Starlight City. That's it. Not Starlight Kingdom. That one is for the history books. Located on an island roughly twice the size of the combined mass of the Hawaiian islands at a halfway point between the east coast of the USA and the UK.

In ancient times, it was called Atlantis. Now, it's got other nicknames. Not all of them are repeatable in polite company. You see, reality itself is just a little... damaged around this island, and portals directly to places people call Heaven and Hell both for lack of a better word, and, well, the things who come through those portals call them that too.

That's not the only pair of portals you'll find in Starlight City. The main civic center plaza has a huge one. But, you really never know where that one is going to go, or who or what is going to come out of it. Why base your city around such a random thing? Would you rather the strange visitors from other realities show up on the outskirts of town, where if they have ill intent they have plenty of time to hatch their nefarious plans? See, I knew you'd get it.

And that was great, sort of, for awhile. Then, well, portals just started showing up all over. People appearing, disappearing, and so on. Reality just was blindfolded and handed a big handful of darts. If you get hit by one, you might get superhuman powers. You might... well disappear. The thing is, a lot of people are really tempted to take that chance. Plus, rumor has it that there's other things out there, enhancers if you will, that can amp you up as surely as that random bolt from heaven, hell, or wherever, can.

Even if you're not interested in becoming more than human, it's pretty much the best place in the world to get fame and notoriety, so there is that. Or, you might have just been born here and this crazy is the normal you know.

Starlight City is a easy to find city. It is a world where heroes, villains and supernatural creatures live. It borders the world of fiction and fanfiction. Come to the city, we have a school, some great attractions and have a good time! Just know that death could lurk around any corner. - Taken from a tourist who left.... It's all lies.

Locations

Starlight Academy- The school Academy where students can enroll and take classes from daycare all the way up to and through college. This will consist of the dorms, the connecting bridge between dorms, classrooms, houses for the teachers and the school's boiler room and adminstration office and medical wing

Police Station- This consists of the station and the meta-human task force for the city and includes the jail.

Starlight Graveyard- This is the graveyard where there is a certain god who you can make deals with to bring your loved ones back from the dead or visit the dead.

Glistening Lake/Rainbow Forest- It is a rainbow lake and it shows you your favorite colors at certain times of day. The lake can give you powers if it deems that you are worthy. There's a guardian sprite of the lake. The forest is the area that surrounds the lake and holds the cities worst creatures

Downtown Starlight City-- This consists of the park, plaza, town hall, hospital, the hotel, orphanage, harbor, bar, resturant/ brothel, apartments and Superior Genetic Modification Industries.

Mirroredge Pantheon- This is where the gods of the city reside.

Starlight Crevice- This is where the ruins of church are. The portals to Heaven and Hell are also located there.

Shining Stars- The fancy hotel where most events are held.

The portal- This is where people from other worlds can stumble into here. (limited to 4 per person)

An athletic and easy-in-the-eye young Japanese girl at 16, Ayami is a girl of average height, and somewhat pale . She has soft facial features, long dark hair tied into braids, and her eyes have a prominent gold-amber color. An early bloomer, she fits with notable curves .Ayami wears only light makeup if she has to. She's almost always wearing a white ( with a slight yellow tinted ) blouse inside a black windbreaker jacket, with black tie and skirt. Ayami smokes somewhat frequently, and so is usually seen with a cigarette on her lips. She also wears a dog tag necklace, but it's tucked in inside her shirt most of the time

Personality:

"They clean themselves, the guns...but I always find myself doing this...Heh. Force of habits I suppose...The smells of oil and cordite, the 'click' of the components fitting in place , the coldness of the metallic surface...The serenity...you could say it was my way to Peace..."


Ayami is a mercenary, and her general personality fits with the many stereotypes associates wih that profession. Cold, cynical and somewhat bitter , with a bloodthirsty streak that is usually revealed in combat. However, she usually make an effort to see the bigger picture and such doesn't try to betray clients ( she viewed it as unprofessional, plus it's againsts "company policy" ), kill needlessly nor works for people with genocidal or omnicidal tendency ( she still want to live , thank you very much). Also helds a sense of honor that is uncharacteristic for people in her line of work. "Mutual Courtesy", as she would put it, "for without it, what do we have left".



Outside of combat, she's generally a friendly and relaxed person, sociable even if somber and gloomy at times . However, she is quite "knowledgable" on 'upper class mannerism' and could apply it when the situation provides, due to the nature of her work and background. She just doesn't apply those most of the times.





Not religious, although being a Shintoist due to cultural reasons, but a firm believe in a Destiny of a sort. To the point it can be seen as a strange sort of Fatalism.


Ayami developed an almost obsession with firearms of all kinds, from pistols to rocket launchers, viewing guns as the only way for her to gain a measure of control of her own life. In fact guns tie heavily in her sense of identity, as evident in her Magic. She also tries her best to be 'in control' of the situation most of the time. Her entire life's purpose is to never subject herself to be under the mercy of others, nor subjected to be their plaything.


Beneath it all however, there are "fragments" of what could be a normal teenage girl, one that has not been through what she has. Those are displayed by her subconsciously, and can be picked up by people insightful enough. Ayami never noticed this. Ayami occasionally still flinches at being touched, although it's hard to notice



Weakness(ONE FOR EACH ABILITY/POWER): Not bulletproof. So a lucky shot could kill her. Ayami's Magic however will exerts a heavy strain on her body whenever she is in combat As such overuse will lead to exhaustion and even death if she wasn't careful. To be precise, the more powerful weapons she summons or fires,the quicker she would reach exhaustion. An overstrain would lead to the shock killing her .The use of 'special maneuvers' above would lead to further strain on her stamina.


Species : " Human. Nothing more is needed"
Powers:

Ayami can summons any number of firearms and grenades of any kind, as long as she had used it before, from handgun to autocannon out of thin air with no sign except from the small black petals falls around her whenever she used her power. The ammunition are not infinite, but she can summons more magazines when she needs reload. The firearms she summons are magically enhanced, which is useful to creatures that is immune to physical strikes. She can also summons up to a moderate sized UAV bristling with AGMs to deal with especially hard targets. or summons up to several dozens firearms for a finisher move. Experiences allow her to manipulate her magical ability so that she can perform a variability of maneuvers not limited to:


Crackshot: Summons a pistol ( Ayami prefers a cheap 3D printed model for this purpose ) , and using it to fire a magically overcharged shot, destroying the gun she was holding but causing heavy damage to what it hits. The charged shot destroys the pistol she was firing and it takes a 5 seconds delay before she can summon another firearm.

Bullet Cascade : Rapidly summons, fire and dismiss heavy caliber rifles at a single target, allows rapid accurate fire at a specific location.

Chaingun Phenomenon: Summons 2 or more heavy machine guns and uses her magic to control them to fire without her pulling the trigger. Allow for suppression of large groups as she advances. She would have to take the brunt of all firearms she uses at the time however.

Waltz of Death: Summons dozens of firearms and has them fired at once. Deals heavy damage, enough to demolish an entire apartment flat. but exerts a heavy drain over her.

Blackwing UAV: Summons a UAV bristled with anti-tank missiles available for her to control. Exerts heavy drain upon her so she can only use this for a short period of time ( The Blackwing carries 10 AGM-Hellfire Missile, destroying target within a 10 feet blast radius on impact, as well as piercing the protections of modern concrete bunkers. It can withstands upto 3-4 hits from portable anti-air missiles. She can only summons it again an hour after she dismissed or it was destroyed, but she usually refrain from repeating it due to the costs it entails.


Abilities/ skills: As most mercenaries , Noriko has quite a decent array of combat skills further improved by the best military training Heimar can offer. Small unit tactics, explosives, CQB, wilderness survival,...she is quite well acquainted. This combined with the slight boost her magic grants her physically, a decent "enhancement" to their physical properties. She can move *just* a bit faster , be more aware of their surroundings, physically a bit stronger and tougher. Ayami is not an exception, in fact she has increased those enhancements to the point of being able to lifts heavy objects and dodging shots.


None of those can compare with her marksmanship however. Ayami used her guns with frankly impossible skills. She is capable of performing implausible-looking techniques from pinpoint accuracy at a long distance, to deflect someone's gunshot by shooting at the gun itself.

Know several languages other than her native Japanese with varying degree of fluency. Best at English ,French, German and Russian. Passable in Mandarin Chinese and Korean

Ayami didn't have a happy childhood, or any childhood at all arguably. Born in a relatively upper class family, she has what on the outside seems like a sheltered and pampered upbringing. Private Tutors and manners training. However, beneath that, her parents had been , in her words "rent me out to creeps since I was 6". Her deliverance came when she was 12, as her parents were shot dead at home by members of the Russian Mafia for stealing their money. Seeing her tormentors shot before her eyes left an impression, as Ayami mentally assign her rescue to the guns the mobster carries, viewing it as something she must embraced to survive and truly control her fate, and of course "not being under anyone's fucking mercy again". As the now homeless Ayami did various odd jobs to survive for a while, from hitting ATMs to working for various gangs, she developed her magic. Conjuration ties greatly into one's sense of identity , and what one lucky enough to be gifted with that can summon implicitly mirrors one's ages of self -their deeply held beliefs, their obsessions... For her, it manifested in her ability to Summons any firearms that she has used, as well as legendary proficiencies in the usage of those guns. That power only further help her survives the ordeals of the rain-soaked neon-lit streets of night-time Tokyo



Ayami life changes once more when the people she was working for, a local kkangpae branch, was hit by a mercenary with similar power to her, albeit much more skilled. Her, "employers" were quickly killed as Ayami tries to confront the mercenary , who called herself Mariette. The "duel", if you can charitably called it that, lasts only 4 minutes as Ayami was shot in the stomach. Rather finishes her or left her for dead, Mariette spares her and later mentored her. Ayami was recruited into the "company" that Mariette works for, Heimar , a firm that provides "military expertise" to high paying clients , took part in action from security details to taking out criminal bosses and even corporate warfare. With their training, she has become one of the prized contractors of the PMC. Recently, she is still trying to recover from the death of Mariette in Siberia, the person she considered the closest thing to a sister .





Family: Have a girlfriend that she is in a semi codependent relationship with. Loss everyone else that's ever close to her.
Extra: Like to draw and is surprisingly good at it . Kept a small notebook where she kept her sketches. A huge J-pop fan, but also have a relatively weird music taste ranging from 90s Russian rock to 2000s Emo. Reads German and Russian literature. A heavy smoker. Prefers Lucky Strikes. NOT an underaged alcoholic, but takes a liking to a specific brand of Whiskey called Kong, but also enjoys Absinthe.
