The two slept for hours, uninterrupted beyond the few moments Ellisandre entered with medication or food for Celine. Though her fever was still quite high, her cough had finally passed. Leaving her breathing coming with ease and that ache in her chest starting to fade. Skylar too had been roused occasionally to be seen by a healer. He was easier to amend. Most of it just being severe fatigue. His foot was almost completely heeled. Now only a dull soreness left behind.
While the two slept, beings from the encampment would drop in. Bringing a gift or supplies that would help them for the next journey. Most just wanted an opportunity to see Celine. That small precious girl who had always made efforts to help care for them when they stumbled lost and full of fear in to her castle.
Celine wasn't sure how many days it had been or even where she was when she finally opened her eyes and had a true awareness of her surroundings beyond a feverish dream. She still felt groggy and weak, and perhaps a little too warm. But none of that seemed to matter to her. There was Skylar dozing at her bedside and that was more than she could have ever hoped for.
Struggling to sit up, Celine reached out a hand to brush through Skylar's hair while he slept. She didn't want to wake him... but she had missed him so much!
