Hello and Welcome the the Land of Seloh!

This world is inhabited by creatures called Pokemon! But... You already know that don't you!! So lets just get straight to the important stuff!!

This is a Story that will be based in an all new region of the Pokemon World known as Seloh!! In this story characters may consist of a variety of roles, and events will be tied to the Pokemon Showdown Tournament you might have seen in general chat!! This roleplay is not EXCLUSIVE to those players, HOWEVER they do have some priority when it comes to character selection! But, I'll get into that in a bit. If you're still interested, let me tell you more about the world of Seloh!!

The Land of Seloh

Seloh itself is a relatively small region that over the past 2 years has become very heavily populated with Trainers and Pokemon alike! What brought all of these Pokemon and Trainers to this small, and otherwise unimportant region? Well, thanks to Professor Willow and her research on Mega-Stones, she discovered that Seloh had special Gem-like rocks that could be used to make Mega-Stones! With her research, she has been able to create a way to make Mega-Stones in very large quantities!! This has gained the the attention of Trainers so that they can push their training to the next level by gaining access to Mega-Stones. It has brought Pokemon as well, for many Pokemon wish to have their own inner power unlocked so that they too can Mega-Evolve!! There is a rich and diverse landscape for all Pokemon to exist, and even a higher number of Shiney Pokemon have migrated to Seloh as well!!

The entire region consist of Three Large Cities that are placed in somewhat of a Triangle Formation. However, what brought all these people All the Cities of Seloh can be compared cities like Lumios City in Kalos, large and full of things, places, and people!

First, there is Anson which has the first 4 Gyms: Bug, Ice, Fairy, and Fighting. Anson is also the home to Professor Willow's Research Lab and where most people apply for their Mega-Stones. Professor Willow wants all Trainers to have access to Mega-Stones, but they need to be dedicated Pokemon who truly care about their Pokemon, and understand the dedication it takes to have a strong bond with their Pokemon so that Mega-Stones will work! Anson is also the Fashion Hub of Seloh, and all the latest clothing trends come to Anson first!!

Next, Bardney is the city of Music and Art! This is home to the last 4 Gyms: Psychic, Steel, Fire, and Rock. There is also a large Pokemon Contest Hall where all the non-battle related events are held. This includes Pokemon Contests, Pokemon Olympics, Pokemon Orchestra and more!! This is the city that caters greatly to people who love Pokemon, but know that there is more than just battling!

The Last city, Chalgrove, is home to the Pokemon League. However, unlike most Pokemon Leagues, The Elite Four are their own "Gyms" if you will. They have their own special badges that they award, and all 12 badges must be acquired before going to meet the Champion. The Pokemon League and their Members are located on top a large hill that looks down at the city in a very elegant Stadium. The city itself is also home to some of the best Pokemon breeders, Pokeball Creators, and the Pokemon Trade Center where people can go and Trade Pokemon with ease!

Team Power are a bunch of no good wrongdoers within the Region of Seloh. They have the great ambition to instead of steal people's Pokemon, they just want to steal their Mega-Stones so that they can have the most powerful Pokemon!! They also have some secrets about Pokemon themselves, and they often will capture Pokemon to further answer their own questions and ambitions for their own doing. You can expect them to be all about the land of Seloh trying to snag your Pokemon, so be ready to battle them at a moment's notice!!!

Rules/Structure About the Event

Rules About Your Pokemon

In this Roleplay, you're in a setting where the best of the best trainers come to prove their worth, catch the very best of the best Pokemon, and do all they can to be The Very Best. Though, being the very best within some realistic limitations. Below are the rules for the Roleplay I expect everyone to follow.

Absolutely no Godmodding of anything in the Roleplays, especially battles. Pokemon battles are something that everyone is going to want to win, and sometimes its hard to decide on a winner. That is why I highly ENCOURAGE that battles between players take place between them on Pokemon Showdown and use that to create a battle scene that you can then write out in the thread! Otherwise without this approach, every battle loss or victory should be discussed with whomever you're batting with OOC no matter what!
Players are encouraged NOT to have duplicate Pokemon on their team. Again, in this region, if you tried to battle anyone with 6 Charizards, you'd be defeated everywhere you go. Your Pokemon teams should have personality and flavor while still being able to battle with others unless you have another drive. If your character doesn't want to focus on battling and would rather focus on Pokemon Contests, then that is fine!! But, this is going to be driven mostly around battling, so do keep that in mind when Team Power shows up to battle you.
Players may not use ANY Legendary Pokemon. Legendary Pokemon cannot be found in Seloh due to them wanting to avoid it at all cost seeing how most Legendary Pokemon never wish to be caught. If you were to bring your Legendary Pokemon in from another land, it would try to flee as soon as it was released from its Pokeball, feeling unsafe due to the nature of Seloh in general.
1. If you're not sure what Legendary Pokemon are, please look at this list. The only one not on this list is Phione.
Gym Leaders cannot change their Gym Team at any time, however they can use alternative Pokemon for their personal team and switch them out as they see fit.
On any team, Players may not have the ability Moody.
Players cannot use any moveset on any Pokémon capable of intentionally causing an endless battle.
- A Pokémon may not carry Recycle and hold a Leppa Berry in conjunction with Heal Pulse and Milk Drink, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Recover, Roost, Slack Off, Soft-Boiled, or Wish. Furthermore, the combinations of Leppa Berryand Recycle with Pain Split or Fling are also illegal.
Players can only have the move Baton Pass on one Pokemon's move set. You may use more than one Pokemon that has Access to the move Baton Pass, but may not use more than 1 Pokemon with it in a battle on their move-list.
There will not be a restricted list or Banned list outside of Legendary Pokemon. That being said, if I feel your team is very "cheesy" and lacks any sort of personality or flavor, I will ask you to redo your team to make something. So, please, don't use a team that looks like: Aegislash, Blaziken, Greninja, Mega-Kangaskhan, Ferrothorn, Skarmory.
Players will need to have a Trainer Card in all of their posts to represent what Pokemon they have with them for the events they wish to be apart of. This way Players can see what you have and won't have a chance to "switch out" their pokemon in the middle of the street. It also gives some representation of your character and their team! Having it at the bottom of every post would be most wonderful.

Background: Michello is a native of Seloh, and has long since aspired to become a Gym Leader, ever since he was a kid. He was always a bit unorthodox, due to his dedication to Normal Type Pokemon, and when said he'd battle through the entire League with just his team of normal 'mon, he was laughed at. Instead of failing, though, he smashed through the entire League, getting all the way to the elite four. Having caught the attention of the higher ups, he was offered a job when another leader stepped down.
Personality: Michello is a big ball of goofy confidence and energy. He defines himself by his positivity and his propensity for being loud, brash, and constantly striving to make people laugh. He is rarely without a giant smile on his face, and he is often seen eating, despite his lean appearance. On the rare occasions he goes quiet and gets serious, Michello presents an awfully scary visage.

Appearance (Written): A tall man, standing at about 6'3, Michello strikes a handsome, lean figure. He has the sort of effortless charm that some people just happen to have; what with his messy head of hair, his leanly fit physique, and his constant, flattering smile. He seems to radiate a sort of confidence and enthusiasm that wins him over with a great many people, and that happens to make him very popular with his small cadre of fans.

    Gender: Male
    Ability: Toxic Boost
    Personality/Story: Michallo's first caught Pokémon, and a mainstay on his team ever since he was a kid. Zangoose has long since held a special place in the Normal trainer's heart because of their close bond. The two act more like goofy friends than master and 'mon; especially since Zangoose gives more than 100% to fight.

    Personality/Story: Michello's all-star Pokémon, and one of perhaps the most well-known on his roster, Lopunny serves as much as a mascot of the Gym as its greatest hurdles. The Lopunny enjoys attention in all forms, and is especially fond of praise from other trainers and from Michello.

    Gender: Male
    Ability: Immunity
    Personality/Story: Another of Michello's long-standing team-members, Snorlax likes nothing more than to laze about in the gym and ignore the challengers that approach. Sadly for him, Michello knows how much of a beast that Andre can be, and often calls him out to battle. The Snorlax doesn't seem too much mind, as Michello rewards every win with a hefty meal.

    Personality/Story: One of Michello's two newest additions, Porygon2 is a bit of a strange addition to the team. Both it and Porygon-Z seem to serve as guards to the gym; patrolling it and watching up-and-coming challengers with a sort of cryptic curiosity. DB is the slightly more inquisitive of the two, sometimes approaching challengers and staring at them with a curious glare.

    Personality/Story: : One of Michello's two newest additions, Porygon-Z is another oddball addition to the team. Both it and Porygon2 serve as the Gym's guardians; patrolling it and watching up-and-coming challengers with a sort of cryptic curiosity. Porygon-Z is the more cautious of the two Porygons, keeping further back and waiting to see what challengers might do before it may approach. He's been known to try and spook challengers though, with funny tricks and dubious japes.

    Gender: Male
    Ability: Huge Power
    Personality/Story: Diggersby is another strange addition to Michello's team, mostly because he seems out of place. The pokemon looks like a sort of joke, compared to the hulking Snorlax, or the speedy Lopunny, or the Strange Porygons. That only serves to fire him up more though, and the Diggersby often ends up going on a mad tear through the Gym, beating down anyone who doesn't take him seriously. Truth be told, some challengers never admit to fighting Michello, because of the embarrassment of losing the little chubby Bunny from Hell.

  - Pokémon Species: Mega-Khangaskhan
    Gender: Female
    Ability: Early Bird//Parental Bond
    Personality/Story: Michello's first Pokémon, and the matron-saint of his Gym. He never uses Julia in battles anymore, because he'd rather let her rest up and look after her kid. Julia mostly serves as a bouncer, for when things get real dangerous. She's kind-hearted and sweet most of the time, but if anyone threatens Michello, Julia is likely to go on a tear and beat the person, pokemon, or team half-to-death! When Michello is concerned, Julia seems to treat him more like a child than a trainer; wiping his face if he gets dirty, or pushing him along towards dinner or appointments. Their bond is closer than anyone else might now, thanks to a number of harrowing adventures from the Trainer's youth.

    Gender: Female
    Ability: Reckless
    Personality/Story: Another of Michello's Pokémon from an age long-past, Skyler sort of just lives inside the Gym as an (if you'll excuse the pun) free-bird. She's extremely loyal of Michello, and often watches his battle from the rafters of the roof; overlooking the battle with an eagle-eye and seemingly a lot of interest. She seemingly longs to be put back on the main roster, but has relented to the current team for whatever reason.

Orientation: Straight

Background: Zachariah was born in Sinnoh, as the son of a great businessman. Their business empire stretched far and wide, until one fateful day. It was to them unknown what exactly happened, but their fortune disappeared. Now forced to live in a home more humble in Sandgem, Zachariah lived his life, dreaming of seeing the world. One day, in a painful approach with a fellow student, he met with Tasha. Helping him catch his first Pokémon, she eventually was the one to help him out of his father's clutches and into the wild.

For years they stayed together, braving whatever climate could be braved. Their final endeavor together was on Sinnoh's highest mountain, on which they got separated due to a blizzard. Desperately trying to find each other, Tasha was through mysterious means transported somewhere far away, and Zachariah found himself in the small mountainside village of Akuledas. Most of its population centered on fishing and driving cattle, Zachariah found his place in the village as its gym leader.

In this village he stayed, fighting other trainers lost enough to stumble upon it. Although he liked his current state of life, he wanted to travel, after all. After hearing news of a small crime-fighting organization by the name of Team Energy seeking members, he was quick to throw himself over the offer. Although, their first mission, a break-in in a Team Rocket base, proved tougher than they could handle, and Zachariah left the team.

Now back in Akuledas, news did again get to him about the recently discovered region of Seloh, and his interest was yet again peaked. He bid his fellow villagers farewell, and travelled off to take his position as resident gym leader. Fortunately, as the region at the time was yet to get properly known, few changes and additions to his team were made before almost without competition claiming a spot as a more official gym leader there.

Personality: Zachariah does in many ways hold a somewhat childish personality. He is optimistic, friendly to a fault, and careful with his definition of evil. He does maybe not go to extremes to get people what they need, but he would if he could. He can be oblivious to his own inability to perform certain tasks, and appears proud of his own work, whatever both of those might be.

When plagued or annoyed for long enough, Zachariah can reach a point where some deeply buried anger takes over his mind, and he becomes a literal monster, using his Pokémon to end whatever made him like that.

Appearance: Zachariah comes off as a laid-back teenager, dressed in a wind-tight jacket, woolen white scarf, darker blue pants, and heavy snow boots, fit for travelling in the snow. His face is friendly, though his skin is somewhat dry and greatly pale. His blue, bowl-cut hair, is to the surprise of most never held under any form of hat, despite the cold he lived in.

Personality/Story: In a similar manner to Zach's two Walreins, this Avalugg's personality differs from his first. When he has his eyes on an opponent, they are on the opponent. Although sometimes that look he gives them is a bit more teasing and flirtatious than Zachariah is comfortable with.

Ability: Snow Cloak
Personality/Story: Froslass is of a quiet type. She dislikes most attention, and appears sad at most times. Orders are answered with an unenthusiastic nod.
She is just any regular old Froslass, chilling by the mountain Zachariah and Tasha was separated on. Once he saw her, he though he was Tasha, fearing she had died, and was according to tales reborn as one. He caught her, and she has since stayed by his side. He has a bad habit of constantly apologizing to her.

Ability: Own Tempo
Personality/Story: Avalugg appears for the most distant, not really focusing too much on the present. Whether he is thoughtful or just absent-minded, Zach doesn't know. While he does as a general accept orders without protest, he does have his time of reacting.
Annoyed over how he lost, a trainer that challenged Zachariah left him just outside his gym, pummeled in the snow by his other Pokémon, deemed weak. Zachariah found out, and took him in.

Personality/Story: Zachariah found it in a cave nearby his home during a blizzard, and it received shelter from him. Grateful for saving his life, the Amaura approved of his request to stay by his side. Amaura was, prior to being found by Zachariah, abandoned by several other trainers, finding him too weak to battle competitively, and he has therefore grown distrustful of most humans. Other than this he shows great enthusiasm when met with something he likes, like fish. Sometimes a bit too enthusiastic.[/spoili]

Background:
-Hailing from Jubilife City in the Sinnoh region, Lily started off with only a Togepi and Gastly that she got for her 10th birthday on her team, before travelling across the region in hopes to complete the Sinnoh League. Of course, she was accompanied by her mother throughout this journey because she was underaged.
-It took her 2 years to finish the Sinnoh League, a little bit longer than usual, but that was because she was also taking time to explore every little part of the region that she had never been to before, as well as training her Pokemon intensely.
-Afterwards, Lily took a 4 year break from Pokemon battling because her parents wanted her to focus on school.
-As soon as she turned 16, with the permission from her parents, Lily embarked on a journey to the Kalos region to participate in the Kalos League.
-It only took her 6 months to finish the Kalos League as during the journey, Lily became more and more passionate for Pokemon battling, as well as learning from her losses.
-At the same time, she grew an odd fond of Fairy types.
-Without missing a beat, when she heard about the Battle Frontiers making a comeback in Sinnoh, Lily immediately went back in hopes to complete that too.
-And she did, although she found it extremely difficult...Hall Matron Argenta really gave Lily a run for her money.
-Not long after, she conquered the Hoenn League in only 2 months, and even got to challenge Steven.
-Inevitably, Lily lost, and at that point she realised that she still had a lot to learn, so she decided to fly to Seloh after hearing it was the place for trainers to hone their skills.
-As soon as she landed on the soils of Seloh, Lily began to train her Pokemons a lot, all while giving them love and care. She wanted to be a trainer that's forced to be reckoned with.
-One day, she heard that one of the Gyms in Anson City was closing down and was in desperate need for another Gym. Thus, Lily decided to apply for the role and got accepted as the Fairy Gym Leader just after she turned 19.
Personality: Formal and tranquil, Lily is said to be one of the calmer Gym Leaders in the city, even when she's on the verge of losing, she never lost her cool. Even so, she is still just as passionate in Pokemon battling when she was a child. However, Lily has an intense dislike for trainers who do not understand what Pokemon battling is all about.

Also arguably Lily's strongest Pokemon. Oddly friendly with Jubilee. Story Tl;dr: It was also the Pokemon that Lily since her newbie days. Although it was extremely disobedient during it's stage as a Gastly, after a certain incident, it now follows Lily's every command with no questions asked...Although it still likes to scare her on rare occasions. The Gengarite was actually stolen by Rengar himself...and Lily has no idea who the original owner of the stone was. Position: Fast Special Sweeper	Nickname: Leviathan Gender: Male Ability: Contrary Personality: Extremely arrogant and likes to be "on top of the food chain". In terms of looks, Leviathan thinks Undine as a rival...although the latter doesn't even care. Although, it backs up it's boasting with its power. Background: Targen used to be in the Army, fighting alongside pokemon in battle. During one mission though he found himself trapped in a burning building, with no way out he was doomed to suffocate to death only for his Arcanine to find him last minute and save him. After that mission he retired from Military Service, taking his pokemon and his hardened battle experience to Seloh where one eventually earned the title of Gym Leader.
Personality: Serious and to the point, Targen prefers to focus on the task at hand with anything he tackles. He isn't focusing on anything important though Targen prefers to spend his free time mostly fishing, hunting or just taking walks around town. He has been town to take part in pokemon contests time to time though. When out of town and in the Gym he has a tedency to let his pokemon out of their pokeballs to do their own thing.

  Wannyan was born in Hoenn in Lilycove to a family of sailors. They were well-known for sailing a majority of the region without rest, mapmakers for the oceans. She spent most of her childhood staying in the comforts of Lilycove City with a gift from her father to keep her company - an Azurill she named 'Uguu-chan'. At the age of eight, she was finally allowed to sail the seas along with her parents. She was a natural in the ocean, able to predict where the strong winds would come and the safest routes on the rough seas. Even her parents were surprised. But it was a feeling in her gut she never ignored, and she was always right. The sea was her friend.
  
  Growing tired of life in the Hoenn region, she set herself on a journey to sail the Seven Seas. Off she went, away from the region she called home with her trusty Marill by her side. They encountered and pushed past monster waves and howling winds, intent on stopping her journey dead in its tracks. But Wannyan, despite her size, was not someone who wouldn't go down so easily.
  
  She sailed to Kanto and battled. many trainers. A strange man offered her an Old Rod. And there she met her second partner, a lovely little Magikarp. The young girl had found it amusing how odd it looked, but trained it nevertheless. It was a surprise to her when her new friend finally evolved, taking the form of a monstrous, dragon-like Pokemon whose roar filled the skies.
  
  Off she went to Sinnoh, where a new member joined her team. A Feebas, an ugly fish that flopped right onto shore when she fished in an eerie cave, hoping to catch something unique to the region. Wannyan was not a person who would toss aside Pokemon. And she never regretted it when the Feebas, named Nuregami, transformed into a beautiful serpent, gleaming eyes and bright scales, meeting her eyes for the first time.
  
  At long last, she made her way to the region of Seloh. It was unmapped, and that was what truly excited her. A place that no one had mapped the seas of? What new friends could she make, what Pokemon would she see? This was truly a place her friends could grow.

  Wannyan is a tough girl. And a softie. She's matured from her journey sailing around the Seven Seas and knows when it is time to be serious both in different situations and as her job as an Elite Four member of the Seloh Region. At the same time, she's not afraid to drop a few jokes or prod and make fun of other people lightheartedly. In her heart she is still a child, loves to dress up and dress other people up, have a soft spot for romance novels and run around seeking the 'Seas of Love'. Wannyan will sneak under dinner tables and steal food, or the person who would eat the last packet of chips. She can be lazy and unresponsive, or she can be a bounding ball of energy ready to help in any way she can. She finds it incredibly amusing when other people make fun of her height, especially when they don't know of her adventures around the world.
  
  Although she takes her battling seriously, she's not bent on winning all the time. She understands that losses will happen and that it simply means she has room for improvement. As long as she and her Pokemon had fun and no one got seriously injured, she's willing to battle with a trainer for as long as they want. As a gift of kindness, she may even give you free bottles of Fresh Water or Soda Pop!

  Wannyan stands at 4'11, a short girl with a petite figure and somewhat tanned skin. Her hair has been bleached and dyed a light sky blue, cut short with long bangs that peep out from the hood she normally wears. Her eyes are a sparkling blue, full of curiousity and cheekiness, plotting the next prank to play on someone. Her limbs are thin, but stronger than they look. Due to her short height, she also happens to be light, allowing her Pokemon to easily carry her through the seas.
  
  She's often found wearing Azumarill hoodies and capes with matching dresses and shoes. She shamelessly walks around with an Azumarill tail attached to her, bouncing along behind her as she walks.

However, when it comes to battling, as soon as the skies begin to darken with storm clouds, Ludiyolo becomes Ludimofo.

Seems interested in Wannyan's potential and is very grateful of he raising him since young.

She's enamoured by the world of alternative fashion, and is always sure to pick clothes that accentuate her best features, and has the confidence and self esteem not to want for what she does not have.

  Ilus Khivt was born in the Kanto region, to a pair of fairly wealthy parents. Their family owned a small string of general stores, selling a variety of medicines to up and coming trainers. Oftentimes, Ilus was in the store, tended to by his parents in between their work. When he was five years old, Team Rocket's influence began to grow, putting pressure on the region. It was no longer safe for children to battle, their pokemon liable to be stolen by those who were driven by greed. A threat came to their shop once, a group of grunts demanding they give up their entire stock to them. His parents weren't battlers, and cooperated easily. They were left with empty shelves and a new fear. It was only a few days later that their lives were packed up, and the family moved as far away from the strife as they could, to a small village in Seloh.
  
  The village was quiet, the community close knit and somewhat cold to outsiders. Ilus' father would bike an hour to and from work each and everyday, their small family struggling to keep afloat. One day, he returned with a pokeball, handing it to a now seven year old Ilus, telling him it was his. He wouldn't find out until later that his father had been saving a small amount from every paycheck to afford such a luxury, and his parents had fought bitterly over what the money should have been spent on. But young Ilus didn't care, eager to show off his new Zubat to the neighborhood. Fearless and personable, he approached everyone he could, excitedly claiming his pokemon to be the best ever. Most adults ignored him, some humoring him and indulging in his excitement. The kids were the worst, knowing how common Zubats were across the land. Ilus tried not to care too much, pulling away from others his age.
  
  It was a lonely adolescence, not that he was entirely closed off from the community, doing favours around town for pocket change, but he did spend much of his time at home with his family. His splintering family. Finally it became too much, and every cent he'd saved over the years was put into passage out of Seloh and into Unova. Dirt broke and a long way from home, Ilus had one and only shot. Make it through the league or be lost and forgotten. Convincing Juniper that he was ready, that he was capable of taking on the league, took a bit of work, laying on charms and putting on airs of maturity he didn't have. Forced to grow up quickly. Finally, he whittled down her will, given a trainer's license and his first Unovan pokemon; Snivy. It was a hard beginning, learning on the fly how battles worked, how to deal with wild pokemon. But finally, he began progressing, winning minor battles and pocket change. It was enough to keep going, though more often then not he was sleeping on the floor of the pokemon centers.
  
  Once he had gotten a handle of the basics, battle came easy to the young trainer. Young, scrappy and hungry, he did not throw away his shot. Money began pouring in from the battles, able to live more comfortably than he ever had back home. He became closer and closer with his team, finding he enjoyed the company of pokemon far more than that of other people. And so he stopped bothering with them all together, unless it was strictly necessary. The Unova league fell before him, blasting through the champion with ease (he didn't think Aldar was really trying...) He had more wealth than he knew what to with. He had proven himself, he could always return home. But the thought of going back to that broken home didn't appeal to him. Still, he figured getting in touch with his parents was a good idea. He wasn't surprised, but disappointed all the same, to find that his parents had split in his absence, mother still living in that small village, his father having left to the city without much of a way to contact him.
  
  He wired most of his funds to his mother, knowing she would be struggling even more now that his father was gone, leaving just enough for him to get started in another league. His first thoughts were to head for Johto, having heard it was a rather beautiful area, and it was farther than anything he'd ever known. He had the need to travel farther and experience more. But Johto was recovering from their own run in with Team Rocket. Hopefully the last one the world would ever need deal with. The Johto league closed for the foreseeable future, Ilus instead turned his sights on Kanto. The region had rebuilt after running out Team Rocket, and the league was now stronger than ever. With a newfound purpose, the young man began the long journey back to the region of his birth. He decided to start with an all new team, save his Golbat, far too attached to the bat. Meeting Oak, Ilus once again chose a grass starter, Bulbasaur.
  
  The Kanto league went much faster than the one in Unova, Ilus now a veteran to battling and stratagizing. Gym leaders fell before him, one after the other. It wasn't until he hit the poison Gym that he was given a little bit of trouble, finding Golbat the star of his team, unable to fal to Toxic plays. He was sixteen when he finished the Kanto league, beating down the champion Gary Oak. Again, he found himself aimless, finished the goal he'd set out to accomplish. He got in contact with his mother again, finding her distraught. Apparently word had reached his father of his financial situation, and how he'd managed to raise his mother out of poverty. And now he was harassing the woman, claiming he was entitled to half of what she had after having walked out on her. Ilus put all his other plans on hold, returning home to Seloh to deal with the family drama he'd been ignoring.
  
  His father greeted him as though he were overjoyed to see him, trying to wrap him up in a hug he didn't deserve. And he couldn't understand why Ilus would push away his father like this. It was a long, bitter dispute between his family, deflecting his father's anger away from his mother, mediating between them as best he could. It eventually ended with authorities called after the man's temper had flared, striking his mother and marring her face with blue bruises. Ilus watched as his father was arrested, hating him and hating that it was his fault the fight had happened in the first place. He wanted to run, to leave this home behind, but he couldn't leave his mother in such a vulnerable state. So he stayed, lingered by her side and tried to get her life back on track. The town seemed to grow smaller and smaller with each passing year, and his mother wasn't getting better, afraid to approach others. Afraid to have them approach her. She locked herself up in that tiny home. Eventually, Ilus couldn't stay with her any longer. Their funds were dwindling without a steady income, and the only skills he had were in battling.
  
  Seloh's league was known for being merciless, only the best of the best attempting the gauntlet of battles. He didn't think he was ready for such a challenge. His mother begged him not to leave, screamed that he was just like his father, walking out on her. He made promises to return, prying iron fingers from his body as he left for Kalos. It was an easy league, picking up a Froakie and once again starting over, his only constant companion his now Crobat. Or rather, it had been and easy league until he became walled by the fairy gym. It was an entirely new type that he had no experience with. It was frustrating, losing to prissy pink fairy princesses. Trying again and again, learning a little more each time he made an attempt. Poison. Poison was the counter to fairies. And so his fixation on poison pokemon was born, sweeping the gym easily afterward. He kept the monotyping, building strategies around them, carrying him the rest of the way through the league, along with his Greninja.
  
  He raced home afterwards, finding his mother living in squalor, unable to care for herself in her fractured state. It was too much, he couldn't care for her and make a living the way he wanted at the same time. Swallowing his guilt, he surrendered her to a home, a private institute that promised the best of care. But it was expensive, and he couldn't guarantee a steady income on beating leagues alone. It was stroke of luck that he stumbled across the notice for new gym leaders and elite four for the Seloh league. He had one shot, aiming as high as he dared, he challenged for a seat on the Elite 4, fighting bitter and hard for the position. Eventually he came out the victor, claiming the spot and taking the poison monotype, at the age of 20. The next few weeks were spent aggressively training and breeding the perfect pokemon he needed for his team, grooming them to perfection to ensure that no one would simple walk in and take his position.
  
  Personality: Ilus, at first glances, appears to be a rather personable fellow. All smiles and charm in the beginning, able to easily win over others. However, spend some time with the man and you will soon find that there is almost no one he loves more than himself. There's a strong arrogent streak in him, and his favourite thing in the world is watching unprepared trainers attempt to take on the Seloh league. He loves to see the light die in their eyes as they realize just how far they have to go before they are anywhere near ready to attempt another run.

  Everlyn started training at a very young age, getting her first Fennekin at the age of 7. She loved her fox pokemon, and she wanted to be everywhere with her pokemon. She never had it out of her pokeball, and she often started cosplaying as her Fennekin as well! The two were inseperable, and by the time she was 10, her father taught her the art of Pokemon Battling. She wasn't sure at first that she even wanted her pokemon to be in battles, she didn't like her getting hurt... However, once she saw how strong her Fennekin was, she couldn't help but want to keep training! By the time she was 12, she had a small team of 4 Pokemon, her Fennekin now a Braixen, Buneary which was a gift from her father, Feebas which she caught while fishing one day, and Murkrow which was her very first Pokemon that she caught all on her own in the grass. She felt that she had learned enough to start taking on the Gym Leaders of Kalos, her home Region, leaving her home town of Lumios behind for now.
  
  By the time she finished the Pokemon League in Kalos, she had a team of Delphox, Milotic, Garchomp, Honchkrow, Arcanine, and Mega-Lopunny. It was a very good team, and she decided that she wanted to keep battling in Lumios after learning all that she did along the way. She battled long and hard day after day with some of the best trainers in the city, often doing triple battles to hone in on her skills! Soon enough, she was very well known through-out Kalos as the, "Lumios Battle Brawler". The Brawler definately came from her father Cage, who was a very big fighting type advocate.
  
  By the time she was 17, she had earned about 10 Million Pokedollars from all her battling and good investments, and she decided it was time that she went out and started battling all over the world. She went to Region to Region, battling all the way to the Pokemon League and even up to the Champion, defeating them with a new team each time. She continued to battle hard with her Delphox, but one day some friends she met who were from Hoenn wanted to trade Pokemon, trading her a Torchic. She already had quite the passion for fire Pokemon, and soon enough she had her very own Blaziken!! Blaziken and Delphox were like Yin and Yang to Everlyn. Blaziken was very aggressive and took the battle head on, where Delphox was more collected and exploited her foes weaknesses any way she could. They focused on harming their foes weaknesses, Blaziken fighting off Psychic Types with her Dark moves, and Delphox handling water pokemon with grass and electric moves. They were quite the powerful pair, and Everlyn never went out without at least one of them.
  
  By the time she was 25, she went home to spend some time with her family, talking about all her adventures and different Pokemon she had aquired. She had nearly a full Pokedex, but it still was missing quite a few. That was when her family suggested that she go check out Seloh! They had so many pokemon go and migrate there as of recent, they thought it would be good that she tried to catch the rest of her pokemon there. She hadn't been to Seloh all but once, but she figured she should give it another shot for sure!
  
  That is when she heard the Champion of Seloh was stepping down, and anyone who could complete the entire Pokemon League would have a chance to defeat him and claim his spot as Champoin!!! This was Everlyn's dream, and she had to go for it!! Sure enough, with a lot of hard work and determination, she finally did it and became Champion! Once she was Champion, she got very involved in Seloh, making it as great as she could. She gave lots of suggestions on how to help the town, how to make Gyms better, all sorts of things! The community loved her, and she loved them. Seloh was truly her home, and it was her home to stay. She even built her house right behind the Pokemon Stadium so she could live right close to work, and put some of her money to good use.
  
  Now she spends her taiys training hard for new challengers that might come to face her, learning all the ins and outs of Pokemon and how to be the best Champion possible. She also made sure to intervine in any of Team Power's plans whenever she would, wanting to be a true menance to them any time she saw them.

  Background: A mysterious woman who seemingly appeared out of nowhere, Nina has recently started to make a name for herself after going on a bit of a tear; hunting down and bashing members of Team Power. She never hands them over to the authorities, but members of the public reportedly see the woman appear out of nowhere when the villains attack; beat down the bad-guys with a brutal efficiency, and then leave without a word. Police and members of the public are keenly interested in tracking her down though, if only to ask questions. Because she isn't vilified in anyway, and her attacks on Team Power have, for the most part, been kept hush-hush, she is able to walk around in public rather easily.
  
  Personality: Nina comes across as a very cold person, and it probably wouldn't be an inaccurate statement. She has a certain resentment for weak people, and her personality borders on the cruel and the cold when she's first meeting with an individual. It's only after a person proves themselves to be strong that she becomes interested in them; treating them as equals, and actually bothering to hold more than a single line of dialogue with them at a time. To the select few that might get close to her, they'd realise that Nina is a somewhat demanding friend, putting her own needs before others in the broadest sense, and only focusing on the needs of her friends when it either suits her, or she thinks it is important. This selfishness makes her a bit of a lone-wolf, but on rare occasions, she finds herself drawn to individuals - Normally the exceptionally strong. These moments of attraction have her act far more civil towards the object of her desire, as she tries to ensnare them and make them hers; an extension of her somewhat-selfish attitude.

The Mega-Sharpedo seems to follow Nina with a very obvious loyalty, seeing her as the Alpha in a large pack. It carefully eyes anybody, man or Pokémon, who gets too close to Nina.

    Personality/Story: A big power-house of a Pokémon, Conkeldurr acts like a brutish bodyguard; beating up anyone who Nina points him towards with a sort of thugish grin on his face. Much like the Sharpedo, Conkeldurr defers to Nina as a leader, although more like a leader of a street gang than as a leader of a more animalistic pack.

    Personality/Story: A speedy Pokémon with the personality of a shinobi, Greninja is often used by Nina to hunt down or track things that she's seeking. The Greninja view Nina like a venerable lord; obeying any request without question. This is most important considering how often Nina's requests put the Greninja in some form of peril.

    Personality/Story: A Pokémon with a more playful attitude than most of Nina's partners, Crobat serves as a secondary scout; supporting Greninja in whatever requests Nina has of them, which normally revolves around hunting down and tracking Team Power members. Crobat sees Nina in the same way a Falcon might view its handler: there is respect, and almost a sense of awe from the Crobat, which culminates in a deep and unquestioning trust.

    Personality/Story: A powerful and fearsome creature; Tyranitar serves as a sort of confidant to Nina - blocking the way of anyone who would go after her master with a fierce loyalty and a frightening vigil.   Background:
  Natalie was born into a pokemon oriented house in the Hoenn Region to a Pokemon Ranger of a mother and a Pokemon Researcher of a father; however, while they allowed Natalie to tag along whenever possible their career paths often kept them away from home. When Natalie couldn't go to work with them she was left with her aunt on her father's side, who entertained the young girl with stories of her adventures back when she used to be a trainer. These stories ultimately influenced her own choice in career and when she became ten-years-old she received a Mudkip as a starter pokemon, not unlike many other children native to Hoenn. She then went on to build her team up with a Shroomish, Onix, Budew, Lickitung, and Wingull.
  
  Unfortunately for her, beating all eight gym leaders was quite the challenge, and unwilling to switch out her first team of Pokemon she eventually returned home to help out her parents. Nearly two years went by before she met a particular Quagsire, and only then did she get the bright idea to try again, but this time in another region entirely. Realizing Quagsire's potential as a tank, she built him up and went on to challenge the gym leaders of Johto. She managed to do better but just barely. She ended up back home again. Another four years went by and when she thought she gave up hope on becoming a pokemon champion, she joined her mother on a patrol. They ended up stumbling across an abandoned Toxicroak and after making sure it was healthy and it indeed, in fact, didn't have an owner (or at least one that didn't want it any more), Natalie made the decision to take it back to the Sinnoh region. Curious as to wear it came from, she decided to do some exploring and caught wind of the Pokemon League. With Toxicroak's approval she ended up including him on her team and went on to face the gym. Before she could get very far, however, her father fell ill and she withdrew to return home.
  
  From then on, her father's health continued to rise and fall due to the stress his work placed him under until he was eventually forced to resign. For a while, Natalie stayed home to take care of him but once his health finally stabilized he urged her to continue her Pokemon journey. By then another four years have passed and she nearly reconsidered, but her interest in the Kalos region, sparked by more of her aunt's stories, was what ultimately lead her to compete in the Kalos Pokemon League. There, she acquired a Snugbull, a Noibat, and a Fennekin, and raised them until they were each fully evolved. With her team's new addition to replace some weakspots in her last team, she went to beat all of the gym leaders but the Elite Four proved to be too difficult for her. Once more she returned home.
  
  It's been another four years since then and Natalie recently caught wind of the fabeled Seloh region. Her original intentions were to just check it out, but she can't seem to help being caught up in all the excitement once more.

  Natalie is a lively, active young woman who enjoys chatting up people. She likes being in the company of people and pokemon alike and can be good at handling both; however, she can be a bit loud, bordering obnoxious, and sometimes says things she can't always back up. She can be a little too bold and reckless, enjoying the attention her antics give her. This need for attention was what drove her to dye her hair a bubble gum pink and wear clothes meant to draw the eye, though they have their moments of convenience, especially if she plans on taking a dip. Unfortunately, despite her disposition one of her notable faults lies in being impatient, which can lend itself to hasty decisions during a pokemon battle, or irritable if the battle drags on too long. She's can't help being passive/aggressive towards people who rub her the wrong way and spiteful towards those who cross her. In the end, what it all comes down to is how easily it is to discourage her sometimes.

  Natalie had recently dyed her hair a nice bubble gum pink, loving the attention it draws to her. It's also a nice compliment to her light blue eyes, or "Quagsire" blue eyes as she likes to call them. Her fair skin provides a nice backdrop for both colors, stretched over lean muscles developed over years of swimming as a way to keep herself occupied when she's not travelling around to compete in the occasional Pokemon League. In a way of dress, she prefers clothes that compliments her builds; cropped tops and low riding jeans so to speak. Sometimes on may catch her wearing her bathing suit under her clothes when not planning on walking long distances, though sometimes she'll catch herself trying to strip at the mere sight of a body of water despite not wearing appropriate swim wear underneath. Topping off her outfits is a small duffle bag to store everything, complete with multiple pockets. It wasn't by no means cheap but it sure does its job. Around her hips in a belted pokeball holster where she keeps her main team.

  Quagsire is an easygoing Pokemon who's better at "taking it" than "dishing it out", from pranks to snide remarks. He holds his own just as well in battle. Standing larger than most Quagsire at 4'10, he makes for quite the imposing figure. But, honestly, he's the pokemon to chill with if you need to relax, even if he has his moments of spontaneous splashing and his favorite game is shark in the water.

That's the pokemon he is; either all in or all out. But he takes loses hard and will often be found sulking with his trainer after a battle they couldn't manage to win.   Swamper is a mellow pokemon who is hard to provoke and prefers to relax with his buddy, Little Blue. On the battlefield, he prefers to take it easy on smaller or hurt opponents and this can sometimes lead underestimating him opponent but he means well, honestly. To him, winning and losing doesn't really mean much as long as you learn something along the way.

In fact, she kind of spoils him. But as unlikely as it maybe, Rocky Bull tries his best in battles for his trainer.

  Background: Gold began his pokemon journey as a teenager, much like many others, with the hopes of becoming a master. He and Wrex went through years in the wilderness and hopping from town to town. But nowadays gyms are little more than a test to see how strong his team has become--a secondary goal. Five years ago, a good friend of his was taken by team rocket, and Gold chased after to find him. Helping law enforcement as much as he could, they managed to locate and shut down the hideout where his friend had been taken. But he had been too late. His friend was crippled for life, having lost the ability to use both of her legs, and all but one of her pokemon were killed by experiments. Gold now travels not to become a master, but to annihilate any criminal organization that would use pokemon for its ends. He has come to Seloh following the stories of team power, and doesn't plan on leaving until they are completely and totally gone.
  Personality: Gold often seems reserved, though not unfriendly. He often will engage in conversation with younger and/or less-experienced trainers to find how their own journeys have been progressing. When looking at the pokemon of others he has a tendency to come off as judgmental, carefully examining how trainer and partner interact.   [BCOLOR=transparent]Not all the stories of Cole's Pokemon are happy ones. They sometimes are tales of abandon. And Gible grew up that way. As a young Gible, Chewy had a different owner than Cole. This owner didn't treat him right, but he learned and evolved. But the trainer didn't love him and thought Chewy was kind of reckless destructive force. Frustrated with his owner Chewy had a habit of biting on everything as a young Gabite might would. But it got to the point where his former trainer didn't want Chewy any more. One day abandoning him without a care at a Pokemon Center. The Nurse there took care of Chewy, but didn't really know what to do with the young Gabite. No trainer would do. After being abandoned and abused for so long Chewy trusted no one. Till one day he met Cole. It was not that Cole was more special than the trainers, but that Cole respected Chewy with a kind of kindness no one else had done so. He wasn't just another trainer who wanted to battle him. Cole showed him music. Showed him the dancing Krokorok. Cole didn't expect anything, but to make Chewy's life a bit better. In return Chewy decided to join Cole and become an entertainer. They been inseparable since. He got his name from Cole, to erase the bad memories of his horrible trainer, upon Garchomp's request.[/BCOLOR]

On top of snowy mountains Cole and his Pokemon were trying to make it to the next town over. But one wrong turn lead Cole into a dangerous blizzard. When he woke up from passing out, it seemed a family of Abomasnow had helped him. Though there was only one curious to him. Which was a young, lonely Snover who seemed to have no interest in the same games as the other Snover. It was a quiet Snover, someone who didn't like to talk a lot and Cole quickly became attached to its personality. Holding lots of small quiet conversations with the Snover. When the blizzard finally settled and it was time for Cole to leave days later, the Snove set a desire, he said, "I'd like to join your journey, but you're a trainer, aren't you?" Cole found the question curious as most of his Pokemon share very familiar views about battling. Cole told Snover about music, and told Snover about the smiling faces of people. About showing the world a different side of wonderful Pokemon. Snover being lonely at the time liked the sound of connecting with people through their hearts and relationship with music. So he agreed to join Cole and his journey. His name is a play off the weather they met each other in and the condition of wind. Upon Breeze's request.[/BCOLOR][/BCOLOR]

  [BCOLOR=transparent]Rex has a very dignified temper, he is obedient and eager to please, though not easy to get nor is he easy to allow himself to get out of control. He's mild mannered and fancy himself some kind of royalty. He walks with confidence and majestic proudness. He enjoys showing off, but not to the point where it seems like he's being arrogant. He respects Cole, as Cole respects him and Rex has decided that this is the family that he will stand by.[/BCOLOR]

  [BCOLOR=transparent]When they first met Rex was just a tiny paw print Lillipup who belonged to a famed Pokemon Stylist. At this point Cole had gained some of his own renown and despite the Pokemon Stylist not recognized Cole at first and his Pokemon after his first Championship win at Coordination level, the Stylist pleaded that Cole allow him to style his Pokemon. Most of his Pokemon being the mostly hairless type were uninterested in getting painted, though they were surprised with a massage and hot springs.[/BCOLOR]
  
  [BCOLOR=transparent]It seemed this Stylist was also a part time breeder of Stoutlands as well, saying they were his favorite Pokemon. Rex, the specific Lillipup, stood out from all of his brothers and sisters being mild mannered and had a take charge attitude. Like he was some kind of general preparing for the next activity. Cole always had an affinity for strange behaving creatures, so he chatted up the Lillipup while there. When it was all said and done they said their goodbyes and went their separate ways.[/BCOLOR]
  
  [BCOLOR=transparent]Cole still had some coordinations to do in Sinnoh, so he stuck around. It was when he heard news of the elderly Sylist' passing months later that Cole wished the family good tidings. The salon would of course stay open as many of the other families did own the store in the man's passing. What Cole did not expect was the same Lillipup coming up to him months later asking to be part of the performances as well because they were something the old man loved and Lillipup wanted to do something that made the old man happy even in his passing.[/BCOLOR]

  Background: Professor Willows is from Kanto, studying under Professor Oak for a small time when she was about 19. She had done her 1st Pokemon League in Kalos, though she fell short when getting to the Champion. That is when she realized that she didn't quite have the heart for battling, but instead she loved learning all there was about Pokemon and wanted to spend the rest of her days researching all about them!! However, her studies didn't go far with Oak, and she decided that it would be better to head to Kalos and start doing a bit of research there! She was fascinated by the concept of Mega-Evolution and Mega-Stones, something she discovered in her late 20's. She studied long and hard to try to figure out a way to recreate the stones she saw before they were given away by Professor Sycamore, something she argued with about for DAYS!! The research that could have been done if he had just let her have just a few months with them!
  
  None the less, she decided to take a bit of a vacation and that is when she found the small region of Seloh. The thing that drew her in however, were these rocks that when Pokemon drew near them, they would glow! She knew there had to be a connection, and after a few years of research and endless dedication, she figured out the connection to the rocks and Pokemon, they were trying to allow them to Mega-Evolve!! These stones were so plentiful, but she still needed to spend a bit more time fine tuning everything, making sure that the stones did indeed do what she thought. By the time she was 37, her research was finished, and she was able to make her very own Mega-Stone and Mega-Bracelet that Mega-Evolved Pokemon perfectly. The last two years had been very busy as she learned to mass produce the items, and getting them in the hands of good trainers who would put her Mega-Evolution theories to the test!!

  Background: Vale has always lived in Seloh, born to a long line of breeders, the first in line and set to inherit the acreage when his parents passed. From a very young age, he was taught how to care for and provide for the pokemon in his care. The family started with a large variety of pokemon, everything from Beedrill to Swirlix. It was a lot of hard work, memorizing dietary plans, hoof care, brushing fur, and spending time with each pokemon to make sure they were happy. He was meant to have decades upon decades of apprenticeship to his parents before he was put in charge of the whole operation. He was only 16 when his parents caught a terrible sickness, passing swiftly and leaving him to run everything all on his own. It was too much for one person to handle, try as he might. Slowly, the variety of pokemon began to dwindle, the reputation of their facility withering away as he struggled to produce quality pokemon. Something needed to change.
  
  On the verge of bankruptcy and giving up, Vale switched directions. He couldn't do everything, so instead he would focus on mastering one type of pokemon, the most popular of pokemon. Eevees. Everyone loves Eevees, whether for their versatility or their cute charm, everyone always wanted one. He began throwing everything he had into breeding perfect Eevees, and the gamble paid off. People slowly returned to the facility, building up a client base and spreading the word of his work. His family's business was brought back from the brink of ruin, and it still thrives to this day, sharing the joy of Eevees to the farthest of regions.
  
  Personality: People who know Vale would tell you that the man doesn't have a mean bone in his body, all smiles and sunshine. And they'd be right. Truly, the man can sometimes come across as absolutely saccharine, but it's all because he cares so much. And how can anyone be sad when their days are filled with Eevees?! Personable, helpful, maybe a bit too much of a push over. He has a hard time standing up for himself, choosing to laugh off problems that deal with them directly. Even though she may judge someone based on their strength of character, Freya keeps these thoughts to herself and is for the most part very independent. Name: Ilus Khivt

Background:
Ilus Khivt was born in the Kanto region, to a pair of fairly wealthy parents. Their family owned a small string of general stores, selling a variety of medicines to up and coming trainers. Oftentimes, Ilus was in the store, tended to by his parents in between their work. When he was five years old, Team Rocket's influence began to grow, putting pressure on the region. It was no longer safe for children to battle, their pokemon liable to be stolen by those who were driven by greed. A threat came to their shop once, a group of grunts demanding they give up their entire stock to them. His parents weren't battlers, and cooperated easily. They were left with empty shelves and a new fear. It was only a few days later that their lives were packed up, and the family moved as far away from the strife as they could, to a small village in Seloh.

The village was quiet, the community close knit and somewhat cold to outsiders. Ilus' father would bike an hour to and from work each and everyday, their small family struggling to keep afloat. One day, he returned with a pokeball, handing it to a now seven year old Ilus, telling him it was his. He wouldn't find out until later that his father had been saving a small amount from every paycheck to afford such a luxury, and his parents had fought bitterly over what the money should have been spent on. But young Ilus didn't care, eager to show off his new Zubat to the neighborhood. Fearless and personable, he approached everyone he could, excitedly claiming his pokemon to be the best ever. Most adults ignored him, some humoring him and indulging in his excitement. The kids were the worst, knowing how common Zubats were across the land. Ilus tried not to care too much, pulling away from others his age.

It was a lonely adolescence, not that he was entirely closed off from the community, doing favours around town for pocket change, but he did spend much of his time at home with his family. His splintering family. Finally it became too much, and every cent he'd saved over the years was put into passage out of Seloh and into Unova. Dirt broke and a long way from home, Ilus had one and only shot. Make it through the league or be lost and forgotten. Convincing Juniper that he was ready, that he was capable of taking on the league, took a bit of work, laying on charms and putting on airs of maturity he didn't have. Forced to grow up quickly. Finally, he whittled down her will, given a trainer's license and his first Unovan pokemon; Snivy. It was a hard beginning, learning on the fly how battles worked, how to deal with wild pokemon. But finally, he began progressing, winning minor battles and pocket change. It was enough to keep going, though more often then not he was sleeping on the floor of the pokemon centers.

Once he had gotten a handle of the basics, battle came easy to the young trainer. Young, scrappy and hungry, he did not throw away his shot. Money began pouring in from the battles, able to live more comfortably than he ever had back home. He became closer and closer with his team, finding he enjoyed the company of pokemon far more than that of other people. And so he stopped bothering with them all together, unless it was strictly necessary. The Unova league fell before him, blasting through the champion with ease (he didn't think Aldar was really trying...) He had more wealth than he knew what to with. He had proven himself, he could always return home. But the thought of going back to that broken home didn't appeal to him. Still, he figured getting in touch with his parents was a good idea. He wasn't surprised, but disappointed all the same, to find that his parents had split in his absence, mother still living in that small village, his father having left to the city without much of a way to contact him.

He wired most of his funds to his mother, knowing she would be struggling even more now that his father was gone, leaving just enough for him to get started in another league. His first thoughts were to head for Johto, having heard it was a rather beautiful area, and it was farther than anything he'd ever known. He had the need to travel farther and experience more. But Johto was recovering from their own run in with Team Rocket. Hopefully the last one the world would ever need deal with. The Johto league closed for the foreseeable future, Ilus instead turned his sights on Kanto. The region had rebuilt after running out Team Rocket, and the league was now stronger than ever. With a newfound purpose, the young man began the long journey back to the region of his birth. He decided to start with an all new team, save his Golbat, far too attached to the bat. Meeting Oak, Ilus once again chose a grass starter, Bulbasaur.

The Kanto league went much faster than the one in Unova, Ilus now a veteran to battling and stratagizing. Gym leaders fell before him, one after the other. It wasn't until he hit the poison Gym that he was given a little bit of trouble, finding Golbat the star of his team, unable to fal to Toxic plays. He was sixteen when he finished the Kanto league, beating down the champion Gary Oak. Again, he found himself aimless, finished the goal he'd set out to accomplish. He got in contact with his mother again, finding her distraught. Apparently word had reached his father of his financial situation, and how he'd managed to raise his mother out of poverty. And now he was harassing the woman, claiming he was entitled to half of what she had after having walked out on her. Ilus put all his other plans on hold, returning home to Seloh to deal with the family drama he'd been ignoring.

His father greeted him as though he were overjoyed to see him, trying to wrap him up in a hug he didn't deserve. And he couldn't understand why Ilus would push away his father like this. It was a long, bitter dispute between his family, deflecting his father's anger away from his mother, mediating between them as best he could. It eventually ended with authorities called after the man's temper had flared, striking his mother and marring her face with blue bruises. Ilus watched as his father was arrested, hating him and hating that it was his fault the fight had happened in the first place. He wanted to run, to leave this home behind, but he couldn't leave his mother in such a vulnerable state. So he stayed, lingered by her side and tried to get her life back on track. The town seemed to grow smaller and smaller with each passing year, and his mother wasn't getting better, afraid to approach others. Afraid to have them approach her. She locked herself up in that tiny home. Eventually, Ilus couldn't stay with her any longer. Their funds were dwindling without a steady income, and the only skills he had were in battling.

Seloh's league was known for being merciless, only the best of the best attempting the gauntlet of battles. He didn't think he was ready for such a challenge. His mother begged him not to leave, screamed that he was just like his father, walking out on her. He made promises to return, prying iron fingers from his body as he left for Kalos. It was an easy league, picking up a Froakie and once again starting over, his only constant companion his now Crobat. Or rather, it had been and easy league until he became walled by the fairy gym. It was an entirely new type that he had no experience with. It was frustrating, losing to prissy pink fairy princesses. Trying again and again, learning a little more each time he made an attempt. Poison. Poison was the counter to fairies. And so his fixation on poison pokemon was born, sweeping the gym easily afterward. He kept the monotyping, building strategies around them, carrying him the rest of the way through the league, along with his Greninja.

He raced home afterwards, finding his mother living in squalor, unable to care for herself in her fractured state. It was too much, he couldn't care for her and make a living the way he wanted at the same time. Swallowing his guilt, he surrendered her to a home, a private institute that promised the best of care. But it was expensive, and he couldn't guarantee a steady income on beating leagues alone. It was stroke of luck that he stumbled across the notice for new gym leaders and elite four for the Seloh league. He had one shot, aiming as high as he dared, he challenged for a seat on the Elite 4, fighting bitter and hard for the position. Eventually he came out the victor, claiming the spot and taking the poison monotype, at the age of 20. The next few weeks were spent aggressively training and breeding the perfect pokemon he needed for his team, grooming them to perfection to ensure that no one would simple walk in and take his position.

Personality: Ilus, at first glances, appears to be a rather personable fellow. All smiles and charm in the beginning, able to easily win over others. However, spend some time with the man and you will soon find that there is almost no one he loves more than himself. There's a strong arrogent streak in him, and his favourite thing in the world is watching unprepared trainers attempt to take on the Seloh league. He loves to see the light die in their eyes as they realize just how far they have to go before they are anywhere near ready to attempt another run.

-Not long after, she conquered the Hoenn League in only 2 months, and even got to challenge Steven.
-Inevitably, Lily lost, and at that point she realised that she still had a lot to learn, so she decided to fly to Seloh after hearing it was the place for trainers to hone their skills.
-As soon as she landed on the soils of Seloh, Lily began to train her Pokemons a lot, all while giving them love and care. She wanted to be a trainer that's forced to be reckoned with.
-One day, she heard that one of the Gyms in Anson City was closing down and was in desperate need for another Gym. Thus, Lily decided to apply for the role and got accepted as the Fairy Gym Leader just after she turned 19.

She could aptly be described by the term 'bean pole,' but while the term was used in a derogatory manner in her school days, she's come to embrace it as an adult. She's enamoured by the world of alternative fashion, and is always sure to pick clothes that accentuate her best features, and has the confidence and self esteem not to want for what she does not have.

Background: Targen used to be in the Army, fighting alongside pokemon in battle. During one mission though he found himself trapped in a burning building, with no way out he was doomed to suffocate to death only for his Arcanine to find him last minute and save him. After that mission he retired from Military Service, taking his pokemon and his hardened battle experience to Seloh where one eventually earned the title of Gym Leader.
Personality: Serious and to the point, Targen prefers to focus on the task at hand with anything he tackles. He isn't focusing on anything important though Targen prefers to spend his free time mostly fishing, hunting or just taking walks around town. He has been town to take part in pokemon contests time to time though. When out of town and in the Gym he has a tedency to let his pokemon out of their pokeballs to do their own thing.

Wannyan was born in Hoenn in Lilycove to a family of sailors. They were well-known for sailing a majority of the region without rest, mapmakers for the oceans. She spent most of her childhood staying in the comforts of Lilycove City with a gift from her father to keep her company - an Azurill she named 'Uguu-chan'. At the age of eight, she was finally allowed to sail the seas along with her parents. She was a natural in the ocean, able to predict where the strong winds would come and the safest routes on the rough seas. Even her parents were surprised. But it was a feeling in her gut she never ignored, and she was always right. The sea was her friend.

Growing tired of life in the Hoenn region, she set herself on a journey to sail the Seven Seas. Off she went, away from the region she called home with her trusty Marill by her side. They encountered and pushed past monster waves and howling winds, intent on stopping her journey dead in its tracks. But Wannyan, despite her size, was not someone who wouldn't go down so easily.

She sailed to Kanto and battled. many trainers. A strange man offered her an Old Rod. And there she met her second partner, a lovely little Magikarp. The young girl had found it amusing how odd it looked, but trained it nevertheless. It was a surprise to her when her new friend finally evolved, taking the form of a monstrous, dragon-like Pokemon whose roar filled the skies.

Off she went to Sinnoh, where a new member joined her team. A Feebas, an ugly fish that flopped right onto shore when she fished in an eerie cave, hoping to catch something unique to the region. Wannyan was not a person who would toss aside Pokemon. And she never regretted it when the Feebas, named Nuregami, transformed into a beautiful serpent, gleaming eyes and bright scales, meeting her eyes for the first time.

At long last, she made her way to the region of Seloh. It was unmapped, and that was what truly excited her. A place that no one had mapped the seas of? What new friends could she make, what Pokemon would she see? This was truly a place her friends could grow.

P e r s o n a l i t y

"Hey! Don't look down on me jus' because I'm small!"

Wannyan is a tough girl. And a softie. She's matured from her journey sailing around the Seven Seas and knows when it is time to be serious both in different situations and as her job as an Elite Four member of the Seloh Region. At the same time, she's not afraid to drop a few jokes or prod and make fun of other people lightheartedly. In her heart she is still a child, loves to dress up and dress other people up, have a soft spot for romance novels and run around seeking the 'Seas of Love'. Wannyan will sneak under dinner tables and steal food, or the person who would eat the last packet of chips. She can be lazy and unresponsive, or she can be a bounding ball of energy ready to help in any way she can. She finds it incredibly amusing when other people make fun of her height, especially when they don't know of her adventures around the world.

Although she takes her battling seriously, she's not bent on winning all the time. She understands that losses will happen and that it simply means she has room for improvement. As long as she and her Pokemon had fun and no one got seriously injured, she's willing to battle with a trainer for as long as they want. Wannyan stands at 4'11, a short girl with a petite figure and somewhat tanned skin. Her hair has been bleached and dyed a light sky blue, cut short with long bangs that peep out from the hood she normally wears. Her eyes are a sparkling blue, full of curiousity and cheekiness, plotting the next prank to play on someone. Her limbs are thin, but stronger than they look. Due to her short height, she also happens to be light, allowing her Pokemon to easily carry her through the seas.

She's often found wearing Azumarill hoodies and capes with matching dresses and shoes. She shamelessly walks around with an Azumarill tail attached to her, bouncing along behind her as she walks.

However, when it comes to battling, as soon as the skies begin to darken with storm clouds, Ludiyolo becomes Ludimofo.

Seems interested in Wannyan's potential and is very grateful of he raising him since young.

Name: Zachariah Glazachio

Background: Zachariah was born in Sinnoh, as the son of a great businessman. Their business empire stretched far and wide, until one fateful day. It was to them unknown what exactly happened, but their fortune disappeared. Now forced to live in a home more humble in Sandgem, Zachariah lived his life, dreaming of seeing the world. One day, in a painful approach with a fellow student, he met with Tasha. Helping him catch his first Pokémon, she eventually was the one to help him out of his father's clutches and into the wild.

For years they stayed together, braving whatever climate could be braved. Their final endeavor together was on Sinnoh's highest mountain, on which they got separated due to a blizzard. Desperately trying to find each other, Tasha was through mysterious means transported somewhere far away, and Zachariah found himself in the small mountainside village of Akuledas. Most of its population centered on fishing and driving cattle, Zachariah found his place in the village as its gym leader.

In this village he stayed, fighting other trainers lost enough to stumble upon it. Although he liked his current state of life, he wanted to travel, after all. After hearing news of a small crime-fighting organization by the name of Team Energy seeking members, he was quick to throw himself over the offer. Although, their first mission, a break-in in a Team Rocket base, proved tougher than they could handle, and Zachariah left the team.

Now back in Akuledas, news did again get to him about the recently discovered region of Seloh, and his interest was yet again peaked. He bid his fellow villagers farewell, and travelled off to take his position as resident gym leader. Fortunately, as the region at the time was yet to get properly known, few changes and additions to his team were made before almost without competition claiming a spot as a more official gym leader there.

Personality: Zachariah does in many ways hold a somewhat childish personality. He is optimistic, friendly to a fault, and careful with his definition of evil. He does maybe not go to extremes to get people what they need, but he would if he could. He can be oblivious to his own inability to perform certain tasks, and appears proud of his own work, whatever both of those might be.

When plagued or annoyed for long enough, Zachariah can reach a point where some deeply buried anger takes over his mind, and he becomes a literal monster, using his Pokémon to end whatever made him like that.

Appearance: Zachariah comes off as a laid-back teenager, dressed in a wind-tight jacket, woolen white scarf, darker blue pants, and heavy snow boots, fit for travelling in the snow. His face is friendly, though his skin is somewhat dry and greatly pale. His blue, bowl-cut hair, is to the surprise of most never held under any form of hat, despite the cold he lived in.

Once he saw her, he though he was Tasha, fearing she had died, and was according to tales reborn as one. He caught her, and she has since stayed by his side. Background: Michello is a native of Seloh, and has long since aspired to become a Gym Leader, ever since he was a kid. He was always a bit unorthodox, due to his dedication to Normal Type Pokemon, and when said he'd battle through the entire League with just his team of normal 'mon, he was laughed at. Instead of failing, though, he smashed through the entire League, getting all the way to the elite four. Having caught the attention of the higher ups, he was offered a job when another leader stepped down.
Personality: Michello is a big ball of goofy confidence and energy. He defines himself by his positivity and his propensity for being loud, brash, and constantly striving to make people laugh. He is rarely without a giant smile on his face, and he is often seen eating, despite his lean appearance. On the rare occasions he goes quiet and gets serious, Michello presents an awfully scary visage.

Appearance (Written): A tall man, standing at about 6'3, Michello strikes a handsome, lean figure. Zangoose has long since held a special place in the Normal trainer's heart because of their close bond. The two act more like goofy friends than master and 'mon; especially since Zangoose gives more than 100% to fight.

Porygon-Z is the more cautious of the two Porygons, keeping further back and waiting to see what challengers might do before it may approach. He's been known to try and spook challengers though, with funny tricks and dubious japes.

  Personality/Story: Diggersby is another strange addition to Michello's team, mostly because he seems out of place. The pokemon looks like a sort of joke, compared to the hulking Snorlax, or the speedy Lopunny, or the Strange Porygons. That only serves to fire him up more though, and the Diggersby often ends up going on a mad tear through the Gym, beating down anyone who doesn't take him seriously. Truth be told, some challengers never admit to fighting Michello, because of the embarrassment of losing the little chubby Bunny from Hell.

  Personality/Story: Michello's first Pokémon, and the matron-saint of his Gym. He never uses Julia in battles anymore, because he'd rather let her rest up and look after her kid. Julia mostly serves as a bouncer, for when things get real dangerous. She's kind-hearted and sweet most of the time, but if anyone threatens Michello, Julia is likely to go on a tear and beat the person, pokemon, or team half-to-death! When Michello is concerned, Julia seems to treat him more like a child than a trainer; wiping his face if he gets dirty, or pushing him along towards dinner or appointments. Their bond is closer than anyone else might now, thanks to a number of harrowing adventures from the Trainer's youth.

  Personality/Story: Another of Michello's Pokémon from an age long-past, Skyler sort of just lives inside the Gym as an (if you'll excuse the pun) free-bird. She seemingly longs to be put back on the main roster, but has relented to the current team for whatever reason.

Background: A mysterious woman who seemingly appeared out of nowhere, Nina has recently started to make a name for herself after going on a bit of a tear; hunting down and bashing members of Team Power. She never hands them over to the authorities, but members of the public reportedly see the woman appear out of nowhere when the villains attack; beat down the bad-guys with a brutal efficiency, and then leave without a word. Police and members of the public are keenly interested in tracking her down though, if only to ask questions. Because she isn't vilified in anyway, and her attacks on Team Power have, for the most part, been kept hush-hush, she is able to walk around in public rather easily.

Personality: Nina comes across as a very cold person, and it probably wouldn't be an inaccurate statement. She has a certain resentment for weak people, and her personality borders on the cruel and the cold when she's first meeting with an individual. It's only after a person proves themselves to be strong that she becomes interested in them; treating them as equals, and actually bothering to hold more than a single line of dialogue with them at a time. To the select few that might get close to her, they'd realise that Nina is a somewhat demanding friend, putting her own needs before others in the broadest sense, and only focusing on the needs of her friends when it either suits her, or she thinks it is important. This selfishness makes her a bit of a lone-wolf, but on rare occasions, she finds herself drawn to individuals - Normally the exceptionally strong. These moments of attraction have her act far more civil towards the object of her desire, as she tries to ensnare them and make them hers; an extension of her somewhat-selfish attitude.

Appearance (Written): Standing at 5'7, Nina cuts a gorgeous figure with her chin-length black hair, vibrant green eyes, and curvaceous figure. She normally wears dark clothing that favours ease-of-movement and function over anything else. She has a small necklace on her neck, featuring a pendent that is seemingly impossible to open.

  Personality/Story: One of Nina's mainstays, Mega-Sharpedo is the veritable torpedo that rips through members of Team Power like paper. The Mega-Sharpedo seems to follow Nina with a very obvious loyalty, seeing her as the Alpha in a large pack. It carefully eyes anybody, man or Pokémon, who gets too close to Nina.

  Personality/Story: A big power-house of a Pokémon, Conkeldurr acts like a brutish bodyguard; beating up anyone who Nina points him towards with a sort of thugish grin on his face. Much like the Sharpedo, Conkeldurr defers to Nina as a leader, although more like a leader of a street gang than as a leader of a more animalistic pack.

  Personality/Story: A speedy Pokémon with the personality of a shinobi, Greninja is often used by Nina to hunt down or track things that she's seeking.   Personality/Story: A Pokémon with a more playful attitude than most of Nina's partners, Crobat serves as a secondary scout; supporting Greninja in whatever requests Nina has of them, which normally revolves around hunting down and tracking Team Power members. Crobat sees Nina in the same way a Falcon might view its handler: there is respect, and almost a sense of awe from the Crobat, which culminates in a deep and unquestioning trust.

  Personality/Story: A powerful and fearsome creature; Tyranitar serves as a sort of confidant to Nina - blocking the way of anyone who would go after her master with a fierce loyalty and a frightening vigil. Meloetta isn't a pseudo-legendary, she is legendary. So, she is banned from use.

Really? O.O I apparently can't trust bulbapedia ;.; when I first heard of meloetta I checked with bulbapedia and they said she was pseudo....then again, that article wasn't really complete...so it's probably been updated since then.

On another note....Any suggestions as for a good replacement? She was kinda my gyms ace.....Gallade simply can't compare, and I've already replaced mesprit with metagross XD
