The water was so temptingly close now. Within reach of invading her skin, and destroying every last scrap of the girl these people thought they knew. Any moment now the spirits she long ago banished from her mind would come to take their child home. She could see it now in the shifting colors of the water; every slow tear revealed just how utterly she did not belong. Asrai could wait a century for someone to reach out and claim her as family, but why should they when every part of her these people knew had been fabricated? Asrai was protecting them, or so she told herself anyway. She wanted to keep them safe... these people she wished so desperately to claim as her kin. Why couldn't the world be made of wants and wishes? Life would have been so much easier for all six of them.

As it stood, falling into the fountain and disappearing seemed easiest... But the caretaker had frequently reminded Asrai that most times, easy didn't equate to happiness. There was no chance for happiness in that pool of water no matter how hard she wished there would be. And maybe her family knew that, too. Why else would Lucas of all people come to sooth her? She didn't very much trust him, but the wounded child was just that, and couldn't bring herself to turn him away. Her tears did not cease, but at least he brought her back to reality.

He almost began to speak, but before words could amount from his inhaled breath, Asrai's worst fear slid from the vibrant surface of the water. A nimble hand reaching for her own, finally here to steal her away from family and happiness. She flinched backwards but found herself too close to Lucas to escape from the pale appendage. The cry of a frightened animal fluttered to her lips and died just in time for the frightening fingertips to... caress her face, and wipe her tears away...?

Curiosity bubbled up in the pit of her tight stomach, but all too soon she was being swept away from the threat by Lucas' own two hands. Was he... trying to protect her? The fierce glimpse in his gaze led her to believe so, despite the reserves Asrai had toward her elder brother. It was weird, being protected by someone... in a way it seemed like he was claiming her as his property, his family. And she was happy about it. With the smallest trace of a smile she inched up to stand by Lucas' side, diverting her eyes to the robe-clad woman slipping gracefully out of the fountain. Was she the owner of such a soft hand? Confusion and curiosity were starting to take the place of her fear, but still she remained close to her family, in the off chance this woman really was here to take her away.

No sooner had she arrived did the woman start to speak, letting loose the tales of a wish sign and the war between earthly beings and their makers. For such a young girl Asrai surprised herself with understanding quite a bit. But this was a little too much for even her mind to completely comprehend. She wouldn't begin to understand what the woman wished to involve them in... Not until her hands raised, and she conducted a progression of images into their memory. The vision was so vivid it was difficult to believe they weren't on that very battle field. Human bodies were strewn about as if they were speckles of dirt, and every here and there the corpse of a fallen Angel stood out like some rare jewel. The death tally was a hundred to one, and still her human brethren charged against immortal beings, using their comrades' fallen blood as a reason to keep fighting on.

It was terrible... And for a brief moment Asrai questioned whether she had the right to identify with humans as if they were her brethren to claim. But was she not as mortal as her brothers and sisters? Could she not consider the citizens from their home town her people? The Gods were too out of her reach to sympathize with, and after watching such a one sided slaughter how could she not identify with the humans?

A thought occurred to her as the visions faded, and Asrai turned her gaze to her troubled siblings. Did they feel the same way? Were any of them actually human? But more importantly, did any of them wish to protect the makeshift family they all belonged to, or that town of obnoxious and somehow pleasant people? There were so many unanswered questions and only now were they finally beginning to get the answers they so yearned for. They came slowly at first, filtering through the mind like old memories that were just beginning to wake. But as the intensity of this strange girl's magic increased, the answers soared swifter, as if they were starved from attention.

Near the peak of her mental maturation, a pin prick seared from the back of her neck and down the base of her spine; so quickly had it come and go that Asrai wasn't quite sure whether it really happened. But after looking around at her siblings and noticing the rich new markings that painted each skin, the little girl could only assume a similar tattoo marred the flesh beneath her pretty white dress. She wouldn't be able to look until much later, but hiding beneath her hair was the broken half of a black and white opera mask. Pieces of its visage crumbled down the back of her neck and followed the line of her spine, eventually transforming into trickling water drops that glowed the color of a pure blue sky. Upon her lower back the water pooled, reaching around her hips to carve intricate streams down her thighs. Eventually the makings faded to a pastel white, painting the top of each little foot with a large tribal tear-drop.

Just like that, a part of her secret identity revealed itself on the surface of her skin. Those markings made Asrai feel bare and naked; exposed to the people she only wanted to gain the acceptance of. But if she ever hoped to gain their approval and love, those secrets could no longer become barriers between Asrai and her family. She would have to tell them everything. That was one of the facts she'd been enlightened on. And now, the final piece was being revealed to them. They were being asked to make a choice, and Asrai had made hers long before this strange woman asked them to do so.

There was only one thing to do in a situation like this. Asrai would choose her family, just as Lucas had chosen her. But her family entailed more than just the people standing around this fountain. It entailed every last man, woman and child from their village. And every being in between. Humans as a whole, and mortal beings beneath the eyes of the Gods. They were her family, her people. And it was time to accept them, so that one day they would accept her.

Silently Asrai stepped away from Yumi and Lucas, making her way back to the fountain. She was no longer scared of the water there, not while the caretaker stood watch just above. If no one else would speak she was determined to be the first, to prove to them just how sincere her feelings were. With a deep breath she climbed up onto the fountain's edge and pressed her hand to the stone caretaker's chest. He was solid and strong, just like she always knew him to be. And he was family. Just like the rest of them.

"You are my family. And I'll protect you with my last breath. But our family includes more than just the people here. It includes our father, the caretaker. It includes the nice men and women who provide us with food and friendly faces every day. It includes the young children of our village who were unfortunate enough to evade escape." With another deep breath she removed her hand from the statue and took a step away, teetering on the edge of the fountain, just inches from the water. "Our family is bigger than just the human race. It involves all other mortal species we belong to. I know I'm not the only one who feels as if they don't belong. We all have secrets, and for many of us those secrets revolve around the fact that we can't rightfully call ourselves human... But we're still family, aren't we?" Asrai was dangerously close to outing herself, but there was something much more important for her to say before that could happen.

"We owe it to our people, our family, to protect them with our special gifts. If we truly are more than just weak, parentless human beings, how can we even begin to think it's not our place to help the community of people we come from, and who has, up until now, kept us safe?"

Things were picking up really fast, now everyone had joined the centerfold, and each of them was showing themselves in their own way. The Most drastic of these, of course came from the youngest, the little Asrai, whom usually kept to herself, unless at dinner now was breaking right before him, but Marius was unsure of how to help. Sure he was overly excited about the statue, being the Hero that he had grown to know and love through his reading, but with each tear that fell down the little girls cheek, or any of theirs for that matter, he found a similar one falling down his own. Through a fake smile he tried to suppress all of that, but it seemed all for naught.

A moment trickled by but the effects of his sibling’s fears, were overwhelming to say the least. Marius took a stand near Saduris, after she embraced him. It was nice but the feeling did not last, and instead had thrown him slightly off. Even if Marius wanted to move in to try and help Asrai, Lucan appeared to already have it under control. Yumi, wasn’t far off, but again that was where Saduris handled it. He was 16, and the middle ground and in the eyes of those around, he did not need that comforting hand to tell him it was alright, he had to be strong, and Marius would do just that. He would stand there and throw up that smile to keep talking and telling stories, about that hero, it was all that he felt he could actually do at this point.

Marius went to say another word, but it was cut off, as a little squeak caught his attention, he directed his gaze over to Asrai, but this time he didn’t just see her or Lucas. This time a being was forming out of what appeared to be thin air. Now a normal person might have been thrown off, and maybe Marius was just a little bit, but he could not deny a chase of absolute excitement either when he looked at the cloaked figure forming out of thin air. “Wha.. what are you?!” he questioned quickly, but the being in the soft melodic tone she harbored told them all that they needed to know, as if it had been rehearsed before a pool of water.

Marius wasn’t exactly sure how to take any of it, his nerves were already raw, and with forcing a smile to stay planted upon his face, he could not help but twitch a bit as the images passed before him, as he soaked in each and every word this woman had to say. Sure it was unfair, everyone had to be thinking that to some extent, but a level of curiosity could not be contained with the boy either. His silvery eyes gleamed at the mere prospect of adventure, and perhaps he was being closed minded to the actual danger that came with it, but he couldn’t help it.

The more the woman mentioned Wish signs, and such, the more intrigued he was, it was similar to books he’d read, and actually one such book had allowed him to read up about a wish sign, though he couldn’t remember details now. He was far to scatterbrained for that. However even just standing before this being made him feel as though he were living a fantasy, as if this was the beginning, and then he was forced to wonder if he was cut out for it, how would he become the hero that was needed with no training at all, and well he was worthless when it came to sword play, especially if he compared to wolf.

That was another thing!. Where was Wolf with all of this, was he part of this wish sign business too, and what had happened to him. Marius mind was far too complicated to have to consider all of these things at once, to be completely honest it was a melt down waiting to happen, but he’d be alright, he had to be. “So whe..”

Again Marius was interrupted, as rude as it seemed, but this time it was by something of much more tangible proof. A deep silvery white and slightly blue aura seemed to engulf him, and the tendrils wrapped around him in a blur of power, Marius couldn’t help but cringe as multitudes of information returned and came to him in but a flash of a few seconds. His life as it had been, flashed before him, but the past he never thought about still evaded, words that once had made no sense to him, now did, and in his head a codex of spells, a multitude of incantations and the like, he felt.. Whole.

The final piece of art was when the tendrils began to burn their magic upon his flesh, and carve their message. First a book filled with words that never ceased to change in some arcane profound language. A ribbon floated out from the book to mark that page and then began to wrap around Marius arm as it unrolled into a Scroll, at the very edge near the bottom of Marius right wrist a sword formed, and appeared to be almost being unsheathed, with the arcane scroll as the sheathe. The end of the pommel formed in the base of Marius Palm. On the other end a Raven Sat perched on Marius right shoulder and in the front right base of his neck. Its eyes were four slits to show its celestial and “familiar heritage”

It was quite the masterpiece of artwork, and he could not be happier with how it had formed. Somehow the new knowledge’s and abilities Marius suddenly knew fit perfectly for him. The sword was the only thing that almost made zero sense for him particularly. Lucas was a snake, he wasn’t sure what it meant; but the depiction of a snake, was not generally a very good thing. Asrai’s was really interesting, a masque, an opera mask and water, it was pretty, everyone else’s somehow fit in one way or the other, and he guessed that sooner or later those reasons would reveal themselves.

Now she had given them all proof, they all seemed different in some way, and not just due to the markings on each of them, it was much different by just the mark in their eyes. They were faced with a decision, and so far no one had chosen to speak up on the matter. Marius would have to be the fir…It had probably become a trend to interrupt the poor boys thoughts; and he was just now realizing it, because Asrai spoke up right before he had the chance.

The words the little girl spoke, appeared far more aged, than any of them would have liked to see her as. This was Asrai after all, the childish little girl that was their youngest, and here she was setting everything in motion, just another example of him failing to pull the role of the big brother. He wasn’t about to let things stay like this however, and the woman had seemed to step away from them, to leave them to their decisions. “Well I guess.” Marius started. He was not used to having to speak in front of everyone about his own opinions outside of books. “I think that we are only being given half of the story. I think that we have more choices than are being provided.” He glanced to the woman, and she appeared to be smiling now as he spoke. “Things are not so black and white, we can think between the lines, and though we have been given our choices, we can not factor out our own wishes. We do not know enough, we do not know what Humanity has done, and we do not know the intentions of Gods. We are but a small piece to a puzzle that is laid before us, and we must find a place to rest as we put the rest together, however no puzzle starts from the middle, it is first that the foundation is made, and I feel that is where our decision lies.”

Marius now sounded ten times older than he was, maybe it was the wish sign that made it so, but a neutral ground sounded best to him, they needed more information, and they needed to not be drug into this. They were powerful, and had responsibility now, and if all of these things were at all true, then they were in trouble should either side find out of their gifts. They were a bane to Gods, and a weapon for Humans. Either made them valuable and that alone made this decision exceedingly important.

While Arsai spoke so maturely she already knew she was willing to protect her siblings.

Protection was the one thing everyone had on their mind, Lucas, Arsia, Yumi, Marius and her. All of them single mindedly knew what they desired. It was as simple as that. Arsai had taken her favor and put in human hands not that of the gods, it wasn't a tough decision for her and there was no hesitation. But her question of family would fall deaf on Saduris' ears, she would not brand them as family, she did not come to see them as that. It was not her fault, it was the fact she'd always found it hard to see them as sibling in her mind and heart, she couldn't get attached and she couldn't even answer that question so she diverted her paled orbs elsewhere.

Though, her second came with a more strong and sure support. The people had not protected them, they were a guise for them, the Caretaker had practically used them to protect every single one of them. Yes, the villagers have feed them and some even befriended them but in reality, Caretaker was the one. He was always the one to protect them.Even when the people were mistaken and some of them picked one them and were rude, they were innocent against the Gods. She truly knew nothing of their motives, nor of the Human's but she would not hold either party guilty.

Even then, Arsai had more than just words behind her eyes, there was something she was trying not to show, and Saduris only knew that because she was doing the same thing. However, Saduris would not answer the girl's questions aloud. In all oddness Marius too, had made his own debut, signing off that distracted facade and proving he was more than just a boy who knew books and heroes. But who doesn't have a facade going?

The things he had spoken rang true to a fashion, the Golden Ox had finally been melted with Marius' words, like a bee to a hive. His words sunk in deeper than he would have ever thought them to. There were puzzles missing. And you can't cut wood trees without an axe, or beat in nails without a hammer. So you must put certain pieces together to make a whole and when it's whole you make that life curdling decision. Marius and Arsai had sounded more mature than they usually would, and it seemed this situation was bringing this out in them or maybe it was the knowledge but Saduris saw it as just the situation.

Saduris knows they would already see she had withdrawn again, not because there was a stranger but they would soon find out her true feelings, that they were just her friends...people she could not call family. Her decision to try and be the big sister had become void. This is why she kept her secrets to herself. As far as everyone knew and Saduris knew ,she was simply just a human. Never had any gifts of specialty but that did not deter her from being strong willed and a fighter. But it does not matter as everyone has their ...

Secrets.

Don't Need to Touch You To Cause You Pain...

Secrets often pain a person more than they are meant to, the very things that could build a bond or break a bond. But in the end they are just as a facade, and Saduris put on facades so well, she deceived and she danced to the song of heartbreak and unopened despair. Leaving her self too often believe that all would be placid and in harmony after. But the damage is there and her facade had become so apart of her in the times it wasn't even faked.Love was a genuine thing even she could carry but that is not what was breaking down door after door. It was a slow churning rage she had caged, a deep sorrow that could never be shown, a flutter of love not for the people she stood by but the world she once stood on. It was never about not caring or getting close to anyone, since the brutal truth was she had not seen them as sibling but as friends.

There was not a bond. There couldn't be.

Don't Think They're All That Bad...

The little secrets hidden just skin deep would not reveal, but that mask of love was but a curtain, shielding the others from the truth behind her eyes. Those visions had not come to her crystal clear, simply because they weren't meant to, not even the woman could provide Saduris with this kind of truth as she had for the others and it could be seen in their eyes. The just bare pieces of the puzzles didn't fit or have a picture for her. One's true self couldn't always be found this way, it had to be discovered, the painted canvas of lies had to be scraped off until it lacked all color, no matter how much you painted over the truth it would still be there at the end of the journey.

Nothing had pushed Saduris on to be this way but her and now she'd find out why. Trials and tribulations would grant her that final confirmation. And before she chose her bitter path she'd have to ask herself,”Do I want false hope or no hope at all?

Every day the people seemed to grow stronger, happier just from hope. The sweet faced girl knew that behind those doors she kept locked so tight it was starting to get crowded there inside. More...so much more so than normal. As if they were amplified by the swirling of thoughts she had leaned on.

Let it all burn to ashes..

So would she? Maybe, because she never tried to protect a person. Not the people who she'd considered her friends, not the ones who stood so happy in that village, not even herself. But she surely tried to protect that meadow, just as she tried to protect that home of her's before she got lost. But these people, these creatures, her friends were the only ones she had now.

Saduris had no interest to involve herself no matter the cost, but she had to do something regardless of what she wanted.

Step Right Up, You Know You Want To.

That single rebellious feeling had reared it's ugly head. She did not want to entertain the idea of being a savior to any of the god not the people even if she had known their motives and what they had done. She wanted to be free of her binds not to be constricted by them and follow a force of what's right and what's wrong. She wanted to dance to dance to the melody of the forest not to a drumming of war. Stepping right up was more a battle that it needed to be. Be the weapon, or the poison? A tough gamble indeed.

A Deal Is A Choice.
There is no exit clause in these agreements. If one of them were to no longer desires the helping of to a certain side, the agreement is terminated, and the humans will dragged, screaming, out of their dimension and into the world of the death. If not out of fear the Gods will try to spin you in with promises of immortality and strength beyond your years. Then out of growing, all-consuming Greed you would join them in a cause that could be fatal to the world the humans dwell. The simple fires of this war spark and set fires to where they tread, leaving trails of fear and anger. To pick a side you stay on a side simply because a deal is a deal and a choice is a choice.

What Do You You Want...Power? Fame? Money?

Gods, of sorts, peddlers in the deepest wishes and desires of the five of their psych, merchants of greed, they will sell you anything, in exchange for their loyalty in battle. Most ask for a certain action to be performed after you promise yourself to them. Whether it be slaying the strongest demon...or participate in a battle that would decide the fate of man. Their final service to you in the name of greed is power fame and emptiness. You've killed many people and you can smile about it ,you have no decency in you, you have no heart as you should. The task easy but the memories haunt you to your final.

You Won't Notice A Thing. Just One Little Change in This Agreement...

But there are others things...Humans too play their cards of gold and promises. And with them the Price that someone like them pays is often simple at first, but it tends to change, so slightly and slowly that the one is for the most part unaware. What could start as a simple price of physical fighting can take the smallest of steps to bloodshed, to amputation, and killing...although no person in their right mind would like to see the death of another, there is a motive behind their actions.

Once you choose a path You have to stay on it, experiencing the cause and effect that shows you who you are on it's own time.
In the end all you have to do is....
Choose And Be Bound.

Choices, That was all that remained, but what were the choices of their makeshift family?

The air lingered with the access magic, the last of the tattoos dancing over the families bodies, and even seemed to change the personalities of others. The little one of the family was the first to shift to the fountain and rest her small form about it and began to speak, her words lingering over his head as she spoke about them working with the humans to protect the lives that had graciously been given to all of them, the lives that had been protected by the man that was their adoptive father, by the man that had been there with them from the very beginning. He listened to the words that danced frome her lips and shifted to the air around them circling their heads for a mere moment before slipping into their minds and sitting there. Lucas simply listened to her as her troubled little mind continued to speak and yet she was stopped by the youngest of the males who began to speak next.

Marius spoke words most of them having another choice rather than the gods or the humans, and for once Lucas actually allowed his thoughts to run on the words that now danced from between his brothers lips. Did they have an option that was different from the two posed before them? Could they just be there for themselves and the family that surrounded themselves...? He ran his right hand up and allowed it to dance across the skin of his chin fingertips tapping lightly at the end of the pale skin thinking contemplating the words that were spoken between the selection of siblings. He didn't want to have no part in helping either side of this. He wanted to seek for the caretaker and the eldest of their group and move onwards with their lives and not have anything to do with this side war, angel, demons humans none of them meant anything to himself and thats how he truly felt, but above all else his family came first.

When the words stopped from both of them Lucas himself looked up to the woman, then back to the two kids before slipping his eyes closed and allowing a sigh to pass through his parted lips. He took a moment to allow his body to calm, to allow his mind to become dormant before he would ask two questions of the woman. He would need to have them answered for them to begin this little quest, like the adventurers that they were meant to be do to fates slimy hands in their life. They would need room and board and of course a map to guide them along the way of life, to guide them to what was meant to be their destiny another breath and another thought that needed to be calmed. His eyes slipped open at that point and he raised his arms to cross over his bare chest sliding them in one another. His eyes, now seeming a misty violet rather than solid, fell upon the woman and he himself began to speak, a dark voice much more tenor like and seductive now though not meaning to be.

"Then for us to begin on this 'quest' of fates is there anyway you can offer us the last of assistance, the first being a physical map something we can look upon while traveling to our destinations. Second, can you point us in the direction of the nearest city or settlement so we may get a room and board and maybe some new clothes and such. Before we choose our sides or whatever I would like to rest upon my decision and the others as well I am sure, we have lived in that small village forever based on what we have seen I am sure that besides those of us that enjoyed gazing at the stars and outside at night that dont read books would choose those human villagers so far away that helped us. Do we at least have the time for us to decide which side is worth helping? Or even if we want to place our hands in a cookie jar that has no cookies?"

He sat there and waited now for the woman to answer his questions, to dance through her lips and apologize to them tell him that they ere not the one, but deep down he knew she wouldn't, knew she hadn't made a mistake and for once his own mind danced to that of their older brother, Wolf. He always was the one that could hold the family together in instances like this better than he ever knew how, where was he though? Did these gods or humans get their hands on him and take him away to use as bait for them. He shook his head driving away the bad thoughts, shook away the thoughts of the eldest and more onto the thoughts of this nightmare that was their reality, he wanted to go home back to the caretaker and the safety of their own home. That was what he wanted, what he wished to see those faces of the villagers and the alcohol on nights and the partying but he knew that was all far away now left to the stars that Yumi used to gaze upon, those words that left her lips once dancing through his head.

The way the stars twinkle in the night, their bright gaze dancing down upon us tells me that we shall always have guidance beneath the night sky. It also warns of danger in the coming days, warns of a danger that we will have to face.

They'd all spoken before she'd even had the chance. The small, blonde girl stood at the back of the group, her newly marked, Asian features worried, fearful, confused. Asrai spoke of helping the humans, Marius of the choice that lie in between the two that were provided, and though she knew that so many thoughts were swirling around in Saduris' mind, she would never be able to decipher what those thoughts were exactly, and then Lucas...he seemed to only care for the safety of the family as of now. He wouldnt make a single choice. Not a single decision until they were all well rested, and had time to think of the matter at hand. He was, as usual, trying to live up to the role of Big Brother since Wolf was nowhere to be found. Yumi, on the other hand, had no clue what so ever about what she wanted to do. Sure, the humans had helped them while they lived in that little village, they gave them food, shelter, friends...but it was truly the Caretaker who helped them the most, and just like that, he was gone.

In the back of her mind, Yumi felt the odd sense of familiarity as she was thrown into this terrible situation. The odd sense of abandonment when she thought of the only Father figure she had.. and how he had just vanished like that. The coin pouch tucked within the sash at her waist now weighed heavy as her mind fought, and wondered what had happened to her real parents exactly. She didnt like the familiarity in the betrayal that she felt as of now. How could someone so close to them just push them away? Betray them after he said he'd be there always? He wasnt as much a father to them, no...more so a friend, so how could he just drop them off here to fend for themselves if they were supposed to be "family"?

This sense of familiarity was awful.

Yumi whimpered as her mind soared through the deep crevices of her memory, but still so many doors there were locked, and it seemed that the keys had been thrown away, and there was no hope that she would ever find them. Ever. Sighing in defeat, she shook her head, her long, blonde hair falling from the bun in little strands until the beautiful, elegant updo was nothing more than a mess. She felt the tears well in her eyes as the stress, and pressure of this entire situation weighed down on her shoulders. She was only a young girl, and even though she wasnt as human as they all seemed to think, she wondered if they were even as human as they all acted. Were they being effected the same by this as she was? Clearly Asrai had broken down before, but Saduris remained silent, and cold. Lucas remained calm, and collected, and Marius? He'd managed to become excited in the beginning. As if they were all gathering to begin as adventure from one of his books.

Yumi couldnt seem to wrap her head around what was happening. All she knew was she was more knowledgeable in things she had no idea she knew, she had gained the mark of The Wish, and now they were all being told to choose between the gods, and the mortals. It was unfair. Yet she seemed to lean more towards the mortal side. She'd grown up with them, lived with them; therefore, her mind favored them. Yet...she had seen how vulgar they could be, how rude, how evil, how repulsive. Then she found herself wondering....were the humans even worth saving? What had they done to anger the gods? Maybe it was the god's thirst for power that had started this war she'd known nothing about until just a few minutes ago. What exactly had the gods done to the humans, and who was at fault? Possibly both?

So many questions now swirled in her small head. But just as easily as her mind began to favor the humans, all the repulsion, and bad that she had seen them do began to fester in her mind, and she soon began to dislike the fact of saving them if that was how they could all behave. Normally she would be a peaceful young woman, gathering all the serenity, and calm from nature, her natural home. But living with the mortals had shown her that they too had a dark side, one that could possibly rival that of what the gods could muster up. Perhaps helping the gods would be her choice? No....Gods were capable of influencing the mortal mind. Perhaps it was all part of a single god's sick game...perhaps they wanted to watch the human squirms at the hands of their brothers, and sisters. When she thought of this, the thought of helping the gods disgusted her just as much as the thought of helping the mortals.

Yumi walked up by Asrai, and stood on the ground by her. She looked up at the girl, amber eyes showing signs of indecisiveness, weariness, confusion, and all together unknowing of what she should do in this situation itself. She sighed, and wiped at her eyes as those welling tears seemed to overflow. "I dont know what to do, imouto" Asrai clearly seemed to know exactly what she would do. She was acting so mature, and for a moment, Yumi felt like the younger sister. She then let her gaze fall from Asrai as she looked out to her other siblings, and a frown came across her lips.

What would she do? Can one simply be a neutral party within this war?

Yumi, The Indecisive.

The little girl's swell of courage led things to progress rather quickly. Not long after she fell dumb Marius started to speak, unveiling the third in-between option she hadn't cared to think of in her sudden bout of sentiments. It made sense for them to dig, rather than accept what had already been said. They were children; they knew nothing of war, and now they were being asked to pick a side. No one was truly confident in their choices at this point... no one but Asrai. Because despite how oblivious they were the little girl couldn't help but feel that if they dug for more information, they would find something that would change her mind.

She didn't want to change her mind. Every word that had fallen from her lips just a minute before were wholehearted and honest. Asrai had been surrounded by humanity her entire life, and in her eyes the mortal beings were what fostered her existence and brought her to life. How could she accept or fight for Gods that refuted her existence? Asrai couldn't remember the last story she heard of the Gods gracing their little village, or inviting children like herself to live in their eternal kingdom. They wouldn't accept her, live with her, and love her like the humans and non-human mortals would. Did. "Does," she reminded herself mentally... because despite the chaos facing her now, Asrai was still surrounded by her humanesque "family".

What would happen if they dug for more information? There was a chance they would find things that discouraged or swayed them from fighting for the people she wished so deeply to believe in. This was a first for Asrai, being afraid of research and knowledge. Because for the first time she was trying to choose emotion over cold hard facts. The people in this circle brought that side of her into fruition; because, despite the loyalty she owed her mortal family, Asrai's adopted siblings meant the world to her. If they chose to remain uninvolved, she would likely follow them, in fear of losing the little scrap of happiness she was granted in this hellhole of a planet.

And the way things were going, it seemed as if the rest of the family favored research before an immediate choice. She had to respect their sentiments despite how positive she was in defending the humans. What really surprised her was Marius' opinion; he was the one most likely to jump into an adventure like this blindly, and she was probably the least likely to want to do so. Now the roles were reversed... And it was apparent they'd already done a great bit of changing. Asrai just couldn't decide whether she liked the person she was changing into.

Heaving a quiet sigh, the small girl cast her eyes toward the sunlight lingering just above the horizon. It was approaching dusk, and one way or another they needed to make a decision. There was still so much left unknown... and a great deal of secrets were starting to weigh on her humingbird shoulders. Firstly, the thin sliver of knowledge she'd been able to acquire about the caretaker. Chances were no-one else had been able to make the connection between their adoptive father and this beautiful statue she leaned against. She hadn't even been able to fully connect them based on physical features, although now that she surveyed the stone more closely there definitely were some similarities.

Assuming she was correct - assuming this hero she and Marius had read about was their caretaker - there was a wealth of information just on the horizon. Hidden away in the deepest corners of her true bedroom was a little book filled with neat scribblings: key information from the various collection of books she'd read. If Asrai's memory served her correctly - and it usually did- a good chunk of pages were dedicated to the mysterious hero known as Arias. But that book was likely ages away, and she didn't trust her memory or Marius' to recollect the details of his adventures adequately. Would they even care, though? She hadn't even thought to wonder how her siblings felt about their adoptive father at this point. But at the very least she owed them her knowledge. And an end to the secrets.

Asrai floundered for a moment, caught between forcing the words from her lips. And in the time it took her to lean toward a decision little Yumi wandered up to stand just before her and the fountain. For once, her closest sister was shorted than she... and, Asrai couldn't lie, it felt good. More natural. She was more fitting to be the older sibling than the younger one. Her level of maturity and desire to protect them fit a taller, more mature body... One they wouldn't look down on, but one they would find strength in. And as she caught sight of tears welling up in her sister's eyes Asrai had never come so close to revealing her inner truth right then and there.

She would have to do so at some point. But... perhaps this wasn't the right time. Everyone was confused enough to last a lifetime, and adding one more unknown factor to the equation wasn't a safe venture. But that didn't mean she couldn't console Yumi in other ways. Yumi had no idea what to do, but Asrai was pretty sure of herself at the moment. She would always be sure of her choices when it came to protecting family. They brought out the best in her... they brought her clarity of mind. And despite how much her heart broke at the sight of Yumi's tears, Asrai couldn't thank the young girl enough for nudging her in the right direction.

With the barest of smiles Asrai descended from the fountain and took a few steps into the grass. Disregarding Yumi's distaste for physical contact the little girl swept her older sister into a warm hug, feeling very much like the older sibling for once. Without letting go of Yumi she turned her eyes to the rest of their little group, words coming to mind much before she could even grasp at the meaning behind them. "If we seek answers there is only one true starting point. We should return home." It was an ambitious thing to say, especially because the caretaker had worked so hard to get them away from there. But what other choice did they have? Asrai needed to get that book. And they all needed to see what had become of their village.

Marius had mostly become quiet at this point, he had said his piece, and now he was but a shadow in the corner. This was best though, he didn't want to appear like he was some great leader or anything, more so he just wanted to make his voice heard, and that had worked just fine. No one else seemed to be too sure of themselves, aside from Asrai. Lucas had that same smug look he normally harbored, and he seemed oddly confident, in what; Marius could only guess. He stood up though, and as he did he addressed the woman with whimsical tongue, and taunted her for more answers, and treasures, than she likely could provide. Lucas was used to having his way with women with just a word, so this would be no different right?

Wrong.. dead wrong. The woman had no response for Lucas, only stood there and stared at him with an infinite gaze, and a slight almost truly neutral smirk. Her voice rose up after he was done speaking, as if she had waited patiently for him to get through his tangent. "I see, so you wish to have these things provided for you? Do you also wish for a tent, perhaps, a house and some warm blankets?" He voice sounded oddly cynical but it was more like a lace of dagger that moved to intercept Lucas by the throat. "You want things, yet you offer nothing, and you ask more of me when I have already given so much, but what have you given me?" A soft bit of laughter echoed as she shook her head from beneath the hood of her cloak. "I would gladly give all that I can for you children, truly I would but that would allow you only a much quicker funeral within this world. You will not get yourself far, by demands that you have no leverage in."

The woman was hard to read, and likely appeared almost cruel in how she taunted Lucas, but this was truly her being merciful, when with but a word she likely could have the poor boy on his knees. Still that cynical smile never left the woman's lips. "Alright then, I will provide you a map Lucas. I will provide it along with my information, You may do as you will, and sadly my time is near its end here. It would appear..." She stepped forward and then waved her hand throught eh air as the dust of the air began to gather. A square formed, with borders and running seas, and upon the air, just as the sun began its setting; a light shimmered and shone them a large map of the whole of the world a red tint upon most of the eastern part of the world. Mountains climbed before them, and then the light faded, and the map became a scroll, a tangible scroll in Lucas hands. "This is the gift I leave with you, If I choose to stay much longer it is possible that they will notice and will find you. I wish all of you the greatest luck in every choice that you make, truly, but at this point... " She glanced to Asrai who was holding the young Yumi now, and cast her a gentle smile as her body began to fade from existence, the last song of that womans voice resonated through empty air.

"It appears you already have a destination."

Like that the woman was gone, and Marius was left with wide eyes and a half ass grin. He wasn't sure how to take it, but he was trying to calm himself from the exposure of such extravagant magic, he had watched her, but as fast as she performed her somatic components upon the air, he could have never tracked it all and performed the spell that she had. Another thing crossed his mind as he closed the distance where Asrai and Yumi were, and heard the butt end of what Asrai had said. He watched for Saduris to join them, but it seemed almost impossible for her in that moment, Marius beckoned his hand to her. "Come and join us sister. I think we have our first location." he said in the soft tenor of his voice. The idea of returning home, was frightening, there was a reason the Caretaker had sent them away, and for them to return... well that was... scary. The truth was there however, it was the last place they had known anything tangible and that was the truth.

Marius moved over to peek over Lucas shoulder, at the map, and of course he found what he was looking for, a mark as to where they were, and then to the south West was their little city of Menest. The other two areas that had been mentioned were there as well, and he memorized that. but Marius didn't know anything about the world, and of course this was no different, he could see the direction of a straight away to their home, but right now... they needed clothes, better equipment, weapons maybe eve. of course little Marius was thinking like an adventurer, but that was what they had become now. "So we have few choices, one is to go to the Empirial Post of Kathon Castle, to our east. Then the other is Lakeside if we follow the Bleakfen River to the Lake of Songs. That would place us closer to our home town. Its the best option if that really is our decision, and im sure we all want to know what happened ot our Caretaker." He spoke boldly again, only because he knew this was the way he had to become. He needed to be strong and do this.

"thats just what I see anyways.. what do the rest of you think. "

+At this Point try to keep posts fairly small that way we can get through the decision part of this and get to the actual adventure. Thank you ^^+

Saduris couldn't help but hold humored eyes at the cunning of the woman, she had given so much and received nothing, one had yet to grasp the effects of that alone. It was a generous deed she had done, to ask her for anything more came at a price. A bluff would have even sufficed, but what good would it do in their given position, she'd know it was a lie. “ So we return to the nest we were forced to leave...for the beginning of the truth.” The young woman muttered while ambling toward Marius, who had already spoken his standing and views. He had become a novice hero within an instant, it was doubtful that his optimism played a part in his train of thought, but the reality between normality and magic had been blurred ever so slightly. Almost perfectly blended.

His bold tone hat told her, he saw the same outcome as she had, but that could have been mistaken.

Change is...inevitable. Whether they choose a side or not they have not much of a choice but to do something. It should be an honor, though it was not for some, there is a way to overcome that. Even if it tears the world apart or brings water to their own eyes they must act less it all falls on their fragile shoulders. Confusion and a great sense of responsibility will slowly demoralize even the strongest of them. Caretaker could not nurse them all forever, may you be child or young adult it was time to embrace the change no matter how lost you get. Asking 'why me?' was an irrelevant question, as you were chosen and this is it. They would either use this opportunity and learn more of themselves while aiding who one see fit, or they would be left behind to put the broken pieces of the world together on their own. Saduris wanted to be able to say that no matter how this plays out that she tried, that there was a time she stood without for once feeling like she was lost. Anytime on this journey their views may change, decisions may hurt one another, they may split, and they may reunite. So if she had to stuff in her feelings, or doesn't say anything that appeases anyone that is something she will have to face in due time, not the gods or the mortals. And so with that shred of courage, fear, and anxiety she would silently tread through the war helping both sides regardless of the rules she will break or whose feelings she may hurt.

“The balance must be restored...” Her words had not been to anyone of them in particular, but they were said in response to Marius asking his question while she laid her hand on his shoulder. The understanding of her words would be to each of their own thoughts.

He listened to the woman as she spoke about him needing a tent and bedding, he shook his head in frustration slightly in anger but before he could speak up again, before he could spit the anger forth to the woman she was gone. He clutched the map in his hand still rather angered, she had appeared before them claiming some bullshit about wish signs and how they had to pick a side....she thrust his family deep into a war that meant nothing to him or the people here and she could say that he owed her something......he didn't want this didn't ask for this none of them had and yet they owed her something. It took a minute for him to gather himself for the boiling of his blood to fall to a normal setting, for the hidden anger to subside before he dropped to one knee on the ground and spread out the map his violet eyes falling upon its features. He paid attention to what Marius said about heading home to find out what happened to the small village and the caretaker that they all loved so much....but was that really so wise...

He ran his finger over the map eyeing the distance between here and the imperial city as well as between here and the riverbank and they were about the same give or take a few feet, as good as going home sounded Lucas knew they would never make it without some form of supplies and that meant stepping through the forest that led to the imperial city. He was troubled by this dilema, could him and Sadi protect the little ones moving through this forest with no weapons without him using those abilities of his....he stood from the ground and turned towards the family members as they were gathered by the fountain, he took and began buttoning up his shirt each small button placed within the hole to hide the serpent that lay painted upon his skin. Finally he looked up with a light sigh, his tenor voice slipping forth once again to the small family speaking much differently than he had to the woman.

"I suggest we take the path through the forest and stop off in the imperial city, just to pick up a few supplies, traveling without any food or drink at the least would be bad news especially since the path to the village is destined or bound to be full of some sort of danger. We get into the city get supplies and make our way back to the riverbed and follow it to the village. I feel that is our best bet....at the moment at least."

Now it would be he who waited for the families answer to his proposal what would they think?

As Asrai's arms wrapped around her small frame, Yumi found herself tensing at the small girl's touch, but enjoying the sense of love, and protection it gave. It was odd, her dislike for physical contact, but now....she couldnt mind less. The crying girl nuzzled her face against the top of Asrai's head as the youngest held, and comforted her, and soon enough her tears dried. The young, blonde Asian remained there in that embrace fore a bit longer, even as Asrai brought up that they should go home. She liked that idea. The thought of them going back to the one place she felt at home was a joy, but then again....would Caretaker be there? Would it even be worth going back? What would they find other than a good snack on the wrist, and then sent away again. Especially if the Caretaker was still there. He sent them away for a reason, wouldnt he just do so again?

Yumi sighed, and took a deep breath as her siblings now moved on to investigate the map the woman had given them. She detached herself from Asrai's hold, and gave the small girl a smile. She didnt go to look at the map though, no, she wanted nothing to do with the map, or whether or not they were going to go home back to Menest, or if they all decided to go on their own separate ways. She wanted nothing to do with the planing, or even remotely getting started with their "Destiny". The cards Fate dealt them were a load of crock, and she was now more frustrated than she was scared, or sad, or frightened. Yumi turned away from the others, and began to walk away from the group. She was a mess, her hair was messed, her pretty kimono was ruined, her newly marked skin was littered with dirt. It was disgusting.

Yumi made her way back to the ruins they all crawled out of, and she found herself sitting on the bed she woken up on. The blonde said nothing the entire time, she laid back on the bed, closed her eyes, and let herself breath slowly as if to calm her nerves more so than she already had. She almost missed the impression upon the mattress as something hopped up on her bed, and then curled itself into a comfortable ball directly by her side. Opening amber eyes, and peeking down to her side, Yumi was surprised to see the cutest little, creme colored Kit. If all these kept showing up, her siblings were bound to notice something about her. Normally Yumi would be overjoyed, surprised even, that this wild animal would do this, but no, her new knowledge seemed to make this out to be a normal occurrence. She let her hand fall down onto its side, and once she did so, the little baby nudged her hand with its nose before licking her hand. It was then that she knew an unseen bond was born, and this little fox would be by her side for a very long while.

Yumi remained in the ruins, and waited the lead of her sibling, her new friends comfortably laying by her side.

Yumi, The Comforted.

Her words were snatched up and made into a solid plan faster than Asrai imagined they would be. She remained silent as the older siblings juggled possibilities around, holding close to little Yumi and stroking the girl's long bond hair with the faintest of smiles. While the woman bantered back at Lucas' request and made a fool of his hope Asrai turned her gaze to the distant sky and puffed an uneasy breath. This was going to be difficult for all of them. As it stood they had no means of surviving, and no doubt the older siblings had it in their minds to protect the younglings. But Asrai want comfortable with being considered the youngest anymore. She wanted to protect the rest of them... But that was impossible for her to do at this point. Should she reveal what held her back, another wrench could be thrown into their difficult plan. Causing more problems for the rest of them was silly, especially if it was for the sake of her own pride.

But that didn't require her to remain silent and uninvolved in planning. After the woman had gone Asrai dipped her head over Lucas' shoulder and peered down at the map. Her eldest brother seemed to suggest that going further away from Menest was the best idea... And that made no sense to Asrai, because the longer they took getting home, the less of a chance her book, and the caretaker for that matter, would still be there. Shading her head mindlessly she traced the map with her eyes, deliberating over the proximity between their current location, Lakeside, and Menest. That seemed to be their best and fastest bet at this point. "I think we should head west, to Lakeside. It's the closest to Menest and..." at that point a familiar name caught her eye on the map and silenced her voice. Without asking she nudged Lucas out of the way and bent down, getting a closer look at the letters across into the scroll. "Barad Goendhir. Isn't that where Wolf is right now? It's in that direction as well."

She didn't realize before she'd said it, but recalling such finite information probably didn't fit along with her childishly oblivious facade. But it was too late to recall her words now, and rather than wishing she could take them back she hurried on to stifle a blush of embarrassment. "Anyway, the sooner we get back the better. It's more likely that the caretaker will still be there, and my book-" Dammit. She was messing up quite a bit. Trying as hard as possible to add normally, Asrai pulled back from the map and shook her hair out in the most disinterested way possible. After a moment she formed back at Marius and Lucas, constructing a safe excuse on her tongue before speaking again. "You guys decide, I'm going to check on Yumi."

With that she skipped away from them, wandering off in the direction her sister disappeared. Asrai traced her back to the crumbling rooms they wrote up in, but rather than walking in to confront the young girl Asrai stood just out of sight behind one of the walls, watching her sister quietly. To her surprise a little fox had curled up against Yumi's side, and from the looks of it the animal's presence brought a surreal peace to the girl with closed eyes. A smile touched Asrai's face. Her sister was so pure and precious. Seeing her in such a vulnerable state field Asrai's desire to protect Yumi that much more. That feeling exceeded the need to make her brother see common sense, and even the need to keep her own secrets. In fact, the only scrap of worry holding her back anymore was the possibility that her secrets would hurt Yumi and the rest more than it would keep them safe. It was a tricky tight rope to walk, and the longer she took trying to keep her balance, the faster that rope unravelled. It would snap soon. The question was, would her family be the net to catch her when it did? Or would she fall into a shark tank and lose her grasp on this life she was trying so hard to lead?

So far things were simply circling in a loop of choices and ideas between the group. It was incredibly frustrating to just sit around and debate the subject when everything was changing drastically around them. Marius was sickened by it really he wanted to keep on moving, to just stop speaking and just go and walk int he direction of Lakeside. It wasn't the very worst idea, it really wasn't.

A soft sigh parted Marius lips as he listened to the last words spoken between them. Yumi and Asrai had both vanished from the web of it all. Saduris was calm, and calculative as always and would not say much of anything when it came to this choice, and so now little Marius stood looking up at Lucas with careful eyes. It felt queer that he would be the one forced to stand up at last towards Lucas but it was kind of intriguing in the same. He had a few things on his side at this point knowing Lucas personality. One; Lucas would not nail into him if he played things right and so things would stay calm, and in a calm conversation the chances of Marius winning were far more prominent and probable.

Marius stepped forward and with a quivering lip he spoke up staring directly with silver blue eyes into those of his older brother. His visage changed for a second to that of wolf, which only made it easier and harder in the same moment. A soft whimper passed through and he tried to form it to words but in the end he couldn't and Marius turned away his eyes down turned and a cold front blew in over his face. he didn't make eye contact after that only spoke in a more calculative tone as he passed by Saduris.

"I think the decision is made lets go."

it was so out of character for the small little elven boy but something had clicked in his time of weakness; of fear and so this was the best way he could handle it. Marius did not look but once to see if Saduris was following, and even slightly if Lucas also would follow. His head finally poked around the corner to see little Yumi Asrai approaching, moving in towards a young little yumi curled up with a little critter sitting next to her. "A fox?" he questioned softly to himself and then pulled the mask down again as he called to each of them, he was taking charge, both of the younger siblings were taking charge and leading this, because they were tired of sitting around debating.

"Asrai, Yumi its time to go we need to get on the road before nightfall."

His voice was soft, far less cold or calculative as it had been when speaking before, perhaps it had moderated itself for the younger siblings and how they might respond best. Parts of that still remained however, and Marius turned without another word and started to work his way through the tall grass to find the way out. he glanced to the sky and could quickly tell the direction the needed to head. He was alone for a second, and he wanted to try something. The others would be coming up behind him swiftly he guessed so he had a little bit of time to work into his head the components, the materials, the symbols he would need to make and the formula of that odd knowledge that he innately somehow understood.

Marius glanced behind him for a second, then softened his breath until he was controlling it entirely, he needed to focus, he needed to calm himself and focus on that form, the most general idea of power, the element that defined power for him and most others. "Fire.." he he spoke in a soft breath of a voice. His hand began to move slowly but precisely as he tried to muster up the focus he needed. His hand started to feel hot, it almost felt like it was burning at one point and just as they one of them might have poked their head around the corner of the ruin he was practicing behind; a quick shot of orange and yellowish flame like a dart short forward and hit the ground with a very small explosion. His finger instantly cooled down, but his mind had only just started by this point.

Marius stood there mesmerized by what he had done, it was exciting, it was nostalgic, and he couldn't help but feel proud. The younger brother in him wanted to just run back to receive praise from the older siblings, it was silly but he couldn't help it. However no one was around yet, no one at all and he hadn't nearly perfected it for battle, or even just for show really. "I will get better." he said under his breath as the rest of them finally came around (When I say rest of them I leave it up to you all who will follow if you don't follow I will handle you in private rp.)

Bleakfen River~

Their was no road to follow, nothing that would have made it easy to stay on track, just tall grassy plains and the lush green of a nearby forest at the north west. Marius was sure of himself however, he knew which way they were going by the over all temperature and the condition of the dirt that they tread upon. The grass was more and more moist, the more south west they travelled and before long it was not hard for them to get the scent of the Bleakfen River. "We are close!" Marius called back energetic to the others, because now that the actual adventure had begun, it was his more childish excited side that had kicked in. "The river is just south of us, if we follow it at a steady pace we can make it to Lakeside fairly quick, id say within a few days!"

Marius took off at a sprint now, not thinking, or caring about any of the things that had plagued him before. It was partially because of how thirsty he was, and otherwise it was the knowledge that he might find food somewhere near, maybe he could fish; even though that had never been his real strong suit. A hill came before them and Marius scaled it with expert precision before peering out and there it was, the snake like winding river that he longed to see. "Its just over the hill!" At that point Marius could not hold back excitement anymore. he was dashing towards the river and honestly it didn't seem like he could be stopped by anything..

He was wrong...

A gruff like roar sounded out, a rough tone that carried over the area, but it was not all that unfamiliar. A brown creature with dull grays and blacks mixed into its fur emerged near the river. It had a fairly long nose but was huge in nature. It appeared to be swiping at little flittering bright creatures. Disgruntled growls emerged everywhere as well as the lightest tone of a giggle here and there. Marius could not help his elvish curiosity by this point, he just couldn't and he snuck closer, much slower and doing his best to muffle his sound and not disturb the party. It took a lot but he could see them, he could see the little crystalized almost butterfly winged creatures. They were almost entirely nude, covered in just the bare minimal for green flow like clothing that covered their most sincere areas slightly. His eyes were bright with wonder as he watched them dance around the large creature, and a soft tone of voice could be heard even then from the little butterflys, or whatever they were. Marius thought back to reading about garden dancers, or Fairies the little sprites that loved to take a place near beautiful placed, that loved to play and toy around with others. They were harmless creatures and mesmerizing to the strongest mind but hed never thought he would run into these beautiful little creatures so close to home.

A small hand passed through the air ushering them to come near to see what he could see. It was a spectacle he couldn't help but appreciate, and the more he watched the more he could tell that the large one was not actually trying to hit them, rather than scare them from him. The little fairies danced around , a ballet upon the soft winds of the air and a majestic song that seemed to guide them along. They were careless, carefree in the best of ways, and did not even care to notice little Marius or the others as they joined him. Marius was learning something here. very quickly and it brought a smile to his face as he whispered under his breath.

"This place.. Terrameya it is truly magical..

truly."

There was a loop and Saduris played as if she were not involved, regardless of what was being said she go where the source was. It was right to do so. As far as she looked at it, none of them really needed her help figuring out where to go or what to do, it was all about the common sense in the matter. Marius already knew Lucas' idea would fall out of favor with the mass majority, not that it was a bad on but rest was irrelevant when they had awaken. She'd figured when they really needed her she would give them the help they needed. This was her choice, though it was sad that none of them had seen so.

Closely she'd watch the one who she had found vastly intriguing stand up to the eldest boy with a cold and outlandish demeanor...even for him. Though he still treated this with much firm intent, not like that of an angered child and that alone brought a smile to Saduris' face. It was not a mock to Lucas but more an enjoyment that the kids adapted to the situation so well. As he looked back, he had of course seen her smile and her compliance with his choice.

The way he easily beckoned the other two to leave was better than he had let Lucas down as if he predicted how they would respond to this choice of tone. Saduris followed him out but not as close, his trail could be followed easily through the high green blades. He looked as if he were in some kind of thought about something, it in turn cause a small pinch of curiosity to rise. Almost as if he had not noticed her quiet feet and presence at the time, she had toed around behind him as if to make sure she was seen by him, she peeked behind the ruin wall in that moment she'd seen a small flare of fire spew from his finger and on contact with the ground it burst. He seemed to take a look of profoundness upon his face, and she'd give him her kind words of praise.

Stepping around she laced her hands together and smiled to him, her words soft and reflecting her actual honesty. “You will get better. I am glad for the way you have taken charge and that you have done some that has captured my appraisal of you further than just the books you read. You are adapting, that is all I want for the majority of you.” She said this in a swift manner as the others walked up.” In this moment between us, I'd like you to know, I agree with you and Asrai. Though, not completely, however that is irrelevant to our current destination. My reason for not saying any thing is that none of you need me to guide you. If you do only ask. I only ask that you do not make all the choices based on your own convictions, there are other views that see flaws in certain choices that you may not.“ She stepped away from him with a warm smile littering her face,”Also, do not be cold, you are a kind heart to me do not harden it.”

One could see that there would be no road for a while, which suited Saduris just fine, so fine that it put her in a serene mood. To be surrounded by such beauty was more satisfying than saddening ruins. Marius had broke her from her endearing stare of the beauty with his loud voice. She slightly shook her head at his excitement, though she had felt more excited than he, he had easily allowed his to shine through she admired that in him.

Without further wording he took off, carefree, and taking to the oblivious side of their shared troubles. Smelling how close they had gotten she knew that there were some ripe fruit and tomatoes that lingered nearby, though she'd wander off after she'd caught up with Marius to make sure he didn't disturb the fish that lived in it. By the thought he would she walked at a faster pace and from his back she couldn't see why he had not continued on but she figured he was just taking in the view until she got closer and saw the creatures of myth, Sprites, or Fairies, the little winged women had gone by a many of names. From the looks of it both the bear and the fairies seemed to bask in one another's company even to go as far as playing with eachother. At this point it couldn't have been a surprise to see one since they had seen a god like being moments before. It was a gorgeous sight to behold in this part of the world.

Asrai lingered in the ruins until it was time to leave, keeping a watchful eye on her elder sister. She wasn't surprised to find Marius leading them west, although he was much more straightforward than usual about it. He'd done a great deal of changing in light of this new life... and she was still unsure how to feel about the new Marius. A good majority of their venture to Lakeside included a mental evaluation of the events so far. Eventually she stopped trying to keep pace with the others, drifting toward the back of the group without a care.
Asrai was lost in her own little world, woken every now and again by a pang of hunger or a sore limb. After the first few hours hunger became a contender for her thoughts. It was true, what people said: it was amazing how hard a person thought about food when their stomach was empty. Who knew how many days they'd been asleep in the ruins? Lasting so long without food or water was difficult, and if they didn't come across something soon Asrai doubted anyone would have the energy to continue their voyage.
When thinking lost its value the youngest child sped up her pace, eager to find something they could devour. Marius still headed the pack, and for a moment she considered trying to start a conversation with him. Maybe she could ask what he remembered about the story of Arias, and piece together something significant about the caretaker's secrets. But before she could bring herself to phrase a question the adventurous boy cried out, startling her into an unsuccessful stumble. And then he disappeared, racing over the hill top.
She could smell it now, the thick musk of running water and river plants. It was impossible for her to have taken so long to recognize it, but that's what hunger and exhaustion did to a person. Seeing that flowing river over the hill top made her happier than she'd been in a long time. Asrai took off after Marius as fast as her short legs would allow. What a brilliant boy get brother was... Asrai could have kissed him. But she was more occupied with the river than she was with Marius, or the fact that he'd stopped short. The river's call was surreal, gripping the little girl tight and refusing to let go. Mud squished between her toes and the croak of nearby frogs came to her before she could realize that, not too far away, a furry black beast pawed the air menacingly.
Asrai was taken back by how stupid she'd been. But it was too late to sneak back now; the furry menace would probably see her, if it hadn't already. All she could do was stare wildly at the creature, digging through her archive of knowledge to figure out a game plan. It didn't occur to her for a few long, nerve-wracking moments that the creature was just a simple bear. She'd never seen one before, but the little girl had read about them in an index of creatures. This one seemed mostly harmless when she thought about it. It was too busy playing with the little garden faeries to pay her mind. "Come on, stop it! Ahaha!" The bear grumbled a hearty laugh, nipping at its little friends. It was so bizarre to see such a big, grizzly creature play with such tiny sprites... And it was even more bizzare for a bear to speak in a langauge Asrai could understand.
Er, no... That wasn't quite it. When she listened closely Asrai could clearly hear the bear's grumbles, but somehow the sounds were computed to her mind in a way that allowed her to understand what the creature was trying to say. Asrai was shocked silent by such a crazy occurance. It didn't make any sense to her, and out of curiosity she took a peak at the rest of her family to see if they reacted to it. But they were no more stunned than one could be by simply the sight of the bear alone. They must not have been able to hear it... not like she could. "Brilliant..." For the longest time she simply watched it happen, amazed by how truly brilliant this world could be. Too bad it'd taken such a drastic change for Asrai to see the beauty in adventure.
After a short while her mind shifted back to what was most important: the river. The sweet scent tickling her nose led Asrai to believe that somewhere close a berry patch was hidden. After a little bit of digging, she found a small cluster of bushes adorned by thick burgundy fruit. At last! Carefully she crouched next to the patch, brushing leaves aside to search for any sign of thorns. But plants held no danger, which just left the berries to be checked. Eagerly she plucked one from its stem and squished the fat bead between her fingertips. The purple juice that trickled over her skin smelled and looked pure enough to eat, but was that enough?
Instrict drove her to pluck another from its stem and pop the rich berry into her mouth. The juice that spilled over her tongue tasted infinitely sweet, and to her delight Asrai's delicate senses found no poisonous trace. Finally, the angels were smiling upon her. A growling stomach demanded more of the precious fruit. But family took precedence, and so reluctantly Asrai pulled herself away long enough to look back at her family and shout in a childishly thrilled, yet parched and cracking voice. "I found berries!" That was good enough, right? With greedy hands the little girl turned back to her berry bush and scarfed a few small handfuls of the thick beads.
When her lips and tongue had successfully been stained deep purplish red, Asrai turned her attention to the water flowing down the river a few feet away. She crawled over to the edge and hovered on her knees, staring into the crystalline liquid with wide eyes. Her fingertips skimmed its surface for but a moment, and found that the river too was pure under the eye of her delicate senses. She wasn't quite sure how, but Asrai could inately tell that the water was safe to drink. And it couldn't have made her happier. Several handfuls of the perfect liquid passed her lips, slowly filling the pit of her aching stomach with relief.
When her throat was finally satiated Asrai flipped her body around and plunged her legs into the refreshing stream. The water was a tangible wave washing through her body and easing her muscles into a peaceful, safe relief. For a while the small child allowed herself to embellish in the comfort of this beautiful place. The sight of the sun and water sparkling upon her flesh made for a beautiful picture, one that mesmerized Asrai easily.
And then, something curious caught her eye. Deep in the river bed a purple haze spread, crawling over the skin of her lower legs. When it disipated again, so too did the flesh of her lower legs. Quickly she leaned forward for a better look... But Asrai didn't need to see it closer or longer to recognize what was really happening. Panic was an immediate monster tearing at the pit of her stomach. Usually when this happened, the caretaker was around to fix things for her... But what could she do now, alone and afraid?
For what seemed a lifetime Asrai stared into the discolored water, dreading the moment when she would have to remove her legs from its depths and see that blurry canvas again. There was only one thing she could think to do, and there was the potential that trying it would reveal the secrets she struggled so hard to keep. But what other choice had she? Sighing shakily, she cast a glance over her shoulder, praying to whatever spirit would listen that none of her siblings were too interested in the little girl in light of fresh water and food. Then, slowly, she closed her eyes and drew up the vision of a simple pair of boots. The well-worn white pair she always wore at home, good for travel and normal enough to be discrete.
Swaying her legs back and forth in the water, the young girl slowly opened her eyes. She peaked, with a deep breath, and found her legs to be very normal looking again. Sure, the white leather of her boots were now soaked and they would be heavy to walk in later on, but at least they were there and in-tact. A relieved smile tore across her face as she pulled herself from the river and scooted back into the grass. Once there, she sprawled out in the sunlight and closed her eyes, hoping that the sun would dry her out enough to put her heart at ease. There was still a risk. But at the very least she'd found a temporary solution to her problem... All Asrai could do now was pray everything worked out.

He heard the words of the small girl as she spoke about home, saying that it was best to head towards menest the village that they were once part of...but he had to question in his head why, why were they so eager to return right now? His mind just could not fathom their own, the way their little minds ran...though when Asrai mentioned something about Wolf his body tensed up almost on instinct. Wolf.....was he apart of this wish sign stuff...was he apart of this game between gods and mortals and if he is what would he think about as far as planning and such, his own mind fell still at that point falling silent and trying not to overthink about anything that the kids were planning to get them home, he was just as curious to see home as them but he himself could not help but wonder......what if something had happened to the village? What if the Caretaker...their Father had sent them away because danger was on the horizon and making a beeline straight for the welcoming gates of their village and now they ran that village? He looked up from his thoughts once again only to find Marius staring up at him.

Time seemed to stand still if even for a few moments between the staring contest, he waited for Marius to part his lips and speak shouting about how they never did anything he said or something like that. Instead though when time seemed to catch up on them his small head slipped to the side and those blue eyes upon the ground as he walked away leaving Lucas to ponder those actions for a mere moment. He heard his voice carry over the ruins gathering the two youngest and letting them know they were going to begin moving before nightfall would dance upon their group. He had to wonder watching the way Marius seemed to be handling things, if the small boy felt like one of the adventurers from his book leading an expedition across the harsh plains leading to menest. This brought a small smile to his lips as he thought upon Marius carrying a pair of binoculars and a map shouting which way they had to go, the creatures they would be fighting and etc. When the family had began heading out as a whole it was only then did Lucas carefully wrap up the only map they had and tucked it away in his shirt before walking slowly and making his way over to the group of siblings.

Hours seemed to pass as their feet danced across the earth of the planet each small step seeming to guide them along to the destination that the two youngest had decided....the ending of the path they were meant to take, but of course he knew that somethign would distract them all if not catch the attention of the entirety of their little group and with a shout of glee and a snicker from himself he watched Marius dive down the hill and begin running towards the form of a grey creature that rested at the bottom of the hill. The creature had what seemed to be insects dancing around its head from what he could see and his paws danced through the air trying to swat the nuisance away from its own bubble and trying to scarstood juste the small insects...he had to admit the scene was like a picture painted so elegantly among the pure white of a canvas..it was extravagnt and something he could sit and look at forever if he so wished, something he would enjoy if he had the time, but just like the heroes of old they had a duty to uphold, to push forth for, so instead of inching towards the scene that played out between the grey creature and the flies Lucas instead made his way to the edg of the lake where he saw the youngest and merely stood remaining as quiet as he had been since they left the ruin...all he wondered now was, what waited them at home and would it make or break their bond of trust..?

(I do apologize for the shit that is this post...things are not exactly great for me right now but when everything settles I promise to make better posts)

The small girl had been laying there in that bed for only mere moments when Marius' voice chimed in, and he announced that it was time to head out. She'd also caught Asrai's name, and wondered if the youngest was silently observing the sleeping Fox Maiden upon her bed with her small companion. The thought brought a smile to her thin lips, but it hadnt lasted long. Yumi rose from the bed, the fox beside her hopping up on its paws, and then leaping up to her shoulder as if that was where it preferred to perch. A giggle slipped Yumi's lips, all of her fear, and anger she'd felt earlier completely diminishing the instant the small Kit licked her cheek. Her, and her new friend crawled out of the ruins only to see that the others had already begun their trek along the road, and so the small one ran after them. She'd always been fast, and so catching up was no task.

They walked for what seemed like hours, each of them doing their own thing on the way. Yumi was paying attention to the critter upon her shoulder. The small, male sat upon his perch head held high giving him a proud proud look. She giggled, and reached up to run her hand over his head, his fur soft, soothing. He yipped at her, licked her hand, and then took his proud stance once more. It was adorable. He needed a name though, and Yumi wasnt good with names, so she settled for something simple.

"Neh, Kitsu-Kun? Are you hungry?"

The fox looked at her, tilted his head, and then jumped from her shoulder to prance around her feet. She assumed that was a yes, unfortunately, she didnt have any food to give him, and a frown flitted across her features. She felt bad that this poor creature had chosen to be by her side, and she had nothing to give him in return. Luckily Marius was waving them over to spectate something. Yumi patted her shoulder, and bent down so that Kitsu could take his place there, once he did, she climbed to the top of that hill, and gazed upon the large, furry animal swatting at the most beautiful things she'd seen in a long time. She though that the butterfly she'd caught just the other night was pretty, but these small, winged creatures were simply gorgeous. Kitsu seemed to notice them as well, his amber eyes were locked on the scene, and he crouched down as if ready to pounce, and play with them just like the bear was doing.

Yumi placed a hand on the fox's chest as if telling him to stay put, and he seemed to notice because he licked her cheek again, and then leaped from her shoulder to run off toward Asrai where she laid in the grass. Yumi looked over to see the little fox licking at the small girl's face, and prancing around her head. It was as if he was trying to cheer her up because he knew that seeing Asrai happy made Yumi happy. The Fox Maiden giggled, and pried her eyes from the bear, and its friends to walk over to where Asrai was laying, the Asian female sat beside her, Kitsu moving to curl up in her lap. The two were quite a pair, as if they belonged together, and to a trained eye, one could see many similarities in fur color, eyes color, and personality. Yumi wasnt so worried to allow her sibling know her secret, but she wasnt fully ready to let them see her true form.

"Neh, Asrai? Did you say you had berries?"

The small girl questioned after a moment of silence. She wanted to start some sort of conversation as they all rested for a moment. It was all she could think to do as she wasnt exactly as bright as the Painted Princess before her. A secret nickname she'd given to her younger sister. She'd always seen Asrai as a work of art, a true beauty. The name just fit.

Yumi, The Calm.

Marius and the others enjoyed the small amount of time they spent at the edge of the river, they gathered berries and other miscellaneous supplies and the journey of course continued.

Marius found times when everything was calm that he would be glancing back at Saduris, he thought back to her words of encouragement, and it placed a smile upon the young elven boys face. Sure he was young, but at night when he had hit time about him, whenever he could he worked more and more to learn his spells, and he even had started to learn other formulas, to actually cool the moisture in air down rapidly, it hadn't become ice yet but that was the objective and whenever he had a moment he practiced it away from the others. While Marius knew it was important that they know what each other could do, he couldn't bring himself to be the first one to actually reveal himself. He couldn't make that step.

A few days passed rather rapidly after the whole fairy incident and after that with new energy in their bodies the trip was much easier. A few days in and off of a cliff the small gray of a smoke cloud could be seen, which meant that they were not far off from the village of Lakeside. They would be able to reach it by the end of the day. Marius always lead the charge, and as such he always was the one to shout at the rest of them. "I can see the Lake! Lakeside is right down the hill!" His excitement imminent in each part of his voice. The food supply had actually started to deplete again, and so the family was probably pretty wonderful news for the family that they could resupply soon.

Night fell in and as it did the family made their last step down the path and could see through a make shift gate into the village. It was quiet and two Soldiers clad in black and gold armor stood at the gate with Long spears stationed. They were not the most friendly sight to be seen. Each guard looked to the darkness but hadn't exactly seen the family yet and so they remained at the gate stationed and ready while the absolute peak of the night set in over the village.

With food in their bellies and water at their side the young siblings set off in pursuit of Lakeside. Their voyage was long, punctuated by small windows of rest that kept Asrai from completely losing herself to complaints of exhaustion, hunger and boredom. They all probably felt the same way, and the young girl had to bet that whining about it out loud would only make their anxiety that much more pronounced in the long hours of walking. To keep herself occupied the little Asrai conversed with her youngest sister at times, pointing out pretty things she spotted in nature and making a game out of it. Yumi seemed to find comfort in the beautiful things they found together, which comforted Asrai in return.

Dark was approaching by the time they made it to Lakeside. From a distance Asrai could just make out a large wooden wall around what she assumed to be the little village. The sight of it put her on edge, if only because she hasn't quite planned for the fact that they would have to somehow find a way in. The closer they came the more nervous Asrai felt, and when they reached the edge of the forest the small child stopped dead in her tracks, pulling the rest of the family to a standstill with her. Not too far away a pair of guards towered at their posts beside a gate, probably the ones they would soon have to enter. But something other than the gates caught her attention.

"They have the same armour as the Imperial soldiers wore in that vision..." Specifying which vision wasn't necessary, the bloodstains were fresh in her mind and she assumed in everyone else's as well. But her little piece of information seemed to set a darker tone for their voyage; already the young kids were running into traces of a decision they hadn't yet made, and this was only the first stop on a surely long road to enlightenment. What else would they find in this village? The young girl found herself eager, and scared to find out.

The siblings conversed quietly in the shadow of the trees, formulating a plan of attack rather than going in and making something up on the fly. Some favored the idea of seeking in, and others leaned toward sweet talking the guards. Asrai agreed with the latter idea; as far as she knew, they were relatively unknown in this world. It seemed unlikely that the people in this village would see through their youthful faces and realize the power they kept hidden. After a little roundabout discussion it was decided that Lucas would lead the conversation, and the others would huddle together like an exhausted and desperate family, following their oldest member in hopes of new supplies and something to sate their empty stomachs. Asrai wouldn't find the task difficult in the least bit - she was already tired, famished and in need of a good hot bath. Her role was simple... She just hoped that Lucas would be able to pull off his end of the play.

Well it was decided he would sweet talk the guards in the little ones words, of course to him it just meant talking their way in. Ever since he was little he was always good at that conversing with people to get what he wanted out of them whether it be information or something they had but this time something else was on th table their way into the village. They had begun their trek there and soon he stood face to face with the two guards at the gate, their little family covered in dirt, their clothes tattered and torn making them look like nothing more than beggars and then the tip of his conversation was decided, his violet eyes gazed at the guards tiredness reflecting within them yet as well as sorrow he finally spoke his voice lacking any of its normal tone to it and seemed to house grief.

"Evening Sir" he said speaking to the guard directly to the left of the gates "My name is Lucas and this here" he spoke waving his hand lightly to the people behind him, "is my family, we were on our way northbound towards a city when our caravan was ambushed by bandits, they drove us from the caravan and made off with it...we merely seek refuge amongst this small village for a night."

The guards gruff voice rang out once his ended, the voice teetering to Lucas' ears "Bandits?? What bandits here?" Oh shit Lucas didn't think about that with the guards here bandits wouldn't attack here would they, or maybe he should have just told the truth instead his lips parted again to speak this time delving deeper into a saddened tone.

"No the bandits were a few days back that way.." he pointed his finger off in the direction they came, before rotating his body back around to stare at the two guards. "They took everything we had but the clothes on our back, and whatever we held in our pockets, they merely ran off with the goods we used to make our living." he looked down at that note and leaned in close to the guard he was speaking to a light whisper now parting his lips "I haven't told my kids yet" he motioned back towards the three youngest behind him "that their mother had stayed upon the caravan..that they had taken her, I wanted them to have a tinge of hope left within them. So please I beg you" he folded his hands up in front of him his saddened tone turning hopeful for a moment "please don't turn me and my family away we promise not to cause any trouble"

The guards had begun discussing among themselves inaudibly as he stood there he waited for their answer, it was then that they finally turned towards him they seemed angered for a moment. "get in here and take care of your kids," Lucas brightened up and smiled "Oh thank you, Thank you" He beckoned the rest of the family in first watching as one of the two guards patted each Asrai and Yumi's head as they entered. They were inside like they wanted and now it was a matter of waiting for a place for them to talk.

With that they made it in the city, they carefully walked past the guards and soon enough sorted themselves into an inn for probably a single night. The door shut to their single room and Marius looked to Lucas with a slight glare. As it stood for him, he wasn't the best with words, not like Wolf, or so he thought Lucas, but it also seemed that Lucas' talents only extended to girls. "What was that?' He demanded looking Lucas straight in the eyes, he wasn't all about yelling or anything but, the fact was that after this they could probably never visit this village again thanks to the string of lies he'd presented. "A lie is something you have to keep up, and how are we going to keep up the lie of us being your children, it hardly even made sense to begin with." he was frustrated because of how asinine the lie was to begin with, but he was thankful that the guards were also so very naive to the game, it wouldn't last though, they would have no time aside from bare minimal rest, and gathering supplies, before they needed to get out, because truth be told, the Guards were going to go searching for the "caravan" we lost, after all supplies are handy in any case, and one mans loss is another treasure.

Marius let the conversation fall after that and curled up next to the window, he was cranky, tired by all means and he just wanted to relax and enjoy a single night of solace while they could. His dreams were not so pleasant to behold however, he dreamt of home, a similar one that hed had a few times, but he couldn't sort out why it always stopped before he turned the corner around one of the houses, today he understood, his mind pushed him further than it ever had and then he saw it, a skull like set of faces that held someone, that had gleaming red eyes, undead haunt in their stare as they vanished with their prize. he would wake up after that, sweating but he woke to the slight chirping of birds as he stirred himself up. Te others were still resting so he moved over to the window and calmly took a breath of mildly fresh air. The city was much more lively now, and people in beggars clothing hustled about, shop bells rang and Marius memorized most of the positions of shops, his first stop today would be a book Shop, he needed a very big but sturdy book, that and other components he felt like might help him with his "experiments"

The Others began to stir sooner than later, and Marius was quick to get them moving, even though early morning for some was not the time of kind words. Marius was a morning person, it was not by choice but he had learned to cope with it as best he could. The sun beamed down over them, it cast a light that nearly blinded them as they exited the small little inn and took a moment to adjust but soon enough they split into small groups Marius was fond of going by himself, but unfortunately one of the groups now had to have Saduris or Lucas, because of Lucas' lie. If the guards seen the kids running about without supervision it was quite possible that they would have Lucas flogged for not taking care of it, and though it would've served him right for how he'd handled things, it didn't appeal to Marius. So with whatever group was left in choosing Marius lead the way to a book shop and addressed the shop keep, a few words were said, and then loosing 100 gold pieces into her hand Marius left with a large book that was almost slightly difficult to carry, He was sure the others would offer to help him carry, but he'd refuse, this was his weight, his burden, he had power now and in order to properly use that power he needed to place it on paper, he needed to place it where his thoughts lied best... In a book.

Other components were found at an alchemy shop, and he bought a pouch as well as a a clothing shop he found an extremely dark blue cloak and some poppers clothes, something that fit nicely that he didn't look like a beggar. It felt good to be in new clothing, to have money for it, and when it was all done he still managed to have 150 gold pieces, but wasn't sure what to spend it on. Marius pocketed the extra money and was satisfied, when the others finished their shopping they would move on and head out with rested bodies, food, provisions, weapons and ... Oh.. yeah.. weapons... He couldn't believe he hadn't thought about it. Marius then rushed over to a smith, and glanced up, looking for a petite sword, he didn't have much for muscle, he would need something fairly small, the smith caught sight of him peering and with a grunt handed him a blade. It was surprisingly perfect in make, and weight, the man went back to work and Marius granted him gold even a few coins extra for the help, he had a medium length sword now with the slightest curve in the hilt, and the blade with its own slightly curved fashion, he was officially done now and waiting. Asrai was the first to join him, and Yumi was next, they both had their own equipment, Yumi noticeably set up for archery, which confused Marius a bit, as he'd never known his sister to pick up a bow in her life. Asrai was far more secretive of her stash, but Marius knew hed respect that for now, they were just waiting for the final two now.

Lucas was the next to show up, and he didn't spare any knowledge of the items hed aquired, aside from the small glimmer of a thin bladed sword with a upside down bowl shaped cross guard at its base. " A rapier?" Marius questioned but it was hardly audible, they each had some intervention, so he was curious now to what each of them had learned they could do, but to be fair he was still very secretive of his own gifts so he wouldn't prod. Finally Saduris returned, she was fashioned in leather armor, a dress and fabric hung around her, it still was fashioned but more like a dress, light to the touch but just the right material that it might halt a blade to some extent. She didn't appear to have a weapon, not really anyways but she looked confident, so that was enough, they were ready to set back off, and figure things out that was one thing they probably were all in agreement of.

They didn't take the trail, no it was better that they took the forest they knew pretty well, it was about a day away. They had weapons at least this time, so it would help with wildlife. A day flew by and they were at the outskirts of their forest, it was odd to think that Menest was just beyond this wall of trees, it had already been about a week since they had left, and so the idea of coming home felt wonderful, truly wonderful. The trees were thick so they were slowed unfortunately but it wasn't the largest forest either so that helped, and Yumi actually seemed to be moving through it swiftly enough leading them through easily It was going well they were getting close, about a day or so away and then a soft grow was heard, a low bark and when they looked about they would see a slightly larger pack of wolves that was moving in to stalk them. Marius stepped back to a point where his back was at a tree and instantly started to flip through his book searching for something, he shouted... "give me time!"
