Heyo! I'm Nirrim and I'm looking for people with an interest in all things medieval-fantasy. I am seeking 18+ partners that are interested in playing the female lead in some stories we conjure together.
Writing length and schedule
I try to reply once every 1-2 days, maximum 1 week unless I'm feeling overwhelmed/busy irl or whatever. I'm a transparent communicator so I'll let my partners know. My length is variable, between 200-2000 words. I'm not strict on length, but I'd ask my partners to be regularly able to produce 2 paragraphs per post. I enjoy shorter posts especially when it comes to dialogue, and I like having a healthy amount of back and forth.
Writing style and themes
My stories will always involve dark themes, including descriptions of gore, abuse, violence, betrayal, and more. I'd prefer my partner to also be interested in these themes. As for my style, it tends to be introspective and straightforward, I'd say I have a more poetic writing style than descriptive and detailed, but it varies a lot by what I'm trying to convey. But I still love light-hearted themes, humour and the like, but I love a tone of severity in my stories and I find mature themes a good way of conveying exactly that.
What I am hoping to find
So I'm mainly interested in writing medieval-fantasy, specifically dark fantasy. I'm open to other genres, but I need some interesting elements to keep me...well, interested. I want someone that loves to plot and brainstorm together, communicates ooc, and is generally laid back and having fun. All in all, writing is just a hobby for me, let's not take it too seriously, hm?
Romance and smut
I love romance, give me tender and intense moments, give me the slowest burn you can imagine - angst, all of it. As for smut, it's not a priority in the grand scheme of things. I'd rather not have smut be a priority, instead allowing our characters to just discover themselves as the story progresses and for their intimate moments to happen when they happen, and perhaps fade to black when they're less relevant.
Brief plots for some brainstorming
These are all plots I have a general idea for, but nothing is set in stone and I will only provide a small description of what I have in mind for each - as well as a potential pairing that would work.
Plot 1: Ancient Fae creature x Human/Other fae
The world is inspired by the Traitor Son cycle, with human kingdoms, political drama, and namely, the wild - which is an untamed land populated by magical, mythological creatures that have a history of conflict with the humans. This plot would involve a grand scale conflict, with wars between kingdoms, as well as the wild.
Plot 2: Chosen one x Oracle/Guide/Guardian
Where beastmen roam freely, humanity suffers in darkness. Once united, mankind is now divided into rival clans, each locked in rivalry and vulnerable to the monstrous predators.
Character A(the chosen one) lives as a simple farmer, enjoying a peaceful life with his family in a relatively safe part of the land. However, that peace is shattered when a powerful beastman warband begins an incursion deeper into human lands, leaving his family slaughtered and his homestead in ruins. Overcome by grief and seeking revenge, he enlists as a soldier, expecting death to be his only escape. But is saved by Character B, a gifted (or cursed) oracle. She touches him and sees a vision of his future: he is destined to become the first king of men and unite the clans against the beastmen. She has to guide him on that path.
I'm also totally open to swapping the roles and playing the oracle/guide, or even just using the pairing and ignoring the above details!
Plot 3: Viking-esque raider x (open)
A single longship lands in an unknown place, likely the farthest their kind have ever raided. The Stormlanders(essentially vikings), disrespecting sacred sites, anger a powerful spirit or eldritch deity, marking them as prey. Horrible creatures begin hunting them down, forcing the raiders to abandon their expedition. Back home, the few survivors are tormented by relentless nightmares and, driven mad, most take their own lives. But my character, along with a handful of others, decides to return to that cursed land in a desperate bid to break the curse.
Plot 4: This one is just a pairing as I haven't really fleshed anything out.
