It is not at all that I do not like it, but I am simply used to seeing more information and limitations. I now really understand that you are striving for a more free approach for this role-play, which is very nice, indeed. Sorry, once more, if I offended you with my comment. =3 Thank you for the information.

No problem, I really will try getting all that information up soon, but it will probably have to wait until after I have slept.

Naturally! One should always have their personal health as a top priority. There is no need to rush at all. Take your time and have some rest. In the meantime, I hope I'll be able to finish my sheet by the end of the day. =3

I will finish my character tomorrow ^^

Personal
Name: Akade Kadenz
Age: Not as young as he looks.
Sex: Male
Race: Human

Appearance: Akade looks like a youthful adolescent barely old enough to qualify as an adult to most civilizations that still remain Garmanic. Given his rather delicate and exotic appearance, it’s actually surprisingly common for him to be described as an ice princess. Yes… most people tend to mistake him for a female at first, which makes sense when his exceptionally long hair, soft features, and small stature are considered. His voice is rather soft as well, only complicating matters.

Just over five feet at 1.55m, Akade’s hair nearly reaches the ground and is pure white like first snow. It’s generally tied once at his nape and allowed to hang freely otherwise. A single braid hangs over his right shoulder and the small cross accessory is present as well. His eyes aren’t completely white, but have a tinge of grey while his skin is doll-like in its flawlessness. While not frail, his physique is only slightly toned, much like someone used to long travels on the road rather than a mighty warrior or limber assassin.

Most of his attire seems to be fairly fitting for his current locale. Plain brown tunic and pants with a cotton undershirt. Of things that do stand out would be his heavy cloak Winter’s Embrace, a pair of thick gloves that hang from his belt at the moment, and the thick boots he has gotten too used to wearing to part with.

Biography: Hailing from the Rorcheral Tundra, it has been many winters since Akeda was left alone. Only the hardiest manage to survive the unforgiving land, and that’s within nomadic tribes of many. Then how did someone as fragile, by appearance at the least, as Akade survive where his tribe hadn’t?

Magic of course. Even at a young age it quickly became apparent to the other magic users that were part of his tribe that Akade’s mana pool was exceptionally deep. The fact that he could inhale and exhale mana from his body with each breath was a feat they had never before witnessed. Faced with a prodigy in their eyes, he was taught to harness this gift from the moment he could learn.

When the tribe’s unique artifact failed to detect a hidden Fiend, Akade was one of the only survivors to escape. The creature had buried itself under snow and only appeared on the Warmth of Life when the tribe’s footsteps reawoken it. He doesn’t remember much about the Fiend given the chaos it caused and the order to run Akade was given.. Fear coupled with obedience drove him faster from the carnage than anyone would have guessed or imagined.

It would be a few days later that Akade would be able to return to the site of his tribe’s annihilation. Only a light layer of snow, easily brushed aside, covered the equipment and supplies he quickly salvaged. There were no bodies left around, but the watered down blood stains made the happenings quite clear.

He wandered for a few years senselessly without directions for a few years afterwards, simply honing his magic to higher heights. Young as he was, Akade had already advanced his magic far enough that the harsh conditions of the Tundra weren’t even concerns anymore. In fact his body had ceased aging as he delved into magic of the Life Sphere to sate his body’s needs. Without the need of sustenance as he relied on the ambient mana to nourish himself, Akade would pass days motionlessly and in heavy meditation.

It was fascinating for him to explore how magic could work with his body, but eventually Akade grew tired of his unchanging days. He left the Tundras as a master mage and easily found fame through fights with Fiends. Mastery over self-enhancement coupled with potent healing abilities made him an overwhelming force to be reckoned with. Not the most skilled, his worth was nonetheless demonstrated time after time as Fiends died to his bare fists.

Enough that he’s earned the title Winter’s Wrath due to the savage nature of his combat style; he tends to go head to head against Fiends and rely on his enhanced body to take hits, or his regeneration magic to heal up any injuries he does receive. Another title tends to be Ice Princess for his appearance and demeanor when not in the middle of punching a Fiend to death.

Regardless, Akade’s simply ended up in Port Neworth after the latest caravan he worked in as an escort for. With a hefty coin pouch thanks to the job, it’s questionable why he chose such a seedy establishment to spend his time at.

Traits
Might: 1
Arcana: 10
Guile: 0
Cognizance: 2
Will: 2

Unique1: World Touched - The ability to adapt to the world by tapping into the ambient mana in his surroundings. Though gradual, over the course of many sessions, Akade’s body will adjust to better function in the environment. The most common adaptations are to temperatures and moisture levels. He eventually also gains a sensitivity to the mana around him, being able to detect changes or anomalies.

Unique2: Winter’s Embrace - A cloak that both protects its wearer and harms those that may try to hurt them. More durable than it would seem, the heavy material is capable of turning aside arrows and blades albeit the force is only slightly dissipated.

When activated with mana though, the cloak emits an intense chill in a 1m radius that the wearer is unaffected by. The cold seeps into opponents’ bodies and slows their movements and thoughts, eventually disabling them out right. Direct contact seems to force the cold into their bodies directly, worsening their condition with each hit landed. The mana drain is constant and noticeable, but not horribly problematic for someone like Akade and his immense mana pool.

Unique3: Warmth of Life - A rather large locket engraved with intricate runes and markings. On the inside, behind glass, is a small metal ball held by prongs. Numerous rings expand outwards from the center where the ball rests. When mana is channeled into the artifact, it sends out a pulse that detects any life within a large radius. The ball dissolves to liquid and branches out, in their direction with the rings acting as gauge for distance. Life was already difficult enough, if avoiding the fiends was at all possible then it was much preferred.

@Zombehs looks good so far, just pointing out on Winter's Embrace the following: the protective features will stop you from being turned into a pincushion or cut to ribbons, but it won't dissipate force behind a weapon. Stray attacks may even get past the cloak upon occasion, it is not full-plate, afterall. For the chill mechanics, it will be in a limited area of effect, of course and will take variable times to disable some enemies than others, the effects of this cloak of course will drain from your mana reserve constantly. Far less than a spell would take to do something like this, but its just something noticeable. :3

Naturally to all points. The cold would only affect people within immediate reach of Akade, so a 1m radius around him seems about right.

As for the drain, I imagine it wouldn't be too problematic for someone with 10 Arcana? Not to the point of simply ignoring its drain, but enough that he wouldn't be pressed to end a fight quickly if he did use its effects?

Quite correct. As long as he isn't doing some heavy duty spell-flinging, he shouldn't be terribly bothered by it.

Well he's much more focused on self-buffs and the like, so I don't think he'll be burning as much mana compared to more "conventional" mages who raze buildings at his level. Won't be terribly mage like given he'll just be punching people's faces in with his enhanced body, but hey it'll work.

Lol that'll be great! I look forward to seeing your character complete.

@Tempest Cool, well almost done, but just want to know how powerful Fiends are. I take it their strength would vary greatly, but could examples of the weakest, average, and strongest be given?

The weakest would actually be stuff akin to a lone house cat that if you're not careful might bang you up but the average bitter housewife might be able to beat off with a castiron skillet. More a nuisance to the vast population. Some are still capable to be domesticated.

Your midrange fiend is something that has far more deadly potency. One on its own might be able to take out a few average men. These are the ones that typically a handful of guards will accompany a caravan to protect against.

The deadliest fiends are the ones that threaten to do great damage to cities, capsize boats, and the like. These are the sort of creatures that the strongest of individuals fight in stuff of bard tales and typically enormous hunting parties are established to hunt.

Finally my charrie is finished :3 I hope she is okay now, just tell me if I need to fix her again ^^ Here you go~Erylis Tarcasia

Badda boom, badda bing. Done as well, and hopefully everything turns out fine.

@Zombehs accepted.

@Azula alright... Here's how my compromise is going to work. Ifrit, in his human form, stands of average human power with the following: superior agility and access to fire magic. He does not naturally regenerate or have exceptional endurance in this form, BUT, as a demon, he does not ACTUALLY perish. He returns back to the demonic plane upon 'death' and after 3 days, you can summon him back with a sacrifice of your own blood.

His demonic form... Okay, great strength, alright. Being able to set an entire forest afire? No. He can tap access into high level fire magic, but it draws directly from you life force to do so and something too large runs the risk of killing you. Consider him able to breathe cones of flame, raise walls of fire, superheat metal and the like.

If you are alright with these conditions, I can accept it :3

Thank ye kindly, look forward to this beginning.

Deal! @Tempest I'm gonna edit him. Oh btw your picture is totally distracting me from reading your post XD

Oh one more thing, can I keep his jump ability?

Yeah, that's part of what I meant by the agility, but didn't say it.

Oh that song suits the bear so much.... XD So, Erylis is accepted? :3

Name: James Brown
Age: *mumbles under breath*
Sex: Male
Race: 'Human' (So he claims.)
Appearance:
demon_lord_by_chevsy-d6zzv3x.jpg

Biography:
James claims to have been born across the seas in a land called Hopesholm in a town called Gladtiding to a mother Mary and father Robert, a troubled birth he admits due to his horrible birth defects that took him a long time to view favourably. He attempted to follow his fathers footsteps as a carpenter but showed no talent for the trade, disappointing his father greatly. He attempted then to apprentice to a man named Joseph Williamson as scribe, and while he picked up a little of the skill he was dismissed from his apprenticeship after being told he had no ability in the field.

His father granted him a small boon of gold to attempt to start his next goal as a merchant and trader, which fell apart within a few short weeks due to him lacking any real sense of guile allowing him to be ripped of repeatedly leaving him a pauper. Once more trading failed career for the next months fancy, this time hunting.

In a turn of surprise (to himself) he actually seemed to have a talent for it. Mostly thanks to a pup he rescued from a helpless bitch who died giving birth to her deformed pup. He helped raise the pup to maturity with milk from cows (several of whom the farmer claimed he killed from sheer fright confusing him greatly, that people could be so prejudiced against the obviously handicapped!) But still his success as a hunter seems to have troubled the people and they asked him to leave *at spear/pitchfork/sharp rock point* and he bought passage on a ship called the "Spartan Madness" for whatever destination he intended on. He attempted to convince the shipmaster to trade him in the trade, but was firmly put ashore in Garmanic after seventy percent of his crew hung themselves from the mast only two days out from port.

Travelling for a short while he ended up doing odd-jobs finding that his skillset was really more intended along the lines of aventurer, sadly disappointed that his life has taken such a direction he embraced this new lifestyle with two decades of regrets as he waited in the Bilgerat Bride for someone else wanting people for work.

Totally a Human: He gets exceptionally confused at any intimation that he is in fact a daemon, devil, daedra or comparable creature or that his faithful hound Rover is in fact a Cerberus, viciously pointing out that it is cruel to refer to his pet's birth deformities. If mentioned that he has wings and claws he states that it's even crueller to refer to his own birth defects. Even if they are awesome. (Possesses natural armour, razor sharp claws and wings capable of flight.)
Rover: Rover is his pet hound. A veritable destrier of a hunting animal.. who just happens to have three heads, breathes fire now and again and has a snakes body/head for a tail. Rover is totally devoted to his master and while very defensive about his master, otherwise tends to act like an excitable wolfhound. Including being willing to chase sticks or balls that James throws.
cerberus_by_rage1986.jpg

'Unnatural Pedigree': Though he has no talent for arcana or magic he does seem to have a preternatural defence against regular magics intended to manipulate the mind. Attempts to beguile his mind or fog it with illusions are unlikely to succeed and attempting it tends to cause an unholy whispering in the mind of whatever made the attempt. (Additionally, anyone sleeping within a couple dozen metres of him experiences troubled sleep and nightmares.)
