Tydema sighs as he spots a few troopers running in the distance to help with the evacuation, but that's about it. No soldier looking for the fame of taking down a Sith, no Padawan trying to become a true Jedi or anything. He was already starting to get bored. And that's when he sees the motion from his Master telling him to rejoin them. He slides both of his lightsabers back to the clips that normally hold them to his body and makes his way over. As he does this he catches the tail end of their conversation saying that they should refrain from taking any action that would give them away until their primary objective is complete. Sure it's the most logical thing to do, but he's Sith. Logic isn't his strong point.

"Can't we just split up? Have all the Sith do what we enjoy the most and send all of the cannon fodder to take out the big guns? Or are you saying that the soldiers are too incompetent to get even that done?"

He scans the soldiers and agents coming out of the ship and realizes that they just might be the way the he just described. So with that in mind he looks back to the Chiss and says, "On second thought, that may be the best plan. Man is this going to be dull..." With that in mind he leans against the hull of the ship, still warm from the entry into the atmosphere, and looks at the others. He's a little curious to see what they can all do, but he's a bit more curious to see if his Master has the skill to do what she needs to do. Because should she ever falter and fail, he'll have to be there to catch her with his own lightsabers.

Cipher Five decided not to retort to Tydema's insults to the ability of the 'cannon fodder'. As long as the sith didn't make the mission more difficult than it had to be. So instead he says "I'm sure you will get your chance at excitement, my lord."

He led the group through the grassy plain towards the city. As they neared the first buildings on the outskirts, he unslung his rifle from his back and kept it at the ready. He took a moment to check his map, then looked in he direction it indicated the entrance of the complex to be, and mentally cursed. Nothing is ever simple is it?. The evacuation shuttles were between them and the entrance. That in of itself wouldn't be a problem, they could easily go around, but the Republic managed to set up a defensive barricade around the shuttles, and the entrance was inside the barricades. With a mental sigh, he turned and reported his observations to the sith behind him.

Myrazan lsitened as Cipher Five gave his update report. "A barricade huh? That might prove troublesome. It definitely suggests they might know we're already here. If that's the case, then they might have a small squad of people ready for our approach."
She faced Cipher.
"Let me and my apprentice take care of them. Use us as the distraction and slip inside to disable the field. We're more than qualified to handle whatever they got. We'll even bring some of the bounty hunters with us to make it seem like we're all that's here. That way, they won't even notice you two."

Myrazan nodded to her apprentice and gathered 5 of the bounty hunters. "Move swift Cipher." With that she drew her double-bladed saber and rushed the barricade, her apprentice and the bounty hunters behind her.
Glancing back at Tydema, she spoke quickly. "You're free to slaughter whoever, soldiers and jedi get priority though."

One moment the evacuation was proceeding smoothly, if a bit slow for Charis' tastes, and then, once the transmission announcing the sith's arrival had scarcely ended, everything turned into chaos. There would be little point in shouting orders at the evacuees now. Indeed, it was all Charis could do to keep herself from being crushed by the teeming throngs of people now rushing toward the shuttles. Gritting her teeth angrily, she began to run, being careful to dodge the scrambling civilians that nearly collided with her every few feet as they fled in a blind panic.

Damn sith, Charis cursed to herself. This was precisely what she despised about their kind: the way they manipulated people through fear and preyed upon the weak. With everyone now heading in the same direction, there would be no way they could resist the opportunity to descend upon a single target and begin slaughtering everyone in their path.

There was no hope for carrying out an orderly evacuation now, and with everyone flocking to the shuttles all at once things would most likely only be slowed down. Even worse, many people would probably be left behind or have to stay and cover the shuttles' retreat from the planet. Although everything inside her screamed at the thought of staying and facing certain death, Charis knew what she had to do.

Reminding herself she had been hired by the Republic to protect the innocent citizens of Sluis Van, Charis made her way to the barricade that had been formed around the shuttles. Ducking behind a low section in a wall, she slung her heavy blaster off from her shoulder and held it level in front of her. She peered over the wall's edge, scanning the fields in the distance for the glow of crimson lightsaber blades that would signal the sith's approach.

Let the bastards come, Charis thought. It's high time I let them know not everyone is afraid of scum like them.

Glancing across the way, she noticed a female twilek crouched behind another section of wall nearby. She wasn't a Republic soldier judging from the way she was dressed, and she didn't carry herself like she was a fellow mercenary. Still, she was there aiding in the defense with her blasters ready to burn a hole through sith armor. It brought a smirk to Charis' face to know there were still people willing to risk themselves for the sake of the Republic. Even though she was still certain they were all going to die horribly, it made her feel somewhat better knowing that she wasn't the only one crazy enough to put themselves out on the line to help the war effort.

Making her way quickly over to the twilek, Charis stayed low to the ground to avoid being seen by the sith who she could now see making their way toward the barricade. "So you got roped into helping this hopeless cause too?" she remarked sarcastically as she took up position on the other end of the wall from the twilek.

Kallius gave the Republic line of defense one longing look, his fingers twitching in his eagerness. He would have loved to have jumped into the fray, but the other two Sith had already claimed the honor. He sighed knowing that the majority of the slaughter would happen there. But, the true mission was beyond, and Myrazan had practically offered him and Cipher the true prize of the conflict, whether she knew it or not. He smiled a little at that and turned to the agent, assassin to be more exact, and spoke up," While I feel disappointed that they did not include me in the initial assault, I feel they may be right about acting as distractions. If they keep the majority of the enemy's attention we can sneak in and destroy the enemies defenses." He let a predatory chuckle escape his lips before continuing," Once we are finished inside the base we can sweep back out and hit whatever enemies are left from the rear."

He pointed at a nearby building that looked as if it had a wall connecting to the square behind the enemies hastily erected blockade," They have the alleyways covered, and we might be spotted on the streets." A quick glance at the force headed to attack the blockade was all he needed to estimate the time it would take to for them to gain victory. It likely wouldn't be long..." I suggest going through those buildings, I can cut us a path through the walls if need be. It would make less noise than trying to blast them, but might take a little more time." He shrugged," or I could smash through them with the force. Either option works for me." Though he was the lord here, this mission belonged to Cipher. Kallius was merely there for the muscle.

Cipher Five would have preferred it if Lord Kallius had gone with the other sith as he was used to working alone, and his stealth shield generator could have easily sneaked him past the barricade, but then again, there was no telling what awaited him inside the complex, so it wouldn't hurt to have some back up. He nodded as the sith explained his plan and looked at the building the sith lord pointed at. "An excellent plan, my lord," he said as he fiddled with a console on his wrist and pulled up a projection of the building's blueprint, courtesy of Imperial Intelligence, and shifted his arm so the sith could have a better view of the projection.

"It seems like the building is a residential building. If we go through this door," he said, pointing to a door on the projection, "we should end up in the main hallway. From there we can find a room with a wall that leads inside the barricade. However, we may also run into civilians who haven't finished packing yet." His mind flashed back to the time an old imperial couple refused to evacuate until they had packed all the holos of their family. The evacuation shuttles left them behind. Shaking himself out of his reverie, he glanced over at the sith to see the other man's response.

Nala noticed that one of the bounty hunters, one that seemed experienced, dashed to her position to reinforce the barricade. She was glad that she wouldn't be completely alone, though it was her job to defend the city. Nala was defending the city to serve her own personal interests. Either way, it didn't matter. Sluis Van was under attack and needed defending. More importantly, a pair of sith and their bounty hunters are beginning a march onto the city. This would be their stand.

She looked over to Charis. "Not really. I just think that the Sith are bad for business." She dared to take another peek and a Sith master and what she assumed to be her apprentice nearing the city. She quickly ducked back behind the cover. "Getting closer. You ready for this?" She steeled her senses and pulled out a concussion grenade. Nala popped out of cover, tossing the grenade in an arc toward the apprentice, Tydema, followed by a quick burst from her blasters. Hopefully the surprise of the grenade would catch them off-guard.

As panic moved through the bodies it drew back, expanding its projection, armored facsimiles joining its preferred whose arms had outstretched. Those in official garb began their calls, attempting to funnel the unrest toward the goal that was their escape. The mechanist's sensors still detected nothing, the call of their perimeter giving it some sense of what its associates were capable of monitoring. It still kept its attention skyward, the ability to bombard a planet from orbit having been carved fresh in its memory. That this was not their attackers' action something else must be in mind, this goal intriguing but pointless. To see more of these sitt though, the mechanist caught itself as its thoughts wavered and were nearly consumed. The other stirred within, eagerness to taste of this dimension causing it to shift and flex.

As the barricade was placed the mechanist had moved its projection to stand alone beyond, sensor plate turned out into the streets. Already forms had been seen, shapes rushing through empty pathways, arcs of energy clenched in eager fists. Behind, weapons were leveled, the teeming energy of fear, excitement, anger rising up in electric waves as the crowd continued their retreat and their protectors watched their back. An explosive marked the start, blaster fire lancing out from the blockade to seek out one of the shapes that approached.

Deep within the bowels of the under-keep of the complex, a powerful force laid hidden. He was draped in carbonite plating over his torso and arms, cloaked by his robes and a mask to hide his face from those that'd recognize him. Sitting on the edge of a rusted balcony watching a small patrol of republic guardsman scan the area for anything out of ordinary. There was barely any lighting. Noises were enhanced by the echoes of the open spacing; such as footsteps or the crack of a rifle bolt. It was a potential ambush point that Benn was intent on utilizing. He pulled his hood over his head, and cloaked himself into the shadows one with the force.

Using force speed he dashed himself into a corner just ahead of the patrol of four. When the first three came past, he jabbed his saber through the back of the rear guard, ripping his blade in a swift tug and fading into black. The remaining three fired where they last saw him and hit nothing. Benn reappeared in the center of them, leaping upwards and drawing his lightsaber staff, twisting it in a circular motion and dropping all three in a quick shot. He kept low on one knee looking back and forth in case of reinforcements waiting nearby. When he realized all was well, he deactivated his saber and placed it back on to his belt.

Using force grip he carried the bodies into a shaded end of the hall and hid them from prying eyes, moving forward with his stroll in the lower ends of the fortress. His mission was to ensure the Imperials had a sure fire entrance into the base, and they had one. Dameri could have continued on with objective and taken the whole base himself.. but that would lead to tiresome work he would not dirty his hands with.

Myrazan Zyr ran towards the barricade, the bounty hunters behind her already opening fire on the flimsy barricade. The guards there ducked behind what little cover they had, trying not to get shot.
She took advantage of the chaotic assault to rush forward and see a grenade chucked towards her apprentice. He can handle himself..and if he dies, then he's no sith.

Her red lightsaber blades shone brightly as they shot from both ends of the blade. She ran up and began cutting apart the barricade bit by bit..piece by piece. She would not relent, even after she heard the explosion of the grenade that was thrown at Tydema. She continued to dodge blaster fire as she struck at the lousy barricade again and again.
Soon as it fell, she would begin the slaughter.
