Synopsis: The future is now! And now is yesterday. Tomorrow is uncertain because sentient beings are huge pricks who destroy the ecosystem of every planet they reach after like a couple hundred millennia. Hundreds of thousands of millennia later, there are no more resources. Water is artificially constructed by machines which are slowly failing and no new parts can be made because they don't have the materials. Construction, manufacture, maintenance, and fiscal professions are all obsolete. We have three options. We can cope and find ways to recycle or use no materials, we can leave the galaxy, or we can all keel over and die. Obviously, sentient beings are pricks, so the first option is out. We must expand or die. Luckily, the inability to afford waging war means that politics are very stable, but people are dying because their professions are obsolete and even the rich are starving. If you can imagine a species of alien that isn't OP (which means can survive without food or water, or can kill a man with a poke) you can be it, but you gotta think about shit, man. We need scientists who can make shit out of recycled materials so we can reach a new galaxy. All ideas will be attempted, as the alternative is always worse. The thing is, all laws of science apply, so how are we going to get anything to a new galaxy without FTL? It's a super sci-fi comedy brain game. Your move, science.
