Wonderealm Society IC

A World of Whimsy
SyPNMd.png

Wonderealm was a vast and whimsical world that existed on the fringes of what was real and impossible. The creatures and flora existed as unique beings wielding powers and abilities one could only dream about having. The history of this society that rules over the realm is long and bloody. The current age has four courts ruling while a fifth defacto faction calling themselves the Freedom Riders guards the land in the center of the world. They seek freedom for those oppressed by the Court System. Although not all Courts are wrong, some seek enlightenment or profit, as it were. Overall the landscape is an intriguing delight as one can encounter roses that sing, mushrooms that help you grow, and rabbit holes that lead you to an Underground Bazaar, not for the faint of heart. There is something different at every turn, and one must always keep on their toes!

* * *

Within the Bloros Region, you can feel the anguish of the poor souls that had befallen the wrath of the current Bloody Hearts Court Queen permeate throughout the land. The Royalty is the cruelest of all and dislikes relations with others. Many come to die here, as this is a one-way trip to torture, abuse, and imprisonment by the Courts. Only the genuinely high-skilled or diplomatic can withstand a visit to this region and live to tell the tale. Notable places were dotting the dreadful landscape, but one had to know where to find them. The blood-red hills and plains of the Bloros Region make way to small settlements ruled over by the Court. Those who live here don't look forward to much in their daily routine. There seemed to be no heroes that cared to save the people, as all of them chose to leave and abandon what they deemed to be lost. Others can only keep the Bloody Hearts Court at bay for so long...

* * *

The Micab Region is shrouded in mists and thick emerald pine forests that extend into mountainous cliffs. Magic brims in everything that lives here; it oozes out of the plants and comes off the fauna in waves. This area is gorgeous at night, as that is when the moon illuminates all. Wonderealm is home to many mysterious ranks of magic, and only one is affected under the light of different phases of the moon. The people call it "Dark" magic because the things that happen when using it aren't always good. But with proper research and experimentation, one could achieve anything with Moonlight Magic. The Queen of the Midnight Clubs Court is a Vila by the name of Acacia Leveson. Her experiments are well known, and the other Monarchs respect her. She seeks to find more ways to utilize magic in all its ranks and forms. Who knows what she might discover?

The day was growing warmer as the afternoon sun raked its way across the sky. The full moon would be tonight, and it would be extravagant. The Queen's Lady-in-Waiting was bustling about the castle, making sure everything was in proper order for the rituals tonight. She was hoping to leave a good impression on the Queen. When there was nothing left for her to do in the main hall, the Lady-In-Waiting went through the castle. Somewhere among these long halls would be her Queen. Perhaps she would enlighten the woman on how magic works. She didn't know all the details of what would happen tonight, but she hoped the Queen would let her join. It intrigued her deeply to understand the ways Wonderealm Magic could change under the Full Moon. She sighed and peered around doorways to try and peek at the Queen. Where could she be now?

* * *

IIn the Radumia Region, the world is a colorful place filled with radiance at every corner. The Radiant Diamonds Court upholds a lawful place where people are peaceful as long as they obey the rule of law. The Court does its best to keep life pleasant and relaxing for their people, with festivals and activities happening every time the week turns. The Court's Wonder Elementalist performs the latest trends known throughout the civilized kingdoms. The land holds plenty and the food and drink are abundant among the settlements that make up the Radumia Region. What more could you want from a ruled land?

* * *

Abisyo Region holds its own as the most profitable of all in Wonderealm. The Abyssal Spades Court runs on business models and seeks to gain as much Wondera Coin as they can for themselves. They say that they run the Bazaars and the mysterious counterparts beneath. The citizens of this Court are happy to an extent. The taxes are high, but the living can be decent in certain areas. Some settlements are treated worse than others by the King, and it shows when traveling through them. Overall the wealth of the world seems to rest in this region. If an attack were to happen from the Bloody Hearts Court, the Abyssal Spades fears they would be first, regardless of being farther away. Greed can make one blind to the world around them.

* * *

Freedom is a precious thing that one truly doesn't have if under the rule of a Court System. The founders of the Freedom Riders knew this fact and carved out a place of their own, taking a slice of each preexisting region and creating their own called Fredrim. There would be no real leaders, just riders who rode out into the areas helping those oppressed and who needed to be free. They would try and show the whole of Wonderealm what it meant to have true freedom. One day they would make a move, but today it would be the same routine; briefs, missions, mealtime.

The land of the free gave way to the afternoon as the lunchtime bell rang in the Eatery. Fredrim Square was the principal capital of the Fredrim region and held the quarters of the riders, the stables for their mounts, the Eatery for meals, and a few other businesses and things for the folks who choose to live here. The Cook of the Eatery needed someone to sample his latest concoction and hoped the Yellow Rider was about the Square. Perhaps the Flamingo fellow would like to try this soup and crumpets recipe he just made. However, riders go through the Square all the time, so the Cook wasn't quite sure if Reginold was around. Though he knew the Yellow Rider did not usually miss a good meal, he seemed to like to eat. Perhaps if he rang the bell for lunch, he would be able to see the flamingo.

* * *

Throughout Wonderealm, the societies that lived were stirring, and the thrum of a new era hummed slowly in the distance. What would await those who travel through the land? Time will only tell.

Fantasy Life Offline

To Become Different

Candace thought it took an eternity for someone to call her name. Leo had gone ahead with the process ages ago, and she was anticipating what would happen next. Candace had played video games before, but nothing like this. Everything was a controller and a headset; for the most part, this was a whole new experience. She was so lucky to have this opportunity to live a new life in this game. Hopefully, it would be worth all the waiting. The chatter between Candace and Kevin waxed and waned as the other testers left for synchronization. Finally, with what seemed like twenty minutes had passed by, a woman holding a clipboard appeared out of the passageway and called her name.
"Candace Macorney, please come with me." She was beckoning her to the doorway, and Candace said goodbye to Kevin before following her into the hall. The trip down the corridor was short, and Candace grabbed a package and disrobed, placing the stickers on the places the diagram had told her. She tried her best to get ready quickly as she was eager to get in the game. She traveled into the room where the pods were and took it all in, wondering where exactly Leo was in all the chaos.
"Beta tester, please come this way; we have a pod prepared for you." Candace blinked at the man and nodded quietly, in awe of all the technology. She was speechless at everything; none of her console games could hold a candle to what she would experience here. As she got into place and they attached all the wires to the metal nipples on the stickers, she took a deep breath and knew this would be the start of something entirely different. Candace went through the motions before a calmness fell over her body, and her consciousness sunk into a state of inky blackness.

* * *

Synchronization wasn't painful; for that, Candace was grateful. It was so seamless that she hardly remembered the transition from the pod into this room. It was as if Candace was there, flexing her fingers and gazing about, wondering when the real fun would start. She decided to test out her virtual body and tried running straight across the blank expanse. It wasn't hard to move her new legs, so Candace tried simple exercises and stretched to feel how to work in this form. It took her several tries to feel like she was getting somewhere in her synchronization finally. Overall her time within this space was helpful as she felt like she could do anything in the game now. It wasn't long before a wispy voice spoke aloud.
"Notice: Synchronization completed for all beta testers. Proceeding to log in." Candace clapped excitedly at the voice and stated,
"Now the fun starts, let's go!" She looked around curiously as the expanse faded away, and she slipped into darkness once more.

* * *

It was only moments before Candace had her vision back, and she could see a giant purple room with a black background. Everyone around her was now in this room, and they all looked like a wireframed form. It was only a second before she spotted the shape of what was Kevin and came closer to him, waving her wire hand at him. She was curious about Leo when he called over to them from the other side of the room.
"Hey, Leo! It was awesome; I've never experienced anything like it. I thought it would be painful, but I was wrong." Candace called to him as he asked his question. She observed the room and wondered what sort of things she could do in here. Obviously, they weren't going into the game like these frames, so perhaps she would finally become something different here. Kevin stood quiet absorbing everything at once.
"How was your synchronization? You were first to go, and it seemed like forever before they called my name!" She exclaimed to him as the other testers got familiar with the area they occupied.

Wonderealm Society IC

A World of Whimsy
SyPNMd.png

Within the world of Wonderealm, characters of all shapes and sizes make this topsy-turvy land their home. The great legends of old still wander the moors of the weird as the lights pass on each day. Exploring every nook and cranny of Wonderealm would allow you to find the mysterious figures that hold treasures far beyond normal means. The way the people interact with one another depends on what's truly at stake; for some, it's as simple as a coin; for others, it's their life. It takes care and patience to be able to navigate the trails that sprawl far across each region. Many things can happen unexpectedly, and one can never be too prepared. Adventures are plenty as the clock ticks slowly, moving time forward to its destination.
* * *

A Bloody affair was to be had almost every day in the Bloros region. They yearned to cull those they deemed unworthy of their grace. The court was fierce, and anyone who even looked at them funny would be without a head by nightfall. The twilight hours were the perfect time for heads to roll, or that's what the Princess of Bloody Hearts thought. She enjoyed the waning light casting shadows across the guillotine as their prisoners died swiftly by its blade. Mostly it was the commoners who fell to this accursed fate, but Adaline had overheard her parents discussing plans for invasions into the other regions. They wanted more territory, more bloodshed, and she couldn't help but shiver at the thought. The Bloros Region was a beautiful place, but the rest of Wonderealm at her disposal? That would be the icing on her cake. Perhaps she would ask to attend more of these meetings, although she knew how the Queen was, and her father practically had no say. She sighed and bit her lip as a crow let out a caw somewhere beyond the castle walls. Dreadful animals they were, always making noise and pestering the cadavers. It wasn't quite time for beheadings, so Adaline was left alone with her thoughts. The lunch she had wasn't as good as the dessert she snuck from the kitchen earlier. Perhaps the Princess would find a way to sneak into the next meeting, though Adaline would need a good plan if she got caught. Mother was cruel if she went against her will. Thoughts swirled around her mind as the sun crossed the Courtyard.

* * *

When the lady-in-waiting finally caught up with the Queen, she seemed extremely busy. She listened to her words quietly and cocked her head slightly at her question. Did she want her help? Corrina Matiste was new at being a lady-in-waiting, but she wanted to impress her Queen so much, this could be the perfect opportunity to show her how loyal she was. She felt so inspired by the woman and hoped to excel at being her handmaiden. She bit her lip softly and spoke to her Queen with a bow.
"Your majesty, I would love to attend with you. It would be my honor to serve you during your experiment tonight. Thank you so much for this chance!" She got up from her bowing position and straightened out her dress. She had no clue what to do to be helpful, but she would try her best with whatever instructions the Queen had for her. The experiment wouldn't be until later; preparations for dinner would need to be accomplished before she could let herself attend such an extravagant event. She sighed and furrowed her brows.
"Shall we prepare a feast before the full moon rises? Perhaps usher in the good spirits to stay the dark magic we rile up?" She was nervous but tried to keep it out of her voice. Her superstitions about evil crept around her thoughts as she waited for the Queen to reply.

* * *

The dazzling lights and colorful sights of the Radumia region amaze all that travel through it. Some may say this is a perfect place to live; however, those who wish to be free say otherwise. The laws that bind the Radiant Diamonds Court are strict and rigid. If one were to break a rule, the worst consequences would ensue. The ruling King and Queen maintain a sense of order. They hold events to rally their citizens for their causes, swaying their opinion towards the bright, cheerful side. Although not every diamond can shine brightly, some are dull and lifeless and cannot sense the brilliance that others possess. Those characters seek to undermine the authority of the region one step at a time...

* * *

Business dealings within the Abisyo region are private affairs that can result in great things or horrible consequences if one were to cheat another of their money. It's about the wealth of another here in this place, and the Abyssal Spades Court does their best to have a hand in every pocket on Wonderealm. Each day they count their coins and collect more from the travelers that live; almost every significant capital has some sort of Bazaar and hands over a minor percentage of their profits to the Court. One day all this business will make sense to the world. For now, the customers will buy, and Abyssal Spades will sell.

* * *

The Cook of the Eatery was a small stout man by the name of Coco. He loved to bake and create all sorts of food for the Freedom Riders to enjoy between missions. Coco admired their courage to save others from the Court System and did his best to make their bellies full and encourage them to keep going. Reginald was his favorite rider, or perhaps the only one eager enough to try the concoctions he would slam together on a whim. Today he had made honey glazed crumpets with almonds and a leek and potato soup with extra cheese. The unique thing about this is that the soup allowed those who drink it to go faster than usual. The glaze on the crumpets gave the user a dose of good luck. Coco did his best to infuse magic into his food, and he did everything to make them unique, so the Riders had a chance against the might of the other Courts. It was hard work rescuing the oppressed. Coco watched as the riders filed into the Eatery and scanned the crowd for his beloved flamingo. In a moment, he spotted his feathery head and called him over to the serving counter.
"Aye, Me' Pal I has a treat fer' ye' today!" He revealed an extra helping of the lunch meal for the day and scooted it across the counter. Usually, the custom was to give a couple of coins to the Cook for the food, but Coco didn't want him paying for this.
"Now save yer' coin fer sumtin' better than me. Eat up now!" He chuckled and stroked his beard as he waited to see the reaction of the Yellow Rider.

The world of Wonderealm brims with magic and mystery as the day makes its way closer to the evening.

Aspects of the Gods IC

The Exploration Group brought the ominous scroll into the castle to examine the mysterious texts written on it. They were pleased to be back home finally, but bringing back such an artifact with them, they had no idea what words awaited them. They quickly set up a space to investigate the scroll and had a Duke read the ancient script scrawled across the worn page...

g9Fhn1.png

Everyone stood there in awe at the prophecy they had found. The leader of the exploration group pulled an attendant aside and told him to fetch the Monarch. He furrowed his brow and waited for them to return. The Monarch came in quickly, and they explained what they found. It wasn't the treasures that Straxus Mcvoy had hoped to receive from this expedition. It was dire news, but it took time to decipher the meaning of the prophecy; he would not let his people panic. They would get to work understanding the specifics of the prophecy.

* * *

The sudden change in her mood made Charles realize his mistake, and he bit his lip before starting to sweat again.
"Oh, I do apologize if I offended you. Today's not my day, I suppose." He swallowed hard and looked for the exit of the shop. He knew his master wouldn't be happy with this outcome of events, but he didn't want to get her any angrier than she was. He sat the glass of water down on the counter and quickly left the building without his mission completed. Heaviness remained in the air when a tendril of darkness worked its way through the roots of the apothecary plants. Ancient whispers hummed in the earth as they fermented the plant and rotted it completely. This event would be the start of the Ancient's awakening. Little by little, they would reach out into Castraia and disturb the peace.

* * *

Pine needles crunched under her feet as she made her way closer to Pangari. She too chuckled and drew her cloak closer to her body as a slight breeze blew through the forest. Usually, she would wait to speak to the woman when she visited the Temple, but this was different. The shadows said of deeper darkness, something stirring on the edges. Not even the goddess Hadria could sense what it was, but the fact that it was growing in strength was the Priestess' reason to speak with Pangari at her own home. She knew the assassin could take on any job, and thus she posed her question.
"The shadows sense things beyond us that are stirring...things that are worse than the cruelest god. We ask for your assistance in investigating clues of this mysterious presence." She implored the girl to help with their plight. It was getting late and the priestess left Pangari with the decision as she made her way back to the temple.

* * *

The boys managed to accomplish most of the tasks set forth for both of them. Garla Murer decided to give Zhiqiang 15 copper pennies and Yingjie 5 copper pennies. She determined that Zhiqiang could work for her again if he liked; he managed to complete every task with flying colors. It would take a lot of convincing for Yingjie to get Garla to hire him again as he only really worked to excel at two jobs on the whole list. Overall the preparations for the festival went down smoothly, leaving the boys to observe the festival and spend their money at the booths. The thrum of ancient heartbeats murmured on in the night as the festival celebrated gods who had no idea what was coming next. One thing was for sure; the food couldn't eat itself.

* * *

As the time passed in Castraia, the events unfolded as follows; crops began spoiling and going wrong for no reason, while sacred animals were found dead in random places. There were horrible accidents taking place at the temples and an influx of natural disasters not explained by the pantheon of deities. These events are all happening while the Capital Province unravels the mystery behind the scroll they uncovered. The panic is starting to rise around the country as Straxus Mcvoy finally makes an official proclamation about the Prophecy. He requests people of all types to aid him in solving the Prophecy and returning the world to a sense of normalcy. Anyone can become this Band of Might to save the world from destruction at the hands of the Ancients. Everyone who wished to join would meet at the Capital Province and sign up. Rewards and riches are waiting for those ready to risk their lives for the Prophecy.

Flight of the Brightsmile - Ashval Corvus

A Stinky Circumstance

Ashval disliked this turn of events, as going down into the depths of the sewers was not on his list of things to do. However, the orcs were quickly upon them when the only option was to go feet first into the shoot; hopefully, his feathers wouldn't get too soaked. With a loud caw, the birdman shoved his lanky body down the opening and landed with a splash at the bottom with everyone else. He squawked in protest as filthy water lapped at his garments.
"Oh my, what a terrible odor..." He snipped his beak and hoisted himself off the ground, and looked around. The stench of the leftovers of Orc feasts wafted around his nose as he spotted a creature with the ugliest of mugs. It seemed to want to taste the little girl, and Ashval would not let that happen. Out of all the artifacts he kept with him, perhaps his orb of illumination could blind the beast! Ashval reached into his pouch of artifacts and rifted around in there for his sphere. It only took but a moment for him to find it and hoist it out of the bag, aiming it at the monster.
"Come any closer; an' ye' shall be blinded by brilliance!" He called to the thing, gauging whether or not it would approach them. He looked at his comrades and raised a fluffy eyebrow.
"What shall we do with this?" He kept one eye trained on the thing and another on the company.

To Be A Free Agent

Maxwell knew they needed a plan to get out of the building. He paced back and forth a bit, stroking his chin, deep in thought. The others had gotten through the windows; perhaps they could go back? Or maybe the keycard he picked up would open the doors to the lower floors? It was worth a shot to find out.
"Well, I got this keycard...maybe it will help us get out of here!" He exclaimed and went to the nearest locked door and used the keycard, and a triumphant chime resounded as it unlocked the door and opened up to a flight of stairs leading to the bottom floors. He turned back to North and gulped.
"Stairs down this way, perhaps we have a better chance following them to the ground floor?" He bit his lip and furrowed his brows at the possibilities of what could happen next.

A Meal of Champions

The fort they called home came into view, and she nodded her head at Poet's words as they departed each other for their respective homes. Cinnamon had to tidy up and wipe the grime off her skin that had accumulated from the mission. It wasn't a perfect situation but better than being imprisoned by the government. It took her several minutes to get her looking somewhat decent; the next thing she would do was go by the food pantry and see what she could scarf down. Perhaps Poet would want something to eat too, so she headed over to his domicile and cocked her head before knocking on the doorway.
"Are you hungry, Poet? Would you like to eat with me before we head out again?" She called into the home and waited for a reply from the leader.

A line formed around the tables, and Candace knew they had to be something special. She had seen character creation menus in other games, but this would take the cake. It would probably be another couple of minutes before she could use one herself, so she stood in her spot and made the motion of crossing her arms. This experience was overwhelming, but Candace tried her best to temper her excitement.
"What type of character shall we make?" She pondered aloud as the line shuffled closer to the tables. Candace hoped she could start with a relatively intelligent character, probably not the mighty dragon she first imagined in the lounge. A favorable starting location would be best since she didn't want to die the first couple of moments into the game. Hopefully, Candace could stick by Leo's side for most of her time testing this game. He could teach her a thing or two about video games, and she sensed he was a veteran in the field but was too humble to brag about it.
"Will you go first and show me how to do this, Leo?" She asked him as she eyeballed some of the creations people now toted around.

Candace loved the way the glowing purple of the Digitarium swirled around her and pulsed. Her heart was pounding almost out of her chest with all the anticipation she had for creating a character. Candace bet that Marko and his fanboy would make expensive characters that wouldn't be effective in a starting situation. It was all so overwhelming as she turned to Leo and hoped he would lead the way into creating their first avatar for the game.

Calder

Full Name:
Calder

Gender:
Male (He/Him)

Appearance:
-Picture to be supplied later-

Kempt black hair with natural navy undertones, the right side of his face is often blurred by long bands of hair. Falling just below his chin. The back of hair is equally kempt and styled to fall lacks. Straight and without bend. While most of his mouth is typically covered in a mechanic snarl breather, he does sport a rather well trimmed beard beneath. Similar colour to his hair.
There does appear to be some soft dappling of pallid freckling on his upper cheeks and nose. The left eye on the specimen is of a deep sharp cornflower blue. As the right eye appears to be quite drastically different as it appears a bright orangish yellow hue. Curiously the blue eye possess that of a black lateral pupil and the orange with a white. Seeming to offer no superiority save just being functional vision.

(Possesses Horns, tail and hooved feet, will design)

Species:

Satyr

Age:
Twenty eight

Faction/Location:
Liath

Faction Class:
Hired Mercenary Class

Personality:
Reserved and analytical, Calder appears to show the most restraint, concentration and will to stay immobile. Often thinking –perhaps over thinking- objectives from many point of views. He has shown some intrigue into creative matters such as artistic means of painting, drawing and forth. Though has no drive to implement this curiosities, it would be well to note that while the specimen is very forward and thorough in what he does, expression of intrigue does tend to lead him to be often distracted. Would advise means and measures to correct distractive tendencies.

Strengths:
Slow to anger
Capable of deep understanding
Need to understand everything
Quick thinker; enjoys challenges

Weaknesses:
Easily distracted by new things and or intriguing things.
Seen commonly as simple merely due to the lack of conversation he partakes in
Advocating on behalf of himself
Self-Criticizing

Backstory:
To be fleshed upon the rp
