"This isn't right... I'm gonna go look for them," he murmured, frowning before standing up and walking towards the exit of the mess hall.

"Where do you think your going?" A guard roared, raising his hand like he did before when he slapped Nora, but before it could reach the boy, his arm limply dropped onto the ground with a sickening thud. A thin, dark tendril of blood had easily sliced it off, so fast it was gone before people even knew that it was there. This entire hall could become a slaughter house in seconds, considering how his blood was everywhere on the ground and everyone was completely oblivious to it. It scared him how comfortable he was using his powers now, when just hours ago he was crying about his mother and unable to defend himself.

"Excuse me." He walked past as if nothing happened, and left the hall to look for the other two.

Under the cover of darkness, Rosa watched with horror as a new guard ran past where they were hiding. She let out a short sigh of relief then grabbed Irene and crept behind the guard up the stairs.

The light of the mess hall was nearly blinding, and the little kids following the kitchen girl reminded Rosa too much of the thing with Maria's head that had been hidden in the basement. As Rosa walked across the hall, she couldn't see the skinny newbie anywhere but noticed a girl who was glaring at them. What the hell? Rosa couldn't recall messing with her in recent memory.

The one-eyed girl continued to walk to her room. As she passed the guards, she avoided eye contact at all costs. The only reason she would ever return to that basement would be to free the things in those cages. By killing them.

Nora went down to the basement again, from the route that those two other girls had taken previously. A couple of guards tried to stop him, but he just sliced off whichever part of them that got too near to him.

"Excuse me..." He mumbled as he went, preparing himself for the horror that awaits. His eyes teared up again just as he remembered the two kids, the scent of their blood and the feeling of their cold, dead body still fresh in his mind. At first he thought the basement looked the same, until he looked at the cells, hoping he wouldn't find the corpse of the one eyed girl and her empath friend. He noticed that the bodies were far back, and not squished against the bars and drained of blood, so this was a different part of the basement that he had yet went to.

"What... is that?" He also noticed that they looked a lot less... human.

Nichole's jaw dropped as she saw the guard's arm get sliced off. She quickly ushered the children to their rooms and sighed going to clean up the mess Nora made.

Nichole hoped he would be ok. She choked the rest of the life from the guard and dragged the body off. Nichole dug a hole and dumped him before covering it back up. Then started to scrub the hardwood floor.

Humming a morbid little tune under her breath, Irene headed into the kitchen to swipe some food. As she was about to leave she heard voices talking on the other side of the door.

"This will not do! Guards getting attacked? I will not have it in my orphanage!" the matron screeched, "Call in Sasha, and tell him to return immediately! I have a job for him,"

Shit. Irene's eyes widened. Calling in Aleksandr, whom the matron endearingly called Sasha, was bad news. The head guard was someone not to be messed with. He used to be one of the kids at St. Eleanor's with the strongest powers they had seen in the last decade. His own powers negating those of others in a 100m radius, more than enough to cover the whole orphanage. It didn't help that he was freakishly strong either; the kids whispered that he was the first to survive Ellie's genetic experiments. Something bad was going to happen, she could feel it.

Slipping out through the door that let into the mess hall, Irene saw the cook scrubbing the floor. The ice girl, yes, she would probably be the first to go. While it seemed as if the guards at Ellies were weak, those that had been here for years knew that they weren't the real threat. No, the real threat was the matron, and the people she could call in at a moments notice.

Irene headed up the stairs to the room everyone 16 and above shared, the space was cramped but at least they each had a curtain that provided some semblance of privicy. She threw the apple she had snagged at Rosa.

"Hey," she leaned in to whisper beside Rosa's ear, "Sasha's coming back,"

Leigh watched as Nora used his powers to slice a guards arm off and she had to do everything in her power not to laugh as the guy bled to death. A small smirk played upon her lips as she heard more screams from guards and she was about to leave when she spotted Rosa and Irene walk by. Sending a glare at the Cyclops, she decided to go after Nora to see what damage he could do and also to tell him that there is no reason for him to worry about the duo being captured.

'I had hoped they were captured and killed. Stupid broads and useless guards.' She thought, kicking a body out of her way and following the trail Nora left behind.

Nichole finished and sighed looking around. She smirked slightly and opened a small passage in the kitchen. Nichole crawled into the hole and covered it back up before crawling out into the garden. She smiled softly and went to a box.

"Hey Kai,I got you some food boy. Don't worry I'll take you in with me tonight like always ok? Just don't make so much noise." Nichole said feeding the tiny pup before giving him water. She picked him and the box up shushing him as she crawled back up the hole. Nichole covered the hole and crept upstairs shushing Kai a few times. Once she made it into the room she laid in her bed with the pup curling up with him so he could be warm.

The bodies of the experiment subjects slammed against their cell bars again, just like the dead kids did in the previous basement. Tendrils of blood flowed towards Nora, who sat curled up at the very end of the halls of cells. He let out a painful cry that resonated in the basement, and the blood responded by moving more erratically than how they did before. Instead of having it pooling gracefully at his feet, clean and neat, now the blood swirled around him, forming spikes that pierced the roof and the cells.

Around Nora was a bunch of tiny, humanoid like babies. Their bodies contorted in bizzare ways and he watched, eyes wide with horror, as they writhed and crawled towards him. Thousands of questions flashed through his mind, and he began to shake. Was this what they were gonna do to them? How long have they been doing this? How many kids have died here? What are they doing? This wasn't an orphanage-- this was an illegal human experimentation lab and a prison.

Did mother knew this when she decided to send him here?

"L-Leigh..." he sobbed and panted, turning away from the mutated children to look at her. His lungs burned, and he couldn't breath. Fear was overwhelming him, but at the same time he seethed with fury. Eyes wild as the blood finished draining and covered him completely. Bodies of the dead guards flung towards him, not having anything to hold them back and adding in to the pile of blood and guts that was forming.

Nora was going out of control, like he did when his mother was killed. Except now he was a lot older, and his power was at a much greater level than it once was.

Leigh watched in horror as the... creatures made their way over to Nora and had to hold herself back from hacking up her intestines. Slowly making her way over to Nora to comfort him, she tried desperately to find words that would give him some sort of comfort. She wouldn't admit it to anyone who asked, but since the scrawny boy came to Ellies, she had grown to care for him more than she had cared for anyone before in her life.

'This hell shouldn't even be allowed to exist. I doubt the government even knows what is going on here anymore.' She thought to herself before doubling over and kneeling on the basement floor. It felt as though her blood was trying to seep through her body and she knew it was Nora's powers starting to take over. Looking up, she saw that the look on the boys face was different; fierce, blood thirsty, dangerous.

A small, unrecognizable noise escaped her throat and she feared that she may end up getting killed by someone she considers a friend. Leigh waited with bated breath to see if Nora would do or say anything to show he had some control over his powers.

Irene sat on the edge of her bed swinging her legs back and forth, thinking about what had happened in the basement. Then she realized she hadn't seen Nora since then. She wondered what her new interesting toy was doing?

"Where could he be?" She wondered out loud.

Then there was a muffled scream, "Did you guys hear that?" One of the kids, called out.

Nichole sat up and kai whined barking a little. She quickly shushed him and held him close."everyone stay here I'll go check it out." Nichole said and hid little Kai once more.

She put on her shoes and walked out holding her necklace tightly. Nichole gulped and bit her cheek going along the walls to avoid any guards that might be lurking. She let out a breath and looked at the basement stairs. They looked much darker..more fragile, deadly even. Nichole swallowed and carefully walked down the old steps.

He stared at the girl, his features softening for a moment and he walked over to her. The blood tendrils were still whipping around and hitting against the walls, but they seemingly avoided Leigh out of p, and he made sure she was not touching it. Who knows what was in the blood? He wouldn't want her to get sick.

"Leigh... Get out," he murmured, looking so tired and worn for a moment before the mountain of blood mixed with bits and pieces of what was once living humans began to grow, pushing Nora, who limply slumped forward, up to the top of the tower. Then his eyes glowed maliciously, and a bizzare, forced grin stretches across his face. "Make sure everyone... stays away from the mess hall..."

He dissapeared into the tower, and it propeled itself out of the basement. Passing by Nichole as it did so, and once again made sure that not a single drop of the dirty blood touch her.

Leigh kneeled there, frozen for what felt like forever but was only a few moments before she got up and followed after Nora, scared for the first time in her life. Not for herself or for most of the other orphans but for Nora himself. She knew that, that much power in a person will take it's toll on the user and she wanted to be there when the smoke settled so that she would be able to get him out of there when she saw her chance. It was easy to follow the lanky boy, all one needed to do was follow the trail of gore being left behind. She ordered any of the smaller kids still out to find a place to hide or to go seek out Nichole. She knew the ice user was notorious for hiding anything and anyone in her room. Last time she was there, she snooped a bit when Nichole stepped out for a bit and found 6 candy bars shoved into various places in her room and not to mention when she needed to hide from the guards, Nichole stashed her under her bed for several hours until it was safe for her to roam about again.

Making a sharp turn, Leigh saw that Nora had already disappeared into the mess hall and screams could be heard. "Oh hell in a hand basket! He got here before me!" She cursed herself and ran in to see the carnage he was making of the guards. Seeing some scattered orphans, she used her powers to slice at a wall to gain their attention. "All orphans who wish to live, get out of here and find somewhere to hide! This is an order!"

Leigh didn't need to repeat herself, as a bunch of orphans ran out, not wanting to be caught up I the blood shed that was happening to the guards in the mess hall.

Nichole took the orphans upstairs with her quickly and bit her cheek. She told them to hide with Kai in her room an keep quiet. Nichole them walked out of the room and covered the room in thick ice for safety measures.

"Sigh ok let's go see the damage..and hope the hag doesn't get there first." She said to herself running down the stairs."Nora?! Leigh?!" Nichole called as she reached the last step. She was worried. Nichole looked at a guard that lay on the floor at her feet, his head was gone. And his body was all shriveled like a raisin."ok ew." She said stepping over him and carefully peeked over the corner.

At the mention of Sasha, Rosa bolted out of bed and grabbed the three kitchen knives she hid under her mattress. There were screams coming from the mess hall and Irene had mentioned something about Nora missing. Shit shit shit.

Rosa ran down to the mess hall and pushed through the mob of kids running away. There weren't as many older people because Ellie's shitty treatment didn't exactly help children grow and prosper.

The scene the greeted Rosa's eye nearly made her throw up. There were... tendrils of blood surrounding the skinny kid and were moving almost like additional limbs. Shit. That was his power? How the hell was she still alive?

And then there was Sasha. He had a familiar grin on his face and a bloodthirsty gleam in his eyes. There were more scars on him than when Rosa had seen him last and she could already feel her powers being stifled. So Rosa did what most people would do.

She began to sing at the top of her lungs and run toward the guard with her knives at the ready.

Leigh noticed the cyclops enter and charge at some of the guards with kitchen knives. 'What is she thinking? Knives against guards? Guess her powers are useless against them, then.' Leigh thought as she was still helping kids get out of the mess hall.

Following the rush of kids trying to run for their lives, Irene found herself at the source of the panic, the mess hall. Staring at the tower of bloody human bits and at Nora standing on top, she crinkled her nose and slightly smiled. This boy was interesting after all.

Grabbing the nearest weapon, a bloody knife that was on the ground, she joined the chaotic fight. Luckily she was just in time to yank the back of Rosa's shirt, to stop her from charging to her death at the hands of Aleksandr. "Don't be suicidal," She didn't have time to ponder at how the guard had managed to get here so fast, as she felt the full force of his powers coming into play. The feeling of her powers being suppressed unnerved her, and she heard the alarmed cries of other orphans realizing their powers were useless.

No matter, her powers weren't combat orientated anyways, and she didn't need them to to rip the matron to shreds. She stalked around the edges of the battle searching for the familiar head of grey hair. Irene had no doubts that the matron was here, watching with her beady eyes.

Nichole bit her lip and made her way out into the mess hall. She made sure all the other orphans were safe then looked out and gasped seeing Sasha."shit." Nichole whispered gripping her shirt.

She glared at the matron of the hell hole and backed up some to see exactly where Nora was. Nichole quickly dodged some of the blood and jumped onto the table."Nora! Calm down! Please calm down!" She called out to him running down the table towards him. As she ran water swirled around her before covering her. Her hair floated up as she made it as close as she could to her new friend.

Nichole took a deep breath and held out her hand a strong spray of water blasting a tendril back.'ok how do I get close enough and calm him down?' She thought.

"Nora!" Leigh yelled as she started making her way to the bloody mass. She, like Nichole, jumped on to a table and started to make her way over to the boy. Dodging tendrils and guards alike, she ran to the mass. On her way, thought, she felt as though her powers were slowly being suppressed and, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Sasha. Cursing under her breath, she ran faster to get to her friend and get him out of there as fast as she could.

Eyes locked on her target, Irene pounced onto the matron's back aiming the knife at the back of her neck. The old lady twisted out of the way and the knife only lodged into her shoulder. The crone screeched in fury as they struggled, slapping and clawing at the younger girl. Irene yanked the knife out of the soft flesh, grabbed a fist full of grey hair and yanked the matrons head back, slitting her throat from ear to ear. The hot blood sprayed onto her face, and she grinned as the matron collapsed, each weakening beat of her heart forcing more and more blood out.

Finally. The matron had annoyed her, and now Irene finally had the chance to kill her. The whole orphanage was going to shit thanks to Nora and she would have had to leave either way. Honestly, Irene and a lot of the other kids in the orphanage could have left anytime they wanted, but they didn't. Life in the orphanage wasn't good, but it was convenient for her. Irene knew when to stay quiet, who to avoid, and how to act to get what she wanted. That didn't mean she had never thought about leaving before.

Now, to check up on Nora, the interesting skinny boy that had forced her to make a choice betweening staying, or leaving.
