*Tales of Orenthia*

Tetsuri looked ahead of him for a few moments, then back at the others. He only responded with a nod then turned his attention back ahead of him. He could hear the footsteps as well and placed his left hand on his hi while his right hung loosely. His ear flickered in between thoughts and his tail stilled. He closed his eyes as his aura began to glow slightly.

"It would seem that they have closed off any and all pathways in this forest. They mean business this time"He said sternly as his tail began to sway. He looked up towards the sky and shielded his eyes as he thought about a way to escape. He didn't want the others to get hurt. As well as risk putting Iliana in harms way. Although she was strong, the Order had been preparing years ahead long before they started their search. Hopefully they wouldn't realease the worst of the worst.

A flock of birds scrambled from the trees and into the air. Symbolizing that the soldiers were close. Tetsuri raised his right hand and summoned his blade as it appeared in an array of blue feathers.

"Prepare yourselves"

Soldiers could be heard crushing tree branches and Tetsuri readied himself for battle.​
 
Iliana and the others turned to Tetsuri when he started to talk. Why should they not? He was the Neko Guardian, so he had a vast knowledge and power. Seeing that for some reason he was working with the Order, he might have valuable intel on them as well. Iliana listened intently until she heard a blast somewhere behind her. Xavien and Ritesa snapped to attention and swiveled to the vast trees behind them.

As if on cue, Xavien's familiar golden light shined beside him and his staff materialized in front of him. He lifted a hand out and as soon as his fingers wrapped around it, there was a blast of golden sparks. Simultaneously, Iliana's sword lit up a burnt orange as red and orange flames swirled around the sword and her body as well. Xavien and Ritesa both looked over to her.

"Fairenz...?"

"So the phoenix finally bonded with you."

Iliana neither answered nor acknowledged the two for all of a sudden, a grenade went flying in the air. Iliana couldn't make a move to stop it. If she attacked it, it would only explode. Ritesa was too engrossed in her flames to pay attention and Tetsuri was pretty much in the same position as her. Luckily, Xavien saw it coming and held his staff up just in time to chant...

"Great Lance, swap us in your protection.
Barrier!"​


A silvery barrier caked the area in front of them and the grenade exploded on impact. Iliana gripped her sword when she saw flickers of movement through the smoke of the denoted grenade and the barrier would only hold as long as Xavien concentrated enough, which would be hard if there were bullets flying towards them.

"Here they come..."​
 
As the grenade exploded when it hit the barrier, he could feel Iliana's power double. It was as if she suddenly gained a will to fight. he turned his head to look at her momentarily an then at the green haired boy who seemed to be googly-eyed over herHe isn't going to be much help.... He was ready to speak out until Iliana spoke

"Here they come..."

He looked ahead of him once more and caught sight of the soldiers, holding his blade firmly out in front of him

He waited until the soldiers came into clear view then spoke in a commanding voice "Lets take out this group and we'll have an opened path to getting out of this forest! Though they seemed strong, they are just rookies in training"It was strange though. Why would his father send a group of rookie soldiers to try and capture them? Whatever the case was, he needed to get rid of them and protect the others.

"Halt and come quietly Tetsuri and bring the girl with you. We'll take care of the other two"The commander of the group yelled out as he held his hand upward, keeping the soldiers from firing their weapons.

Tetsuri glared at the soldiers and spoked almost at a whisper to Iliana"Iliana, lets go..."He charged towards the soldiers and they pointed their weapons towards them

"OPEN FIRE!!" The sound of gunfire rang out​
 
Iliana glared when the soldier in front spoke out. Once again, they demanded for her to come with them. But why? What did I do? I wake up in Fairenz Forest to find out that I'm being trailed by the Order! She looked backwards at Tetsuri. He stood poised with the sword in hand, looking from each of them until his eyes landed on Iliana's. That's when it happened. Her heart skipped a beat off of it's natural track and the result was a blush creeping up to her cheeks. Iliana didn't notice the heat at first, but she was staring at him. Tetsuri only looked back but with a serious look.

"Iliana, let's go..."he said. Ritesa and Xavien both looked at Tetsuri. Xavien returned his focus back on the barrier. It was pointless to hold it so he let it go. That's when Tetsuri dashed towards the soldiers. Iliana, face still red, made the same beeline towards them as well. During her run, her feet momentarily left the ground at the same moment, a stilled orange light formed at her back.The next step sent her a smaller height above ground and the orange light formed into two wings, much like before.

Iliana, face still pink from before, flew towards the first soldier and slashed horizontally. The bullets that were fired toward her were negated by the attack and she had to do a barrel roll to avoid the next onslaught. Rising farther into the air she tossed her sword downward, coming into contact with a soldiers, throat. The soldiers around the fallen one focused their fire on her, leaving Tetsuri open for an attack. Meanwhile, Xavien waved his staff at Iliana's general direction creating a makeshift barrier in front of her, protecting her from enemy fire only for seconds. Ritesa, on the other hand, slammed a fist in his palm.

"Brutis Muldane. [Dynamic Tremor]" After wards, a green light dashed across the ground and he slammed his fist down at the same time. The tremor flowed through the green line of aura that snaked towards the soldiers, causing tremors below them, knocking their aim off balance.​
 
~!Tetsuri jumped up and faded then reappeared in front of the commanding officer's face, sending a numbing knee to his guts. As the officer doubled over in pain, Tetsuri grabbed him by the collar and threw him into a group of soldiers to the left of him. The soldiers tumbled to the ground like dominoes. The wind picked up slightly as he stepped side to side almost as if he were zigg-zagging. The wave of a sword slicing through the soldiers rapidly and a streak of purple flared rapidly as Tetsuri swung his blade. Tetsuri relieved his assault then stopped behind the soldiers facing their backs as they fell to the ground!~

~!He could feel the power of Iliana and the green haired boy clashing, almost as if they were trying to combine with each other. Tetsuri's ears flickered as he looked at the two only to have his tail stiffen, followed by a growl as more soldiers appear minutes after their comrades fell. An array of bullets rang out and he slashed his sword, blocking most of the bullets. The more he slashed, the more faster the bullets seemed to come. He swiftly dodged bullets then revealed his second Aurioth Blade!~

Xavien's concentration was thrown off as more soldiers appeared before them. The barrier he held around Iliana began to falter until it disappeared completely. Iliana knew it wouldn't hold for long. There was no fire being shot at her for the time being, for Tetsuri had already disposed of the soldiers. However, more and more filed in and, one by one, they began firing at Tetsuri. Iliana's wings flapped once, hovering in the sky. Her sword was lodged in the body of a soldier and she couldn't fly down to grab it because the bullets would just rain down on her instead.

"Ili!"came a shout from below her. She looked down towards the battle that ensued below her to see Ritesa's eyes widening. She wrinkled her nose and followed his eyes to see half the soldiers aiming their guns at her.

"In the name of the Order, we order you to surrender or we'll shoot!" Iliana glared down at the men. They were disgusting, fighting a battle they had no idea what they were fighting for. Clearly, the Neko has left the Order and the Oni is no where to be found. So why were they attacking her! Xavien was focused on Tetsuri at this point. The boy was fast...but the bullets were a bit faster. Lifting his golden staff in the air, Xavien waved his left foot behind him and glared. Simultaneously, a spectrum of patterns appeared at his feet, transfusing into burning golden symbols of his magic.

"Let whims of time cease from restraint.
Slow!"​


Waving his staff towards the direction of the bullets, they suddenly reduced in speed, still flying fast but visible to their eyes. Meanwhile, Ritesa dashed forward, dodging the slowed bullets to crawl over the mass of dead bodies. His destination was a sword lodged in the throat of a fallen soldier. Once his hand was around the hilt of the sword, he tossed it upwards at Iliana.

"Catch!"he shouted. Iliana's orange eyes snapped to the speeding sword and waited until the blade flew past her to catch the hilt of the sword. She twisted it once, preparing to fly downwards until--

"GYYAAAHH!" Xavien and Iliana both snapped their eyes towards the scream to see Ritesa pelted by three bullets:one in the arm, one in the stomach, and one in his back right shoulder. Xavien could not make a move to get him in time for if he did, his spell would end., and the bullets would just tear through Tetsuri instead. Iliana's face was drained of all color when she saw Ritesa drop. The soldiers let out a battle cry. That's when Iliana's aura pulsed from orange to purple...

Xavien looked above himself at the sudden wisp of power and watched the aura that swirled around Iliana pulse from orange to purple over and over again. Oh no....​
 
The sound of someone screaming snapped Tetsuri's attention behind him. The bullets were already slowed, most likely the work of the golden hair boy. He turn to see the green hair boy fall limply to the ground. He then felt an intense power flare in the sky and turn into something dark. He looked up to see that Iliana's natural orange color had turned purple.

Soon after, a stinging pain hit his chest and he dropped to his knees as time was slowed.

"W-whats...going....on!?!?The pain in his chest intensified and he screamed out. As the pain increased the air twisted around him and he looked over at the boy with green hair laying limply on the ground. D-damn them!!!!!!!Tetsuri screamed in his head as his blue aura exploded. He looked up at Iliana who had began pulsating orange and purple.

He slowly stood up and looked up at Iliana as he spoke to himself
"So, she truely is the one that the Order has been searching for"

Iliana was as unstable as she could be in that moment. Her eyes were wide and shaking. Every few seconds, her eyes would flicker from purple to orange, though she couldn't tell. Her aura and hair did the same. All of the eyes of the soldiers were on Iliana, just like Xavien, Tetsuri, and Ritesa were as well. Ritesa's right eye was closed and he saw the flickering. Blood spat from his mouth as he reached out towards her.

"Ili-chan...don't..."he spluttered. His voice was the only thing in Iliana's ears until her eyes drowned in complete purple. At that point, the aura around her rotated faster and faster in a circle. Iliana's entire body lit up with a dark violet light. Xavein shielded his eyes and peered through the slits of his fingers. The lights and aura stopped and he stared upwards to find his sister hovering in the air with large white wings and long violet hair, eyes closed. Her sword was still gripped in her hand and her wing flapped once, scattering traces of the purple aura away. Once her eyes opened, Xavien looked up and saw the same purple as her hair and aura.

"Oni...." Even in a whisper, the Oni's eyes slid over to Xavien's in acknowledgement. Ritesa coughed again, groaning in pain as he looked at both Tetsuri and Iliana's instant transformation. So...they are the Neko and Oni. He tried to grasp his stomach, but the bullet wound in his shoulder would not allow so. Meanwhile, she soldiers gasped and readied their guns at the Oni.

"It's the Oni! Fire!"the voice of one soldier cried out. The Oni only let the sword fall to the ground and instead, held her palm outwards. The response was a bright purple light which slowly manifested in the shape of a long, recurve bow. The bow was dappled with ancient designs and golden inscriptions. Xavien's eyes flickered in realization. Just like mother...The Oni readied her bow even as the bullets fired towards her. Not at all phased in the least, her deep purple eyes slanted.

"Insolence."

The Oni released her finger from the string and the arrow flew out of her hand. The arrow suddenly burst into a mix of violet and silver aura getting larger and larger as it shot towards the ground. The heat melted the plants and burned through the air, zipping towards the soldiers who let out loud screams of fear. Ritesa's eyes widened, unable to crawl away in time. His wounds had gotten the best of him. Xavien realized that fact and snapped his head towards Tetsuri, who stood fully as the Neko, tail swaying silently as he observed the Oni.

"Neko! Do something!"he shouted, pointing to Ritesa. The Oni hovered in the air, unamused at the soldier's scrambling.

Tetsuri looked at the sword as Iliana dropped it. In response, he dashed towards it then caught it by the hilt. He looked over at the boy with gold hair as he held the sword.

Tetsuri looked up at Iliana who had fully transformed. He could feel the aura intensifying, but to his suprise, she was helping them. She had manifested a bow and arrow out of her powers. Aiming at the soldiers. At the same time they continued to fire bullets upward at her. She let the arrow fire towards the soldiers, surrounded by her aura. The aura grew larger with each second it flew towards the ground, destroying everything in its path

"Neko! Do something!"

Tetsuri's head snapped over to the gold haired boy who pointed at the green haired boy who was in the line of fire. He struggle to move and his struggles laid in vain. After a few second the boy fell limp, to injured to move.

"Damn"Tetsuri stuck both swords into the ground and lowered his body. He pushed off the ground and shot forward in lightning speed, a trail of blur flowing behind him. He looked up at the arrow and the aura that surrounded it looked like a meteor. It seemed that each step he took towards the green hair boy, the closer the arrow made its way to the ground.

He yelled out as he struggled to move faster as he increased his power. He gradually picked up speed and was nearly close to the boy but so was the arrow. In one final attempt he pushed forward with his left a shot forward almost as if he had broken the sound barrier. He scooped the boy up and rolled out of the way of the devastaing attack as it hit the soldiers and created a huge explosion.

Just before the arrow hit the ground, Xavien twisted his staff and screamed out the same words to activate the barrier once again. It was a very minuscule barrier but it was enough to make sure Tetsuri and Ritesa didn't take the full blunt of the impact from the Oni's arrow. There was a giant light followed by flames and smoke at the crater where the soldiers were only seconds before. There were no more soldiers, almost as if they were never there. The Oni watched the blast with dark cold eyes and an expressionless look on her face.

Xavien heaved heavily, golden hair hanging limply in front of his face. There was sweat dripping down his brow and his hand still gripped the golden staff. He couldn't make out the whereabouts of Tetsuri and Ritesa but he had a feeling the two were not hurt. Well, Ritesa was in a pretty bad way as it is. Xavien looked up at the sister who had turned into a monster in less than 3 seconds flat.

"Iliana, stop it!" The Oni averted her eyes from the blast and flickering fire to look at Xavien. Xavien glared at her but was forced to turn back to Tetsuri and Ritesa who had finally became clear through the smoke.

"Tetsuri! Ritesa!"he shouted, running over to them. The Oni's wings disappeared and she fell to the ground, landing on her feet which tremored and cracked the ground beneath her. She looked around at the fire with a triumphant face.​
 
Tetsuri covered the boy's head in an attenpt to shield him from the attack. As he began closing his eyes he caught sight of a barrier. He looked at the gold- haired boy and then over at the spot where the arrow hit. The soldiers had been completely obliterated and he lowered his eyes. He looked around at the forest at everything that got burned in the arrows path.

He looked over at the gold-haired boy as he ran towards him and the other boy. Tetsuri raised up slowly to his knees and coughed slightly from the smoke, but regained himself and checked the green-haired boy's pulse on his neck. He had a beat, that was a relief.

As the Oni landed, his attention turned to her.

"How do we stop her?"​
 
Ritesa coughed up another round of blood, spilling it on his white and grey shirt beneath him. The wounds were bad and needed to be tended too quickly. He tried sitting up, reaching an arm out for the Oni who had landed on the ground.

"Ili..ana..."

"Stop moving or it won't work." Xavien ordered, With that, he stabbed the end of his staff into the fertile dirt beneath him and closed his eyes. Once again, the sphere of golden spectrum burned under him and Ritesa as Xavien opened his eyes, clasping both hands around the staff that was still pierced into the ground.

"Oh, healing powers....
First aid!"​


Ritesa took a gradually large intake of breath and shut his eyes as tightly as he possibly could manage while the soothing golden aura of Xavien's healing spell washed over him. Xavien looked up at Tetsuri and tried to keep his composure, even though he was panting hard due to lack of energy.

"You have to stop her by giving her an act of love. Don't you know that, Neko? After all, she is your--"

"ILI-CHAN!" Ritesa scrambled from his dent in the ground and sprinted off towards the Oni, three bullets falling out of the wounds that were closing in his body. Xavien looked after him and sighed. You're just going to make it harder to let her go. The Oni's gold purple gaze met Ritesa's burning green one when he called out Iliana's name. She hadn't move an inch for she wasn't afraid of the boy. All the while, Ritesa ran up to the Oni and suddenly...wrapped his arms around her. The two of them were still, Ritesa's green hair tangled between the Oni's violet.

"Please...stop."he whispered. In that instant, a blaring purple light, the same as before, shown around both the Oni and Ritesa. Xavien was forced to shield his eyes again and in seconds, he removed his hands to see Iliana falling down into Ritesa's arms, with the last traces of purple burning from her peach colored hair. Ritesa held her as close to him as possible, looking back towards Xavien and Tetsuri.

"She's okay." Xavien sighed and brought his blue eyes up to Tetsuri.Knowing this boy, he'd probably walk away and leave the two of them. Then again the Neko's burning love is still inside of him. What will he do at this moment? Xavien panted slowly and yanked the staff out of the ground watching Tetsuri and the others.​
 
Tetsuri looked at Xavien as his ears flickered gently and tail stilled. Did he just hear right? He was supposed to give Iliana an act of love!? He suddenly found himself blushing as pictures of Ilian's lips pressed gently against his played in his head. He gulped slightly and was about to speak, until Ritesa's voice broke his trance.

He looked over at Ritesa and Iliana as they became engulfed in a blinding light. oh no... A sharp pain hit his chest and he dropped to one knee.

What's going on? What is this pain?

He grasped his chest tight as he looked at the light build. In the heat of the moment Xaviens voice played in his head

"You have to stop her by giving her an act of love."

Tetsuri gripped his chest harder and dropped his head as he yelled out.

"ILIANA COME BACK TO ME!!!!!"

In that very moment his eyes shot open and his blush flared.

There was a silence in the forest. The outburst made birds scatter from their nests, flapping their wings repeatedly until they took off into the into the air. The cackling of nearby flames was the only thing any of them heard at that point. Xavien's face was a color of deep red as he stared at the Neko before him. The cat boy was in some type of pain and Xavien was going to attend to it, until he screamed out into the thickening smog in Fairenz Forest.

Ritesa's head snapped towards Tetsuri while he still cradled Iliana in his arms. There was a far off look in his eyes; something dark and ominous. Iliana lay limply in his arms and he held her even closer to him after Tetsuri shouted out into the air. There was a hint of jealousy within Ritesa as he began to feel his heart beating faster than normal. The dark blush on Tetsuri's face made him clench one of his fists. You...

"Ritesa." Xavien said as if on cue. Ritesa's eyes reluctantly pulled away from Tetsuri and to Xavien instead. When the two held eye contact, Ritesa knew Xavien could tell what he was feeling. That was an advantage of being a white mage.

"We have to go now. We've made a clear enough path to get out of her. I suggest we travel on to Rosel and stay there for a while." Ritesa held Iliana in his arms and nodded and took his steps towards both Tetsuri and Xavien. Ritesa's green eyes were still darkened, but when he got to Tetsuri, he held out his arms that Iliana lay in.

"Here's your prize, Neko."he said, practically spitting the word out at him. Ritesa glared at him until Iliana was out of his arms and he walked to Xavien who was making his way across the flaming trees, looking upwards. This can't end well...​
 
Tetsuri caught hint of Ritesa's glare as he handed Iliana to him. As badly as he wanted to punch Ritesa in the face for calling Iliana a prize, he only took her in his arms and held her close. She was unconsious and the blush still remained on his face. He looked back at Xavien as he turned away from Ritesa, slightly glaring as his blush faded.

"And for the record-" He breathed in and out before speaking again"She is the Oni, not a trophy. You off all people should know that, Ritesa" He looked down at iliana and blushed again, before making his way past Xavien. He stopped about two feet away before speaking in a low tone.

"If I am truly her Neko, then I will be sure that no harm comes to her. Whether you two fully believe that I am her protector or that you don't trust me, is not my concern. I made an oath to protect Iliana and I won't hesitate to destroy anyone who gets in my way."He looked back at Ritesa, then at Xavien as his eyes Turned from blue to purple and he transformed back to normal.

He walked ahead, not looking back at the two others and held Iliana firmly.​
 
Both Xavien and Ritesa exchanged knowing glances and then looked back to Tetsuri. Ritesa was the first to speak since Tetsuri was speaking directly to him at first.

"Look, I don't give a damn if you are the Neko or not! Iliana is a human being and I know her more than anybody! Your prize is the Oni! I don't care what you gotta do to the Oni. Protect her, kill her, whatever. But leave Iliana OUT of this! As soon as the Oni leaves her body, she's mine to protect, you hear me!?"he snapped, making a step up towards Tetsuri. Xavien rapped Ritesa across the back of his head with his staff.

"OW! What was that fo--"

"You're making no sense."he said with his eyes closed and a heavy sigh soon afterwards. At the same time, his golden staff began to dissipate in a golden light, leaving only a hole in the ground where he had previously stabbed it in. He tossed a lock of his blonde hair out of his eyes and tried to take a deep breath to regain the energy he had lost because of the battle.

"I don't want to harm her as much as Ritesa doesn't, even more so. I may have not officially introduced the two of us. I am Xavien, son of Yui and Winter, brother to Iliana. My sister is in good hands, Tetsuri, but I know the place you have beside her. It is your destinies and I do not tamper with fate."he said simply. Ritesa snorted and folded his arms, walking past the two of them. Xavien chuckled under his breath and walked beside Tetsuri who was holding Iliana tightly in his arms.

"That, is Ritesa the Enchanter. You can say he and my sister have a past. Don't mind him though. He's actually not that bad."he said with a smile. Xavien suddenly remembered Tetsuri's outburst and he looked up at Tetsuri.

"You feel something for her...don't you?"​
 
Tetsuri listened to boy and blushed only when he was asked if he felt something for Iliana. He looked over at Xavien, who now walking next to him with a smile. He chuckled at Xavien and his ears flickered as he looked back at Ritesa but responding to Xavien.

"Then that would explain why he is getting so jealous of me protecting iliana. Believe me, I have no intentions of fighting him and upsetting Iliana. But as far as this legend you speak of, I am destined to protect her. Its strange though, the minute she had transformed, I felt an intense pain that ate away at my heart. Then I could feel her presence, as if we were one." Tetsuri looked down at Iliana who was still asleep.

The burning smell of the forest slowly lingered away as they made their way out of the forest. He was still disappointed and sad that he wasn't able to save the part of the forest as well as the animals, but tried his best to shake it off. He looked back ahead of him and then back at Xavien.

"I will do what I can to ensure that she is kept safe from the Order."

Xavien was pleased to hear it from Tetsuri. It only confirmed what he already knew to be true: Tetsuri was the Oni's Guardian. It was a relief to know that he made the right choice. He didn't want to throw the fate of the world on his little sister's shoulders, but deep inside, he knew she was the one. The one with the pure heart and the one that will fight for peace.

"I'm...glad to hear it."he said softly, looking once again up into the sky with a calmed grin. Meanwhile, Ritesa walked ahead of the two of them. The forest path was clearer than any of the other path's, though he knew Fairenz Forest like the back of his hand. He nearly grew up here with both Xavien and Iliana. He remembered all the tree markings he and Iliana made, the swims he and Xavien would take in Lake Quaze, and even the time where they found Fairenz's egg falling out of that tree.

Ritesa chuckled, remembering watching Iliana dive forward to catch the egg, in no regards of her own safety. The egg had burst and on contact Iliana was engulfed in a red flame. Ritesa sighed outward and kicked a twig endlessly on the ground. As tempting as it was to check on her, he had to refrain. She's in the arms of that....Neko and I really don't feel like killing today, he thought and grumbled as the three of them nearly reached the end of the forest and onto the main road.​
 
Tetsuri looked down at Iliana and then up to the sky. He closed his eyes slightly as he looked up at the clear blue sky and smiled. It was really relaxing not having someone shooting a gun at him or her. But, he knew that it wouldn't last long. It was so peaceful.

He heard grumbling a few seconds afterwards, Ritesa. Turning his attention towards Ritesa now, he tilted his head as Ritesa mumbled to hisself, kicking a twig. Tetsuri's ears flickered and he tilted his head to the left. He was wondering what Ritesa was so happy about. He purred slightly and his tail swayed and he kept staring at Ritesa.

"Hey, do you think he will accept me protecting Iliana like this? I mean, he seems like a really good guy and I wouldn't want to fight him. After all, he makes a pretty good ally. But, I will never tell him that. Its not like we're friends or anything."Tetsuri looked over at Xavien as he stared at he sky.

"The thing about those two is that they have been friends since time could tell, so naturally they're going to be used to the company of another. Ritesa has always been the overbearing one, I can tell you that. I thought that I should be the over protective one, being her big brother and all. Then again, who doesn't want to protect her?"he asked, looking down at his sister who was still in the arms of Tetsuri. She had been unconscious for a while but Xavien knew no amount of healing could awaken her from her slumber. The Oni's powers and his abilities as a White Mage were in two utterly different leagues.

"Now we have to protect her even more so than before. She's the Oni, therefore, the savior of this world. And Ritesa may not like to hear it, but it is your duty to protect her, through it all." Xavien said, voice rising a bit so Ritesa could hear him. Ritesa made no movement to address the statement. He trudged ahead and said nothing. Xavien smiled and spoke a little bit lower.

"Then again, you can't be the only one to do it either. Yes, true, it's your duty, but that does not mean we both are incapable of doing so. Just...bare with him."he said with a small grin. Xavien yawned and stretched his arms above his head. The sun light, though it was blaring, was begining to dim down, signifying the return of the evening.

"Let's stop and stay here for the night. We will arrive in Rosel tomorrow."he said, making his way to a nearby tree as he leaned against it. His eyes were lowered and he was still panting. The effects of the battle still lingered but he would be fine after some well earned rest. Meanwhile, Ritesa continued to walk, not stopping at all and not looking behind him. Xavien closed his eyes and sighed.

"Leave him be."he said.

"Mmmm..." Xavien opened an eye and looked over to Iliana. Iliana's eyes cringed and she moaned again, slowly starting to stir back into consciousness. The sunlight beamed off of the top of her hair. She opened her deep orange eyes and was immediately hit with multiple rays of light to her pupils. She shut her eyes again and then opened them a little slower this time. The first thing she saw, other than the sunlight, were strings of purple hair. Iliana blinked while her vision came into focus, seeing a boy looking down at her, an ear twitching on the top of his head.

"T-Tets...sur...ri...?"she mumbled. Xavien smiled and closed his eyes, pretending to be asleep. I'll let them have their moment.​
