Welcome to the ground! You survived! This thread is pretty simple. It's based on the 100, the tv show. It is set in a dystopian world full of action and adventure and mystery. Our charries are a wide variety of what this world has to offer. The plot is a simple one. All 13 clans have been invited to Polis to present a showcase of sorts of warriors and glorious battles. Essentially, gladiator style fights amongst chosen opponents.

Personality: Toro is a reserved and hesitant Ice Nation warrior with a very serious and cautious demeanor. He demonstrates a high sense of honor and a willingness to do what is right, most of the time. Although he is loyal to his clan and proud of his heritage, he does not agree with the ruthlessness showed by its leaders and is occasionally known to show mercy to his enemies. He has a habit of being blunt and is extremely distrustful of newcomers and anyone that isn't his sister. Despite this, he is loyal to those who have earned his trust and fiercely protective of them. He takes his duty of looking after his sister extremely seriously and often steps in front of her to keep her safe, instinctively putting her needs ahead of himself and taking responsibility for and of her. Outfit Preference: Rune prefers to wear darker clothing, colors ranging from backs to dark blues and usually isn't seen wearing lighter colors unless he's forced to. He usually wears tighter fit clothing that hugs his curves perfectly with and allows him to fight easier without the restrictions of having overly bagging clothing. Rune often holds a mysterious aura around him due to the fact he often covers his body to the fullest, including his face so most haven't actually seen his face due to the hoodie he often carries around. xx || xx Weapon of Choice: Rune is naturally good at any type of bladed instrument, preferring to strike fast to the most vital points that would cause his opponents to bleed out gradually. Throwing daggers, long daggers, and occasionally the sword should satisfy him but he has dipped into the curved swords that are commonly known as scythes but has yet to master the odd weapon. He isn't the greatest with the bow and arrow or anything relating to those weapons as he's solely focused on bladed weapons than anything else. xx || xx || xx Tattoos: Rune does have a few noticeable tattoos hidden when he does show off his body with a tattoo on his back in black ink, a band on his left forearm, and a cherry blossom tattoo on his right arm that he got in honor of his siblings. Warpaint: Rune's warpaint of course consists of black paint splattered around his eyes and seems to drip down his high cheek bones before it covers a little bit of his neck and collarbone. xx Appearance: Rune is beautiful despite disagreeing with that statement on multiple occasions although he has often hidden his appearance from the world only allowing those he truly trusts to see what he looks like. Smooth skin with a tint of caramel to give him a golden glow as if the sun's rays are welcoming him, basking him in its golden rays. Semi-short hair fans his face that seems to always fall into his eyes whenever he's doing something which tends to annoy him more often than not but he hasn't had to heart to cut it. He does have colored hair from time to time from berries or whatever he can grab to make a colored paste that usually lasts for a couple of days before it washes out completely. A tall, muscular figure that stands at 6'6 while weighing 125 lbs. Bright brown hues that seem to be more expressive than his entire face which he hates the most about himself since he can be an open book without even realizing it. Multiple scars cover his light tanned skin from the countless times he was beaten up protecting his little brother or his parents going a tad to far in harassing them. A semi-large X-shaped scar dead center in the middle of his chest due to his father's short-temper and lashing out to attack Kian but Rune had jumped in the way resulting in a nasty scar. Long jagged scars laid out scattered across his back that seem to cause him pain from time to time after being whipped countless times by one of his parents or taking the beatings that other children their age dished out after finding out about Kian and Nakoa. Dark blemished skin around his wrists and ankles that he keeps hidden with small brown woven bracelets/anklets. A rather large gash that starts at his left shoulder and slashes diagonal to the right side of his hip along with a few smaller scars scattered over the majority of his body from getting into countless scuffles. Personality: Rune is a rather odd character, seeming to joke around in any situation before becoming serious and rather terrifying when royally angered. He isn't one to be taken lightly even if he has a friendly face. He is someone that keeps himself locked, pushing away anyone who draws near afraid of being hurt and he doesn't know whether his heart can take any more betrayal and sadness before it shatters. He has witnessed the people he's loved so dearly being ripped away from him in a matter of seconds. People he thought he could trust wholeheartedly betray with without blinking. He's learned to hate people first before they could hurt him back. He's learned that everyone is out of get everyone no matter who they are and that his siblings mean everything to him and with this he has decided to become their protector of sorts after his younger brother married. He would rather die than see them get hurt and he will slay any who dare threaten them. Rune is loyal to the bitter end, no matter what he will follow even if people turn against them. He'll stay by your side through thick and thin unless of course you prove to be unworthy and evil. Rather adventurous but none the less ever so reckless. Craving adventure and enjoying the thrill of something exciting. He's always the one to step forward for missions and is usually seen on the frontlines when in battle. Never one to miss the action. He can be rather impulsive, letting his heart decide what he wants rather than listening to the logically part of him. He isn't one to fight based on logic but the stronger his emotions are the harder more stronger he'll fight, especially if someone he cares for is being threatened. He raise hell to those who dare hurt the people he cares for and could care less about the consequences. Rune is a prime example of endless sarcastic remarks. This boy has no filter when it comes to sarcasm which may make him out to be a royal jackass but that's just the way he works. Sarcasm is his self defense or trying to distract someone such as if he's badly wounded he'll start cracking jokes. Mischievous and can be rather flirty as he thoroughly enjoys picking on people with useless banter and calling people rather odd nicknames. Some may think his eyes hold a sense of trickery and slyness as he's one to cause mischief and get into verbal fights with others who continue to provoke him. He thrives off of provoking people and the more reaction they have the more he'll continue to mess with them. He does have a short-temper and tends to fight with his emotions more than anything else which causes him to loss his temper which results in him wanting to bite someone's head off. Do not mess with him when he's pissed off because he will not hesitate to try and strangle someone with his bare hands. He thrives off of his emotions than logic for the most part so the more pissed off he becomes the more unstable he is. He can be serious which seems to be a normal thing for him as he tends to have a rather expressionless facade but when people catch him off guard, he tends to have something other than just his usual blank face. Rune is very protective of his friends and family and will not hesitate to get his hands dirty for the sake of protecting them. This way he is very self-sacrificing, preferring to watch others happy than let himself happy. When others are happy he's happy even if he's shattering on the inside. He'll shut his mouth and continue to help and protect people. Very aggressive and unforgiving as once someone breaks his trust they'll never be the same ever again. He doesn't trust easily and only a handful of people have seen his gentler side but when someone betrays him he truly does shatter and is left to pick up the pieces. A gentle soul with a caring side that's hidden for only a few to see. A side of him that is vulnerable to only those he truly trusts. A mysterious and unwelcoming character who somehow holds a charismatic aura around himself. Someone who doesn't speak much but can certainly make an impression with his cold and unwavering glare. Do not be fooled by his hot-headedness and the ability to anger people with just a few simple words, he is very intelligent, being able to think of battle tactics in a matter of minutes to being able to pin-point weaknesses and strengths in mere seconds. He is rather observant and calculative but after all he is a grounder and he lives in the trees. One could not afford to be weak and useless. As he is blunt he is even more straight-forward, not even beating around to bush if he must deliver harsh news. He is one to not sugar coat the truth and give you the cold hard facts even if you don't really want to hear them he could care less. Likes: Enjoys being alone, thunderstorms calm him down, he will quite literally stand in the rain without the care of getting sick, sarcastic remarks, music, he's rather amazing at singing but he prefers to sing by himself, he does love to dance but he hasn't let anyone see him dance as it is a bit uncommon for grounders to dance, definite night owl, warmer weather, cherry blossoms, fruit, his siblings mean everything to him, the stars, training constantly. Dislikes: Hates mornings, doesn't like listening to authority, annoying pests, morons in general, those who prey on the weak, bow and arrow, his parents, cold weather, being forced to stay in one spot, mornings will be the death of him, really doesn't listen to authorities whatsoever, himself, really doesn't like bright lights, not being able to help someone both mentally and physically, hates seeing people cry and will try to do whatever to stop them, isn't fond of expressing himself in front of others.

Family: Rune has one younger brother; Kian [played by Wang Yibo] who means the world to him and has recently gotten married to Nakoa [played by Zhan Xiao] who he adores just as much as his younger brother. These two mean everything to him and are his top priority no matter what. Rune and Kian's parents were never in the picture for the most part; Ikora [played Alice Pagani] by and Keon [played by Sakaguchi Kentaro] who were rather strict and ruthless. Abandoning them after finding out Kian and Rune liked both men and women alike. Rune and Kian did have a little sister; Neith [played by Han Eu Ddeum] who drowned at the ages of sixteen. Biography: Be warned that if you are squeamish around the mentions of abuse, torture, sexual assault, etc. then do not read this.
Rune was the eldest among the three siblings, Neith being the youngest while Kian was only a few minutes younger than him. They loved one another dearly and would do anything for the other. Most assumed they were best friends than actual siblings more often than not. They did everything together, one wasn't to far without the others but that was until he witnessed one of their close friends drown their little sister; Neith. He never knew why they did it but due to his rage he slaughtered them right where they stood without even thinking of the consequences. All he cared about was his dead sister who was floating down the river banks where Kian ran to grab their sister and bring her to shore. The two brothers did everything in their power to bring her back to life but sadly she was gone. She was sixteen when she died, her life taken by her best friend who they trusted but greed and jealousy overcame them to kill. Rune and Kian buried their sister at her favorite place that was underneath an old willow tree they had stumbled upon during their younger years, its long branches hiding her grave from prying eyes and it allowed them to cry without anyone seeing.
Their parents are a different story. Abusive and overall cruel people who should have never had children. Dead set on continuing the old traditions they tortured Rune and Kian with everything they had from whipping them to burning certain parts of their body until they passed out from the pain. Sometimes their mother would assault them in her drunken haze, destroying every ounce of trust a child as for their parents. Rune couldn't rely on anyone because anyone could betray him. All that mattered was keeping his only sibling alive. He took the harsher beatings for Kian who was already becoming frail. Rune took every hit and jab that was thrown at the two with a straight face, not once did he show pain or fear which seemed to anger their parents even more with the lack of expression on his face. Their bodies were sold for money while their parents stood in the background with greed clear in their hues.
For the next two years they dealt with it alone until Kian bumped into Nakoa and things changed completely. Soon afterwards Kian and Nakoa developed strong feelings for one another and soon they were married. Rune didn't even mind the slightest. He was just happy Kian finally found someone to love until they departed. Sadly even the happiest of moments turn into nightmares as their small village seemed to grow angry until they became to physically and mentally abuse the newly-weds due to it being a same-sex couple. Naturally Rune took up the job as their designated protector, scaring anyone who even dared to hate on them. If you have opinions keep them to yourselves as Rune puts it because he won't hesitate to stick a pole up someone's ass if it means either shutting them up or protecting whoever.
Rune was eventually shipped off to the fights in order to get him away so the could finally get rid of Kian and Nakoa once and for all. Now. Rune is exponentially smarted than most of the people within his village so naturally he brought them with him as bystanders to cheer him on during the festival.

Personality: Tori is definitely the more reckless of the twins. She's generally pretty fast-paced and hates sitting still for more than five minutes. Impatience runs in her blood. She grew up in a war, she lives for the fight and enjoys the adrenaline. Even so, she sticks close by her brother and idolizes him in every aspect. Around new people she's relatively quiet and observant until she's certain she can trust said person or group of people. She's always afraid that one day Toro will realize how many mistakes she's made and that he'll leave her alone in life. She would do anything to protect him, even defy her clan.
After her accident, especially, her secret insecurity with her sibling relationship has only grown. She's noticed how protective he's gotten, somewhat after their father left, and even more after her accident. Part of her is annoyed by it, most of her is glad he cares, but she also has a fear that one day he'll wake up and realize how many times she's screwed herself over and screwed up life in general and that he'll leave, just like their father did.

Biography: Well, to start off, her and her twin to born to two Azgeda warriors. Their mother died in childbirth, unable to sustain her own life from the stress her body underwent. Fast forward ten years, their father always kinda blamed his children for his wife's death. He wasn't the best father, but he provided them a decent home and such up until they were ten years old. He was called off to fight a pointless war, and instead of staying to care for his children, he left for battle, and the twins haven't seen him since. That moment kinda spelled out the rest of their lives. Toro took up responsibility for his younger twin and they managed to survive on their own for a while, having learned how to decently hunt and such. The two quickly grew in their twin, and sibling bonds. They did every stupid thing they could together. All of that changed one morning though. The twins were playing dares on each other, classic sibling rivalry stuff. They were running across one of the many frozen rivers in Azgeda territory, with no adult supervision. What could go wrong? Unbeknownst to them, a frozen waterfall stood not far from where they were playing, and Tori, while it was her 'turn' to go sliding across the icy river, ended up falling and sliding right off the edge of the frozen falls. Her impact shattered her collarbone, broke a few ribs, as well as her wrist, and it also broke right through the thin ice at the bottom of the falls. Having almost drowned, Toro pulled her from the freezing waters and brought her back to their cabin. After that, Tori has mellowed... a little. As young teens, the two turned to thieving and just causing general mayhem in their village. They would often ambush unsuspecting travellers on the road and rob them for supplies and such. For now, they still live in their family's cabin, and Tori is more than a little excited to knock some heads in the Heda's games.

Personality: Scarlett is a complicated young lady to say the least. While it might not always be clear, she is quite the compassionate soul despite her upbringing. She is sympathetic to strangers and is loyal to those she loves. She is a peacemaker by heart though she might not always execute it in the best way. Due her extensive studies and good education, she is also observant and highly intelligent. She learns quickly and, therefore, can adapt to many different situations without too much trouble. However, despite her intelligence, she is still naïve in the way that there is so much that she doesn't know, especially about Earth (initially anyways). Even so, she is very decisive even when she is not always confident in her decisions. Her decisiveness is typically intertwined with her realistic views on life and is stubborn about it. Once she makes up her mind about some, that's it. There is little hope in changing it. Based on her history, it is no surprise that this girl is willing to take risks which makes her both unpredictable and reckless at times. One would take her for being an honest individual based on her bolder personality, but Scarlett is actually quite secretive. She is not secretive because she wants to be, but because she wants to protect others (and sometimes herself). She often comes off to be deceptive to others because of this. Regardless, Scarlett is good but just a little chaotic at times.

- Evangeline Towers, née Breckenridge (Deceased/Floated, Council Member) Biography: Scarlett was born to a council woman named Evangeline Breckenridge, who specialized in politics on the Ark, and a man named Lucien Towers, who served as a senior doctor on the Ark. As her parents were high ranking individuals, she resided in Alpha Station during her childhood. It comes at no surprise that she was well educated, especially in the subjects of politics and medicine due to her parents' influences. However, despite living what many others on the Ark would consider to be a "posh" life, Scarlett disliked many of the things that came with living in Alpha Station. For instance, she hated the serotypes that she was given due to her parents' ranks. She also disliked many of the rules on the Ark and the lack of leniency for those who committed even the smallest crimes. Of course, when she tried to speak her mind about these issues, her parents would either brush her opinion aside or scold her for it (her father was more tolerant of her behavior than her mother was though). She was always too compassionate for their liking. Throughout her childhood, her parents tried to urge her to be less soft-hearted for "the sake of humanity" but the ever-so-stubborn Scarlett constantly rebelled against this. Even with her slightly strained relationship with her parents, she did love them dearly.
However, two months ago in a turn of events, Scarlett's mother was convicted of thief and sentenced to death after a random room search was performed on their quarters. According to officials, Scarlett's mother had been secretly stealing extra rations and harvesting other confidential items. Scarlett was both devastated and enraged by this news. She did not believe that her mother was a thief as she had always followed the ways of the Ark. Though her father tried to stop her, Scarlett, in a fit of rage and desperation, attempted to save her mother from being floated and assaulted multiple guards in the process. Her efforts ended in failure though. Her mother was floated anyways. Scarlett, herself, was imprisoned and was sentenced to the same fate as her mother. Of course, we all know that she did not suffer that fate and, instead, it was decided that she would be sent to Earth.

Personality: felicity is quite the lover, but there is certainly a fighter side buried within her. she always tries to portray herself as someone people can come to when they are in need of a shoulder to lean on. although she certainly bares her own burdens, she tends to look past this and focuses more on the happiness and safety of others. many would consider her to have a motherly aura as she cares for everyone. however, this tends to take a tole of felicity and there are times where she shuts herself off from everyone to try and find herself; she does this time and time again. despite her loving nature, though, felicity has quite the temper when provoked; the few who have seen this side of her have all agreed it is not a side of her to be messed with. overall, though, felicity is someone you would want on your side of the fence.

Biography: born and raised by her father on the ark, felicity knew nothing more than the life her chancellor had set forth for her. despite never knowing her mother, she herself had turned out to be quite motherly, though this may be due to the lack of motherly affection in her own life. at around the age of 13, her father was floated for supposed treason against the chancellor, and felicity was left to fend for herself. a close friends family had taken her in, and raised her until she was 18; after that, she acquired her own space on the ark.
