SUBJECT: Dissolution of the Avengers Initiative

Pertaining to the orders and wishes of Nicholas J Fury, the former Director of S.H.I.E.L.D, I have released this memorandum to inform all employees of the passing of the Avengers. Through these trying times, we have not only lost Earth's greatest heroes, but many of our own as well. If you are reading this, then that means you, an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D have managed to escape the clutches of HYDRA. I commend your efforts and wish to convey my sincere gratitude for your service. Now that the Avengers have fallen, there is no longer a suitable defense against this threat and I urge all who have successfully found safety to stay hidden. While the notion of rebuilding a better, more morally correct organisation is a warming concept, I have the utmost confidence that those days are behind us. Stay hidden, stay safe, stay strong.

HYDRA won. Two of the three Helicarriers from project Insight were destroyed, but one was stolen - stolen and taken back to Germany where HYDRA made certain improvements to the craft. It could not only identify the DNA of all S.H.I.E.L.D personnel but also the Avengers. Prepared to wage war between Germany and America, HYDRA began targeting the Avengers and those they loved; and after these incessant advances, the heroes finally fell. Though with that being said, Thor Odinson was the last remaining avenger and with a final feat, he brought down HYDRA's helicarrier but unfortunately lost his life in the process.​

Present Day,

You were once an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. You loved your organisation and would gladly lay your life down to protect your planet. Whether you were a technician, a field operative or merely an assistant, you joined S.H.I.E.L.D for a reason. So understandably, after you learned of HYDRA's infiltration, you were shocked and found it difficult to trust those around you. The people you worked with could have been HYDRA, or you could have been a double agent that realised the error of your ways - either way, you're with the good guys now.

So after escaping the downfall of S.H.I.E.L.D and escaping the helicarrier attacks earlier in the year [2016] you're surprised to find yourself waking up inside of a machine. You don't recognise the contraption and outside of the sole, small port hole, you see a myriad of men and women in lab coats staring at you. Are they the good guys or the bad guys? You don't know, but you know one thing, and that is that you want out. However, the scientists clearly have other plans and as the machine begins to whir and make a rather disheartening sound, you feel your body becoming imbued with a powerful feeling; something so strong and overwhelming that the sheer pain of this procedure kills you.​

Unbeknownst to you, you have been selected to be a guinea pig in an experimental procedure that endows ordinary people with abilities. You are not a monster, or a mutant but a hero. Everything should feel amazing and you should be over the moon, but you aren't; and that's because you've just been given the strength and abilities of a dead avenger. Yes, these scientists have identified you as a former S.H.I.E.L.D agent, kidnapped you and given you the abilities of one of the greatest heroes to ever live. But there's one question, who did you get?

Powers
After gaining several of Thor's abilities, Carling also had access to his hammer, Mjolnir. The scientists must have somehow contained it for a lengthy period of time until Thor's abilities were granted to an agent; this is also how Carling can fly.​

• Enhanced Strength - Carling is much stronger now that she has the abilities of Thor. She can wield Mjolnir because she is now deemed worthy but is also able to combat threats much larger than herself - though not as powerful as Thor [due to her still being a mortal] she can definitely hold her own.​
• Stamina - Carling's stamina has greatly increased and now she can move with increased flexibility and attempt maneuvers that would otherwise be tiring for an ordinary human.​
• Durability - After being bestowed with the power of Thor, Carling's durability has greatly increased.​
• Speed - After gaining Thor's abilities, Carling can move much faster via running as well as flying.​
• Weather Control - With the hammer, Mjolnir, Carling is able to control the weather and summon high winds, thunder and lightening.​

Abilities​

• Martial Artist - As she was a field operative for many years, Carling has become an efficient combatant. Much like Natasha, she can execute complicated maneuvers and use the environment to her advantage.​
• Gun Specialist - Due to S.H.I.E.L.D training, Carling has become proficient in the knowledge and use of firearms.​

Weakness'

• Exhaustion - Despite gaining control of Thor's abilities, Carling is still just a human. She can use Mjolnir but after extended periods times / controlling the weather, she grows increasingly weak.
• Mortality - Carling did not inherit Thor's Asgardian physiology and therefore will not live longer than the average human, cannot heal, is subject to tiredness [despite gaining enhanced stamina] and can definitely be killed in all of the same ways that a human can.

Personal Background | Biography
​

Carling Broadmoore is the daughter of a drunk and a waitress, who were brutally murdered on Christmas Day, seven years ago. Many have suspected that it was Carling herself, but she knows that it was her brother. Having been raised by him until she was old enough to leave, she has a very warped sense of what is right and wrong; something that has been exploited by S.H.I.E.L.D many times. Needless to say that Carling has developed a distaste for Houston and has not returned since leaving, and after finishing college, she was recruited to S.H.I.E.L.D. Now estranged from her brother, Carling lived and breathed the organisation whilst building up a successful and impressive rapport with the company; especially since she was branded as an agent who has no issues with crossing any kind of line.​

At the beginning of her career, Carling struggled with the physical part of training and was the worst in all of her 'fight' classes. Though after putting in a number of hours and practicing non-stop, Carling managed to succeed and graduated fourth out of her class; it was because of this that Carling was granted field operative status and she departed on her first mission weeks later.​

A year after missions and assassinations, Carling met Agent Thomas Haxling, an accomplished spy in his own right. The two were partnered on a mission to steal a lot of intel from a foreign spy agency and something about almost being killed together allowed them to create a unique bond. They had each other's back and excelled as a team, even qualifying to run a mission with Romanoff and Barton a few years later.​

Though that mission was also the one that saw Thomas trapped inside a building that was the target for an airstrike. Carling had attempted to save him but was far too late and suffered a broken leg, arm and shattered ribs because of it. She had loved Thomas and since they had been dating at the time, it was especially difficult for Carling to get over it. This somewhat contributed to her distrust of other agents, since it was Barton that had left Haxling in favour of avoiding the enemy.​

Q: After the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D in 2014, where did you go and what have you been doing since?
A: Carling immediately left for Arizona, the birthplace of her late boyfriend, Thomas Haxling. Since he is deceased, she deemed it a safe location. For the most part she has been safe but has had to deal with the odd HYDRA agent now and again - especially those she had pissed off/ranked on missions. Since then she has been living a somewhat secluded life, and rarely goes outside - though after being thrown out of a SUV, she knows that she cannot go back to Thomas' home.

Q: Now that you have these new abilities, do you think you'll be able to control them?
A: Carling will struggle greatly with controlling her abilities, especially since she has always stepped back from objects and people of unknown origin; her views on normal are very and white and much prefers a gun over the ability to shoot lightening. Part of Carling will not want to control her abilities but after seeing what she can do with them, her attitude will most likely change.

Q: What's your first priority? Taking down HYDRA with your powers or taking revenge against the scientists?
A: As much as Carling hates HYDRA, she hates the scientists more. She wants to get rid of her abilities and return to being normal again - especially since having enhanced strength makes ordinary life difficult. She wants to learn what they did to her and demand that they undo it.

French and Vietnamese are his most fluent languages that he knows by heart.
He was taught to speak 'Common languages' like Spanish and Chinese. Spanish was actually his third main language, but growing up had forgotten how to speak it, slowly losing the ability before being re-taught again.

Learning new languages would be easy for him and he would be able to speak it almost fluently if he studies hard enough in order to speak it. But the occasion highly depends and he'll forget right after.
Example: If he's sent to a mission to Korea by SHIELD, Jon will study the language and practice in order to carry on his task. But once the task is finish, he'll forget almost immediately. Just give him a full day or two of not talking in Korean and he'll merely remember bits of it. Like his favorite sentence or word in Korean and that's it. The rest will be lost.

Sure, he is stronger and much more skillful then the average human, however it doesn't mean he has inhuman strength compared to Captain America or hulk. He can still get hurt and injured despite the enhancements. Just not to easily like a normal human being yet not to hard like a 'super'.

A: Exavior, after the 2014 fall of SHIELD, moved to Bullhead City, Arizona, a place almost completely off the map, and became a 6th ​grade science teacher and the head of the afterschool robotics club

A: As Tony Stark's abilities were more mental than physical, it is entirely possible for him to control the inherent abilities given him, though it will take much time and practice.

A: As Exavior is a scientist himself, he can extend a small amount of forgiveness to the ones who had done this to him, especially as nothing too major had changed about him, and thus takes HYDRA as top priority at the moment.

Personal Background | Biography

Finley's family originally comes from Sweden and his parents moved to US when Finley's older sister was just a year old and he wasn't even in his mother's belly yet. Two years after the switch in scenery, Tabetha gave birth to another child. While the kids were growing up, the Cederholm family visited their home country on various occasions and often spoke Swedish by themselves. Laney and Finley especially loved speaking their native language in public and later in school just to see the confused stares of other people. They thought it was hilarious how no one understood them and they could even talk about the person next to them without them knowing. Though there was downsides to their origin as well as kids are never nice to those who are different.

The Swedish boy was never really good at school from the very start. Not that he was stupid or had trouble learning, Finley just couldn't focus on what the teacher was babbling about and just sitting behind a desk was simply torture for him. Staying still was never his thing. As time rolled forward, he gradually lost interest in studying altogether and eventually fell into some bad crowd. Finley started skipping school which led to him completely dropping out during high school. He started hanging around the streets with his 'friends' and getting into fights while staying out late, rarely showing his face at home.

Tabetha Cederholm was hit by a drunk driver when she was out looking for her son. Said son dealed with the loss with putting more anger into his fists as he pounded some other sorry sucker into the ground. Not too long after he had turned 18, the police picked him up again and instead of being locked up for an assault, Finley found himself being recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D who claimed they'd teach him how to fight properly instead of throwing punches blindly. The teen had no desire to go to jail so he accepted.

Finley had no difficulties with keeping up with the physical training but in turn he sucked dealing with people and was a terrible team player. However, in the end, he turned out to become a decent agent no matter how few people actually tolerated him, let alone liked him. While on duty, Finley always had a way to turn off his emotions and do what was necessary for the misson. He could shoot a kid begging for their live without a blink of an eye. As a payment, he hasn't slept well in years.

During his training and the time as an agent, Finley slowly grew apart from his two remaining family members and even ended up missing his sister's wedding while on a mission.

Q: After the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D in 2014, where did you go and what have you been doing since?
A: Abandoning all he had, Finley turned himself into another homeless guy on the streets of NY, hiding in plain sight. After all, no one bothers to look twice at human trash. Though everything didn't always go by the book and he occasionally had to take down a HYDRA agent who got too close. When he was seemingly randomly snatched off the street, Finley put up one helluva fight which wasn't enough in the end. Thinking it was HYDRA, the young man was sure he was done for but instead, some weird and painful shit was done to him before he was tossed back on the street again.

Q: Now that you have these new abilities, do you think you'll be able to control them?
A: At first, surely not. Many glasses will shatter before he learns how to handle his strenght.

Q: What's your first priority? Taking down HYDRA with your powers or taking revenge against the scientists?
A: Finley wants answers, badly. However, as for now, he won't care where his abilities came from as they'll prove useful with taking down HYDRA. ​

Hawkeye is a world-class archer and marksman. His above average reflexes and hand-eye-coordination make him the most proficient archer ever known. He is also trained to throw knifes, darts, balls, bolas and boomerangs. He is a natural athlete. He is also formidable unarmed combatant, thanks largely for longtime combat training with Captain America. He also has extensive training as an acrobat and aerialist. He is highly capable and charismatic team leader and a shrewd combat strategist, albeit sometimes reckless. Barton is also talented weapon designer, particularly well-versed in variations on basic traditional weaponry such as arrows, blades and hand-thrown projectiles. Personal Background | Biography

Born in Korea, Holly Song was an unfortunate child. Her parents, though loving and caring, could not fight against their fates. Killed when she was four in a plane crash, she was sent to her relatives in Geongdang where she lived until she finished her preliminary schooling. At age 16, she moved from home into Seoul and began her studies as a decoder and language intelligence officer in a private research University which took on fresh students to mold them into perfect soldiers. However, Holly had her own plans and took on the training with a grain of salt. Finally, when she had learnt all she could at age 20, she travelled to where her father had been born: New York City in America.

She approached almost immediately by SHIELD, who both wanted and demanded her expertise on the behalf of their Intelligence Division. The offer was tempting, far too tempting and she caved in soon after her initial refusal, she began work at the SHIELD HQ soon after. When the Fall of SHIELD came about, she soon found herself on a hit list that included every SHIELD agent and operative with any knowledge that could be helpful. During her time with SHIELD, she had entered into a de facto relationship with a man who remains unnamed to preserve his safety, then conceived and gave birth to her daughter, who is 2 at the time of the Fall of SHIELD.

Q: After the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D in 2014, where did you go and what have you been doing since?
A:After the fall, I barely escaped with my life and fled to Lexington, Kentucky. There, I established a home with my partner and daughter. I worked as a police office under a fake name, Holly Sharp and was content with that, nothing too risky.

Q: Now that you have these new abilities, do you think you'll be able to control them?
A:Yes, as they aren't really powers to begin with. Just so much knowledge and information that I have to remember, ways that my mind knows how to move but my body doesn't know how to keep up.

Q: What's your first priority? Taking down HYDRA with your powers or taking revenge against the scientists?
A: I can sympathise with the scientists really, having working alongside many during my time at SHIELD and they are also under their own orders. Definitely going after HYDRA, so I can be safe with my family and get the hell out of dodge.

Powers: Nicolai posses Bruce Banner's abilities in full sans the green hue, but sadly not without repercussions. Nicolai transforms into an alter ego which he affectionately dubbed 'little Nicky', which can only be described as a large humanoid with seemingly endless strength. Unlike Bruce Banner, Nicolai maintains original skin color rather than turning green, but his eyes will lighten to a shade of forest green. His powers include;​

Abilities: However in human form, Nicolai maintains a measurable amount of abilities as well. They include increased Stamina, agility and honed reflexes and strength.​

Weaknesses: Nicolai has anger issues and often results manifests in miniature bursts, when he's frustrated or upset. He often drinks to take the edge off, however that only halts the transformation so he often ends up just throwing a tantrum until he calms down. The surge of chemicals in his bloodstream often causes internal bleeding, so when he's in human form he is subject to nose bleeds and such. The hulk can be lulled by soft music.​

Personal Background | Biography​

I was born on December 15th 1990, to a poverty stricken family. We lived in a much too small house that only had two bedrooms, so I simply shared a room with my sisters for the majority of my childhood. My family was close, and we were happy despite being poor. My older twin sisters did well in school and earned four year scholarships, and they both ended up becoming english majors. However, my grades suffered until I got to highschool, and I graduated with a partial scholarship. I majored in Biology and Chemistry and graduated with hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loans, debt my parents would never be able to pay off. So I took the first job opportunity I got--working at sheild as a laboratory assistant. Aside from the language barriers, the job was easy enough and whatever extra money I made, I sent home to my parents. I supposed I'm guilty of clinging to those who speak the same language as I, speaking in broken english quickly becomes tiring for me and my co-workers. I worked alongside a man named Xavier Abernathy for several years, and despite the blatant language barrier we got along well enough.After S.H.I.E.L.D fell in 2014, I moved back home. Some time after that, my sisters were killed and my father committed suicide. This all happened in a span of months, leaving my nephew Hans without a mother. After my father committed suicide, my mother pushed us away so she could grieve alone prompting Hans and I to move back to America. I haven't a clue as to how to raise a child, and Hans knows it.​

Before HYDRA I worked at S.H.I.E.L.D in a Laboratory specialising in genetic mutation, our lead hell bent on trying to find out human anomalies. The Super Soldier serum hadn't been available to scientists of our clearance at the time, so that was one of our pet projects--trying to figure out what made The Super soldier...super. I worked alongside a man named Dr.Abernathy, but not too often due to the major language barrier. They attempted to teacher each other in their free time in their respective languages.. ​

A: After S.H.I.E.L.D was infiltrated, I spent some time in Lithuania with my family--well what was left of it. I lived there with my Parents, siblings and nephew until my older twin sisters were hit by a car. They were walking Nakemi's son to the bus stop when a car, drove up onto the curb and hit them, killing them both instantly. My nephew survived with a concussion and minor scrapes and bruises. Soon after my father committed suicide due to the loss, leaving the three of us alone. I stayed with my mother for some time in Lithuania until she pushed me away, wanting to grieve alone. Because she was unable to care for Hans, the responsibility was shifted to me.​

A: Because of my temper I highly doubt that I'll be able to successfully control the 'other guy' , but I'll learn. ​

A: As much as I detest the scientists, I am more inclined to deal with HYDRA first. The scientists did what they did out of desperation--I know the feeling. I don't forgive them, but I do understand but that doesn't lessen my anger in the least bit.​

-Exhaustion/Pain- Iris is only human, and can only do so much, or take so many hits, before she will collapse, or be forced to retreat

-Fear- Iris is deathly afraid of flying, or heights, and will go to many lengths to stay away from both


Small History/Biography

Iris was born in a small town in France, and lived there for the first ten years of her life, until her mother and brother died from a plane crash on the way to Germany. Afterwards, her father and her flew back to his hometown in the United States. She was constantly teased for her lack of a mother, and now deadbeat father, but got good grades in all of her subjects, and went on to a scholarship at MIT. There, She majored in engineering, graduating at the top of her class with a grade 8% higher than ever recorded. This grabbed S.H.I.E.L.D's attention, and she was quickly recruited as an engineer. She had been a part of the design team for Project Insight, and quickly regretted it afterwards.

Weaknesses: Weak physical constitution makes it difficult to use his powers extensively. Particularly with telekinesis, he runs the risk of getting nosebleeds or losing consciousness if he relies too heavily on his powers. The mystical nature of his abilities also seems to have negative effects on his mental state, possibly resulting in insanity over time.
Personal Background | Biography

Carlos Luis Alvarez Jimenez was born into a middle class Colombian family, his father a civil engineer and his mother a schoolteacher. His parents and older sister Miriam moved around frequently trying to avoid the violence and instability plaguing their country in the 90s, eventually settling in Manizales where Carlos would be born. The educational opportunities available there allowed Carlos to develop an interest in science, which he maintained throughout his school years, distinguishing himself as a student and earning a reputation as a brain.

While studying at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Carlos was approached by S.H.I.E.L.D. recruiters who offered him the opportunity to enter the Academy and potentially earn a spot in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Science Division. After two years at the Academy learning alongside some of the best and brightest minds in the world, among them Leo Fitz and Jenna Simmons, Carlos graduated and was stationed at The Reliquary, a secret facility in the Andes where S.H.I.E.L.D scientists studied biological specimens such as the remains of the Chitauri who invaded New York.


Q: After the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D in 2014, where did you go and what have you been doing since?

A: Carlos was at The Reliquary when HYDRA's brutal takeover of S.H.I.E.L.D. took place. He managed to escape with his life, but made the mistake of returning to his family instead of going straight into hiding. HYDRA agents were waiting for him there, holding both of his parents hostage. His father was killed in front of him after Carlos refused to join HYDRA, and he and his mother would likely have suffered the same fate if a group of S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives trying to round up assets before HYDRA got to them had not intervened. Following an intense shootout, the S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives agreed to relocate his mother and sister and keep them safe, but unfortunately they could not do the same for Carlos with HYDRA in control of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s infrastructure and Project Insight in effect.

Afterwards, Carlos tried to track down other friends and associates from S.H.I.E.L.D., crisscrossing South America only to find most of them were gone or else had left their old haunts to go into hiding. He remained on the move for close to a year before eventually settling in Buenos Aires, where he laid low and stayed off the grid as best as he could until now.

Q: Now that you have these new abilities, do you think you'll be able to control them?

A: Carlos will have problems grasping the chaotic mystical aspects of his powers given their unpredictability and the fact Wanda Maximoff herself often had issues controlling them. One possible way of dealing with this could be by combining his new powers with his knowledge of biology and chemistry to produce hexes affecting human physiology.

Q: What's your first priority? Taking down HYDRA with your powers or taking revenge against the scientists?

A: As a scientist himself, Carlos most likely won't hold a grudge for being used as an experiment since he understands the necessity of having weapons to use against HYDRA. He will be much more interested in taking revenge against HYDRA for killing his father.

Also Nicolai is acting as his Nephew's guardian so maybe they met at like--walmart or something. xD Picking up school supplies lel. Or the Liquor store? Nicolai drinks to keep his heart rate down and 'Little Nicky' tame.

Or perhaps they met when Finley was living on the streets as a homeless man? Nicolai gave him food or money and a few kind lithuanian words, or maybe he came across him when he was fighting HYDRA cronies and he hulked out and Finley barely managed to calm him down? I dunno. c;
