Stepping Outside my Comfort Zone

Just wanted to introduce myself (Hi, I'm Hayley! *imagines a group of people saying in a monotone voice 'Hi, Hayley,'*) and let you know a little bit about me.

As the title of this thread states, [BCOLOR=#ffffff]I'm a tad bit out of my comfort zone.[/BCOLOR] I'm not usually the kind to reach out and try to meet people, but I'm feeling particularly friendly today.

So... I guess I should cover the basic questions that I've been asked before (not on here). I am (as of last month) 21 years old, and live wherever my job decides to take me (~sarcastically~ Go, Navy... ). Currently, I'm in the beautiful city of St. Louis, or at least on the outskirts of it, and I really like it.. nothing beats home though! And before you ask, that's Biloxi, Mississippi. I am married, and have been for four years. My husband and I have one beautiful little girl named Kimberlyn, and she turns one on the 23rd of this month I also have a dog and cat, but they live in their own world... >.> Umm.. I went to school for graphic design, but didn't finish (9 months pregnant will do that to you). I like to think I'm a pretty good editor, regardless, and I'm starting to experiment with making my own images. My favorite colors are aqua blue, lime green, and white. My favorite food is shrimp gumbo (mmmmm). Yes, I am a gamer- my personal favorites are Fallout, Assassin's Creed, and the Elder Scrolls series. I would be more than happy to RP just about any scenario in these games- which brings me to the next topic at hand!

[BCOLOR=#ffffff]I LOVE ROLEPLAYING!! [/BCOLOR]I'm sure everyone here does, but I just want to make that very clear. I'm open to most roleplays, and am always willing to learn about something or try something new when it comes to roleplaying. I have been roleplaying for nine (WOW, it's been nine years now?! Just did the math in my head, sorry :P) years now, and I don't plan to stop anytime soon. I'm very into post-apocalyptic/retro-futuristic themes (such as Fallout), but also like many other topics.. those are just my favorite kind. Here, I'll put it in a nutshell for you. If you have an idea for a topic that I don't have listed below, then feel free to run it by me and if it's well thought out, I'll probably be willing to try it.

Hello, @Hayley and welcome to the site ^.^ You may not know it yet but you just enlisted in the bunny army >:{D If you haven't already go ahead and give the rules a once over, and if something on the site stumps you, we also have a nifty Help section ^.^ This is where you'll find the FAQ, and within the FAQ a list of Roleplay Tags, a list of the site's bbcodes, a link to the staff roster, and other insightful things. But if you can't find an answer to your question, need clarification, or found a bug, the Help Desk might be more your cup of tea.

As a roleplayer, new or otherwise, you're always looking for ways to improve your craft and one of Iwaku's many goals is to help you with this :D Thus the Content page! Here you'll find forums dedicated to Roleplay Guides and places for users to commission and display their own works ^.^ But if you're more worried about actually roleplaying or need a place to start, we have the Roleplay Search page :) This is where you'll find Interest Checking and Creation where Game Masters posts interests check for their future roleplays and plot future roleplays. Roleplay Advertisement is where Game Masters advertise their running group, dice, or jump-in roleplays. But if you're a Game Master looking for players, there's always the Seeking Group Invites forum. This will allow you to browse users looking for group roleplays to join and snag them up for yourself! Last but not least is the Seeking One x One partners. If group roleplays are too main stream for you, set up shop here and look for someone of similar interests ^.^

If you're wondering who I am, I am but only one of Iwaku's many staff members :D As the banner says, I'm part of the Community Maintenance branch and my job is to make sure all roleplays have their correct tags and prefixes, archive dead threads, and fix whatever you break :3 Other branches of Staff include the Security team, the users who make sure you aren't up to anything questionable, and the Content team, the users who make sure you're never bored!
