*A brief note to those who are avid star wars fans who want the timeline of this, this RP will follow Star Wars Cannon (Disney's tales), and will take place between the Star Wars movies Rogue One and A New Hope. This RP will also assume that Grand Admiral Thrawn survived the course of Star Wars Rebels, Rogue One, and A New Hope.*

It is during a time of great turmoil, and of great fear. THE GALACTIC EMPIRE has expended its forces across all of the known galaxy, with much resistance put up against them thanks to THE REBEL ALLIANCE. Such a forces causes the Empire to go to great lengths in order to secure their victory. THE 2ND ARMADA, a massive Imperial expeditionary force commandeered by GRAND ADMIRAL THRAWN, has been tasked to conquer the outer and mid rims, to conquer the unknown, and claim its riches for the Empire to behold. One such treasure found was the re-discovery of Ilum, and the unearthing of its many Kyber Crystals. Piloted by the overly ambitious and intelligent ADMIRAL PIKNERR, a secret Imperial plan, named PROJECT EDGE was drafted. Its purpose: to mass produce a new type of Imperial Super-Soldier, one that is capable of decimating entire armies by itself. Such a plan is stalled, however, as THE WILD RESISTANCE, a rebellious cell formed inside of Piknerr's space, has been busy sabotaging and thwarting the project's completion. The true struggle for control of PROJECT EDGE, however, is just getting started...

Hello! And welcome to Star Wars: Edges of War, or Edges of War: A Star Wars Story, take your pick ;)

Inspired by the recent stops Disney has pulled for Star Wars, this is a Sci-Fi, War-like RP that takes place on the very fringes of the Star Wars Galaxy (in the Star Wars Universe of course!!!) Located In a mixture of known and unknown space. Far from any sort of help from the Rebel Alliance or the Imperial Armada, as well as far from any sort of drama that A New Hope may think to bring, It is your job to either Aid The Imperials or The Wild Resistance in their causes to either create or destroy Project Edge...or you can just sit back and watch the fireworks with your bucket of popcorn, that works too!

Please read all of the rules, Imperial Fleet Statistics, The Wild Resistance/Rebel Fleet Statistics before working on your skelly, oh! and HAVE FUN!!!

~Rules~
1. Your GM for this RP is @Nue .
2. Your CO-GM(s) for this RP is @Raven
3. All Iwaku Rules apply
4. No sexy scenes in this RP (keep mature stuff in PMs)
5. Posting speed will be kept to Once a Week, If you do not meet with said posting speed requirements without a proper explanation, you will be labled as inactive, continue to do this from here, and you will eventually lose your characters.
6. Posting length is from 10 to 10000 words long, and must contain a sensible action (such as pulling a lever or sipping tea.)
7. Some Star Wars knowledge is required prior to joining this RP, these things are listed as follows:

*if you do not know even one of these things, it is suggested that you look it up briefly as you may be lost when the RP takes place*
8. Maximum of two characters per person
9. If a person wishes to play a major NPC (Admiral Piknerr, The Patriot, or Grand Admiral Thrawn), they may. However, one must keep in mind that all three of these characters are already well-made, and they must be very good at RPing these characters. If you feel like you are up to the task, PM @Nue and be a very active RPer, otherwise, Nue and Raven will RP Major NPC's
10. the # of independent characters must be lower than both the Imperials and The Rebels (I.E if rebels have three players and Imperials have 4, than there can only be 2 Independents), this is so the RP doesn't get stagnant, as people with no goals tend to not do much.
11. Keep in Mind of that THRAWN-O-METER!!!!!! As tipping it will have dramatic consequences for both the Imperials and The Resistance.
12. Don't get too attached, this is Star Wars! People die A LOT in those movies, and that will happen A LOT in this RP as well (ESPECIALLY when someone tips that Thrawn-O-Meter). If your character ends up dying...don't worry! You can always make another!
13. THE FORCE POLICY: At this point in time there are very, VERY few force-users in the galaxy, and I don't expect them to be all hanging out here in this odd part of wild space! As such, I will allow ONE force user per side (Independents get NO force users!) totaling to TWO force users in the RP at a time. In the event that a force user dies or becomes inactive, another may take its place, but no more than TWO force users in the RP at a time. I also expect these chosen force users to be well-versed in star wars lore, be very responsible with their force powers, and have a REAL GOOD reason/biography as to why such a force user is forced *kek* *kek* Into this situation right now.
14. This reminds me, no godmodding or meta-gaming
15. Unrealistic, God-like, and Stereotypical characters all have the right to be refused.
16. If you have read the rules, please put '122828' in your character skeleton right next to the 'Rule Check' area.

+Project Edge is Complete
+The Wild Resistance/Rebel Fleet has 0 Ships Remaining
+Thrawn-O-Meter is Successfully Supressed (Untipped) until the year 1 ABY (After the Battle of Yavin, this is in all honesty, two Star Wars Years since the star of this RP)
For Independent Victory:
+Eventually side with the victorious side

The Thrawn-O-Meter (or T.O.M, for short {I know, so cheesy, right?}), tracks the overall interest level of Grand Admiral Thrawn for this sector. As Thrawn is currently tasked with the problems of Wild Space and various other rebellion cells within his area of control, he believes that Admiral Piknerr is competent enough to handle this sector himself and as such does not need to be present to deal with the threat looming here. However, if it is found out that there is Imperial incompetency in the area, he will take swift and strategic action, and, if the threat is large enough, personally come in and wipe out both forces immediately.

In the beginning of the RP, Thrawn will seem to not exist, or seem as a myth, but as the RP progresses, Thrawn will become more and more of a looming threat to worry about, and both the Rebels and Imperials will have to make the right decisions in order to keep his interest down. To do this, the Imperials must appear to be competent enough to deal with rebel incursions, and keep the overall amount of rebel incursions to a minimum (I.E very few or very spaced out large-scale attacks). If this does not occur often, Thrawn's interest will rise, and actions by his command will be carried out to the sector. If T.O.M becomes tipped (when the bar reaches maximum level), Thrawn will personally enter the RP and deal with the problem himself, bringing with him an armada of Star Destroyers.

Status: Under Imperial Occupation
Planet Info: A Barren, frozen planet that used to be a major jedi ritual site. Containing a high amount of Kyber Crystals, It is now going under extensive mining and pollution from the Galactic Empire, damaging and ravaging the planet so harshly, it can even be seen from space. Imperial labor camps are common here and all captured dissenters of the Empire (in this sector) are found working here. Peruvian Station, a notable Imperial Station, orbits this planet.

Status: Under Imperial Occupation
Planet Info: A mainly temperate planet with massive plains and is 84% water, Planet Ankus is the homeworld of the Cragmoloids, which are currently enslaved to work for the empire. Most of the land is rural, with but a few cities sprawled about here and there. Ankus is used as an agricultural supporter for the Empire, particularly for this sector.

Status: Under Imperial Occupation
Planet Info: A small desert world, Rago is a melting pot of all sorts of races and species, who come here for the planet's unique spices. With the current occupation being under Imperial Control, it is now used as a source of pure water (surprisingly) and coveted spices for the Empire. This Planet also shows the most amount of Rebellious activity, as it's importance is small to The Empire and as such Imperial count on that planet is relatively low. This is believed to be the planet that birthed The Wild Resistance.

Status: Under Imperial Occupation
Planet Info: Io is but a giant, frozen wasteland. At first, Io was considered to be a useless planet, devoid of life and has an inhospitable atmosphere and climate. With fresh new information gathered just recently from the rebellion, it appears that this planet is the location of the lab that is working on Project Edge, and as such emerged a key planet in this sector.

Status: Under Imperial Occupation
Planet Info: Torval is a planet with two halves, One half is a temperate urban paridise, and serves as the living grounds for most Imperial Officials, while the other half is a magma-filled, massive industrial complex, fueled by Imperial Laborers. The Industrial Half of Torval is tasked with the mass-production of imperial hips, vehicles, weapons, and other various imperial items of interest. This is the current resting ground of The Grand Perfection, and is the most heavily-defended Imperial planet in this sector, and, Project Edge aside, Torval is the most important planet in this sector strategically.​

Serious has never made a joke in her life. Easily angered but most of the time appears to show no emotion. Hardly makes many conversations often quiet making whatever she has to say usually something to pay attention to.A great listener, loyal to the Dark Side.

Biography/History:
Zhevea's home village was not on Azruza like most of her kind. Bur rather her family lived in a small town Burnin Konn mining ores like most who lived there before the Galatic Civil war. She was very young when the Imperials came to this planet she doesn't remember much of what happened. Nor really how old she was other than being that of a small child perhaps not even more that 2 years old. She doesn't even recall the name from her parents. What Zhevea does know is that she grew up with the influence of the Empire. Her childhood not much of something worth sharing for there was not really any happy times. She was not sent to the camps like most of her race that had been captured. The reason was simple to in a way be the Imperials experiment to see if an Aruzan really couldn't be violent without the brain modifications.

Due to her races known nature emotion other than anger was very much frowned upon her revealing. This developed her seeming to have almost no emotion at all. As time passed she became rather good at keeping a focused and calm mind however when angered she learned how to use the emotion to strengthen her power in the force. They learned she often liked to test her mind and thoughts, she liked to read what material she was allowed. Zhevea was taught not to question anything of her master or the Empire. Which this took time but she eventually did. Her training also dealt with a lightsaber. Like most, she had to create her own originally the blade started as a purple saber. Soon this changed as her training became more intense and she grew deeper into the ways of the Dark Side.

Zhevea's thoughts on the Jedi is simple. They do not see the truth of what the dark side offers them. They misunderstand the true power of the force. She does not question the side she was raised into and is a proud Sith Apprentice hoping to one day surpass her master. Nothing will easily stop her from achieving her goal.

This Rp looks really cool, I'd really like the idea of game aspects! Statues and the able to die if you make the wrong choices, super cool

Before I post the characters, I'd like to ask if it still acceptable to have a maximum of two characters...and then if I could have two character?

I'm not very well versed in Star Wars lore, and my knowledge level is above average at best.

With that being said, I feel that the best side for me to be part of is the independent one since the other
sides have bigger roles.

Would this be an issue? I'm willing to look up stuff if need be.

It's okay, you can be an independent. And all the knowledge that you need to know about Star Wars is listed in the first post! So as long as you've briefly touched everything that I stated, you're perfectly fine in this Rp!

Vaal who had been assigned to gather information on Sith artifacts and places heavy with the dark side of the force, teaming up with Master Ma-Xle a well known Jedi Archivist and Master Telbakka a long lived Shadow, their missions often sent them undercover or on ancient Sith worlds where they had little to no contract with the Order for long periods of time. [BCOLOR=transparent]During the two year war, Vaal and his team would find themselves serving as spys and sabatours agains tthe speretist and often were used as spies to infultrate crimal organisations in order to use them agains tthe sepretist and on many occasions would infultrate the sepretist ranks to gather intellegence for the Jedi High Council on both Confederate movements as well as criminal activity throughout the gallaxy. Having his first active role as a General of CLone troopers nearly half way through the war, Vaal lead squads of troopers on the front lines for nearly six months before dissapearing back into the shadows of the Jedi order after rumours of the Sith presence began to grow. Travelling to Korabin and other Sith worlds in order to find information and relics related to their teachings and possibly their locations. It was during this time he was reunited with his ild friends Master Ma-Xle and Master Telbakka and once again would often fall out of communication with the rest of the Order. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent] Vaal was on assignment into the far rim worlds undercover when Order 66 was enacted, and without any contact with the Republic or the Jedi Order survived the Jedi Purge. Upon receiving word that the Jedi had been declared public enemy. Master Vaal went into hiding on the planet of Alderaan. While there he learned of a force of rebels who were brave enough to fight against the empire. Turning back to his old talents, Master Vaal sought out the leaders and upon seeking them out decided to join their rebellion.[/BCOLOR]

Often sending him to places where he had little to no contract with the order for long periods of time. Master Vaal was on assignment into the core worlds when Order 66 was enacted. Master Vaal and his unit had Upon receiving word that the Jedi had been declared public enemy. Master Vaal went into hiding on the planet of Alderaan. While there he learned of a force of rebels who were brave enough to fight against the empire. Turning back to his old talents, Master Vaal sought out the leaders and upon seeking them out decided to join their rebellion.[/BCOLOR]

Personality:
Kenny is very lighthearted individual, but can be very serious when it comes to the smuggling business. His line of work is illegal and requires him to be very strict when negotiating prices and such. Kenny is not necessarily obsessed with money, but he's willing to do most things for the right price, even if the task clashes with his set of morals. Kenny doesn't personally side with neither the rebellion or the empire, as he feels like their dispute doesn't have any effect on him. Even so, his morality tends to keep him leaning toward the rebel side.

Biography/History:

Kenny was born in one of the lowerlevels of Coruscant's underworld. His parents died when he was still very young; leaving him to fend for himself. He managed to make friends with kids in situations similar to his, and formed a small gang of sorts.

They named themselves "The Churis". As the years passed by, many members where lost. They either moved on to other things, or just stopped hanging out with the others for unknown reasons. Of course, there wasn't much to do in the underworld that wasn't illegal or sinister in nature to get by. Even so, Kenny refused to become a lowly street thug, and set himself on escaping poverty.

He was able to sneak onto a ship that was docked in his level. Whatever the owners of the ship were doing in a slum that was ridden by crime probably wasn't good, but Kenny couldn't have cared less; he wanted to get out. It turns out, he'd stowed away on a ship smuggling black market weapons.

Before he knew it, he found himself in a black market hub on a planet neighboring Coruscant. Kenny gathered knowledge, began to socialize, got his hands on weapons, and was eventually able to build up the funds for his own ship. Even though he didn't know too much about the vast void that is space, Kenny set out in search of riches and adventure as a smuggler.
