The Djinn introduced himself as Bas'arahn, a former royal guard. Now there was a point of interest. What could of happened for such a high ranking guard to be conscripted to such a service as this? At the very least it confirmed Akadian’s suspicions of him being some sort of warrior. Having never, or at the very most rarely, left the company of who he was guarding he said he was interested in learning what he could about people.

Shortly after Bas'arahn had introduced himself another Djinn had climbed aboard the wagon. Unlike Bas, this Djinn had completely covered his ethereal form and rather than a forward facing plate of metal the newcomer had a fully fashioned helmet. The only thing that gave away his race was the complete lack of feet and the occasional wisp that escaped out the bottom of his robes. For the time being he was silent, letting Meadow introduce herself to everyone else.

Akadian was skeptical that Meadow had no idea when she picked up her miniature travel companions. Even if all she did was drink it was hard to believe she could forget when she had to start caring for the tiny morsels. Surely the addition of more mouths to feed, especially when one couldn’t spot the gold to turn away the gaze of the city guard, would mark a milestone in her life.

”It is certainly not uncommon for them to be pickpockets and as a result they can find a fair bit of difficulty making any lateral movement regarding power. It is uncommon in the traditional sense but there are more than enough that one being in power is any sort of rare occurrence.” Akadian replied to Meadow’s question when there was a sufficient break in the conversation.

Nairys, like Akadian had volunteered to give his service to the expedition out of the city walls. Ash as well as Bas cited a desire to learn as most people from Jannah did. With a peck at the helmet Nairys wore the bird previously perched atop it flapped its wings and glided over to Akadian. The bird gave him a long stare before speaking up and subsequently pecking at his shield. Akadian scowled a the bird for the nick it made in his shield. With the back of his hand he swept the bird away from his shield.

“You best keep a better reign on that bird, lest these wagons will be covered with holes in no time.” He shot a glare at the Ifrit.
