The Captain places his hand over his ear before turning to Lya. "Senator we're being hailed by a Captain Vrill Narezz offering assistance. The name is unfamiliar to me, but he claims to be a friend of the Republic. It's your call Ma'am."

Lya glances at her head of security. "We don't have much choice Captain. If we wait too long, someone of a less favorable may come along instead."

"Yes Ma'am." He replies. "I'll go out first and if it's safe then I'll signal you to follow." He motions to the other guard before pushing the button to open the landing ramp and descending down to meet their would-be rescuer. It wasn't long before he whistled up the ramp, signaling that everything seemed to be acceptable.

Lya gives a nod to her handmaiden and they both descend the ramp, skirts swirling around her ankles the blaster still in her hand. She gets her first glimpse of their rescuer, a rough looking Nautolan in a long coat. She'd honestly been expecting clones to have responded to the distress signal, but she supposed that this Nautolan was a good of an option as any.

"Thank you Captain. We appreciate your quick response to our distress signal." She says as she comes to a stop before him, giving him a polite bow.

CAPTAIN VRILL NAREZZ-GEONOSIS, #0059b3
It almost took all of Vrill's willpower not to let out a low whistle at the site of the Senator. While originally all Vrill had been after was an easy way to make credits, he was now somewhat more invested into this 'rescue mission'. While plenty of species in the galaxy had soft spots for humans and twi'leks, it was rare to find those who could appreciate the beauty of other species. Vrill however didn't discriminate and could easily admit the attraction he had towards the Torgruta in front of him.

"My pleasure Senator," Vrill said as he extended a hand towards the woman and helped escort her aboard The Krakana. "Will you be needing any cargo transferred from your ship?" Climbing into the ship, Vrill let out a loud whistle as he called for Drekl.

"Drekl!" The Nautolan's voice echoed through the ship as the little Chandra-Fan ran towards them. He did a slight bow at the sight of the Senator.

"<Many greetings bestowed upon you Senator.>" He babbled in his native language which Vrill had no doubt that the Senator would likely be unfamiliar with.

"He says hi." Vrill added with a signature Nautolan smile. "Drekl, could you escort the Senator to my cabin. While your stay may not be long aboard The Krakana, it should be at least comfortable." Vrill said as he slipped his jacket off, purposely flexing his powerful arms. Suddenly his face flushed slightly as he remembered the slugthrower on the back of his belt, a modified weapon that was definitely illegal within Republic space. Hopefully the Senator wasn't familiar with firearms Vrill thought as he walked backwards and subtly slipped the weapon on his belt and into his nearby locker.

"I'm going to go help your men move any cargo, if you need anything further ask Drekl, we'll be in the air in no time."Vrill added as he excused himself.

Understood.

That was all that was needed between them, a small acknowledgement of sentiment. The understanding would come naturally, as it had always between him and his brothers.

He stood pat instead of moving, his cane being raised into the air and held sideways in front of him as he focused himself.

The world stopped.

All he could hear was the sound of his breathing, slow and rhythmic. All he could feel was the warm Geonosian wind blowing past his cloaked visage. All he could see was the cool embrace of darkness before the force flowing through him brought the energy of the universe to life in front of his eyes, cascading everything in a beautiful aurora of colors and lights.

He was at one with himself and the very air around him. He was ready

Like a violent bolt loosed from a blaster, Kuu'lain erupted from where he was standing faster than any human or droid eye could perceive and that familiar constant hiss of a lightsaber came to life. The droids coming into the arena had absolutely no idea what was headed their way until it was far too late.

To any onlooker, it would have seemed as if the group of five droids had just stopped in their tracks, only to fall to pieces, revealing Kuu'lain on the other side, the wooden handle of what could be assumed to be his lightsaber held out at an upwards diagonal angle, yet oddly deactivated before it was replaced with a small click atop his walking stick. To Kuu'lain however, the scene unfolded much differently.

Force speed had taken the movement of the world down to a crawl as he covered the distance between himself and his appointed entrance in a heartbeat. The first droid went to raise its blaster, but three ignitions of his saber had rended both its arms from the shoulder before its torso was separated from its legs. The second only took two movements, a quick sweep of its legs and a diagonal swipe across its chest severed its main CPU, deactivating it instantly. One movement, a simply spinning cleave from head to foot. One, a continued turn into a horizontal cleave from shoulder to shoulder. One, a finish of the spin he was in into a solid decapitation.

He had no time to consider his victory however as a shower of blaster bolts flew down the hallway at him, forcing him to flourish his cane in a reversed grip, the mandalorian iron mesh woven into the wood easily reflecting the lasers back to their targets as he was forced back from his position.

They weren't making any headway like this.

Thankfully, his brother in arms had been able to find an entrance underground during their encounters and with another quick move of his hands, the tunnel he'd been defending came crashing down on his pursuers heads, allowing him the time he needed to retreat underground with the rest of the refugees of the arena that had piled in.

Flooded though it might have been down here, it was still movable and Kuu'lain had dealt with even marshier environments before. At least there weren't any force forsaken bloodsucking insects down here.

He listened to the bounty hunter that had followed make her offer for assistance and considered Markus's stance on the issue. He put a slender hand to his chin and thought for a few moments, nothing too long, just enough to make sure that he'd put the proper amount of care into his answer.

"With all other escape routes lost to us, it would seem we have no choice but to keep company with this individual. I will have you know however that our target is of a caliber you've likely never hunted before and the probability of your death is at least 90%. However, should you choose to fight along side us, I shall personally pay you upon our successful departure from Geonosis. Does that sound like a fair accord to you, bounty hunter?"

"Thank you Captain." She says again as she takes the offered hand and is escorted on to the ship. She smiles at the Chandra-Fan as he runs up and says something to her. Even without Vrill's interpretation, she assumed the Chandra-Fan was greeting her. She offered him a bow as well. "It's a pleasure to meet you Drekl. Thank you for your assistance as well."

She glances back up to Vrill in time to catch his dashing smile and gives him back a pretty smile of her own as she catches him flexing his arms as he removes his coat. A gentle tug on her sleeves draws her attention back to Drekl, causing her to miss Vrill hiding his illegal weaponry in a nearby locker. She glances back up the Vrill and her captain of the guard who'd followed them into the ship.

"Captain Nolan can you assist Captain Narezz?" She asks. "There isn't much to move over."

"Of course Senator." Says the Captain, bowing to the Senator as he leaves following after Vrill, leaving Lya to follow Drekl to the Captain's cabin.

CAPTAIN VRILL NAREZZ-GEONOSIS, #0059b3
"Captain Vrill Narezz, glad to make your acquaintance Captain. Quite a woman you've got the pleasure of escorting." Vrill said as he extended a hand to the Republic Clone. The Clone seemed hesitant to shake the hand of the Nautolan prompting Vrill to over extend his arm to complete the gesture.

"That's how we do in the trader world." Vrill said with a wink as he walked towards the downed Republic Transport. The Theta Class shuttle wasn't in too bad of shape from the landing, but one of the stabilizer foils was pretty badly damaged. Walking up the ramp, Vrill let out a whistle as he looked around. While the ship wasn't top of the line, it was no where near the bottom. The Senator had definitely been riding in comfort, perhaps only surpassed by the embassies on Coruscant. Vrill would give a tendril to spend a night in one of those suites. He'd give a whole lot more than that to make sure it was with the Senator.

"Cargo's in the back." The mechanically filtered voice of the Clone said from behind Vrill as he looked over his shoulder back at Captain Nolan.

"Aye aye!" Vrill said as he strutted backwards into the hold. Looking around there wasn't much of worth on the ship. The Senator's wardrobe might have even been the most valuable item on board. Republic weapons, much like the Clones who wielded them were mass produced and easy to come by, as such they held little value.

"Senator's don't pack too light I see." Vrill said with a smile to the emotionless helmet.

"No Sir," Came the flat reply from Captain Nolan.

"Alright then..." Vrill muttered as he pointed towards some ration packs. "Grab those, we'll need them to find you lot." As he waited for the flat steps of the armor to leave in the distance, Vrill tapped his comm.

"Sorry m'lady, do you mind if I borrow Drekl for a second?" Vrill's voice echoed through The Krakana as Drekl scoured to a private communications station.

"<What's up Captain?>" Drekl chirped happily. "<This Senator's a real nice lady, I can see why you're attracted to her.>"

"Cut the phobium Drekl!" Vrill hissed as he looked over the ship's hyperdrive while keeping an eye out for the Clone Captain.

"<Captain, the pheromones you let off after seeing the Senator, I'm surprised you didn't take her to the workbench and charge up her landing ramp.>" Drekl chuckled in his little squeak like way.

"Chut chut Drekl, and don't you dare think about chucking me under a speeder in front of her either." The Nautolan's eyes suddenly lit up as he found what he was looking for. "Now bring your tools and get your furry choobies over here. This ship has a back up hyperdrive, looks to be about a Class 15, I figure if you borrow parts from the main Hyperdrive here we could install a..." Footsteps echoed through the hallway as Vrill realized that Nolan had returned. "Got to go, bring the Gravsled and work quickly."

"<You really like to test your Cosmic Deck Captain.>" Drekl said with a chuckle as he closed his channel and went to work.

"Captain Narezz, time is really of the essence. The Senator has an important mission to Shili that can't be delayed any further." The Captain said as he walked into Cargo hold as Vrill finished loading the Senator's clothes

"Don't worry, I'm coming right now. My co-pilot just informed me we took some damage upon atmospheric entry though. Do you mind if we take some parts from your ship to fix it up?" Vrill asked as he pushed the cargo out of the ship.

"As long as it gets the Senator safely on her way, you have my blessing Captain." Nolan answered as the two climbed aboard The Krakana. "Though, why do I get the feeling you're as slippery as a greased Dug Captain?"

"It's my ruggedly handsome good looks. People always mistake me for a scoundrel." Vrill replied as he slapped Nolan on the back. Nodding to Drekl to tell him, he was covered the little Chandra-Fan took off to the shuttle as Vrill climbed up towards the cockpit.

"You and your men can make yourselves comfortable Captain." Vrill said as he turned back to Nolan. "The Krakana's not really a transport, but there should be a enough cases around for you to recline upon safely." The Clone nodded as Vrill climbed into the cockpit and grabbed a seat before opening a comm channel with Drekl again.

"Grab the ship's transponder too. That would be a good one to have, it's like a skeleton key in Republic space." Vrill muttered in a hushed tone as he closed the channel.

Within an hour, Drekl had returned to the ship with the parts and had begun to install the backup hyperdrive as Vrill put the ship in the air. Igniting the thrusters, Vrill directed his ship towards Geonosis' atmosphere and ignited the sublight engines as The Krakana entered into Geonosis' rings as the Captain steered her gracefully around the floating rocks before exiting and flying towards the Republic fleet. Engaging the autopilot, Vrill left the controls as he headed for his cabin, rapping on the door lightly before clearing his voice.

"Senator, we're approaching the Republic fleet, I believe it might be for the best if you joined me in the cockpit while I hail the flag ship." Vrill suggested as he waited outside the door with his arms behind his back. Raising a hand to his mouth, he breathed into the palm and took a sniff.

"Eh, good enough."

Lylith watched the reactions and emotions play across the ambassadors face like a living show, revealing his thoughts as if he'd written them down... She laughed to herself as her subtle manipulations worked into the mind of her subject, like the tendrils of the Force she used to manipulate things... She maintained her expression as the verbal exchange continued between the two of them...

"Are we sure the captain can be trusted with such delicate information, sir?" Lylith returned her attention to the padawan momentarily. She didn't want to look for too long... She could feel curiosity and... Emotions... Start to creep through her mask if she looked too long... She maintained her smile and looked back to the ambassador, simply waiting for his response to his guardian... "Perhaps you should focus on contacting the senator in a private call…" Lylith wanted to know what the ambassador would have done without the wise council of this young Jedi... He obviously wasn't very good at making life and death choices on his own, and she couldn't imagine he was any better at being a political figure... Lylith couldn't help returning her gaze to Iluna once more, but resolved to maintain her stoic expression...

"Yes, yes that's wise." She heard the ambassador reply, finally, to the advice given... Lylith watched as Iluna relaxed, seeming to understand the situation better than her charge. Lylith kept her gaze on the young Jedi, becoming more and more anxious to know more about the young Jedi... But her thoughts were interrupted by the ambassador once again...
"Very well, I will take you up on your offer, Captain. I will contact my superior now, if I may." He seemed finished, so Lylith returned her attention to him... She waved her hand towards the bridge, motioning to the section that held the long range Holonet communications. The ship lacked basic voice transmission communications in favor of higher tech image transmission. "Feel free... You are no prisoner here... " Lylith felt the words roll off her lips, even as she tasted the tainted honesty in them...

She stepped aside and turned her attention to her guards, who were still mulling around in the background, waiting on orders... Lylith bounced up on her tiptoes and snapped her fingers, trying to steal Ardens attention from the rear of their young guest... She glared briefly, and conveyed a clear, and very unmistakable message... He looked down in mock shame as he pouted, before marching the rest of the very distracted guards out...

Lylith sighed and turned as the blast doors slid closed... She half collapsed in the plush sofa as she watched the ambassador fumble with the communications array on her bridge, and her R1 droid bleep at him, angrily, in protest... Alarmingly, along with the unintelligible electronic bleeps of the R1, rose a deep and guttural growl from beneath the raised platform that the navigation consoles rested on, only a few feet away from the ambassador...

"Down!" Lylith snapped in the general direction of the noise, and it abruptly cut off. Only moments later, a large, black, Vornskr squeezed out from beneath the deck and trotted over to Lylith, only to lay next to her, lazily. He ignored his masters guests, apparently unconcerned with the intruders on deck. He sniffed Lylith as if to make sure it was really her, and plopped his massive head down onto his paws to go back to sleep...

"Good boy..." she said softly as she reclined in her sofa, next to her pet...

Prisoner? If only that was all I was... Iluna smiled wryly to herself as the guards were dismissed. Freely her gaze roamed over the bridge curiously while the ambassador tried his hardest to appear competent with the ship's communication array. She wondered how long it would take him to ask for help or accidentally stumble across the correct way to use it. Her eyes flicked to beneath the deck moments before a low growl filtered from below. The ambassador was too busy cursing at the R1 unit to notice.

"Down!" their hostess snapped.

Iluna's brow arched in amusement as a large beast lumbered into view and flopped down next to his mistress.
She glanced from the Vornskr to the face of the captain. The woman radiated such confidence and exuded competency. It made a certain sense that she would have a pet Vornskr. There was also something else about the captain... her mind trailed back to the uneasiness she had felt down below. The feeling blossomed in her breast at the memory, almost as if she were feeling it afresh in her soul.

Pupils the colour of twilight trailed across the red lips and pale face of the woman across the room until they locked with her eyes. Not blinking, not allowing any emotion to show, she stood quietly and prodded the captain with a steady gaze.

She tilts her head to the side as Vrill's voice echos through the Captain's cabin where she was sitting on the edge of the bunk attempting to have some kind of conversation with Drekl. A conversation that was mostly done through hand signals as she didn't understand the Chandra-Fan's language, though that didn't stop him from trying to chat her ear off. He was amusing though and had her laughing at his antics and large hand gestures. Drekl gave her a sad, apologetic look and a small bow before he left and she smiled after him.

It wasn't long after that there was a knock on the door and upon opening it revealed Captain Nolan along with her belongings.

"Here's everything ma'am. The Captain has assured me that we'll be away soon after they make some minor repairs to their ship." Captain Nolan reaches up and removes his helmet, setting it on the small table in the room. "I don't trust him Senator." He says bring up his concerns. "There isn't much that we can do with the ship, but I don't buy his story that his ship took any damage. I also happened to notice his choice in weaponry…illegal weaponry."

"I understand your concerns Captain, but it's not like we have many other choices. And while Captain Vrill may not follow the laws of the Republic , he doesn't seem to have any evil intentions maybe some large monetary intentions." She says as she digs through her bags for something a little more comfortable.

Captain Nolan nods. "Hopefully we'll be on our way shortly and we can join with the Republic Fleet in orbit. I'll feel much safer to be on a Republic ship."

Lya chuckles at Nolan as she lays out a less formal gown as she figured she wouldn't be arriving at her original destination anytime soon, so there was no reason to stay in her formal diplomatic outfit. "I'm sure we'll be back within your safety zone soon."

"Yes Senator." Nolan replies with a wry smile of his own. "I'll be in with the cargo should you need me my lady. As there does not seem to be any other place to sit in this ship." The last words were grumbled on his way out of the room.

"Thank you Nolan." She says with another chuckle as she closes the door after him to change.

She'd been sitting on the bed reading some documentation for one of the Senate subcommittees she was a part of when another knock came at the door followed by Captain Vrill's voice.

"Senator, we're approaching the Republic fleet, I believe it might be for the best if you joined me in the cockpit while I hail the flagship."

She stands from the bed and heads over to the door, opening it to the Captain, who appeared to be standing very stiffly in her mind. She gives him a smile. "Of course Captain. It might make things go a bit smoother if I'm there. And please call me Lya, all this Senator stuff is so overly formal." As she comes out of the room to join him in the hall, closing the door behind her.

Lylith felt the gentle touch of the younger womans eyes on hers. She resisted the urge to meet her eyes, instead, allowing her to look, unchallenged... She had been planning on retreating into her own quarters and leave these two here alone, but she decided it was best to stay until the ambassador had finished... Maybe this was a good time to get to know the young Jedi...

She smiled sleepily and returned the womans gaze for only a moment, before returning her eyes to the ceiling as she lay...

"You know, you don't have to STAND there the whole time... Come... Sit with me?" she asked, drawing her legs up beneath her, leaving the other half of the large sofa free for her young guest... The young vornskrs ears swiveled like a radar as she moved, but he showed little interest, and no intention of moving from his spot beside his master.

The invitation came as a surprise to the young Mirialan. Sit on the captain's lounge? With the captain? Her eyes briefly roved to the ambassador. It was clear he would be there a while longer and was still completely oblivious to his surroundings. Iluna tucked her hands into the sleeves of her gown and bowed her head in thanks. Her skirts swished about her ankles as she glided across the room to the couch and billowed from her petite frame as she sat on the edge of the seat. Curiosity still nagged at her but she kept her gaze to herself and down at her beaded slippers which peeked out from under her gown.

Lylith watched as the young Jedi seemingly floated across the floor to her... The womans skirt swept around her like a watery cloud as she moved. Lylith barely heard a sound as her little feet padded on the hard floor, and she caught brief glimpses of her little slippers as they darted out from underneath the dress as she walked...

Lylith smiled as she sat down, now feeling a bit of the nervousness she once knew as a young, starstruck, teenager... She felt her chest tighten with anticipation of what would happen next, whether it be small talk or... or...

She cursed herself as she realized what was happening, and pushed those emotions to the back of her consciousness. She felt her internal struggle for control of her own emotions grow as she tried to ignore them. She wanted to give in and let herself feel them... She just pushed them back and told herself it wasn't the right time...

Lylith crossed her hands in her lap, and turned her eyes to the ambassador as he began his message to his 'superiors'... Whoever they were... "So... How did you end up stuck with THAT one..." she asked, a bit sarcastically, trying to cover her slip of emotions. She hoped the question would open up more to talk about... Maybe a little of the girls past... Maybe HER past would unlock a reason for Lylith to share hers, for once...

Lylith felt the urge to squirm with anticipation, but she suppressed it and waited patiently for Ilunas answer, even as she pretended to ignore her.

Iluna bit back a smirk at the captain's question. Then a giggle. Next she had to hold in a snort as the suppressed giggle threatened to make the unfavourable noise. She decided it was probably best just to smile and let her lips relax into one. Her eyes leaped from her shoes to the hem of her sleeve as her long fingers fidgeted with the soft fabric. She then tilted her head just enough to glance at the Captain, the angle emphasizing her angular cheekbone and shapely upper lip.

"The ambassador requested a personal bodyguard. I understand that his request was going to go unfilled by the senate until my master suggested I...attend him." Her silky voice hovered above a whisper. She risked another glance at the Captain, mirth illuminating her eyes. "Master was looking for a good exercise to teach me patience and humility before he volunteered me for this important post. I think he succeeded, don't you?"

Her pearly whites caught up her bottom lip as another chuckle broke loose.

CAPTAIN VRILL NAREZZ-GEONOSIS, #0059b3
Vrill blinked twice as he looked at the Senator as she exited the room. She had removed her heavy formal robes and switched to a much lighter gown and Vrill was rather fond of what he saw, the subtle curves of her crimson bosom peeking out of the gown's neckline.

"Well on that note, this way Lya." Vrill said as he indicated the way to the ship's bridge. Extending an arm for Lya, he guided her into the cockpit as The Krakana approached the Republic fleet. Hailing the Praetorian-Class Frigate, Vrill spoke into the comms.

"This is Captain Vrill Narezz of the Krakana." Pressing a couple buttons on the console in front of him, Vrill transmitted the ship's transponder, or rather one of the many pirated transponder signals he had collected to avoid the ship from being detected. "I'm requesting permission to dock, I've recovered the Senator from Shili after her ship crashed on Geonosis."

The comm signal went silent for a few minutes as Vrill's hand hovered over the weapons. Static suddenly broke up the silence as the Republic ship replied.

"Hold where you are, please have the Senator confirm your story." The militant voice replied as Vrill turned to Lya.

"Looks like you're up M'Lady."

Commander Vorn paced back and forth across the bridge of the Liberty Star. The Republic commando was currently overseeing the flagship of the Republic when the Nautolan Captain had hailed the ship asking for permission to come aboard.

"Sir, there's something not right about this transponder signal." One of the officers said as he entered the transponder into the system. "This transponder belongs to a freighter that was downed in the Outer Rim at least a months ago."

"Enter the ship's name into the system and cross reference it with known smugglers or pirates." Vorn ordered as the officer did as he was commanded.

"Captain, The Krakana and its Captains are known associates of several other smugglers, it's not a stretch to believe that he is a Smuggler himself." The officer replied quickly.

"Get a squad down to the docking bay. I want that ship surrounded and that Smuggler brought in. Make sure the Senator is safe, for all we know he's holding her hostage." Vorn ordered as he stared out the bridge's view port at the small freighter on its approach vector while the communications officer contacted the security team.

"It's done Commander."

A bead of sweat began to form on Vrill's forehead as he anxiously waited for the Republic vessel to respond. Realizing there was a chance that they might have seen through the transponder, he reached across the console, swiping his hand across the navcomputer as he locked the system down. If they were going to capture him and his ship, he was going to let them be able to use it.

"Heh, I would have thought they'd be anxious to see you. I know I would in their shoes." Vrill said with a laugh to Lya as he masked his nervousness. Activating his private comm, Vrill spoke into it sending Drekl a private message. "<Find a place to hide, I think the Republic saw through the transponder.>"

Lylith heard the tone in Ilunas voice and turned her eyes to Iluna, watching as her lips moved... Lylith hung onto every word as they danced from between the girls lips. She listened and pictured the events as they were spoken. She smiled, imagining a strict Jedi Master suggesting his young Padawan accompany a surly and clueless ambassador as punishment... She almost laughed, but smiled instead...

"I think he succeeded, don't you?" she heard the young Jedi say...

Lylith snapped out of her visualization and simply nodded her agreement... "I can't imagine a more effective method of teaching patience... " she said softly, to avoid the ambassador overhearing... She giggled a bit, letting go of her facade for the time being...

"So, what did you do to deserve this... " she paused, waving her hand towards the ambassador... "... cruel and unusual punishment... " She almost laughed, but bit her lip, stifling it before it escaped...

A light blush crept onto her cheeks, settling just below her tattoos to give the appearance of an upside down heart. Her fingers worked her hem a little faster.

"I demand an explanation!" the ambassador burst out from his corner of the deck. Iluna's eyes quickly jumped to where the ambassador paced raving like a mad man-- which he was. "What do you mean you can't spare a ship? What?!? You started--- I can't believe--- You're telling me to be patient?"

"It looks like we will be over-staying our welcome, Captain," Iluna said lightly as the redness in her cheeks faded. "I do hope this won't inconvenience you too much... say... requiring you to pull into a port earlier than expected."

She kept silent regarding Lylith's question. This really was not a good time of divulging her insolent past. Not when the ambassador could chance to overhear. If the captain really wanted to know, the woman would ask again at a more opportune moment.

"Would it be too much to ask if you have private lodgings available? The ambassador is keen on getting his beauty sleep."

Lylith watched, pleased, as the young Jedi blushed profusely beneath her dainty markings... Her cheeks turned a lovely color, and Lylith toyed with the multitude of reasons why she was embarrassed by the question. She waited for an answer but was interrupted by the ambassador... He was having a heated argument with someone over her comm system, and was obviously losing.

Lylith was momentarily distracted by the ravings of the ambassador, but she returned her attention to Iluna as soon as she was sure her guest wasn't going to explode with rage...

"It looks like we will be over-staying our welcome, Captain... I do hope this won't inconvenience you too much... say... requiring you to pull into a port earlier than expected." Lylith watched Ilunas face as she spoke. She was secretly delighted at their delay, but she donned a frown, once more using her perfect mask to disguise her true intent... "Would it be too much to ask if you have private lodgings available? The ambassador is keen on getting his beauty sleep."

"My dear Jedi... What kind of host would I be if I refused an ambassador a room on my ship? Can you imagine what the Republic would think of me?" She turned her frown into a childish pout, making light of the situation, and shook her head vigorously, letting her loose red hair flow like a bloody wave... "No... My ship is yours... You're welcome to stay as long as you like." She smiled as she leaned forwards to touch Ilunas shoulder gently...

Lylith stood abruptly, waking her pet, who simply looked up at her as if to ask where she was going, and if he could come too... She ignored him, and he lay his head back down, obviously understanding the answer in the silent reply. Lylith extended her hands once more...
"Come! I'll show you the apartments we have available... You can have any you like! We have two bedroom suites... One bedroom, King Suites... Loft and Diner suites for guests who like to party... Oh! And we have... " Lylith went on and on about the luxurious housing options, and various recreational opportunities on the ship... She reviewed the restaurants and their menus, and even briefly went over the massive casino floor, just for posterity, since that was the main attraction of the ship...

Iluna Akari: Peacemaker, #32CD32
Iluna gaped as the captain rattled off the amenities the ship boasted. Her mind couldn't wrap around the immensity, nor the opulence. Could she...would she... No. The thought was too foreign, too indulging. Eyes entranced with the captain's expressive face, she instinctively clasped Lylith's outstretched hands in her own and sprang to her feet. The light touch sent a small shiver up one of her arms. She glanced at the captain's hand, then returned her eyes to the captain's face with a quizzical expression and again postponed her words as the ambassador stormed over to them. Iluna whisked her hands away from Lylith's before he could notice them.

"The nerve, the absolute nerve!" Horriss wrapped his stubby arms around his portly stomach and gave it a tug over his belt.

"Bad news, Ambassador?" Iluna inquired innocently.

"Terrible! They've gone and started the war without me!" His cheeks coloured with anger. "And now, because of your stupidity in delaying me, my mission is void and it could take weeks for them to send a shuttle! Weeks, you stupid alien!" A wild look entered the ambassador's eyes as he turned on Iluna. His arm raised to strike her. "You stupid, worthless, wh-"

The ambassador's words were cut short as Iluna's hand shot out from her sleeves and caught his wrist in a vise-like grip. He cowered before her gaze, which glinted like steel. The rest of her face smoothed into an impassive expression as he whimpered.

"You are in an over-charged emotional state right now, Ambassador. I think you should rest," she said coolly. Turning her attention to Lylith she continued "The ambassador would like a king suite as long as it has an attached parlour where I may sleep." She dropped his hand and tucked her own into her sleeves.

Lylith smiled as Iluna took her hands, softly... She halted her detailed overview of her ships features and was about to say something, when... Like clockwork... The ambassador interrupted. Lylith felt a surge of anger swell up inside her as he brazenly explained how it was all Ilunas fault that something inconvenienced him... She could only imagine the difficult choices she had to make to keep this... Thing... Alive, while their ship was being taken over by pirates...

Lylith listened as he began to rant... " ...you stupid alien! You stupid, worthless, wh-" as he raised his voice, and his hand, Lylith heard her Vornskr stir, reacting to the tension in the room... She was about to step in when Iluna did something Lylith did not expect... Lylith watched as Ilunas hand flashed, as fast as Lylith could see, and grab his hand... She showed no signs of anger, or any emotion at all, really.

Apparently, Ilunas grip was stronger than it appeared, because it drew a subdued squeal from the Ambassador. Lylith watched, a little impressed at the speed at which Iluna de-escalated the situation. She grinned a bit as Iluna accurately summarized the situation...

"You are in an over-charged emotional state right now, Ambassador. I think you should rest"

Lylith grinned and crossed her arms as Iluna turned to her... "The ambassador would like a king suite as long as it has an attached parlour where I may sleep." Lyliths smile disappeared as she heard Iluna finish. Even after all this, she still felt compelled by duty to protect this scum. She scoffed and resisted the urge to roll her eyes and leave the two together...

"Of course, I can arrange a Suite for the ambassador... " Lylith paused... "But I'm afraid I can't allow a Jedi to sleep in anything but my best... Since it seems you will be spending some time here, it appears... I'd rather you spend it in comfort." She paused, looking from Iluna to the ambassador to let her subtle accusation sink in.

"Besides, I have just recently received word that may change out itinerary... " She smiled and let the tension pass... "You may wish to stay, when we finalize plans and release more details... And, the republic, if they knew about what we were doing, may wish for a Jedi to be present... "

Lya threaded her arm into his as he escorted her toward the cockpit, where she watched as he pressed a few buttons in order to hail the Republic ship asking for permission to dock. The typical clone voice came through the com system. "Please have the Senator confirm your story."

Lya smiles at Vrill as she leans in and presses the com button in order to transmit to the Republic ship.

"This is Senator Lya Vashee. My ship had a Nav computer error causing it to come out of hyperspace above Geonosis and into the fire fight that had been taking place here. We were hit and crashed into the planet's surface where Captain Narezz responded to our distress call and offered my company and I assistance."

She releases the com and waits for the Republic Ship to respond to her statement and to give them permission to dock.

"Heh, I would have thought they'd be anxious to see you. I know I would in their shoes." Vrill says with a laugh.

She turns and smiles at him, crossing her arms under chest and standing in a very relaxed position. "My mission to Kiros and Shili wasn't something that would cause the Senate or the Military particular worry over. Nor are either of those planets near here. They wouldn't have even realized I was missing until long after the fact."

The Republic ship finally responds. "We're glad to hear that you're safe Senator. You are free to dock in bay 17."

Lya pushes the com button again. "Thank you Commander." She responds before releasing the com button and turning to flash another smile at Vrill. "See Vrill, Nothing to worry about. When we've landed I'll be sure you are paid well for your assistance and that you and your ship are in top shape for whatever adventure is in your future or damsel you decide to rescue next. I am in your debt and should you ever need help and it is within my ability to give, all you have to do is ask."

""But I'm afraid I can't allow a Jedi to sleep in anything but my best... Since it seems you will be spending some time here, it appears... I'd rather you spend it in comfort."

Iluna could not be ignorant of Lylith's implication. As much as she would enjoy a room of her own, she did not trust the ambassador by himself. His ability to blunder into dangerous situations, especially with the temptations of a classy casino... she could not let him out of her presence. It spelled catastrophe. Her silky, braided strands swung like a pendulum across her back with the shaking of her head in answer, but she kept silent as the captain continued. The ambassador kept his peace as well, his spirit much subdued after Iluna's display of strength.

"You may wish to stay, when we finalize plans and release more details... And, the republic, if they knew about what we were doing, may wish for a Jedi to be present... "

"I am as much a servant of my masters as the ambassador is of his," Iluna replied with a small smile playing about her lips. "Fortunately, mine can be reasoned with if the occasion calls for it. Now... perhaps I should escort Ambassador Horriss to his chambers and we will not trouble you again."
