Long ago in the war torn land of Morria, there was born a man by the name of Alexander Pendragon. This man was born of low birth and was forcefully conscripted into one of the warlords’ armies at a young age. There he learned to fight and how to survive in a harsh world. In his free time he snuck away to teach himself how to read and write and studied the art of war and the wisdom of philosophy. But he had always dreamed of a united Morria under one banner and where the people no longer had to worry about strife. When he grew older an opportunity came his way with the death of the warlord he was fighting under. The warlord’s army lacked any direction and leadership so Alexander rallied the men and women under his banner towards a better horizon for Morria.

The other warlords soon learned that Alexander’s army was a force to be reckoned with. Their discipline and might had no equal and soon the other warlords either bent the knee to the Great Conqueror or died trying to thwart his dream. With the help of his three trusted generals, Moria was soon united and Alexander was Morria’s ruler. In honor of this tremendous achievement, the once scattered warlord tribes that pledged loyalty to the Great Conqueror presented him with three gifts to serve as his royal regalia. He was given a sword with a ruby hilt to show his power, a sapphire encrusted crown to symbolize his wisdom, and an emerald jeweled shield to represent the peace he brought to the warring Moria. With these symbols, outsiders could easily recognize him as the beloved leader he was and strength he wield.

Alexander brought a Golden Age to Morria and soon it became the envy of the world. Alexander opened the gates to foreigners to help build relations with other kingdoms and to encourage sharing of knowledge and innovation. Morria became the center for scholars to teach and learn as well as a place where a warrior could hone their battlecraft in Morria’s advanced military. Merchants of all kinds flocked to Moria to sell their wares in the growing melting pot of the world. Under Alexander's guidance, Morria became a marvel of the world.

But Moria's success caught the attention of the Golden Empire of the East. War broke out between the Young Conqueror and the Golden Empress who wanted Morria for herself. However during the initial phases of the Empire’s invasion, young ruler fell ill and eventually died leaving his three generals to finish the war in his stead. When the Morria's forces were able to defeat the Empire’s army, one thing became immediately clear. . . Alexander Pendragon had not left behind an heir. His three generals argued among themselves of who should rightly take over as ruler but the arguments escalated into the War of Succession. War once more came to Morria and three factions under each of the three generals rose. The fighting lasted three years, ending in Moria being split up into three separate kingdoms as the generals called a truce. Morria was split into the Ruby Kingdom ruled by General Idsea who possessed the ruby sword, the Sapphire Kingdom ruled by General Ramnor who possessed the sapphire crown, and the Emerald Kingdom ruled by General Uppe who possessed the emerald shield. Although a truce was called, tensions are still high between the three kingdoms.

It has been fifteen years since The War of Succession that had ended Morria’s Golden Age. Each of the kingdoms have kept their eyes on the other but have made their own identities from the Old Kingdom. The Ruby Kingdom has honed their military strength and both warriors and mages make up their ranks. Their military prowess improved upon Alexander’s old model and now the Ruby Legion is feared by friend and foe alike. The Sapphire Kingdom has stayed true to Alexander’s vision of knowledge and has become the center for not only scholarly pursuits but also has quickly become the world's center for the arts. The Great Library of Alexander lies here offering all sorts of knowledge to those that seek it as well as the Azure Amphitheater where some of the greatest plays are performed. The Emerald Kingdom is the epicenter of court intrigue and politics as well as the world's largest trading hub. People flock to the Emerald Kingdom to purchase or gaze upon wondrous and rare wares from faraway lands. Little does anyone know that there is an extensive spy network rooted in the Emerald Kingdom.

But tensions are slowly rising. The Kingdoms of Morria wait patiently for one or the other to slip up and violate the truce so they have a reason to attack. The Golden Empire have fortified their borders with a wall and from it they look upon Morria waiting to strike. Bandits have started to pillage trade routes and roam the more rural areas of Morria where the kingdoms’ laws hardly reach. There are hush rumors that there is a living heir to Alexander and one day they will take back Morria. The Pharaoh of the Desert Kingdom seeks to wed their daughter to one of Morria’s Kingdoms to solidify a lasting bond. And there are rumors that Crusaders from the Virtuous Church may turn their attention to Morria’s lands to claim them in the name of the Sleeping Goddess.

But perhaps you don't care about all of that. After all you were just hired to take care of some bandits hiding out in the abandon town of Ul. Be you a lowly commoner or perhaps one of the royalty. One thing is for sure though, you're a young person living in turbulent times. Yet your ordinary life may take a turn.

Black Magic: Black Magic taps into chaos of magic calling upon such dark arts like the Impulse spell that ripples the victim's body with a pulse of chaotic energy. Or darker powers called upon eldritch horrors such as the dreaded practice of necromancy. If one is not careful, they could end up losing their minds before the chaos decays their living body. Power comes at an awful cost with this discipline. Those who practice Black Magic or the Dark Arts are known as Occultists.

Blue Magic: Blue magic encompasses spells that are meant for protection and spells to either counter other spells or disrupt them. You can create spells like mage armor to form a shell of force around you to help against physical attacks. Or a low level water spell that can cause problems for a fire spell to be cast. Those who specialize in Blue Magic are called Inquisitors and are often employed as "Magic Police". They're generally not liked by mages.

Gray Magic: Gray magic, also known as Battle Magic, is the most practiced discipline. These spells contain destructive power from a small fireball to calling upon catastrophic calamities like the feared Starfall spell. However the destructive might of these spells takes a toll on the caster's stamina. Going "nova" could leave a caster in a coma for days before they wake up. Practitioners who specialize in the Gray are called Envokers or more commonly known as Battlemages.

Green Magic: Green magic focuses on the ebb and flow of the natural world and the body. Green magic in the hands of a charitable person can perform miraculous feats of healing magic. But in the hands of those less inclined to help, they can cause several ailments to wrack their target's body. Be it poison that grows stronger with each spell the victim casts or causing temporary paralysis. Green magic takes a lot of discipline and concentration for one slip up with a healing spell could further injure their patient or if you're trying to poison another caster one slip up could make you the recipient. Those who practice Green Magic are usually knowns as Shamans but have been called Druids since the Green teaches you to appreciate nature.

Red Magic: Red magic is focuses on manipulating a person's perspective. Due to this it is often called Sensory magic. With these spells you can cast the most believable of illusions or enchant lesser minds to do your bidding or simply charm them better. It is even rumored that those who are masters in the Red can even read the minds of their victims. Red Magic has been practiced by the magic elite for centuries, its use grew popular in the court of intrigue and royalty. Those who practice Red Magic have been called Bards and Sorcerers. Most students who graduate in the Red often make lives of being Entertainers or even spies.

Orange Magic: Spells involving Orange Magic focuses around conjuring creatures to aid their masters in tasks. Be that combat or simple house chores. Talented casters have been noted to summon creatures that once was thought to be only myth however these casters are extremely powerful. In addition to conjuring creatures, casters may take another route and instead learn traveling through different dimensions, teleporting from one place to another, or the extremely gifted can make their own realities. Practitioners of Orange are known as Summoners.

Yellow Magic: Yellow Magic is a relatively new art that grew with the prominence of science. Yellow spells alter their caster's body allowing them to do feats of amazing strength or dexterity yet those who are skilled can even expand their intelligence. They can even take on monstrous appearances that greatly enhances their physical abilities. One of their more fascinating set of spells is able to create objects from other objects that are similar or equal to what they want to create. From a few steel pieces and a leather strap, a practitioner could create a sword. Those of the Yellow discipline are known as Alchemists.

White Magic: White Magic like it's dark counterpart has been forbidden from the magic community at large due to the mystery around it. Where Black Magic focuses on chaos, white magic focuses on Law. Unlike Black Magic however, you must be born with this gift. With White Magic you can wield the might of "heaven's" light. It has been documented of casters calling down pillars of blinding light from the sky leaving their target to return to dust. Other sights have seen casters casting spells that shoot luminous balls of light from their hands. In addition to their power over light, it has also been recorded that they have a strong tie to divination magic. Their ability to almost accurately scry events from the future have made them mythical. And they're only a handful of Mages have been recorded to have ever harness the power of the White yet they mysteriously disappeared from the pages of history. There hasn't been an official name given to these gifted, instead the title of Oracle was given to them.

You have my interest. Is this going to be an all human RP or are other races available? Also, is there a limit on the number of magic schools one may use?

Awesome, glad to have you onboard! You can use more than one color of magic. At the moment I am thinking only human.

Boo need more fantasy in her life!!^^!!

Interested but only if it's a bunch of us starting off as bandit hunters. Like I'm not really interested in a multi-sided/sandbox~esque RP :\

Sooooooo like is the RP about a bunch of us starting off as bandit hunters then we go from there? :3

Hey guys thanks for your interest!

Is there a discord? Really wanna get this going owo

I'm interested in this! Would it be possible to play someone who has come from the Desert Kingdom?

Potential interest here.

What is the writing level and expected posting frequency? And, with obvious parallels to history, are we using an original map or will this be set in an Earth sort of AU?

Can't wait for this to start.
