The Dark Prince.

When Anna got to her room, she realized how she mustive looked in his eyes

"Pitiful!" she spat as a maid behind her loosened her corset

"I stood there... and gazed up at him like.. like he was the sun" She continued her tirade as

another maid drew her bath

"Princess he probably didnt even notice! you said he was talking on about the garden and such

Maybe he didnt even think of the possibility that you could ever be-"

The princess turned around "Ever be what exactly?"

Both maids looked at each other giggling and blushing

"What!?" Anna went on.

"That you might have been.. being flirtatious with him"

Annas cheeks began to blush once more as the crown was taken off her head, the maid pulled one single lace in her bun, and her

Hair flowed graciously down to the middle of her back.

"He probably thinks Im a whore" She said softly

Both maids turned towards her "Dont you say it madame! your no where near that.. its just you have

just gotten out of a boarding school.. filled with girls.. you see a charming man of course you'll act that way"

The older maid said as Anna was helped into the giant tub..

"You sure?" She said turning back to them as the both began their exit

"Of course.. but from now on it might be wise to.. let the man do the chasing..

assuming that he can chase at all the princess of Romania" The maid winked at her smiling as she walked out, the younger one

following behind her.

Anna sighed looking out her window from the tub.. The rain began to fall clashing against the glass

She closed her eyes slowly and began to soak.

Ethan walked along and around the isolated castle grounds by himself quietly, soaking in the rainfall. A new age had begun, a new revolution he had created in less than a decade. Surely enough he was impressed with himself. He had done something not even a King could do in his term, and he had ruled for two decades while Ethan, had changed Romania in less time. A devious smile tugged on on the corner of his lips, he was just a better ruler than that worthless King. So much better.

"You are an evil man." a chilling deep voice spoke through the darkness, the wind blew a violent wave of wind as he spoke. Ethan turned to see the brother, the same man who begged with the King at the throne room earlier. He looked a lot more stressed and tired than this morning, and not to mention dirtier, wet, his white dress shirt was stained with road dirt and his coat was ripped and torn. He looked at Ethan disdainfully as he emerged into the moonlight "You kill innocent men."

Ethan looked at him ridiculously, amazed at what he was seeing front of him. Was this for real? This man was foolish, he dared to show up alone in front of him with no guards or any such watching them. Here in the dark night, with moonlight shining overhead "Innocent? Your brother stole fruit. Tell me, what is so innocent about that sort of intention?"

"You kill people who sin the slightest! Even people who don't deserve death! You---"

Before the man continued to point out his opinions, Ethan took him down swiftly and silently with a sharp, handcrafted silver dagger with a blade that was pointed and vicious, with a thick, inanimate silver snake with jeweled ruby eyes, wrapped around it's hilt for a handle. He stabbed the man in the chest with ease, with his other hand covering the mouth to stop him from talking "That's enough, from you." Ethan said quietly, pulling out his dagger smoothly out of the man's chest, his blade now covered in liquid crimson, thick and rich. He looked at the man he had killed, then at the dagger, licking the blood off the blade as he watched the man's horrified face as he fell to his death. The blood tasted good, sweet, creamy, and full of flavour --- especially with the fact that he slayed it with his own hands "Rest now, human."

He dragged the body to the part of the land where the castle stood on in which where an abyss was located beside a bridge. He lifted the body with one hand, looking at it, admiring his work before taking out an empty flask from his pockets and filled a small but generous amount of blood from the man's chest before tossing the corpse into the abyss as if he were throwing trash. He paid his attention to the flask in his hands that was filles with blood, it was another one for his supply -- another addition.

He sealed with a cork, pocketing it into his soaked trousers "This night is not too bad. It's my era, it has begun." he murmured, making his way into the castle to retire into his chambers. The blood of his dagger was washed by the rain, leaving it shining it's steel in the moonlight --- ready for another kill.

Anna was holding a baby in her arms.. she was tired and her hair stuck to her neck with sweat

as she lay in a bed.

The doors opened and the same 2 maids who cared for her now, bowed to a man, she couldnt see his face..

He sat next to her on the bed.. and she held the baby to him "You have a son" She said with much emphasis and exhaustion.

"Yes.. my son.. " The dark figure said, holding the baby who had pale skin much like his own.. but he was warm unlike the

cold fingers which brushed her own hands as he took the baby gently from her arms"

"A new generation has begun"The mans smirked down at the child

"I heard terrible screams.. the sons of men.. screaming in pain" Anna whispered

But his attention was on the baby who held its arms up, playing with the mans bronze colored locks

The man was wearing her fathers crown.

"The screams of men? You were dreaming" He concluded in a single breath still admiring the child in his arms.

"But it was too real.." She continued

"You were dreaming.. you believe me.. dont you?" He spat, as his eyes turned a devilish red.

******************

Anna woke up in a cold sweat, breathing hard and feeling her body, making sure she was alive..

"A dream.." She said softly, her voice full of relief as she gazed out her window.. then sun was comming up..

There was a knock at her door

"Princess? I hope your awake darling.. we must get you ready.. A big day you have planned"

A maids voice said brightly.

Anna, still catching her breath did not respond, only sat there in silence thinking about the dream..

she shook her head and resided from her covers.. to her door where she let her maid inside.

"The bookseller is here, Earl."

Ethan looked up from writing, as a one of his stiff looking soldiers entered his study. The man stood still like a statue, his eyes were darted towards somewhere where it avoided his Chief's gaze. A courtesy, a soldier's form of respect. With Ethan's sharp hearing, he manages to hear a soft scoff emerge from thr right side of his doorway, from the way it was produced, it was soft and feminine. "It's Lady Morgana, you scum. LADY!" a woman's voice exclaimed as she appeared at Ethan's door.

Morgana was of gothic motif, her dress was black with generous layers of ruffles filling the back side, with it's trim rising up to around her thighs and down back on the floor, investing most of it fabrics there. She wore black stockings underneath her dress, with pointy heeled shoes fitted in her feet. She glared at the soldier with her dark, pale yellow eyes that was much feline-like, surrounded with dark lines around her eyes that stood out because of her pale complexion; her short black hair resting above her shoulders. She was stunning. On her hands she carried a seemingly heavy wooden crate that seemed to hook on a few strands of thread from her dress due to her lifting.

38-532.jpg

"Just because I'm a bookseller..." she grumbled lowly, adjusting her lift with the crate and huffing "Doesn't mean I lose my status as a lady." Morgana was called many names, most of them were "dirty", "inappropriate", "disgrace" and "un-ladylike". It was all due because of the way she dressed and looked, for women in their time wore dresses that didn't show any leg, for showing it was highly tabooed --- much in contrast to hers in which where leg was a feature.

"Good, you arrived early." Ethan acknowledged, eyeing Morgana as he tipped his writing tool down to his table and rested both of his hands down the sufrace. "Close the door after you leave, Victor." he told the soldier firmly, who bowed and departed the room right after Morgana made her entrance.

"Of course, anything for you Ethan." Morgana said in a slightly flirtatious manner, biting her lip quietly as she settled down the crate on his table. She admired his face for moment, before settlig the books down his table "Here, your books." she told him, settlig down about six books stacked neatly on his desk. There was nothing left in the crate, at least it looked like it until Morgana lift up the wood covering the bottom of the crate --- which was filled with neatly placed flasks filled with human blood, sealed with a cork to keep freshness "And your blood."

Morgana wasn't only a bookseller, but also a vampire. She was a person who helped Ethan survive in Romania, and for her cooperation -- he transformed her in her brink of death when she was accused for a witch. She was a witch though, an apparentice when he had met her --- but now a full and dangerous witch to meddle with. Ethan wasn't afraid though, he knew his way around her. Being a vampire, she doesn't blush at the sight of Ethan unlike common women do, she sees him as a normal and good looking man, since she was a vampire and could look past the illusions. A resistance.... Somewhat.

"Perfect, I was running out." Ethan said as he stood up, takig out the flasks one by one to look at the blood, still thick, dark and fresh. He uncorked one and drank it straight, one vial would fill him for a day, two would fill him for a week and three -- which was equal to all the blood in a dead human, would fill him for a month. The blood felt and tasted good, it was thick and warm as it slowly flowed down his throat, tasting sweet as delicacy and flavourful as food.

Morgana watching him feast "I can't keep doing this you know, your men are getting suspicious.... Since I always lurk around the execution sight for dead men's blood..."

Ethan gave her a look, licking his lips idly to taste the left over blood that might have stayed on his lips. His fangs slightly showed when he consumed, and shortened as quickly as the substance entered his system. "Are you refusing the wealth I bless you for this job?" he asked her, his pale, ringed fingers cleaned the empty flask with a damp towel that was along the crate.

"No... But you know, I have a good life now and---"

"Worry not, I have them in my grasp. Plus they know you as a Death Inspector." Ethan said as he picked up the crate with ease, and walked to the room behind his study -- a secret room that had required seven keys for seven locks. It was a unique mechanism, the locks were custom-made. Unless you were the one who had them made, you won't know in which order the locks shouod be unlocked. Inside, was a room full of weapons, flasks, and flasks of blood. On the walls were a list of people he needed to slay in order to get his kingdom, so far --- almost halfway the list was crossed out.

He was almost there.

Morgana frowned, watching him lock the seven locks with amazing speed and precision that was equal to locking a single lock. He placed it's keys in his study drawer, and sat back down. "Death Inspector? That is unfitting." she scowled, folding her arms; her cat-like yellow eyes studied his study, which was way different than her last visit "It's seemed you are stepping up, achieving goals are we?"

"I'm close." Ethan replied, nonchalant. Then he looked at his pocketwatch, it was almost after noon -- he had an appointment with Anna, for that tour of the city. He rose from his seat, looking at Morgana as he pocketed his bronze timepiece "I must depart, the King tasked me to take his daughgter around the Kingdom."

Morgana's eyes widened, her face held slight jealousy as she searched Ethan's face for any sign of affection at the mention of the King's daughter, but it was hard to tell. "The princess?" she asked, placing a hand on his chest to stop him from moving further.

"Yes, who else?"

"You seem bold, and determined." Morgana said, playing with his tie thoughtfully -- changing back to her flirtatious ways with him, in which Ethan was oblivious with. She bit her lip, lowering her gaze to admire his clothed chest "Just because you know that even if you fail, it's hard to kill a vampire."

"I will not fail." Ethan said, walking past her but she followed quickly behind him, and as they headed out of his study -- they parted in different ways, Morgana back to the city gates, and he to the carriages. He had a princess to escort.

As the princess strolled down the hall with 2 guards and a maid, she fixed her cuffs while whispering

"I had a nightmare last night"

The maid does a double take of her to make sure the princess was addressing her

then she leans in "About what?"

Anna shrugged, she felt uncomfortable.. the dream was too real. Almost like a vision

"I had a son" She said bluntly

The maid was blushing fiercely "Are you sure it was a nightmare then?"

Princess Anna stopped before they got outside of the main hall, where her father and the carriages waited

"Carry on" She said softly but firmly to the two men who looked at each other then walked on.

"Mary... the father of my son wore my fathers crown" Her face was pale now, serious.

"Naturally he would" Mary said shrugging, she was so happy go lucky,

It almost annoyed Anna.

Anna glanced out to her father and then took Mary by the collar a few feet more around the corner

"Mary.. The only way for a man to wear my fathers crown.. is for my father to die or for my father to renounce his position - which he wouldn't

.. then I remember.. you and another maid were bowing to him.. He had to have been in great power.. he was king" Anna reassured herself nodding

and looking at the maid eagerly

"It was just a dream love.. lets not stress over it" Mary said with a smile

Annas eyes widened "Mary! it was too real.. like a vision"

Before she could finish her father met her around the corner "My love! you have all the time in the world to whisper about with the

maids.. come! Ethan will be here soon" The king said pulling her along cheerfully. Anna took one last look at the maid before going along with her father.

(LOL. I'm late. The weather here is cold wet, busses were slow .__.)

As Ethan walked on, Morgana's words stung him. Failure. Morgana told him that he could fail to get what he wants, he was so high up already but her words irked him, made him fall down on his knees. He wasn't angry at her though, witches had a way to press on warnings and premonitions -- it was only natural to hear those sorts of things from her. But it irked him, made him rethink of possible outcomes, plans, and ways. It was haunting him.

"Curses." he muttered lowly under his breath, shifting conciously in every step his fine leathered shoes took him. He had to clear his head, he had a princess to escort. If he worried too much, he would get distracted and reckless. It was best to let it be for now, today was going to be a ridiculously long day.

As he turned left, he ran into the King and Anna. He looked at the scene in front of him with his pale blue eyes, the King was cheerful for once. His mood was lifted in an incredible manner, from his lazy aura there was something bright about it -- something he never had seen in his face before. It was unusual in a way, for the King's eyes smiled brightly as his mouth did. Wrinkling his face in a greater degree, due to the muscles that he pulled to conjure that happy face. "Ah, Your Highness." Ethan said, bowing in discretion. Tilting his head slightly, he trailed with his eyes where Julius' aged hands grasped on -- which was an arm of soft, fair, and smooth complexion.

Anna.

He tilted his head lower again "And Your Highness." he said, acknowledging Anna's presence before fixing his posture and stood straight in front of the humans of royal blood; his voice was smooth and cool, it felt like a lullaby in one's ears. His eyes lingered on Anna for a moment, before turning to the King "I was departing for the carriages... Assuring that everything is set and perfect for the Princess."

( LOL its okay :) )

Anna blushed only slightly at his words.. even though she was bothered by much

As a princess it was her duty to act like everything was okay. To be the morning and the evening star

She sighed and curtsied "good morning".

The king gave her arm to Ethans " I have much to atend to this evening and with you I trust she's in good hands"

And with that the king dissappeared

bronze locks..

She thought as she stared at her escort.. she dismissed it

Nightmares are nothing but nightmares

As soon as their arms linked together, Ethan turned to her and gave her a small smile. His eyes were glazed, and can remind one of the sky. Giving one a relaxing sensation, a vision of a good climate -- a happy day. In reality although, everything about him was a trap. An illusion. Created to lure, fool, and hunt. Though he may do it unintenionally, that would be out of his hand. "A good morning, isn't it?" he told her as two soldiers opened the door of the courtyard, where a black carriage, piloted by a footman wearing a dusty-grey coat and white trousers who held onto the ropes attached to a pure white horse who anyone could say, belonged to someone royal.

He helped up Anna into the carriage, with him giving a nod to the footman before following behind her. He sat opposite of her, a way in which where his back was against the wall in between the driver and the carriage interior. He looked to the window at the side, "I'd love to say you're in good hands..." he said, watching as two horsemen -- his soldiers, riding on black horses that followed behind the carriage in moderate paces "...but theree's an uncertainty." he continued, leaning on his seat and letting his eyes feast on Anna's as a small smirk formed on his thin lips; their carriage started moving at the sound of the footman's whip.

An incredible uncertainty.

there's an.. uncertainty?

She repeated in her head as she watched the small smirk develop on his lips

She decided to ignore it looking out the curtain to the rural part of the kingdomt they were about to emerge into as they dissappeared

Out of the gates of the castle

She smiled a little looking away from him to her hands which rested in her lap

"I have no worries. I am a princess and harm is something unlikely"

She lied. Sure it was unlikely

But that didn't mean she wasn't afraid

Ethan leaned towards her, his balance, perfect even on an unevenly moving carriage "Of course." he told her in a hushed, low voice that sounded like an irresistible seduction as his cool breath blew against her skin.

The carriage stopped, the sound of the footman jumping down his seat was heard. The sound of shoes hitting against the slightly rough land and Ehtan heard shoes moving towards their door and opened it with a smooth creak of mechanisms. The footman smiled at both of them as Ethan turned, but fear and respect stayed on his eyes as he looked upon Ethan, but relaxed as his orbs reached to the princess "Here we are. Earl and Princess."

Ethan stepped out of the carriage in a way as if he was gliding down the steps, his feet were lifted as if they were made of air. His dark blue tailcoat flowing against the mild wind as he turned towards the princess, outstrecthing a pale hand towards her, smiling ever so innocently and beautifully. His bronze locks swayed against the wind in a dramatic manner. "From here it shall be on foot, Your Highness. It's an ideal way to connect to the peasants in your father's Kingdom."

My kingdom, actually.

Anna hesitated a moment, but she took his hand as he helped her out of the carriage

It was a hot day, and so she wore a dress that was slim fitting, a Royal blue with a black belt tied loosely around her waste

hinting to the silhouette of her beautiful figure.

Her crown placed perfectly on her head and her hair floring freely down her back

stunning.

She complimented The blue Ethan was wearing very well

He was so smooth.. he was..

Too smooth..

She couldn't help but to be engulfed in it..

She smiled and waved at peasants who smiled back

One imparticular, who seemed a bit mad came to her feet kissing them over and over

"long live princess Anna!!" He screamed,

Anna blushed slightly but didnt have time to thank him, as one of Ethan's soldiers threw the man back into the crowd

"Im so sorry" She said to the man as she was pulled along

That was a bit unnecessary..

she thought to herself as they walked on

Ethan paid no emotion at this, instead he gave one of his men a glare. A glare that the soldiers knew too well, a glare that told them to kill the man silently and quickly, that the princess would not notice. He didn't need men like that staying in this world, what the man did was extremely direspectful and rude. Nobles, and royals are only to be touched by fellows alike -- never peasants. Death is a price he gives to all, impulsively and thoughtlessly. The soldier nodded, pressing on the hilt of his blade as he dove into the busy crowd in search of the man.

Ethan led the princess on, diverting her attention towards the other people that started to arrive. All of them had their eyes on the princess, happy and welcoming, although they were stiff, behaved, because they knew the Chief -- Ethan, was accompanying her. He spotted Morgana standing in front of her antique-looking bookshop, that had a scratched green signboard hanging above her door with the words 'Vetus Bookshop' which was latin for 'The Old Bookshop' written in bronze metal letters. She was wearing the very same clothes she had this morning, but now with a black rose hairpiece with a sheer veil that lay slant, and covered half of her face. On her hands were a stack of books, resting by her chest; her yellowish eyes looked at Ethan and the princess, a tinge of jealousy present in her subtle orbs.

"Ah, Morgana." Ethan said a plain manner, digging down his pockets and took out a red pouch full of gold coins -- placing it on top of her stack of books "For your services."

Morgana bowed, playing her part as a 'bookshop-dealer-sort-of-peasant'. Managing to do so without making the things she carried fall off her hands "It's a pleasure to give the Earl good books to read, next month I'll be sending you my newest shipments. Are you partial to the humour genre?"

"Slight, but send them all the same." he waved at her, shrugging. Morgana bowed again, giving a curt nod to the princess who followed quietly behnd him. Her eyes lingered on Ethan again, trying to sense if he had any sort of affection towards Anna. Pursing her lips, she stood still on her ground -- civility, civility in presence of the royal breed.

After a few paces, Ethan looked to Anna "Is there any place, you specifically wish to visit? Or person?"

Anna was a woman, and therefore she understood a glance of jealousy when she seen one

However she paid it barely any attention as Ethan asked her about wishing to see anyone or anything

"Actually.. yes I would like to go visit an old friend.. he lives just there" She said softly pointing

towards a beautiful stone building, that looked more like a church.

As she approached it however, the door opened and a serious man emerged. He wore all black and

People past by out of respect bowed their heads to him

He was a head priest in the city and he looked as if he had been expecting them.

He glanced at Ethan, then the guards and finally on the princess, a smile cracked across his face as he brung her in for a hug

"Come.. " He said bringing her in, He looked back at the soldiers and Ethan

"I suppose you as well" He said rushing them inside before they had a chance to say no.

The place was filled with candles, a picture of Santa maria painted on the wall in front of them was holding a baby jesus.

Anna smiled walking towards the alter.. "Its magnificent" She whispered as she knelt down in front of the painting softly

The priest looked back at the soldiers and Ethan "Need I ask you? Kneel" He ordered looking at Ethan and slightly smirking

"Before God."

(Church minus people inside)

This will teach his ass !!! BWAHAHAHA! mean bastard! lol.<3

(OMG. I was just thinking about this! Anna visiting a church, I mean :O)

Ethan was rushed in by the man dressed in black, of course he had nothing to hold against him -- he was the princess' friend, therefore, best behaviour should be managed. He went along with this charade, till he realized where he was. He was in church. The church was wide, big, and well structured. It's interiors held holy images of God, in portaits, colourful stained glass that was shone through the window, and statues of angels that stood on leveled foundations.

"What are you doing here?" a hushed voice of a child whispered in his ear, echoing from the west of the church. He felt the voice trail away slowly, as if flying invisibly around him. Angels. Angels always haunted him whenever he stepped inside a holy place, protecting their ward, their sanctuary, from people like him. Filling his ears with unbearable whispers to drive him away.

"You dare to step in our holy sanctuary, vampire. You feast in blood of men, you have slain many, kept none. The damned..."

Ethan's head twitch slightly at the whispers he heard, he was going to tolerate it for as long as he could carry. He will not let God ruin him, never. He will win against him, he can win against God. He had defied him already, his commandments, his teachings -- everything. If he can defy, he can defeat. He looked at the man dressed in black, he was a priest. A man of God.

His face darkened, his eyes turned blood red in anger for a moment before retaining back his blue orbs, curse him.

"Why do you stay? Why do you stay? Leave us be, vampire. Leave our home."

He looked at the priest stoicly, thinking of many reasons to avoid kneeling before God. He never ever kneel before this entity, His time with God was gone, for centuries -- kneeling was against his pride. But needs not to be found out, not now, not today, he had plans, he had dreams to fulfill and a kingdom to rule. Ethan opened his mouth to recite his concluded excuse, only to be interrupted by one of his men who appeared at the doorway. "Earl, a situation is at hand outside. The troops need your assistance."

Ethan paused "Very well." he turned back, giving a warning glare to the priest, then averting his gaze to Anna "Stay here." he instructed to her as he turned away from both of them, walking to the doors to leave the premises and Anna, along with the priest.

"Stray away from here, stray away. Wisdom be your wit, shy us away from your devious ways and we shall stay in our place."

Ethan clenched his fists, he was more than happy to leave.

As soon as the men left the priest took Anna by her hands, kneeling down with her in front of Santa Maria.

"Anna... A darkness has fallen over the castle..."

He whispered, silently thanking the angels, as he could tell they had done justice to the demon

though by god, he was not allowed to utter the truth, but only give hints...

"What do you mean Father?" She said to the priest, worry sketched on her face

"The man.. Ethan... Where is he from? what does he do?"

The priest asked in a hurry, for it was him who made sure a distraction went on outside.

Anna was taken back a moment as she listened to the priest

"Hes the chief.. well, starting today he is the lord over the land.. The people respect him..

saying he has justice done.. Some call him the Messiah" She said looking out the doors of which Ethan left

in some what of a daze thinking of his charm and smoothness, until the priest shook her

"No child! He ..... have you had any dreams?.. Nightmares?"

Anna thought for a moment.. "One.."

The priest put his hand up "You mustn't tell me... you will give yourself to him.. or he will take you"

The priest looked her straight into her eyes. Anna shook her head "who Father? what are you speaking of?

he is a good man.."

The priest stared at the open doors "I will take you tonight.. quickly.. I am soon to take

the secret to my grave... you meet me at 12:00.. "

Before he finished the guards came in and he stood regaining composure. Anna slowly stood as well

still looking at the priest in disbelief.

A soldier appeared at the doorway, bowing at the presence of the princess. He shyed away his weapon in the presence of the Lord "Your Highness, the situation outside has become to much of a commotion. The Earl sends for you, and I will safely escort you through the disturbance while the Earl mantains the crowd outside to give you a safe journey to the carriage.

He looked to the priest, then to the princess "Whenever you are ready."

"You wear this... Ill come for you in the night"

The priest whispered in her ear

"I am fine.. there is nothing wrong.. I dont need saving" She continued

"So you think.. now go" The priest shooed her softly

The princess stands looking at the priest one last time before leaving him

her skin pale now, she blinks a couple of times as she is escorted to the carriage quickly

She holds the cross around her neck tightly

Still not fully understanding exactly what has happened

The soldier dragged her gently through the violent crowd, it was unexplainable how or why it started but it was the crowd -- the religious cults, against the royal troops who defended themselves with their swords, refusing to attack the civillians and held a defensive stance instead.

Ethan was amongst that crowd, and he was the one who stood out the most. His face held no emotion as he tolerated all the attacks that came at him, deflecting it effortlessly and precisely.

A violent civillian managed to go through their man-made, defensive barrier with his metal bar almost slashing the princess. But Ethan's hand deflected it as quickly, and with such inhuman force, throwing them man back into the crowd.

He looked at Anna for a moment, realizing a difference surrounding her. A holy aura engulfed her, and it prevented him in coming too much closer to her. There was something, a protective ward covered her. He frowned, it must be because of that priest. He knew what he was, and he must've hinted her things.

His gaze swept to the church, cursing it silently in anger.

Damn them.

He looked at the troop who escorted the princess "Send her to the Castle, tell the King I will return with the horsemen before dusk." He commanded strictly, his authority powered into his tone. Lies were ideal, it was the best he could make to not make it obvious he was forbidden to come close to her.

He gave Anna a look before running back into the crowd, and at the far distance Morgana watched the commotion go on before her eyes. Her lips moving in fast motions, muttering words under her breath -- casting protective wards to Ethan and his troops, and spells to calm the vile crowd.

This was a horrible day, no -- a warning... Of a possible downfall.

The guards rushed threw the crowd of rayals out in the courtyard, bringing Anna to her father, The king looked angry

Almost humiliated.

"How did this happen? everything was supposed to be under control! had my daughter not been with the priest

she mightve surely been caught in the fire"

His voice echoed loudly

A soldier glanced at the other guards then took a step forward.

"You majesty... It is rumored that the witch might have caused this.. she was muttering things and whispering away"

David, knowing Morgana was close to his friend stood "No your majesty! the priest Anna was with.. It is rumored he started this war

and if Ethan would not have come when he came.. the battle would have been more brutal"

The king paced and rubbed his head "I shall not tolerate this not anymore.. damn the priest!" He yelled snatching the cross from

around Annas neck

"We are protestant! not catholic child! and I thought I made that clear to your nun... she deserves to be hung, FIND HER"

"Father!" she whined but the king gave her a glare that quieted her "You go to that book store.. and that church.. burn them both to the ground

with that damned wench and that priest inside!" He ordered the guards

"Father!" She tried to run after her father but the guards took her held her gently.

"Your not being reasonable!" She yelled to him, but he had dissapeared with some of the nobles.

Anna snatched away from the guards and rushed towards another Exit

she didnt give a damn about the witch.. but the priest.. was like a second father to her.
