Whilst it is true that I am almost always 'available', mental health and life are getting in the way. I absolutely adore back and forth sessions where I can see the person typing. However, I notice that lately I need more time. Either I don't have the energy, I am having a bad moment or I need more time to think about how to reply. My schedule is quite inconsistent. My weekends are irregular as well. I hope you lovely people understand. I will always try to communicate and stay messaging! And I'm doing my best. Seriously, sometimes I'm just sitting there doing other things, going "Still gotta respond, still gotta respond, still gotta-'' whilst often also thinking about how to respond! Malika
Interest: Need to get interested, looking
Genre: Scifi, angst, action, found family
TW: Suicidal ideation, mental health struggles, experimentation (on a child), violence

AD_4nXeHdpHAPRK0er6EpnDsPAWMlQJDaVnFiI5eTsNkD0EhMenVYpCFUcorYXaoPU08cS6Q2Y9llJInnpzQpy4BLzKOnblc7rKHbDA0WoKzEKSLXg1f4FHTAHS3U25OWofII_QtufCuslQDY0PTrHZF2GUFpqs

Malika is 14 physically and mentally. They'll never age or die of natural causes. Malika is nonbinary and uses they/them/she pronouns.
They have thick, curly and wavy hair with different tints and hues of red and orange with very pale skin. Their height stands at around 140CM and they have very reflective eyes, either in the colour of light grey or a digital blue hue. They are extremely fit and usually wear practical, sturdy clothing with lots of space to store stuff in.

Malika is not a normal person. They were created by three people; Melvin, Dr. Grant and his assistant Adam. This is why they do not die or age. Malika was then taken in and under the wing by Dr. Grant for a while. Melvin did not like this at all, accusing the former of 'ruining' them. His intentions for Malika were very different from Grant's.
Eventually, a confrontation made everything go wrong and Malika was forced to stand on their own two legs and become stronger. To face and confront the ugly and negative of this world.

Before these events, Malika was a cheery person, always seeing the wonder and good in the world and people. They still find little miracles, but their demeanour has changed. They are struggling mentally and have calmed down a lot. Their excitement has died down and instead they struggle, but keep on fighting despite all the weight on their shoulders. They are ambiverted.

Malika is very good with anything to do with tech. They made their own weapon and mask, and even Alex, their AI companion. Alex is coolheaded, and the singularity of AI, being self sentient. They are very loyal to Malika and care a great lot about them. They enjoy talking to people. Just like Malika, they are nonbinary and use they/them/she.

Malika does have powers due to their origins, but these are very adaptable to the plot and what they need to have. A few core powers however, include a digital mind. They are able to interface with tech and communicate technically, have an 'interface' in front of their eyes, and so on.
They also have an enhanced body built for combat and endurance. They are strong and durable.
Alex is embedded within their mind, so they are always with Malika. They are able to 'upgrade' and 'enhance' Malika with abilities relevant to the plot.
Malika does not need to sleep, eat, etc, take care of themself.

There are drawbacks to having such powers and it does NOT make them invulnerable. In fact, losing and struggling, suffering is a KEY part of their character, they are a fighter. An example of such drawbacks;
Their mind is extremely vulnerable to 'hacking' and mind control. It is also fragile, to the point where they suffer mentally from it.
They don't HAVE to take care of themself, but if they don't, they will feel it. Big time. They will get hungry, they will get tired, they will suffer.

YC works at a facility. The job is secretive and mysterious, and the boss, Melvin, leaves a lot to be desired. He's rude, manipulative, rude, and doesn't treat his employees well at all. Most people probably stay for the pay or because they're just as bad as him.
Despite the facility promising new tech and breakthroughs, it is sad and desolate. YC spends most of their day underground under LED light. Nothing ever happens.

Until one day. There is a huge commotion and YC just happens to be in the vicinity or maybe showed up, who knows. Either way, they witness a brancard being rolled in. On it is a barely conscious kid surrounded by dozens of guards and a handful of scientists and doctors, all shouting.

YC gets close enough to this kid that they can grab onto them and whisper one last thing; 'help', before passing out. They are wheeled away, YC gets no information until later, Melvin himself personally approaches them. They are assigned to this kid's case. Melvin wants to know everything about them. This means that YC will have to run tests on the kid. And Melvin wants results.

So YC goes to where the kid is kept, having learned their name is Malika. Malika is still unconscious when they go in, and the 'room' looks suspiciously like a cage. They still get no info other than their name and age. When Malika wakes up, their first reaction is to attack YC. After an initial stressful moment, they manage to calm Malika down and they talk a little.
Malika does not remember anything. They don't remember how they got here, who they are, what happened, whatsoever.

Melvin is not patient with YC at all, and expects results. But the truth is, who aside from him would be comfortable experimenting on a child? Sure, some simple tests like testing accuracy and speed with tennis ball throwing, okay, alright. But stalling isn't going to work forever. Melvin wants results.
He doesn't want to share anything with YC, so YC might have to go looking on their own to get answers…

If they do, and it's pretty critical to the plot that they do, they'll find more and more mysteries in the underground facility and about Malika. Maybe even a friend… Melvin gets more and more impatient, and stalling is getting more and more difficult. In the meanwhile, Malika and YC grow closer. They start to care for one another.

Will they ever get out and escape the facility together? If so, how? And what will they do afterwards?

Nephila
Interest: Never used in roleplay before, could try, but currently not looking
TW: Spiders
Genre: Fantasy, found family

AD_4nXeyUZJwBwBiddC3mwxd18xBoad5GSBePgMG3F7D8-wlhatnEU1zKC8tpktdSSbch2LkAb0cJa6ST2yoAhc7nQ0mo-4-fDmv4rJjf76lDDAdVXVJ0Bt8iKcrHW0TYxBas4V9aGRdE_TZZycxDzqy1HvAJ-Rt

When Nephila was a child, she fell into a spider web. Instead of seeing them as prey, this huge spider species had question marks about them. In the end, they took Nephila in and started to care for her. Nephila adapted, but due to that care they are no longer fully human.

Nephila's skin has gotten a grey tint. Their eyes have lightened up into a grey-white, and her hair has turned white and very thin, like silk. They stand around 155CM tall. Nephila has great agility and speed, but her strength is lacking. They have great senses as well, just like spiders do. When they became older, they were stung in the palms of their hands and granted powers. This still shows today in scars in their hands that can open up to eject stingers. From it, they can also create various silks and venoms.

Generally, Nephila is a very lax person. They don't concern herself with a lot, if at all. Instead, she enjoys messing around, having fun. Hanging upside down from a tree branch. Scaring the bejeebers out of you, half by accident and then finding your reaction funny so continuing to do it. They bring a child-like sense of freedom with them, not bothering to trouble themself with much. But despite that, they care very deeply about the spiders and have a deep bond with any spider. They will do whatever it takes to protect them. And she also cares deeply for any other family she can find along the way, doing all they can to protect those as well. Human or otherwise.

YC gets a bounty. Perhaps they need money, or they're in the business, or desperate for something else. Either way, they have their reasons. The bounty is simple; they get a vial of a strange, shimmery liquid and have to attend a feast with it. Once there, they are instructed to inject it into one of the guests. But not just any. They will get the sign of which guest and when.

So, YC attends the feast. There's a child there that tries not to draw attention to themself, but attention is drawn to them. They have white hair and pale skin, don't say anything and keep a low profile. The holder of the feast brags about them a little. Apparently, they saved her from a dangerous situation and brought them in. Something like that.

The feast passes and there's been no sign yet to inject anyone. Until YC brushes past the child… and gets the sign. There's not a lot of time to consider that this is just a child, so all doubts aside, YC barely makes the injection in time. The child does feel the sting and looks at them oddly with a frown, but brushes it off.

The next part of the assignment is to sneak into this child's room and take them to the bounty giver. But YC is not prepared for what they see next… The girl is laying in their bed, feverish, weak and sick, only semi-conscious. Her skin has gotten a grey tint. Her eyes have turned an even lighter grey. Their hair seems more like silk now and in each of her palms, a scar has appeared.
They're not scared or upset at YC, however. No, instead they look up and give them a small smile. Perhaps manage to utter a 'thank you'.

Now, the plot does require YC to not be able to do anything further than this. Instead of taking them to the bounty giver, YC takes the child with them. Either home, or on the run, maybe they have a family, maybe they don't.

But now they have a very complicated few problems. First, this child seems to absolutely have a super strong bond with spiders. They seem to have a couple of odd, spider related powers as well. And finally, there's people and spiders after them. After all, YC has taken 'something' from the feast host, not completed their bounty from whoever was after the kid, and the spiders still lost their young.

Mallory
Interest: Could probably get interested, not currently looking
TW: Violence, child abuse, snake, mental health struggle, trauma
Genre: Fantasy, adventure, found family, angst

AD_4nXeOxIE7e2puTZyv3izuz_5uhUul6JY6dwzldz3x-uXjR4qwuVGU8YrUlOctcBR3q9HAnB6YnLel9QmX8xPYb0zAUCsv5JZ6QbOTMD1S31Ng_Wto54fNAYBtK78zafMRi-s651mV7cTrD9DaGqEuBle33UWa

Mallory is 6-11 and/or 12-17 throughout the story. She has bright, deep green eyes, pale skin (possibly porcelain if my searches are correct) and blonde hair past the shoulders. She stands at around 150CM tall. She is quite fit due to walking pretty much everywhere she goes.
Mallory always wears a black cloak with the hood up, hiding her face. Under that, she wears dark clothing. She also carries a wooden, gnarled staff with a green gem curled in the top, floating there with fractions orbiting it and always has a basket with her.

The story starts at an orphanage where the kids were treated as way less than. The caretakers are creepy and the children behave oddly the longer they get there; except Mallory. She is stuck in survival mode, trying to get through day by day. Every day, until adventurers show up and slowly figure out the orphanage's mysteries. They manage to take Mallory with them, and take her under their wing.

Six years later, Mallory has grown into her own person, blooming and thriving outside of the orphanage. It and the children left behind never leave her mind. She has discovered her powers as a nature mage and a healer, and later as a seer. Her cloak makes her feel comfortable and she is the healer and rogue for the party that took her in.

Sadly, not every story has a happy ending. Even later in the story, she can be found wandering alone, seeking help as a healer. They are often underappreciated in a party from what I can figure, so Mallory's just barely scraping by in finding parties that will take her.

Mallory is a kind and gentle character at heart. She's always willing to lend a helping - or healing - hand, whatever you need. She's been through a lot, which can make Mallory rather mature and observant for her age (which she doesn't know due to being an orphan, making it flexible for the story) and usually she keeps a cool mind. It takes a bit to get Mallory to her breaking point, but not that much… Despite being so gentle, she has quite the sharp attitude.

YC (1 or multiple) find an orphanage and decide to take a rest there. Maybe they are hurt, or just need a typical adventurer rest. Immediately when they are let in, the caretakers are very creepy cloaked figures that hiss, and rarely if ever talk. The children act weird. There is no laughter, no running, no noises that would typically be in a place with lots of children. The place looks desolate.

There is one girl, however, that does not act as odd as the others. She seems to be scared and stuck in survival mode. YC find(s) out that her name is Madelaine. She's the one to -semi-secretly- show them around and teach them how to survive.
For instance, whatever you do, don't eat or drink ANYTHING before she's cleared it. After dinner, they are to immediately run upstairs, find a room with a lock, make sure it's empty and lock it. Whatever happens, no matter what, do NOT open the door for ANYONE.

It's clear that strange things are happening here, and YC, being the adventurer(s) they are, dive deep into the Orphanage's mysteries. Not much can be gathered from Madelaine herself. She seems scared and not so eager to speak. But they do learn a lot from her in a way, like the food and the locked doors.

They will need to convince Madelaine to help and get to the bottom of this. In doing so, Madelaine slowly gets a little closer to them. She tries to keep them safe. It's hard to convince her to help, but she knows the orphanage and, as it turns out, is a very sneaky person. With her help in sneaking around, and their expertise as (an) adventurer(s) they will find out the source of it all. But it isn't going to be easy, nor safe, for both them and Madelaine.

In the end, they take Madelaine with them when they leave on a daring escape out of the orphanage. Outside of it, she has some trouble adjusting. Her name changes to Mallory, she gets a cloak and discovers her powers as a nature mage and healer. She becomes the backup for the adventurer/party and together, they will have many adventures yet.

YC (1 or multiple) comes across Mallory out in the world. She seems like a happy girl, always eager to help out. Sadly, since she cannot fight, she can be pretty underestimated and underappreciated. She's trying to find a party, but for some reason none of them she sticks with.
YC and Mallory meet and they get to talking. Maybe your character is hanging out in the place she's in for a while, staying there. Maybe that's a particularly troubled village, or town and they're helping out. No matter the case, they get to spend time together, to know each other.

Mallory is pretty closed off about her past, but open about everything from recent times, like that time she had to heal a magic injury because a mage's experiment failed, or the time she had to pick flowers but the flowers were alive… Anything about her past, though, and she closes off.
The more time they spend together, of course, the more time YC and Mallory get to know each other and eventually they get to try out an adventure together. Whether they were paired up by some guild, YC asked her to come along or Mallory came on her own. Whether they go to take on some bandits, a dungeon, a delivery.

It seems that YC and Mallory work together pretty well, or at least whatever this quest was went well. Maybe they get paired up a few more times, but Mallory still doesn't open up about her past at all. Nor why she is all alone.
The point of this plot is to, in whatever way, they get closer and eventually she joins up with YC. Mallory is a good backup; her abilities as a healer keep YC going, her ability as a rogue with help of her cloak makes it so she can take care of any sneaky business YC need(s) and her abilities as a seer can give them information or warnings. She's purely backup, however. All the epic fighting will have to be left to YC.

The goal of the plot is to get the party to grow close to one another. Mallory will open up in time and as a party does, they can find comfort and solace in one another, trust in one another to have their back. And in doing so, they can find many adventures yet, together!

YC (1 or multiple) are minding their own business wandering around when all of a sudden they come across a mysterious person. They were a cloak to hide their face, they whisper to themself and mutter incomprehensibly. They carry a candle in front of them that burns brightly, yet never gets shorter.
Their mutterings include things like 'all my fault', 'why', 'shouldn't/should have', 'done better', stuff like that.

They soon find out it's a young girl, and she is not making any sense. Her eyes are washed out grey, her hair looks a faded out, washed blonde and she's pale as chalk. The only answer to any of YC's question is that she was unable to heal… someone. They can't get any more out of her than that.

Deciding to help, YC take her in and try/tries their best to get her to eat a little, to calm down. She does, a little. But she's still not making much sense. All she carries is that candle. And it still never goes out or burns shorter.

After a while, she's still obviously incredibly shaken up, but she starts to make more sense. YC find(s) out that her name is Mallory. That she couldn't heal someone. After some more prying, YC find(s) out that it's her previous party. After even more patience and conversation, they also find out that she's been with said party for a very long time, especially for a child.
They can't just exactly leave Mallory out here, especially in a state like this, so they decide she's sticking with them.

At first, Mallory stays like that. She doesn't speak a lot, if at all. YC even go(es) back to where she said she came from, to get her stuff. But even it gives her no comfort. She clutches on to it anyways, though. Mallory, despite being very silent, does her duties as their new healer, but she keeps any visions she has to herself, for now. She heals, she helps as a rogue, she does her part as the backup. And the longer she does, the more she will open up and heal, slowly. The candle will burn a little less bright overtime.
Again, all the epic fighting stuff is left to YC, Mallory is just here as the healer/rogue/backup. In this plot, I hope to do a fair bit of angst and closeness!

Raine
Interest: Need it :') (VERY much looking)
Inspiration: Blades Of Light And Shadow
Credits: All credits of the images go to Pixelberry's Choices!
Trigger Warnings: Mental Health Struggle, Violence, Trauma
Genres: Fantasy, Action, Found Family, Angst

A comfy outfit worn when Raine is not out and about or doing anything important. Or when she's injured/sick and recovering.
AD_4nXdCuDkU8g-R5w3zQlCiaY-pqRcHlJMsgg9HD366FWB15FRxXauC7UpiJuQXjyzXz5sT-ds1PwIh0OdprI55udDDXqK1mhG_gX09J5-Wuz18nYyI8f0L5BKfcpZWobD7g8vKKF575AXOAIUDwWlp9pe6D7Cw

Raine's favourite outfit, both because her brother gifted it to her and because she just likes it that much. This is her most worn outfit as well, and usually worn when she's out and about or just about doing anything at all.
AD_4nXc5_NdzFn7wDOkRcNLJ_-OZlQDHPi4dEQ25gRv0ZwyWOA6-NKaBWzMxhrkb4VYzK9_C0XtxR6RpZfgVxPrCs95TkPF6_Yqv7jVd9Inuv09KPa6XvD9iJ27WbgAWxriqbgTEJGE3PVS6yVfFQix9N_WnriE8

Raine's most formal outfit, tailored luxuriously to her. It was expensive, but it paid off as now Raine has an outfit to wear to occasions where she needs to look formal or well presentable. It is the outfit she keeps the most clean and non-worn out for when she needs it. The satchel, belt and arm wraps, however, are often worn with her 'Stylish Start' outfit.

Raine's least worn outfit. Only worn when she needs a disguise, to lay down low or needs to look intimidating. The arm wraps, though, again, are worn with the Stylish Start outfit.

Age: 16

Looks: Raine is a slightly smaller than average girl with very dark brown curls and eyes and tanned skin. She usually wears clothing she can move around in easily and that is comfortable, yet stylish. Her hair goes down slightly past her shoulders and appears almost black.

Personality: Raine is a friendly girl overall, though she can be a bit distant at first. Despite that, she is always open about herself and her life. She can take some time to get to know and trust you, but after that she becomes even more friendly and lighthearted. Raine does anything to care for and protect those that she loves, her care goes deep, and that can include YC. And it already includes Beasts, so she will get VERY upset at anything you do to hurt them, and their habitat. Despite putting on a strong face and attitude, Raine can hold quite some pain buried deep down. But she won't show that to anyone.

Backstory: Being an orphan, Raine never really had a home. But she stuck near one village, getting very close quickly with a kid there; Kade. Tragedy sadly soon befell the village, leaving him the only survivor. They set out together after that, wandering around and surviving. Despite Raine's affinity to Beasts and Woodslore, and Kade's charming silver tongue and deception, it made it was far from easy. Along the way, they started to call each other exactly what they were; brother and sister.
As they got older, they started to pick up uneven jobs and gigs. Raine took a more labourer route, whilst Kade focused on his skills in music and totally not tall tales. But really, they strived to become adventurers together, side by side. When the opportunity finally came for them, they grabbed it. Only for in their very first adventure, Kade to be taken away from her. Now left alone, Raine was forced to become what they both wanted to become by herself, without her brother by her side, all to get her brother back.

Affinity: Beastmaster - Raine has always had a natural bond with Beasts that goes above the natural. They favour her, and she's really very quite good with them. She knows a LOT about them as well, having learned and studied them as long as she can remember. Raine's Affinity allows her to get along with Beasts quite well. Raine can even imitate their sounds to such a degree that it's like she's talking with them. Of course, she's not. Even she can't do that. It comes in handy in a variety of situations; getting a Beast to peacefully back off, causing a distraction with a harmless stampede or by imitating a dangerous Beast… you name it, she's got it. Aside from that, Raine also has a deep rooted love for the Beasts.

Strong Skill: Woodslore - Years of being in the woods, roughing it out with Kade, and her Affinity for Beasts have taught Raine how to feel at home in the woods and be one with nature. She's extremely good at roughing it out; setting up a camp, foraging for food and plants/herbs, scouting, and even more.

Secondary Skills: Combat/Blades - Raine isn't as good as combat as she could be or should be. She does, however, have a natural skill with blades. This is also her weapon of choice. She can certainly get better with training, but for now her 'combat' lays in using her Woodslore to take advantage of the surroundings. Like, throwing rocks, or making a tree fall, or stomping on that one loose plank. It's what she prefers to do; staying at a distance from a fight and striking wherever she can, in a supportive manner even when she does get better at fighting.

Weak Skills: Raine is good with Beasts, but the same can not at all be said about people. That part is better left up to her brother, no matter how friendly she can be.
She's good with nature, and able to recognize and forage medicinal herbs, but she doesn't actually know what to do with them or much of anything about the human body. She just knows how to recognize and take the gifts nature offers.
Finally, Raine is HORRIBLE at bows and arrows. Do NOT let the girl near a bow or arrows unless you want stray and possibly broken arrows absolutely everywhere… Kade will hate you for it.

Age: Unknown
Species: Familiar/Unknown (NOT a cat!!)

Looks: A black cat with a purple tint and markings to himself, a white underbelly and white underpaws. One eye has a blue sclera and yellow iris, the other has the reverse; a yellow sclera and a blue iris. Both eyes have a big black pupil looming in the middle. He has bat-like wings the same colour as his black/purple fur, despite there being no fur on the wings aside from the top 'bone' in the wing, which have some white fur growing on them. They are soft to the touch though, and have a pink underside. His ears are also pink from the inside. He has a little white around the snout and eyes, and his whiskers are white, too. Jasper as a big, white chest tuft. Last but not least, a tip of his tail is white as well, ending in a tuft. He has little fangs in his mouth, too.

Personality: Jasper is an overall grumpy cat (sorry, NOT a cat) who acts like he hates everything and everyone. He has a temper, and a short fuse. Often lashing out, Jasper is not above reminding people of his claws and fangs. Everything provokes him, but especially being mistaken for or called a cat. Because he is, as he will remind you, in fact, NOT a cat.
Everyone can see, however, that he's got quite the soft spot for Raine. With her, he's just grumpy with a soft and very affectionate side. He's ancient, seemingly, and very wise, and despite his temper acts like a true guide and companion to Raine. Raine and Jasper know of each other that they care very deeply for one another.
And despite viciously reminding everyone he is NOT a cat, Jasper sure acts like one. He loves fish, milk and all that. He is above playing with a ball of yarn or a piece of straw or whatever… unless there's no one (aside from Raine, who won't tell a soul, of course) to see him undignified like that. He cuddles up to Raine and he purrs up a storm. And hisses, too. Quite a lot, actually. Bickering with and teasing him often include the argument about whether is a cat or not (he is NOT, by the way, a cat).

Backstory: Unknown… until Kade obtained a crystal and gifted it to her sister. She wore it in a necklace. After Kade got taken, the crystal got activated and Jasper burst out of it. Jasper does not remember anything before that, his memories tainted but his wisdom not. Luckily for Jasper, who detests the whole 'master' thing, Raine is uncomfortable with it too. And yet, he at least found his true master. He didn't have a choice, but if he did, he still would've stuck with Raine. She treats him well and kindly. He mostly stays out of his crystal now, inseparable with Raine as she goes about her adventures and aiding her in finding her brother back. His story is short as of yet, but will still be written side by side to Raine's story.

YC (one or multiple) come(s) across a young girl. She seems an aspiring adventurer and VERY determined. Dig a little deeper, and you find a girl in pain and grievance over the loss of her brother. She's all alone, but she's not going to let that -or anything- stop her from getting her brother back. Raine is young, though, and not at all experienced. She's not even that good at combat! So, YC decide(s) that she's sticking with them. She's not at all eager to accept the invitation, but in reality she needs the help and she knows it, deep down. She can't do this alone. Raine is secretly very, very relieved to have this help, to have an adventurer's party. She will aid them in any way possible, so long as they aid her in return in her search for her brother.
Though she's still not eager to open up, it is now also possible to get to know her and befriend her. For this plot, it is thus important that your character(s) is/are (an) adventurer(s). Raine won't open up immediately, of course, but over the course of whatever adventures YC go(es) through, the goal is for the party to get to know each other super well and connect so much that it's like a found family. The journey can be whatever 'main' or 'side' quests we choose to undertake, as long as Raine's journey to find her brother is still undergoing in the slight foreground with a clue every now and then, or a quest now and then for that goal. AND, as long as whatever YC's goal is, is also met! Whether that's to become an adventurer themself, stop an evil, right a wrong, etc.

(Interest: Need it :') )
YC (one or multiple) again find(s) a young girl. She is covered in dirt and debris, has various cuts and bruises all over her and she seems absolutely stricken with emotion. Tears stain her face and when talked to, she is incredibly shaken up. All she can do is point in the direction she came from and talk about her brother. Upon further investigation, there IS no brother… he's gone.
YC decide(s) that they can't just leave the girl, Raine out here, so they take her in for now, perhaps patch her up a little and try their best to comfort her. Not that there is any comfort. She soon decides that she wants her brother back. YC decide(s) to aid in that goal.
This prompt/plot is very much like the other one, except with a different way of meeting Raine; get to know her, become as close as a family, and undertake various quests with both of their goals in mind. The plot again will unfold slowly as they get closer and closer to Raine's brother and YC's goal(s), if any.

(Interest: NEED IT MOST OF ALL!!)
Again, YC (this time at least two!) will meet Raine on the road. This time, however, it will be a very different meeting. This time, her brother is still with her. Whether they meet in an inn, or in the woods, they meet. And fate has it, they get to talking and get to know each other a little.
These kids have big aspirations in mind. Raine dreams of being an adventurer and Kade dreams of being right there by her side as a bard, which he is already making good strides towards.

Whether through finding each other already there or being pulled in/going in together, they soon find themself in an adventure. This is Raine and Kade's first adventure. Fun at first, however, it soon goes wrong. This time, not only Kade but both of their loved ones are taken away, leaving only YC (one or multiple, depending on who got taken away and how many there were in the first place) and Raine behind.

This is not the end, however. Both of them now have a shared goal; get their loved ones back from whoever/whatever took them. And they will do so together. They will quest, side by side, with only one goal in mind; getting their loved ones back.
Over the course of this plot, they can, again, get to know each other and become as close as they were with their loved ones.
