The Beholder

  1. It had been a long night for Vitali. He had just finished his shift at the club and made his way up to the rooftop, where he would soon have an appointment. He was early, and planned it that way.

    It was quiet up there. A nice contrast to how it was inside the club, which he had been working at as a DJ. It gave him time to think and relax. He pulled a cigarette from the pack in his pocket and put it between his lips as he stepped up onto one of the sides of the roof, looking out onto the city. The end of the cigarette began to glow with heat, and he too a long drag from it. As he exhaled the smoke he started to relax a bit. The city looked beautiful through his blindfolded eyes. If only he could describe it to someone.

    The wind began to ruffle his silverish white hair and coat tails as it picked up, but he didn't mind the cold. All that was left to do was wait, and until his appointment arrived, he would enjoy his time alone.
