Connor watched as Vanessa dove into the water and began swimming across to the rock wall. Connor decided to let her take the lead on this portion of training, she showed that she could handle it. Vanessa had the potential to become a great assassin once she completed her training and learned of the order.

She got to the wall slightly faster than Connor but he caught up to her once they began the climb. Connor heard something over the top of the wall but before he got a chance to warn Vanessa, she had come face to face with a bear. He heard her whisper his name. "Don't move" he said as he climbed over and got the bears attention.

The bear turned away from Vanessa and faced Connor. Connor engaged his hidden blades and waited for the bear to make its move. The bear charged at Connor and swiped at him with its claws. Connor side stepped and stabbed the bear twice in the neck, but the bear didn't die. The bear ran at Connor once again. Connor ran straight for the bear but slid under it as they got close. As Connor slid under the bear, he stabbed the bear in the chest where its heart was. The bear died seconds after

Vanessa lifted herself up and looked to Connor, "are you alright?" But she was also a bit amazed, he had moved so fluildly! Her face broke into a grin, "Magnifico (magnificent), Connor, that was amazing! Where did you learn to move like that?" She asked curiously, rising to her full height and moving closer to him, she inspected the bear but didn't move too close to it as though it might jump up and attack her even though it was dead.

She wrinkled her nose, "it smells disgusting."

Connor walked over to the bear and put his palm on its head. He bowed his head and said a short native prayer. He then got up and looked over to Vanessa. "I've had much training similar to the things you have done today. I've also been hunting since I was a child." He walked over to her and motioned for her to follow him. "Come on, that'll be enough for today."

She watched him curiously say his prayer, "Is that apart of your culture?" She asked cautiously, after all she already offended him and didn't want to pry or dig herself into a bigger hole. Vanessa would follow after him towards the manor, not trusting herself to get back on her own. She was really looking forward to sleeping and a bath, did they have baths? Could she have a bath? Oh how she wanted to scrub away the day.

"Yes it is, hunting is how we acquired food, or eliminated predators" he said as they walked back to the manor. Once they got there Connor knocked twice letting Achilles know that it was him.

"You've had quite an intense day, there is a bathroom upstairs if you wish to bathe." He said gesturing upwards. He then went to Achilles in his work room. "Though she still needs work, she is actually quite skilled. Her self assurance is lacking though." Said Connor looking over at Achilles

"She just started Connor, you can't expect everyone to be as good as you the moment you see them. These things take time. If we're speaking of things that are lacking, your patience is one of them." Achilles walked over and put a hand on Connor's shoulder. "She has plenty of time to learn, and I'm sure you'll guide her in the right direction."

Vanessa nodded at his explanation, she wanted nothing more than to ask him more. Now that she had found out that the Natives were completely depicted wrong she wanted to ask him so many questions; did he walk around naked before he met Achilles? Was he a cannibal? But she held her tongue, she supposed that coming from a complete stranger it would be rather offensive, but it was mostly just ignorance and the only way to cure ignorance was knowledge.

But he mentioned bath and she smiled in gratitude, "Vi ringrazio tanto, Conn'r (Thank you so much, Connor)," she responded immediately without even thinking that he wouldn't know what it meant as she headed upstairs and sure enough, there was a tub for her to wash in and she barely got the door closed before she started ripping off her clothes. She scrubbed at her feet and was careful when sinking her hands in the water, they stung with the blisters and callouses. Once she was thoroughly scrubbed and clean, she dried off and re-dressed in more clothing that Achilles allowed her to borrow.

Vanessa couldn't even be bothered with food, she was far too exhausted to even think of eating. She curled up in the bed in the room, if it wasn't her bed then whoever it was would sadly be mistaken, and she promptly fell asleep. If Connor expected her to be an early riser, he would be met with disappointment unless he woke her himself.

Connor decided to go into town that night for some supplies. He would get the necessary materials to construct a hidden blade for Vanessa. He would give it to her as a part of her initiation once she became an assassin. He didn't expect it to be too long before she was ready but he understood that she still hand much to learn.

Once Connor entered town he tied the horse he had taken to a post and headed toward the shop that would have what he needed. There were allot more guards here than normally; probably due to the hostility between the British and the British Americans. Allot of the people in town were on edge awaiting the conflicts they knew would soon come.

Connor went into a shop and ordered the necessary tools and materials to complete Vanessa's blade, he also bought some bread and fruit for the house. "Thank you said Connor as he paid for the things and left.
(I am so sorry for the wait)

A week would pass of Vanessa's training, she would quickly learn that sleeping in was never an option anymore. Achilles had shoved her off her bed to wake her, her first lesson on sleeping lightly and waking at a decent hour instead of sleeping until noon. She continued to train with Connor, each day she became stronger and quickly grew into the beginnings of an Assassin. She still dressed like a boy to allow herself more range of motion. She was yet to go into town or Boston, she spent most of her time learning to blend, run, free climb and much more.

Through the weeks, she was yet to kill anything just yet, but she did learn about the Creed. Achilles was the one that often taught her, he gave the letters from her father that was sent to Achilles as they kept contact. She learned the three tenants and much more from the wisdom of Achilles. He even started to teach her to read and write in English, she could speak it well enough but reading and writing it was an entirely different matter.

"What are we doing today," Vanessa found herself asking as she tied her hair into a pony tail, high upon her head as usual and looking through the forest curiously, ever since the bear she became a bit more aware of her surroundings.

Connor watched as Vanessa became more and more skilled throughout the course of her training. She impressed him more and more as the weeks passed and she became as skilled as a begging assassin. Achilles had been the one to give her the knowledge of the order and began teaching her English literature. She had become one of them.

"There's something I want to give you" Connor said to answer her question. He gestured for her to follow him. He lead her to a horse which he mounted and then helped her up. He whipped the two straps three singled the horse to go. Connor took them into Boston where he went occasionally when he had business to attend to, or when he needed information on Charles. His hunt had been slow moving due to training Vanessa but he was looking forward to picking things back up. Vanessa had told him early during their training that she too seeked revenge against Charles, and Connor had informed her that he was hunting him as well. But that matter would have to wait for another day

Connor took Vanessa into a tavern and brought her to a table. "Wait here, I'll return shortly" he said before going upstairs to retrieve a chest. He brought it back down for Vanessa and gave her the key. Inside was her hidden blade, and her assassin robes. She had earned it

(Apologies for the wait - school)

Vanessa sat down at the table, looking around curiously to look at the other people. There weren't that many in the tavern to begin with, some looked to her curiously but didn't pay her much mind as she enjoyed the quiet, but she was still listening for Connor's familiar foot falls. She perked up at the sound of his steps and flicked her gaze onto him immediately as he carried a chest, she sat up a bit straighter, her curiosity obvious as she tried to simply stay patient for some sort of explanation.

He handed her a key and she seemed wary to trust him, but she opened it and looked inside to see the hidden blade and her own assassins robes. "You think I'm ready," she asked him curiously, wanting nothing more than to put them on so they could begin their search for Charles immediately. But she had to be certain that there wasn't some sort of catch to her receiving the robes. Some hidden task that he expected her to fulfill.

"You've proven that you are ready and that you have the potential of being a great assassin. You may put them on if you'd like" her robes were white, with a blue attachment that acted almost as cape, and a red belt. Her hidden blade resembled his, but on the blades gauntlet he had a quote enscribed on it "We work in the darkness to serve the light. We are assassins"

Smiling at his insistence, she nodded her head, took the robes into a room and changed quickly. She walked out fully dressed, adjusting some straps here and there, her hood down as she moved with a grace that was taught but a sway that was natural for a woman as she approached the table. Oddly enough, she felt as though they were the same height now, instead of her being almost an entire head shorter. She fit her hidden blade and tested it curiously, smiling as there was a soft 'shnk' as the blade shot out.

"Well, how do I look," she asked as he stayed silent making her believe it looked terrible. How he got her waist and bust size was a curious question she wanted to bring up but she supposed it didn't have to be brought up to make it awkward.

Connor watched her walk away then return shortly with her robes on. "You look like on of us" he said taking her in. They seemed to fit well enough, her measurements were simple estimates when it came to having the robes made.
He was amazed at how far she had come. On day one though she had completed her challenges, she wasn't half as efficient as she was now. She never ceased to impress him. She had grown to become an assassin and had earned her place amongst the creed. There was only one more task she needed to complete that was mandatory for all assassins. "Follow me" he said leading her outside and then began scaling the side of the building. Up on the roof was a very tall tower that gave one the ability to see the entire city and beyond. He began to climb the tower an watched as an Eagle flew away from a perch at the top of the tower.

Once they got to the top, Connor stood on the perch and turned around to look at Vanessa. "You have done well and have earned your place amongst the Creed. You have the makings to become a great assassin, but there is one last thing you must do." Connor turned to face away from Vanessa. "See you at the bottom. He said before spreading his arms and jumping off.

Scaling a building was far easier now as she climbed beside him so she didn't have to slow her own pace, she didn't have the upper body strength that he had so she had to be careful of that, instead using her powerful legs to push herself upwards as she climbed onto the roof and then followed after him up the tower. She raised an eyebrow at his statement and as she jumped her eyes widened as she lunged to grab him in alarm, but she watched as he did a flip mid air and then landed in a pile of hay. Scoffing at him, she thought of just climbing down but knew that he wanted her to also attempt the leap.

But Vanessa felt fear, what if she missed? What if she didn't flip in time? She inhaled deeply as she sat perched up there for a bit, trying to relax herself. A small grunt would pass her lips as she finally did a leap of faith, her heart and stomach left her, she felt weightless and she felt empty to the point where she almost forgot to flip onto her back. But she quickly did and then landed in the hay, it was as though her stomach, heart, and lungs returned to her as she inhaled her first breath, not realizing she had been holding it. She stayed in the hay a moment, running her hands over her body to be certain that indeed nothing was harmed before jumping out of the hay casually, only a few people looked at her curiously as she shook off the hay and rejoined Connor.

"Not really sure how I feel about that," she admitted with a small smile.

Connor watched as she hesitantly jumped from the tower's perch. Her form wasn't perfect, but she had accomplished the leap none the less. He gave her a small smile as she crawled out of the hay and joined him. "Well done" he said as he started to walk back the way they had come.

As Connor was walking he heard a man yell. "Thieving bastards!" Somewhere around the corner. "Give us your coin or we'll have to take it from ya" said someone in response to the first man. Connor turned the corner to find a small group of British soldiers harassing an American merchant. Connor walked over and pulled one of the soldiers back by their shoulder. "You need to leave" said Connor as he stood between them and the merchant. One of the soldiers went to pushes Connor, but he twisted his ARM and kicked the man away. The others drew their muskets and Connor pulled his tomahawk

Vanessa followed after him, also hearing the commotion she looked between the two parties with a bit of confusion. She knew of the rising tension between the Redcoats and Colonist's that were now thriving in the New World, she couldn't quite say she really understood the tension too well, but she knew it was there. Connor immediately engaged them, the moment that muskets were drawn, Vanessa grabbed one of the barrels and pulled it away from Connor.

"Get off ya whore," the man roared at her, shoving her to the ground. The assassin retaliated, sweeping the soldier's legs out from underneath him and plunging her hidden blade into his throat, her first kill. She watched the man's eyes lose all life to them before she pulled herself upright and leaned back to avoid a man thrusting his muskeet at her, hoping to catch her on the short knife at the end. She slammed the muskeet away from her, this time she slammed her bracer against the man's head to effectively knock him out, instead of killing him. She turned to Connor to see how he was fairing and made certain the merchant was unharmed.

"Signore (Sir), are you alright," she asked, Achilles had told her to try not to speak Italian too much, but it simply came naturally to her most of the time.

Connor watched as Vanessa killed one of the soldiers, he knew this was her first kill and that it wouldn't be taken lightly. Taking a human life was simple, but not easy; he knew this fairly well. He finished off the last of his attackers then turned to Vanessa as she knocked out hers. She was skillful with her attacks, he saw her training kick in.

"Yes I'm alright, are you?" He asked dusting off his robes and walked over to one of the gaurds's bodies. He pulled a small pouch from their belt and gave it to the merchant. "Here, this belongs to you" with that, Connor walked back over to Vanessa and led her back to where their horse was. "We should leave this place before too much commotion rises." He said and turned the horse down the road. It was a fairly silent ride back

"Yeah, I'm fine," she lied, her tan face was a bit pale, mostly obvious in her lips as she stared at her stained clothing. Vanessa was fighting down the feeling of being sick as she continued to stare down at the bodies. Get a grip, Vanessa demanded of herself as she watched the exchange between the merchant and Connor. She gave the merchant a smile as he gave words of thanks to them both and then followed after Connor as they returned to their horse.

Vanessa pulled herself up behind him with ease, she didn't want to touch him, her bracers were already bloodied. She could smell the coppery scent and was starting to taste it in her mouth too. They barely made it into the treeline before she finally leaned forward, grabbing the reigns and yanking the horse to a stop, much to the horse's annoyance and she promptly ran behind some trees and fell to her knees to be sick. A blush was covering her cheeks darkly as she yelled back her own hair and spat to get the nasty taste out of her mouth, which only made her be sick another time.

Finally when she had calmed, the burn in the back of her throat threatened for a repeat of her episode as she returned to Connor, not meeting his eyesight out of shame, "I'm sorry."

Connor was caught by surprise when she reached infront of him and pulled the horse to a stop. He watched her then move swiftly to the trees. He didn't have to see what happened next, he heard it clearly. He wasn't exactly surprised, his first kill had made him uneasy as well.

"Are you alright?" He asked with a small smile "you don't have to be ashamed, killing a man is not an easy thing to do." He got back on the horse and waited for her to join him. The rest of the ride he made sure the horse walked steadily to avoid making Vanessa sick again, he truly didn't wish for their white robes to be coated in vomit. "You did well today, if that makes any difference to you."

(I apologize for the waiting, things have calmed down and I'll post more often if you would like to continue)
