Brief history
Since the dawn of time, two kingdoms were always in conflict, driven to eradicate the other faction and claim the realm. First kingdom was created for the Angelic host and "The White City", a place of awe and marvel stretching as far as eye can see, bathed in purest of light. The second kingdom was claimed by demons and devils. "The Black Towers" they named it and it became the place where wicked are given birth to. A place of sin and pleasure, where deepest of desires are fulfilled... for a price. For eons, Heaven and Hell waged war that spanned across the plains of existence, with no side showing signs of weakening. The conflict, as everyone believed, was the natural outcome for Angels and Demons had entirely different set of morals. For Angels, existence is nothing if not bound by laws created to preserve order and stability. Demons, on the other hand, value nothing more than their belief that life itself should be led by instinct and rules created by themselves. Chaos is natural order only way to be fully free is to live life as one sees fit.
The great and seemingly unending war suddenly stopped when the Third Kingdom was made and given to Men. Peace was made, intended to last until the final war can begin and Apocalypse descends upon three realms. Kingdom of Heaven and Kingdom of Hell stopped the open slaughter but found new battlefield has been created and war for human souls began. Both sides were prohibited from initiating any kind of open conflict but skirmishes never stopped. From time to time, small conflicts between small groups would occur when superiors are too busy looking elsewhere. The struggle to gain more souls has began.
Setting
Los Angeles, California. Modern day, summer. It is one of the many cities in which both angels and demons reside, constantly fighting for humans. This battle is nothing as it was in ancient times as the main goal today is to draw more humans to their side. For Angels, it is a promise of Heaven and afterlife of peace and serenity while Demons promise the life of luxury, wealth and every desire fulfilled. Los Angeles holds two very important, albeit secret spots and they are the main gathering spots for the opposing factions.

Pure, blessed, good. There are very few religious books that leave out angels from their scripts. They appear in one form or another but all of them describe few most prominent traits. Originally, angels were sent to Earth in order to guide and protect humans from the influence and the temptation of demons. All angels possess the innate ability to make themselves invisible to human eyes and perform acts of miracles in order to guide humans. However, if necessary, every Angel can take on the physical form and look like any other average human.
All angels represent a single virtue through which they channel their divine power which helps them to perform a miracle. The job would be simple enough if not for the intervention of the demons who constantly lure and tempt humans with worldly pleasures, making the work far more difficult for the angels. But even though Angels seem pure and incorruptible, there are cases of Angels falling from their grace and into temptation. For them, returning back to White City is almost impossible task... a weakness that demons most often exploit to fullest.

An Angel placed on Earth is given wide room to act according to his own plan, however, Angels still prefer to follow everything by the book. Their greatest strength comes from unity and order.
Although their unity is what gives angels edge, it also reveals their weakness. Left alone and cut off from White City, angel may even fall into temptation to reach for the freedom that humanity offers or temptation that lurks around every corner in form of a smile and a twinkle in eye. If such temptation would to overcome the purity that exists, angel may fall from the grace and lose ability to channel divine powers of miracle. Without the light of White City, wings of turn black, mind becomes twisted and fallen angels is born.
The hierarchy of angels is well defined and clear. At the bottom stand lowest triad consisting of angels, archangels and principalities. The second, middle triad, consist of powers, virtues and dominions while the highest triad consist of seraphim, cherubim and thrones. Progression is very difficult and requires hard and dedicated work.
Host in the city of Los Angeles is led by a single Seraphim who passes down the orders from the White City and monitors work of other angels in vicinity. Despite their disguise, all Angels can recognize each other along with rank that they hold. Like demons, all angels carry a single item that limits their power while worn and make them indistinguishable from humans in demon's eyes. Without this item, their presence would be akin to a ping on a radar, alerting all demons in vicinity. The feel of this limiter can often become burdensome and each host in city uses one designated place where they meet to receive orders, deliver reports and remove their shackles and spread wings without fear of being detected. One such location is bookstore "El Paradiso".

The horned, grotesque image of a creature with hooves and sharp teeth is all but exaggerated... a true demon wears a suit and a tie. His voice is charming, his words smooth and tempting and before him no man or woman is strong enough to resist. They embody their sins perfectly and draw best and worst from it to achieve their agenda. But they are not slaughtering juggernauts, no far from it. Demons prefer to work behind many masks and curtains but always taking all the credit for the work. Throughout ages, their agenda remained the same, although their methods changed. Simple temptations were no longer sufficient and they improved it, perfected it, drawing the basic needs and twisting them to become strong desires from which they feed.
Demons are always around, standing in plain sight among the crowds with eyes of a predator. Their success and influence. in modern day cannot be denied and they often appear as important political figures, owners of large corporations or any other figure that can utilize their sin best. Some of the most famous figures of past and present are nothing more than masks that hide devilish grin.
There is no singular specie of demon, rather, they are composed of various wicked supernatural creatures. Imps, succubi, vampires, fallen angels... there are many types and none rules above other. The only way to be on top is to earn that spot through strength or cunning.
To mock the White City is perhaps greatest of pleasure but also their biggest weakness. A demon, upon wishing so, may be absolved of the sins under the guidance of an angel and be given a chance for redemption and passage to Heaven. Returning to Hell becomes a thing that cannot be accomplished and even if somehow achieved... welcoming party will not be pleased and the torment will become unimaginable.
There is nothing more terrifying than a horde left unchecked. To prevent chaos and disorder beyond the desired level, there always are those demons who command large number of underlings and ensures that they do not cause trouble... well... not more than required. A single Duke/Dutches monitors entire coven in city, ensuring that people are drawn to sins and desires. Before arrival on Earth, a demon is obligated to wear but a single item at all times to ensure his identity is concealed from angels, but not by demons. Like with angels, strain tends to place a burden on bearer and to prevent permanent damage, demons gather in special, designated place where they can let loose and stretch their claws and hooves without the fear of entire angelic host appearing before their doors.
To display insatiable desire for sex and all pleasures of the body and constantly crave for more.
To indulge oneself to extreme, to enjoy food and drink beyond measure, to give into and exploit abuse of modern drugs.
To always display the desire for physical possessions, to always want for more regardless to whom it belongs to.
To shun all desire for work, to keep oneself in state of stagnation and accept depression as ultimate emotion.
To allow anger and fury to overtake, to avoid patience and constantly act with great passion and often bring harm to others.

It wasn't for their bodies for they were frail, it wasn't for their minds for they are so narrow and see only forward, failing to realize the magnitude of universe that surrounds them. No... it is their souls. Such fragile thing at first sight, so gentle and pure but at the same time completely indestructible. You may torture them, bend them, twist in every direction but human spirit that resides in that small soul keeps on going, refusing to give up. From that determination came the greatest gift that one could ever have... Freedom to chose their own path in life.
That very freedom was something that both angels and demons admired, always wanting to feel the vast array of emotions, so complex and often overlapping. Then the first ones dared to hide their wings and tails and dive into very unique experience...
First of the Nephilim was born, a union of human and angels or demon. Sometimes blessed, sometimes cursed but Nephilim never live life quietly. They felt the call, deep within their very souls and it drove them faster and further than other humans. A single virtue or sin, carved deep into soul that will be their motivation throughout life.
Those Nephilim who are born with angelic parent often become paragons of the virtues, taking on dangerous jobs for the sake of others. Cops, firefighters, doctors, priests... in modern world they are often known as 'heroes without capes' living in modest albeit short life that ends in their sacrifice for the sake of others.
But there are also those whose parent was from different side, a demon of sin. Those children utilize the sin of their parent to live long and prosperous life. Nephilim of Lust will find that her charm is irresistible and indulges himself in life of sex with little to no failure in finding next partner. Although they appear superior, Nephilim are still physically no different than humans. It is their morals, desires and drives that are notch above the rest.

Goal
There is no set goal or end point. Idea is to place up to 7 members of each faction in same city as they try to achieve their own agenda. At the beginning positions are set however there is no restriction in joining other side: Angel may be tempted and fall from grace and join demons or demon may be absolved of sins. Humans are not aligned with any of two factions so it will be up for angels and demons to lure them as best to their abilities and for humans and nephilim to freely decide whom they like more. Drama, love, betrayal, schemes... If you can think of it, you can do it.

- All Humans and Nephilim in RP have attended same high school. They know each other but they went their separate ways.
- All angels know who other angels are. They are aware of angelic presence but do not know identity of them.
- Same applies for demons.
- All angels and demons can chose to be invisible to humans. Nephilim can vaguely sense presence but cannot see unless angels and demons reveal themselves.
- Nephilim always grow up without one parent and always the one of supernatural origin.
- Angelic headquarter in LA is library called "El Paradiso". In it, angels may remove limiters and reveal their true form without fear of being detected by demons.
- Demonic headquarter is abandoned Opera, now named "Inferno". In it, demons may remove limiters and reveal their true form without fear of being detected by angels.
- All angels can be corrupted.
- All demons can be absolved.
- All nephilim can chose to join one or other side.

OOC RULES
1. This RP is my baby. I am its creator and my word is law.
2. All characters must be approved by GM before making a post.
3. Each player is allowed to have 2 characters. Those two characters may not be in same faction and they may not be lovers.
4. Only real people pictures for characters are allowed. Manga, anime and drawn images are not accepted.
5. Character sheets are provided and you are free to make it as pretty as you see fit as long as basics are included.
6. All characters must be over 18 years old. No exceptions.
7. Be respectful toward other players. OOC insulting on any basis is strictly forbidden.
8. We are all human, we make mistakes. Grammar is important but I won't raise Inquisition for mistakes. That being said, sentences like "dis iz so gud" will not be accepted.
9. Losing interest or inspiration is normal. If you feel like you no longer wish to participate in RP, please let me know.
IC Rules
1. This is libertine RP and adult content is allowed which includes sexual themes, however, this is not porn. Make sure you have some substance prior to sexual act.
3. Cursing and insulting will happen and you are free to use them however at least have some sense of moderation.
4. Sexual acts MUST be consensual.
5. No godmode, Mary-Sues, overpowered actions, etc. I understand that Angels and Demons will be powerful but take that as opportunity to improve character, not abuse.
6. Killing another player-character is allowed ONLY if player agrees to it. Killing characters without consent is not allowed.
6. NPC exist and you are free to abuse them to your heart's content. No restrictions there.

That very freedom was something that both angels and demons admired, always wanting to feel the vast array of emotions, so complex and often overlapping. Then the first ones dared to hide their wings and tails and dive into very unique experience...
First of the Nephilim was born, a union of human and angels or demon. Sometimes blessed, sometimes cursed but Nephilim never live life quietly. They felt the call, deep within their very souls and it drove them faster and further than other humans. A single virtue or sin, carved deep into soul that will be their motivation throughout life.
Those Nephilim who are born with angelic parent often become paragons of the virtues, taking on dangerous jobs for the sake of others. Cops, firefighters, doctors, priests... in modern world they are often known as 'heroes without capes' living in modest albeit short life that ends in their sacrifice for the sake of others.
But there are also those whose parent was from different side, a demon of sin. Those children utilize the sin of their parent to live long and prosperous life. Nephilim of Lust will find that her charm is irresistible and indulges himself in life of sex with little to no failure in finding next partner. Although they appear superior, Nephilim are still physically no different than humans. It is their morals, desires and drives that are notch above the rest. -

Serpent, phoenix, dragon. Call them however you wish, he is simply seraphim. An angelic creature with six wings, two he uses to fly, two are wrapped around his feet, two cover his face. And He spoke the word and out of nothing, everything came to be. The universe, the light, the Earth and all who crawl and walk and fly. And on that Earth He placed the most paradoxical of creatures known. Humans. And they were His favorites and He told his angelic host to look over them, guide them, and show them His way and hear His word. Nothing short than awe was present in Samandiriel's mind and with eagerness and tireless dedication he descended upon Earth, to look over this creation that God made.
From the first steps that humans made, he was there. His own light obscured his presence from them but he watched, sometimes laughing at mistakes they made, sometimes admiring the unmatched dedication and resilience. From the ancient Egypt, to Roman empire, from the rise of Mongols to fall of Byzantium and further more through every conflict and progress they made, he stood vigilant. Sometimes he delivered salvation, sometimes wrath, but always diligently and zealously following the word of God and White City. But he wasn't alone. He was never alone. From time immemorial, he stood among countless angels that descended upon Earth to guide these fascinating monkeys. They always knew him and he always knew them and not once was he caught refusing to help angels and the host.
Samandiriel was fascinated but not always has he approved of the acts humans did. When zealots appeared and began slaughtering people in His name, he was ready to interfere. But White City denied. Free will is nothing if not used to its full extent and for better or worse, they are to live their lives as they see fit. He is to guide them, not make decisions for them. And so he watched, subtly nudging them in right way but always frowning upon the violence they committed in the name of religion. It was then he became aware of demons and their influence on this world... and he wasn't content. He realized that it could've been their influence that corrupted humans, that drove them toward edges of insanity and violence. Like in the old days, he would've lifted the fiery sword but that was not the option. The pact is there, testament for the age... The kingdom of man is not ready.

Human form - Being one of the benign dragons curious in affairs of mortals and various other creatures, he chooses to appear as a human, roughly 185 cm tall, slim, with flaming red hair and matching red eyes. Scales are replaced by tanned skin and clothes of his own choosing, although considering he is a professor he prefers uniform.
Dragon form - True form of any dragon can go anywhere between 2 meters and 200 meters. While Rhaegos is 'only' 20 meters tall as a dragon, that cannot speak for his abilities. In this form he appears as red dragon with red scales on back and golden/yellow scales on his belly, reaching from tail up to the head.
Fire breath - Human or Dragon form, even smallest of blow from his lips can turn into fire. More air he takes into his lungs, bigger and hotter fire it will be.
Fire manipulation - With just sheer force of will he can increase temperature around him up to several hundred degrees Celsius. In his full power which only occurs when last of his nerves has been snapped, he can easily melt entire surrounding and even reactivate volcano. Fortunately, he never exhibits this kind of temper.
Fire-resistance - He cannot be harmed by any form of fire or heat regardless his form he is in.
Immense physical strength and durability - in his dragon form, he can produce tremendous amount of power with a simple swing of his claws. His body is covered with scales that are almost unnaturally hard and it allows him to withstand punishment that would otherwise obliterate other creatures.
Flight - Appearing only in dragon form. Can fly.

At the first sight, he doesn't seem to be in best of mood. His face indeed rarely shows smile but that doesn't mean he is displeased. Soft-spoken, highly intelligent and always able to make time for students and professors, Rhaegos seems to be the one willing to help in one way or another. It is true that dragons value treasures, that applies for any dragon but it is highly debatable what is 'treasure' to a dragon. For some, gold and silver while others share the undying thirst for knowledge and Rhaegos appears to be latter one. Of course, far from the fact he doesn't share good taste for beautiful things but he values the craft more than what it is made of. A wooden statue, carved by a hand of a master will always be more valuable to him than lair with gold. But then again, beautiful can also be a person. Question is, would he see such a thing worthy to be treasured?
During class hours he tends to be very strict and appears cold, however once classes are done he tends to be a lot easier to talk to. When it comes to addressing others he holds a strict rule. He will address other staff member with "professor" or "lady", students with "mister" or "miss" depending on gender. Only exception to this is Anael whom he will refer to as "Dean".
His attitude toward others is a bit expected. Though not exactly condescending in nature, he will often view younger races as 'children' and sometimes take it upon himself to give them a few 'tips' and 'guidelines'.
Very immaculate when it comes to preparation, he can be extremely patient if what he is preparing for interests him. Though slow and mindful of every detail, he ensures that behind slow preparations lies perfect execution... in any area, mental or physical.

Sleepless - though his naps can be legendary, he can withstand years without sleep. Bad luck for those who wish for test results to be delayed, he never fails to deliver them on time.
Neutral - Judges individuals based on his own impression rather than on rumors regardless of the race or gender.
Weaknesses:
Pride - He is oldest of his kind, considered wisest of all fire dragons and he can certainly act like it.
Short temper - He is not king of fire dragons for nothing. With element comes personality.
Easily impressed - It doesn't take much to impress him, as long as what is used is unique and possibly shiny.
Opposite element (water) - Be it dragon, elemental or other creature that conjures and manipulates water, he will always be at disadvantage when facing water.
Stubbornness - If you thought dwarves are known for stubbornness, you have not seen a stubborn dragon. Once convinced he is almost impossible to convince otherwise even with all evidences presented before him.
Any charm spell - Though it is often impossible for any dragon to be charmed and subdued by magic, a charm spell will make him pay attention to it. It will be up to him to decide if he will be interested in person or not based on action of the person who made the charm.
Fears:
Chains - There are very few things that can truly capture dragon and all of them share that fear, fear of losing ability to spread wings and soar the sky.
Deep water - even pool seems to be a challenging obstacle which he rarely if ever dares to cross.
Emotional instability - It is said that dragons that succumb to singular emotion become so obsessed with it that they devolve, they lose all their wisdom and become mindless beasts who always try to find new ways to sate their desire. To become one is perhaps greatest of fears that he has.

Both his office and private quarters are filled with books. Though he keeps everything in immaculate order, there are few books that he does not have and only recently he acquired a very 'peculiar' set of books. Only adventurous individuals dare to ask what they are.
With his remarkably low amount of interest for politics and dealings of humans and other creatures outside of the academy, Rhaegos is known to never bow before anyone. He highly respects beings that are older than him but bow will be something no one will ever see.

Some say that god Mars has blessed this venerated priestess while others claim that the demi-god Heracles was the one whom she chose as partner. Rule dictated that this mother, Rhea Silvia, was to be executed for breaking the sacred vow but king Amulius feared wrath of gods will fell upon him and his kingdom should he bathe his sword with blood of mother and children. In an attempt to keep divine favor, king ordered his servant to take twins out in the wild so that they may be killed by means of nature, not by means of man. This servant, taking pity on innocent children, decided to put them in basket and let them float down the river Tiber where they would eventually reach safety. This safety came in shape of a wolf, who nurtured young boys until they were discovered... Only one of them, however, will be marked in history as a person who found a city that will stand all tests of time.
For centuries this city, this Rome, has grown and prospered. It's culture, philosophy, art and pure military might could not be denied or rivaled and it became the very center of the world. Senate was established to ensure republic's prosperity and spread it's culture to all corners of the known world, and for centuries it was successful in it.
Now we come to most crucial of points in time where a single man will mark the history of the Empire. Gaius Julius Caesar, general and politician of great influence and undeniable charisma has risen the republic to new levels of might. Fearing that he may decide to take up the crown and proclaim himself a king, the Senate on 15th of March, decided to put an end to his rule. The wide public was enraged by this heinous act to murder Caesar who was popular among middle and lower class.
Five years has passed since the assassination of Julius Caesar. The greatness of Rome and Republic itself still stands, a facade of white marble depicting beauty and might... but beneath this exterior of splendor, lies another story and great Rome became a boiling pot, ready to overflow. Mistrust has reached critical point and citizens began gathering in secrecy, rich and poor, and formed a brotherhood called "Children of Remus" with intention to choke the Republic and turn it into Empire. The life goes on -
This story begins at the start of year 39 BC, five years after death of Julius Caesar, the most successful of generals of the time and dictator whose popularity was vast among middle and lower class. Rumors on the streets are that the Senate can no longer be trusted with immense power and individuals of influence now watch the offers of Senate with great skepticism.
With the trust of Roman population swaying from one side to another, Senate began losing once immeasurable power that could shape the fate of the Republic. The power was ripe for the taking and three houses became more prominent, controlling major aspects of Roman life through their immense influence. House Iulia, House Cornelia and House Varia. Each of these houses controlled some aspect of Roman daily life and each house provided voice among in the Senate.
Those who wished to be recognized in any way, had to either belong to one of these houses or start their own. The political intrigue, assassinations, controversies and scandals ensured that such attempts are met without any success for no one wants more competition than it already exists.
You are one of the citizens of Rome with all privileges and responsibilities that comes with that title. Your house fights for more power in the Senate, be it for control or to finally destroy the dream of the republic and establish the Empire... after all, you are all fighting for the glory of the Rome.

1. This RP is my baby. Though I am open for exceptions and I am its creator and my word is law.

5. Character sheets are provided and you are free to make it as pretty as you see fit as long as basics are included.

Famous throughout the Rome and Republic, House Iulia has always been known to produce talented commanders that led legions into subjugating barbaric tribes and expanding borders of the Republic. Senators that came from this house along with those who were supported by it, are known to be aggressive, sometimes conservative but brilliant nevertheless. With Gauls acting up at the news of Caesar's death, House has taken the advantage to increase the influence by forwarding names of young, bright members who can deal with this old threat.
House Iulia is known to be popular among the citizens of Rome and currently holds largest private army, dedicated to protect both Rome and House's interests.
