions, there was one certainty. He wanted to live. If by that claim, it meant that he was now in opposition to God’s Will, no matter how unfortunate of a place that might be, it seemed that it was going to have to be that way.

Seeing how things were transpiring, fire now getting brought to the table, Dee felt it necessary to try to reduce the damage a bit. He held out his palms face up and concentrated for a moment as he poured some of his magical energy into the building in the hall. He used his power to force the sprinklers to work. Now, while he knew that this wouldn’t necessarily douse the fires completely, this was merely step one of the plans. Next, he reached his hand out toward the flesh body that had just recently caught fire, rending what cartilage and bone held it up from its form and fashioning it into a sharp lance. Next, he began to silent mumble a few words under his breath, the water that cascaded down around him began to settle around the lance as if suspended in mid-air over it. This was going to add propulsion and piercing power to his throw.

He chanted a second spell as he raised the spear, and a third as he did a skip-hop before launching it at the Angel. The second spell was a freezing spell for the water around the lance, and the third would turn the bone lance into an ice-bone lance. The moment it left his hand, it had the velocity of a cannon ball, his aim was just to the left side of Miklan and for the Angel’s chest.

------------------------------------

Sylvia had simply staggard back towards the other and away from the Angel and Miklan. She retreated even further back as the two began fighting and flames got involved. She was still trying to process all that she had heard and saw. The weird children weren’t helping her out any either. All of this, the moon, the destruction, the excessive loss of life, and now murderous angels and fighting against God. It was all a bit much for her to take in, so she simply stood by as water fell and magic happened.

"Great, I love riddles," He sarcastically remarked to the children as the children burn the contract. He never understood the universe and its need to make everything in James' life so difficult. the bright light created by the angel's arrival caused him to turn around to the sight of Raquel. James stared at the harbringer of judgement for a long awkward moment before he took a deep breath and shielded his eyes with one of his hands. "Geez could you turn down the light, why does divine power have to blind everyone within a two hundred meter radius?," He asked, more to himself than anyone, as he watches the events unfold with Miklan's arrival.

Once Raquel unleashed his blazing attack, which nearly hit him, James had enough. "Alright let's get this over with," He said as he held out his hand and a blue glowing sphere of his own soul essence materialized within his palm, the raw energy heating up the air around it, creating a shimmer effect. After a few moments the sphere grew to the size of a baseball. "eat this you walking lightbulb," He insulted the creature before throwing the ball of spiritual energy towards the angel's mid-section, like a pitcher would a baseball, having know idea if it'll work as it was his first time using his own body's energy as a weapon. He read in an old chinese book once, that when spiritual energy is effectively utilized, it becomes the ghost equivalent of plasma.

Tsubasa Hiroto stirs, woken by some kind of loud rumble. He sits up on the couch with a yawn, noticing that there was still not a soul in sight in this windowless lobby, and he assumed that he wouldn't find anyone else around either.
Maybe I died in that alley, thinks Tsubasa, and now I'm a ghost.
Tsubasa was fine with this outcome. He was fine with most outcomes, so long as he could keep doing the things that he liked to do, needed to do.
This mugging, the weird hospital were just setbacks. Of this he assured himself constantly, focusing one step at a time as he leaves the lobby. He decided the best thing he could do for now was look for somebody who could help him before these wounds got infected.
He headed down the hall and down a few floors to the ICU, which is just as empty as everywhere else Tsu had been. Down a few more floors to the food court.
What time was it, anyway? Every clock he passed seemed to show a different result.
He walks up to a vending machine, purchasing a coffee and rice crackers with a hundred and a half yen or so. Feeling a muffled boom a few floors below, he makes his way down to the lobby. There, he stops dead in his tracks.
Before him was a truly inconceivable sight. Two massive figures clash in battle, a horrible monster versus some sort of winged knight. Tsubasa feels sick to his stomach - but any thought he might have had is instantly obliterated as ceiling sprinklers drench him in frigid water. His nerves shrieked with adrenaline panic, but his body refused to move. His eyes are locked on the red bony creature as it dances jerkily around the room with its combatant. It takes a moment, but he notices other people here. One was shooting some sort of energy from his hand, which Tsu mistook for a lightning spell or something equivalent. It reminds him of the manga he reads, and tears begin to stream from his eye as he realizes that he'd take an ordinary, lonely life and death over this in an instant.
"I... died in that alley," he whispers. "But I'm in hell."

The girl in the wheelchair stared curiously at DeAndre as she tilted her head to keep the reaper in view. She didn't seem too bothered by the brutality and violence the Death God and Arch Angel shared. Her priority was on this particular reaper and potentially his thoughts as she seemingly began to answer the questions burning in his head.

"Do you really believe the angels are good? And who told you that? The angels or those that were told by the angels that they were good? Can I ask you mister, what the worst humans in history have said, when they absolutely destroyed innocent people? Did those people ever tell their followers that they were evil?"

This answer was simple but it depended on what DeAndre wanted to believe.

The child in the wheelchair was far from done though as she whispered a few more words.

"I can offer you the ability to see the last and walk in other people's shoes."

---

And within that moment, DeAndre watched as the world went dark. His vision changed as a figure apparated to his right. A bright halo shimmering behind the head of what appeared to be a woman as a cross carried the shining circle behind her. The figure was a well known one of the dead and she only went by one name within the underworld.

Izanami.

Another, floated to his left. Numerous arms, all of which, were carrying books that they periodically flipped through as this being seemed to keep tabs on each and every word that appeared on every single page. A rarity within the realm of the dead, this creature was one of few that was an angel. Not only that but one specifically created to be a God of Death by none other than the creator.

Azrael.

Each looked towards DeAndre as they awaited for what seemed to be an answer. Though the feeling DeAndre had was something remarkably different than what he was used too. He could feel his bones growing cold as well as a lack of warmth across his body. It wasn't until he realized that his hands were mere bones that he wasn't who he thought he was. He was no longer within the halls of t he hospital but in the realm of the dead and in one of the most sacred of places to the dead. It was where life had sprouted from and where it would all eventually end. This was a place where these God's would vote on crucial and important issues. Where conflicts were resolved and dangerous matters were handled.

DeAndre was not here as himself either. He was here as the last God of the Three and the final which needed little confirmation. As he looked down at his hands he could see the symbols of snakes carved upon his bones as well as feathers detailing his fingertips.

He was Miklan.

It was a strange feeling and he could feel the immense power that leaked from his fingertips. As finally one of the others began to break the silence.

"We have voted to ally ourselves with the Devil. It may be our only chance to succeed in bringing down the Creator. We are all certain that such an alliance will not last of course. Which is why we need to assure that you will commit to this with us. Having a third of our power gone will hinder us greatly. We have also been against replacing you. None of us would have existed if it weren't for wife. We wish to cooperate and we need you to fulfill your part."

Azrael looked over at Miklan as DeAndre watched as these events unfolded. Seeing from the Aztec God of Death's point of view he could feel the surprise Miklan felt over the entire situation. The mention of his wife seemed important and the idea that his lover had committed to the existence of the Reapers seemed genuine as the two looked upon Azrael. Though, a part of Miklan seemed grim as they began to voice their words towards the other two.

"I am amazed that an angel has voted against their creator. I never would have imagined seeing you as an ally. Nor expecting one day for you to be among us at this table. Though, Izanami has always been greedily ready to wage her revenge against God. I have remained one of the few who has voted against such actions. You both know what my wife had to accomplish to commit to our existence. I voted against this war countless times for that reason and even now, I do not wish to take in any part of such things. It will assure our destruction if the two of you continue on this war pa-"

"There is another vote I wish to have." Izanami cut in as she looked upon the pair with surprise. "It is in direction opposition to our existence but I believe it to be of utmost importance and something that shall solve numerous problems... It is also something which we have not done since the creation of this but what I believe requires to happen if these events are allowed to be unfolded...."

"Having a second vote is already something breaking tradition." Azrael replied as he raised an eyebrow.

Izanami wasted little time as she seemed to gain both of their approval as she spoke the next few words carefully.

"I wish to bring someone back from the dead. Of course, this is something difficult and life is not cheap but I believe my target for such an event is someone whom Miklan would agree too and even if Azrael chooses to decline, my answer would undoubtedly be for. We would need a sacrifice for such an event but I believe the Aztec God of Death would know what would suffice... Would that trade be enough to allow you on our side?" Izanami took a breath as her face remained hidden underneath the shadow that always seemed to cover her.

"I need an answer before we proceed."

---

The present suddenly rushed back as DeAndre found himself channeling his energy into this building. The hospital itself responded to the energy as it almost hungrily devoured it. The sprinklers began to react immediately as the fires began to quell down as the damage from the angel seemed to be minuscule at most. The establishment didn't appeared phased by much of the chaos as the two supernatural beings continued to go at one another as they were locked in direct combat.

DeAndre had finished creating his lance of flesh and bone as he recycled the mangled body for his weapon. The water turning to frost as he coated it with his makeshift spear as he prepared to launch his creation towards the Arch Angel. James had a similar idea as he created a sphere of plasma within his hands as it burned furiously within his palm.

The two were prepared and with their powers they proceeded to launch both of their weapons with incredible velocity towards the Angel of Justice himself.

Though, as the Angel watched they seemed overjoyed, eager even. Miklan noticed this and quickly tried to pull teh Angel from the oncoming projectiles but he was too late.

The Lance penetrated deep into the left side of the Angel's chest as the sphere melted its way through his abdomen as it burned its way though towards the other side.

This didn't seem to cripple the angel though and as Miklan had moved him his sword began to transform. The blade itself rotating and folding within itself as it began to create a new weapon entirely as it seemed to craft itself into a large hammer. As it finished her used all his might to smash the weapon into the ribs of the Death God as it cracked a few bones with an incredible amount of violence as Miklan collided into the wall of the hospital. Miklan didn't seem pleased as he pulled himself from the refuse and debris as he turned towards the other two. His fears were realized as he looked upon the two reapers who had attacked the angel.

DeAndre could feel a piercing shot from within his chest as it almost felt as if he were somehow impaled. Blood was leaking from the front of his chest and although Reaper's were incredible beings such a hit wasn't something that could be ignored. James suffered a similar fate as he could feel an intense burning on the left of his stomach as it had felt like something had literally set him on fire from the inside.

The Angel himself while suffering similar affects seemed overjoyed by the shared pain as he began to pull what appeared to be a scale from within his clothes.

"Justice. If you wish to kill me then you must pay for it. Do either of you really wish to take the killing blow against me?" He asked carefully as he looked upon the other reaper's carefully. "You all worship death but when it asks this of you, would you actually commit to any of it?" The Angel questioned them all as they were a bloody and mangled mess but this creature was nothing of what was often portrayed in religion or history. They seemed committed to serve their purpose and if that meant death they appeared to gladly give to it.

Would any of the Reapers be so eager?

Raquel looked over as he realized a new arrival had come. The person seemed terrified from the situation and the fear was apparent all over his face. The Arch Angel seemed to be done with all of this and decided that since they had truly seen their face it was time for them to be ended.

He gripped the hammer that remained within his hand and raised it behind his shoulder before lurching forward. The weapon launched with ferocity as it spun wildly in the air and was aiming straight towards Tsubasa.

"We need to split the pain!" Miklan cursed as he quickly created a pillar of bone underneath Tsubasa as he was launched into the air. The hammer proceeded to shatter the bone as Tsubasa was hurled into the floor.

"You two! Do something!" Miklan ordered as he began to heal his bones as he demanded both Victoire and Sylvia to be involved as the Angel began to remove the lance from his body as an excess amount of blood began to fall into the ground.

Things were only ramping up and it would be time for all of them to commit something into this fight. It would be the Arch Angel against them all and they all would need something to sacrifice if they wished to win this fight.

Miklan was a God of sacrifices but what would these people give?

James looked down at his stomach, even though he didn't have any flesh, he could still feel the pain. It took every ounce of will power not to yell in agony. James was used to pain, but this was something else entirely. It felt like someone was holding a red hot iron inside his belly and there was nothing he could do to stop it. "Damn it, I- I should've known a mindless angel would use such an u- underhanded tactic." He leaned against the wall and watched the battle. Attempting to figure out a way to heal the wound.

It wasn't until Miklan barely held back the angels' attack against Tsubasa did James jump back into the fray. He slid over to Tsubasa and dragged him away from the angel so he could have time to recover from the attack. Painfully running over to Miklan and in range of the angels' attacks, he looked up at the angel with a determined glare while holding his damaged side. "I'm willing to do anything just to kill this bastard," He spat, sending a fist charged with what remaining energy he had towards the angels' scale. He knew he would probably lose that hand but he was willing to do anything just to one-up the judge of god.

Tsubasa, on the contrary, does nothing to hide his pain. Startled as he's suddenly flung upwards, he cries out as he crashes back down into the floor. His face stings, the impact reopening his wounds, and he curls up into a ball. Somebody grabs his leg and drags him roughly across the floor before dropping him to walk away.
Why me? he pleads to a deaf god. Please make it stop, make it stop.
Opening his eyes, blurred by tears, he reaches out to claw and the carpet ahead, trying his damnedest to crawl away. He heard voices talking, but tuned them out. He had to get out of here - apocalypse be damned. Glancing over his shoulder, Tsu pales as he sees an angel raising its hammer up, malicious eyes locked with his. He scrambles to his feet and stumbles forward, hearing wood splinter behind him as something strikes where he was an instant ago. He hurries through the door he entered through, slamming it behind him and nearly running into a placid looking child with lace dress.
"Chisana on'nanoko!" he says, startled. His voice wavers with stress. "You need to get out of here!"
