Stranger Things (Roleplay) is a Discord-based roleplay set in the world of the eponymous Netflix original series. Characters live peacefully in the town of Hawkins in Indiana, until a secret government experiment goes wrong and causes supernatural forces to wreak havoc upon the community. Citizens of Hawkins are then forced to face these situations by themselves and find a solution to the big catastrophe that continually threatens their lives.
The roleplay characters are mostly OCs or original characters, meaning that they are unique to and created by the player. Canon characters may appear during the course of the roleplay, but they will be controlled by the mods. The whole batch of OCs accepted into the RP would then be part of the Hawkins community. The mods would also allow one OC to have superhuman abilities, but that would be discussed later on.
As the RP progresses, mysteries involving supernatural creatures and such are expected to appear. Thus, some non-playable characters may spontaneously die or disappear, and even OCs themselves are prone to being victims of the supernatural creatures. Investigations can be done by any player, and the mod would accordingly attend to their investigation by giving out results of examinations and such. Also, remember that the monster can be killed, but weapons and stuff are needed unless you want your character to commit suicide.
The roleplay would also be divided into different "books", having several "chapters" each. Every book has a different monster featured in it, and OCs who survive a book would be carried on to the next book. Start and end of a book chapter would then be determined once the players reach certain points that follow the mod's intended flow of the book's story.
Success and failure of the characters in this roleplay are determined by dice rolls; a homage to the significance of the DnD board game in the original show. Every important action has an equivalent amount of dice to be rolled, and the result of the rolls determines the outcome of that action.
