Spacer Limit - Bug or Feature?

So I've started to recently make use of the '['spacer']' command to indent my paragraphs. However, for some of my longer posts, I've noticed that after I use a certain number of them, they stop working and the raw code shows through in the final post.

From what I can tell, the upper limit seems to be 20 per post. Is that intended? Because it's kind of a letdown.

You could try copying this into posts at whatever length to try to make your indentations:

Just what's between the lines, mind you, at least until you get an answer. It's not just spaces: it's unicode spacer symbols!

I'm not entirely sure what's causing that, but here's another code you can use to indent your paragraphs:
