The Basics:
- Setting is Steampunk. Mainly takes place off The Asher as the crew pull odd jobs.
- Characters. Characters of all sorts are welcome. Lawmen, other criminals and crew members are all welcome. I don't want more than three people joining so keep that in mind.
- The Character list kind of got out of hand.... I'm willing to keep them all, or give up a few to be kept as is or completely changed. But it might be wise for everyone to be willing to play a handful of people. (NPCs will also be spread around to share)
- I will only post 1 once a day during work days and more on weekends. So if you want rapid fire, this isn't the story for you.
- Must be of an intermediate skill. I wont say how much you have to post, but if you routinely only write one liners, your character might find themselves cast overboard.
- No sex on page. You want it, go to PMs.
- Don't bully other people. It's not cool.
- No excessive posting before everyone has had a chance to reply. (AKA, don't leave anyone behind)
- No Mary/Gary-Sues. God-moding. Over powered characters.
- I get the final word.
In the beginning The Asher was a fine ship. Destined for the Royal Air-Navy. But sometimes Destiny takes an interesting turn. Instead of going to the Air-Navy Yard it ended up in the hands of an unscrupulous murderess. Lady Sylvia DuMont. Daughter of the late Lord Asher DuMont. Under the cover of darkness The Asher sailed over the English Channel into Europe and eastward to the Asias. After five years The Asher had a fine crew to complement it's vast reputation.
- So far I don't have much of plot other than having the crew go on a "mis-adventure"
- I do want to do "arcs" that follow one individual at a time. They can be "flashblacks", or how they came to be a crew member. Or just what happens next in the story, but centered on the character.
- That being said, I want this more Sandbox, open-ended plot wise. Less stress on me.

Sylvia DuMont
Age: 36Position on The Asher: Captain
Hails from: England
Bio: Sylvia was born into the English nobility. Her father was a Lord. Her mother a Lady. Which is why she is also a Lady. It's just an empty title now. When she was little her mother died in child birth leaving her father with only daughters. Of which Sylvia was the eldest. She was expected to marry a Lord and he would inherit her father's estate. Finding the entire ordeal detestable, she burgled her own house as her father lay dying. Stealing everything from the Estate. That was almost five years ago.
Cathy Sweets
Age: ??Position on The Asher: First Mate
Hails from: England
Bio: A young woman born into a family without the means to support her, she grew up in orphanages living off of very little in a world without the time to care about the little children of the world. The city of London. Far to busy with its fast expansion and industrial boom to even notice the poor young ones wallowing in the filth. Cathy joined up with the Asher to get away from this life of hardship and certain doom in the dirty streets of the city. For a young one she has quite the knack for keeping people in line and doing as they should. As such, she has earned her place as first mate aboard the ship.
Sebastian Günther
Age: 38Position: Second Mate; medical officer
Hails From: Prussia
Bio: Sebastian was raised in Hesse, a heavily militaristic part of the Prussian empire. By the time he was twelve, he could field strip a repeater rifle and hit center mass at 100 meters six out of ten times. During a series of border skirmishes with France, Sebastian took a wound to his knee and was forced to sit idle for six months while the break healed (insisting death would take him before he let anyone take the leg). During such time, he learned the basic tools of the trade in medical work. In the three years that followed, he became his company's able medic before retiring service early and becoming what he deemed a 'free man' aboard whatever ship could take him. The Asher is simply the latest of such ships the slight, graying Prussian officer has had the privilege to serve upon.
Princess Nadia Khurana
Age: 25Position on The Asher: Navigator
Hails from: India
Bio: Nadia was a Princess before she boarded The Asher as crew. Why she isn't home ruling, is a question many people ask. However only those closest to her know that it's because of a betrayal. And that's all she's ever said about the matter. Despite being Royalty Nadia loves flying. She can get The Asher anywhere the Captain desires and can out run nearly everything that has ever come after them. She did have to learn how to fight though, since that had never been anything she had been expected to do before. Despite this she was a quick learner and very capable, even though she prefers to stay on the dirigible.
Viyette Byrd
Age: 33Position on The Asher: Loss Prevention Specialist
Hails from: England
Bio: No one can quite say where the Madam came from. Her own account on her upbringing states that as a child, she was the daughter of minor nobility before she left for the army, hiding under the guise of 'Scotty' Yueh. She lasted only a week through training until her secret was discovered and she was discharged for fraud. Clearly not tired of the rough-and-tumble life, the Madam hired herself out as a private security worker in the Americas for some years until returning home. Her time there had taught her the tools of the trade when it came to airship and convoy defense as well as the ins and outs of most firearms, be they British, Chinese, or American. The boyish appearance of Scotty remains with her today, her hair cropped short, narrow form, and muscular build. Though of the wound to her eye, she refuses to say a word...
XingXing Chen
Age: 28Position on The Asher: Acquisitions
Hails from: China
Bio: XingXing, Star or Xing ("Shing"), was raised as a whore in an English occupied Hong Kong. She grew up learning more arts than just pleasing her customers. She learned how to use guns and ancient martial arts. She is also well versed in poisons. She was recruited by Lady Sylvia a few months after the women fled England as a murderess. Together the duo started initially collecting women to crew the newly bought Asher.
Saff Hariq
Age: 19Position on The Asher: Acquisitions
Hails From: Arabia
Bio: Hariq refers to fire in the sense of it being violent or dangerous (i.e. a fire is burning down my ship.) A 'hariq' is typically uncontrollable. Luckily, Saff is Lohar's younger cousin. The revolver is his weapon of choice. He's a quick-drawing gun-slinging kid that has a chip on his shoulders and an ego the size of Prussia. His aim could definitely use some work, but don't tell him that. Saff's mostly known for being a trouble making, insubordinate, wise cracking son of a camel herder that's ever trying to prove himself worthy, seeing as he's on the Asher to begin with cause Lohar said he wouldn't join the captain and crew unless he could take Saff along with him. Lohar implored Saff to apprentice under him many times, but Saff didn't want anything to do with it. The captain did manage to find some use for him, however.
*Just imagine him wearing a cowboy hat and a duster.
Wyatt Grey
Age: 27Position on The Asher: Hired Gun
Hails from: The Americas
Bio: Born in the Southern states of the US during a time of unrest did a lot to shape Wyatt. His family lived relatively comfortably working a small but relatively successful shop in a small town down in Georgia. His father was an old military man, and so was his father, and so was his father. It was only fitting that eventually he would join the military too, and like his grandfather, he would be fighting a war for freedom. Freedom from the industrial North and its ignorance of Southern issues. But of course, unlike his grandfather, he wasn't fighting because that was what he believed in, but because its what his dad wanted him to do. Years went by, Wyatt's side lost the war and he left America in an attempt to free himself of the pains that came with trying to rebuild the South. This is when he found his way onto the crew of The Asher as a mercenary and hired gun.
Lohar Ajsaam
Age: 38Position on The Asher: Mechanic
Hails from: Arabia
Bio: Lohar was originally a slave with meager beginnings. It all started when he was a child. Lohar was assisting his Spanish master in mechanical repairs -primarily holding and fetching tools. With keen eyes, Lohar watched his master work intently, finding it absolutely fascinating. Everything from the smell of grease and metal, the feel of the tools in his hands and the sight of intricate parts that made up the dynamo his master was working on, it was all so incredibly alluring to him. Words could not explain. Starting from that day, when Lohar wasn't working his body to its limits in the fields or wrestling with friends, he would secret away some of his master's tools. With the tools, Lohar would take apart clocks, watches, and in time old engines and other larger mechanical equipment only to put it back together again in perfect working condition. One day, when his master was out, a man came by needing some repairs done to his watch. Lohar volunteered his services. The man was hesitant at first, but Lohar convinced him that he knew what he was doing even though he wasn't completely sure of himself. He was a bit nervous, it being his first time, but he was successful in the repairs. Out of good will, the man gave Lohar a small payment for his gratitude. Lohar declined the money, but the man insisted. A week later, that same man brought him two new customers. Soon, news of Lohar, the moor slave that was quite mechanically inclined, began to spread. This was news that his master did not take kindly to...
Technology:

- Clockwork powered devices
- Anything that will fit in with being over powered.
Currently England is a world power along with Russia, China and a few European Countries.
Next would be the Middle Eastern States, which Consist of Prusia, Persia, and Arabia.
The Asian countries are pretty much what they are at the moment.
The Americas are no longer colonies, but they aren't quite a world power yet. A lot of the West in America is unsettled and still inhabited by the Natives. South America is also largely unsettled. Mainly because of the dense jungles.
