Surprise Landing *Closed*

Jack stumbled backwards and as he fell he shuddered. "F-Finn...blood....a-and snake...a-and...b-blood..." he was stuttering, unable to completely explain what he saw. The bathroom was covered in blood. There was a huge hole in the wall and a skeleton that was broken to pieces. Jack felt sick. He held the scarf close to his face, not wanting to make his asthma act up either. He stood, and as he did, he noticed something move in the bushes. He slammed the door shut. "They're here..." he said in barely a whisper, locking that door. He heard a growl from outside and started shaking, but stayed completely silent. He saw a sword on the wall, three swords in fact. He grabbed one, twirling it once in his hand, now glad he had taken fencing and one sword-fighting class.

Blood? What did he mean by that? Finn turned around, but Jack had already closed the door. Finn dropped the now dead snake and looked at the door. He saw Jack grabbing a sword and he followed the example. He wasn't good with them like Jack was, but he had seen the other fight. He knew the idea

Jack's hands were shaking and he looked extremely nervous, turning this way and that as the growls surrounded the house. "F-Finn.." his voice was high and shaky, "they killed the p-previous owners." he whispered, backing to the center of the room and holding the sword in front of him. "I'm scared..." he said, yelping as there was a loud smack of something hitting one of the walls.

"We're not gonna die Jack" he said stern and was ready for the animals to go into the house. "You hear me Jack?! We're gonna fucking kill those motherfuckers!" Yes he might be being a bit loud but he was ready for it.

Jack nodded weakly. The first creature, what looked like an overgrown mix breed between a tiger and a wolf, slammed through the wall and charged. Jack stepped back, but turned to see the wall implode to allow another in. He, out of instinct and fear, squeaked and slashed sideways as the creature pounced. It had Jack pinned down, but it was also severely bleeding, as Jack's sword and slashed across it's face. He stabbed it in the chest, rolling out from under it and shoving it over, retrieving the sword. His hands were still shaking.

While Jack was attacked by one of the creatures, Finn didn't have much choice and throw himself at the other. He was a dirty player, stabbing his eyes. His upper arm got bitten hard and he felt the warm red liquid flow over his arm but it didn't bother him, he had to kill this beast or he was going to die! He stabbed him again, in the forhead this time, hoping to take him out like this. The animal howled in pain and he took the sword out again, slashing him more.

Jack glanced at Finn before two more broke in, each on one side of the house, and bolted towards the center. Jack ducked and the two animals slammed into each other, beginning to fight. Jack crawled away, shaking, but the beasts were too involved in each other to notice either of the men. He stood, turning. A smaller wolf-creature broke through, obviously a cub of some sort. It mewed, as if trying to howl. Jack hesitated, but as it pounced at him, Jack embedded the sword in it's head.

Finn looked at the two beasts tearing each other to pieces and clenched his sword. He looked back at Jack and saw him killing the cub. It hurt to watch but it was for the best. The two giants stormed outside, continuing to fight outside and disappearing. He turned to his friend again and whiped the sweat of his head

Jack's eyes followed the beasts. When they went out, he shuddered, rubbing at his shoulder. It hurt from when he was first tackled to the ground by one of the beasts. He stood and looked around. The only undamaged walls were the wall in which had held the swords and the wall which had a furnace. "We need to leave soon...it's unstable." Jack said weakly, walking over to the wall. He grabbed two sheaths, tossing one to Finn and attaching the other around his waist. He sheathed his sword, then turned to one of the holes in the walls. He stood in the hole, looking up to the sky. He could see the faintest of a mountain. "If we can get up there, we can set up a smoke signal to flag down some help, what do you think?" Jack turned to face Finn.

Finn did the same as Jack and stepped out of the shed. He looked up to the mountain and nodded, agreeing. "It'll be a long journey, maybe three four days" he stated. "We have a choice of doing that or staying close to the crash." He looked back at his friend and bit his lip. It was risky

Jack gave him a confused look. "Stay at the crash? All that's left there is scrap and fire. What shelter would that provide if more of those things come back? Or something worse?" He said, sighing. "Sorry.." He said, realizing he had risen his voice and sounded quite angry. He rubbed his shoulder, turning back to the mountain. "I agree that it'll be trecherous....but I think it's worth it." He pulled his sword up a little. "At least we've got some protection now."

Finn rolled his eyes. "You know when help comes they'll look at the crash sight first.. So if they actually come to look for us we have more change at being found there then if we are in the middle of the jungle when we're trying to climb up w freaking mountain." He hated when Jack raised his voice at him. "But yes you're right, it will be dangerous. It will be dangerous no matter what we do I mean we almost died just now" He glared at Jack and looked towards the mountain. He didn't like the plan, but he didn't like those gigantic monstrous wolf things either. He felt the flesh wound on his arms sting and he knew he needed to cover it up, but with what? Everything was moist and full of insects.

Jack looked at the ground thoughtfully. He was weighing the pros and cons. After a little, he leaned against a tree and sighed. "But...Who knows how long it will be until help does come? Our flight isn't due for another two days..." he groaned a little and looked up at the sky. Why did this have to happen after they were so close to being safe? He closed his eyes a moment, then froze. A snake slithered across his shoulders. He bit his lip, his eyes flashing open. He relaxed again. It wasn't any poisonous snake he'd ever seen, so he assumed it wasn't poisonous. It slithered across his chest and then dropped to the ground, slithering away. Jack squeaked and jumped away from the tree, shuddering and rubbing his chest as if the snake had left residue.

Finn had his sword ready when the snake slythered over Jack's arm, scared he would bite his bestfriend. The snake got away and it left Jack trying to rub the invisible remains of him. "Okay let's do your plan"

Jack nodded, relaxing a little, but still rubbing his chest slightly. His voice was a little shaky, but steadied the longer he spoke. "W-we should probably start by finding some kind of river or creek, then follow it upstream. I'm assuming that it would probably start up the mountain and feed into the ocean, or at least go near the mountain." Jake said, rubbing the back of his neck.

Finn pulled Jack closer by his wrist and hugged him. Finn wasn't very affectionate but Jack looked at he needed it real bad. "I just want you to know that we're going to survive this. Like we always do" He said before letting go. "Okay, so mountain it is." He put the sword on his belt and sighed, looking up. "Yeah.. Let's do that. It'll take a couple of days. Happily I know how to make a fire from my years at the boy scouts." He mumbled the last sentence as he put his hands into the pockets of his leather jacket. "Let's do this"

Jack relaxed a little, hugging Finn back. He needed that...though he hadn't realized it before, but he really did need Finn's reassurance. He straightened again, relaxed more now, and put his hands on his hips. He stepped forwards a little, hopping up on a medium sized rock and peering through the trees. "I guess we should just start towards the mountain, listening and looking for signs of water on the way..." he said thoughtfully, jumping off the rock and starting into the trees. One hand slid from his waist to sit on the hilt of his sword, his other hand stayed on his hip.

Finn smiled as Jack put his hands on his hips and listened to him. He walked up to him and stood next to him. "Well, what are we waiting for then" Finn stepped forward and started walking. He was happy that Jack was there... He might be the stronger one or whatever but Jack had brains. His shoulder hurt and was still bleeding slightly but he shrugged the pain away.

Jack walked cautiously, listening. He heard several different unknown bird calls and a few other noises, all which made him tense.
About ten minutes into their trek, Jack froze, his eyes widening a little as he tilted his head. "Shh." He motioned for complete silence. Was that...a brook he heard? Just the faintest sound of bubbling water...but where from?
