Legend claims that it’s located at the end of space and time where reality blurs and clarity is never present. But the truth is, no one really knows its true location, and no one is ever quite sure how they got here, either . . .

Welcome to Somnium Fracta, the city of broken dreams and mysterious abominations. This strange place is a large, eccentric metropolis where deceased hopes and dreams come to be tested and those that were chosen never arrive willingly.

You are a new student at The Opfernacht Symposium, and you have been Enrolled. The Symposium is rumored to be the oldest school in the universe, but no one really knows if that’s true. However, destiny told us you were to come, so here you are. We specialize in the gifted, and we only accept the best and the brightest among even those, so you should feel lucky.

Oh, and one more thing. Your name has been entered in the Lottery. You see, we have this small problem in our fair Somnium Fracta. You see that building in the distance, there? The one with the impossibly twisted architecture? That is the Labyrinth.

No one is quite sure where the Labyrinth came from or what its purpose is. But the one thing we do know is that it creates—well—problems. You see, it spawns Eldritchs. They’re these huge monsters that are quite the pestilence. So each night, we use the Lottery to randomly select three students to enter the Labyrinth and proceed through the fortress, hopefully to unravel its mystery, though none have succeeded, yet. But you are all gifted, after all . . .

Ah, how rude of us. We haven’t even asked your name. Why don’t you tell us about yourself?

C H A R A C T E R - C R E A T I O N

Human
The human is the weakest race, but humans more than make up for their failings with heart, don’t they? Even if humans aren’t as strong, they have a resilience and a will to survive that no other race does. The world of Somnium Fracta even grants them a bit of extra power . . .

Powers (choose ONE)
Psychic – Your character will be able to read the minds of other characters, as well as know what other characters feel, based on other player’s prose.

Clairvoyance – Your character will be able to predict some of the future, but only as much as the head GM (CassieDrey) lets you know. Your character will also be able to see events that are presently happening between other characters that your character is not there for.

Empathy – Your character will be able to know what other characters feel, as well as sense the presence of Eldritchs.

Elf
Ah, the noble, long-lived elf. Elves are close to nature, and they love all living things of the light and have an inherent connection to the spirits. However, all things of the dark are their mortal enemy.

Powers (choose TWO)
Earthsense – Your character will have the power to sense changes in weather patterns, wildlife, and plants, all of which can indicate the presence of Spirits.

Healing – Your character will have the power to heal other characters of injuries, sickness, and ailments. Can NOT revive the dead.

Super Speed & Strength – Your character will be much stronger and faster than other characters, and be able to hold their own against Eldritchs and other beings of the dark.

Power-up Magic – Your character will have the ability to enhance the speed and strength of their allies for a temporary amount of time.

Angel
With their beautiful white wings, the heavenly angel is a child of the light, and they are always pure. Well, probably not. Let’s be realistic here—some of the angels did Fall, right? (Your angel may be Fallen if you like, but your powers will be changed and your character will have black wings.)

Powers (choose TWO)
Telekinesis – Pure angels will have the ability to physically manipulate inanimate objects with their minds. Fallen angels will have the ability to physically manipulate living beings of the light with their minds.

Teleportation – Pure angels will be able to instantly transport themselves and anyone they can touch anywhere outside the Labyrinth to a place they’ve already been. Fallen angels will be able to instantly transport themselves and anyone they can touch anywhere within the Labyrinth to a place they’ve already been.

Doppelganger – Pure angels will be able to create a fake copy of themselves. Fallen angels will be able to create a fake copy of any other character they’ve seen. Copies can only be created inside the Labyrinth.

Timestop – Pure angels will be able to stop time inside the Labyrinth for a temporary amount of time. Fallen angels will be able to stop time outside the Labyrinth for a temporary amount of time. No magic or powers may be used by any character during any kind of Timestop.

Mage
The mighty mage has power of the elements and of all things tangible. Mages have magic in their blood, and they use their own soul as the energy source for their magic. Mages must be careful, for if they use too much magic, the consequences could be dire . . .

Powers (choose THREE)
Command of the Earth – Your character will have the power to manipulate dirt, rocks, and plants using the environment around them.

Command of the Sea –Your character will have the power to manipulate bodies of water using the environment around them.

Command of the Flame –Your character will have the power to manipulate fire and heat using the environment around them.

Command of the Breath –Your character will have the power to manipulate the air and wind using the environment around them.

Healing – Your character will have the power to heal other characters of injuries, sickness, and ailments. Can NOT revive the dead.

Familiar Summon – Your character will have the ability to summon one supernatural familiar for a temporary amount of time. May be anything off the Familiar list.

Spirit-walker
The Spirit-walker is the most powerful and mysterious of all the races. They commune with the Spirits, and are also the keepers of the dead. They draw their magical energy from the Spirits, thus their magical energy is limitless.

Powers (choose THREE)
Revival – Your character will be able to resurrect the recently deceased at any time. Works on allies only, and does not work in the Labyrinth.

Familiar Summon – Your character will have the ability to summon one supernatural familiar for a temporary amount of time. Your character may summon anything off the Familiar list.

Spirit Summon – Your character will have the ability to summon one Spirit to lend them their powers for a temporary amount of time. Spirits cannot be summoned within the Labyrinth, and may be anything off the Spirit list.

Teleportation – Your character will be able to instantly transport themselves and anyone they can touch anywhere outside the Labyrinth to a place they’ve already been. This power does not work inside the Labyrinth.

Spiritsense – Your character will have the power to sense the presence of Spirits and communicate with them.

Power-up Magic – Your character will have the ability to enhance the speed and strength of their allies for a temporary amount of time.
Players are not allowed to give characters any weapons outside this list. Each character gets ONE weapon. Players are allowed to pick different models and designs within their selection based on reality. All weapons that require ammunition have a limitless supply.

Players are not allowed to give characters any items outside this list. Humans pick THREE items. Elves and angels pick TWO items. Mages and spirit-walkers pick ONE item. Any item with a number [ex: x10] means you will get more than one of that item and that it is exhaustible. Once you run out of your exhaustible items, you cannot gain anymore unless a teacher gives you more. Equipment cannot be traded.

Amulet of Protection – This amulet will make it less likely that Eldritchs will see you as their next tasty meal.

Batteries (x10) – Batteries, one of the things that give us electricity! Can be used for any number of various devices.

Canned Beans (x15) – You never know when you might need some extra food. Or when the teachers might leave you stranded in the middle of the wilderness to test your survival skills . . .

Crystal Ball – A mysterious crystal ball that will help you predict the future. It’s not always reliable, though.

Elixir of Life (x2) – A potion that revives the dead. Does not work for devoured characters.

Fairy Light – A little Fairy Spirit in a jar that will light your way with the softest, purest light one can imagine.

Firewood (x10 logs) – Ooh, look, fuel for a fire. Fire makes light, ya know! It makes heat, too.

Flash Powder (x15 packets) – Flash powder is perfect for confusing and blinding your enemy! This works on Eldritchs, as they utterly despise the light.

Flashlight (x1 set batteries) – The light is important in the dark. Especially the deep, dark depths of the Labyrinth. This flashlight only comes with one set of fresh batteries, though.

Flint & Steel – Fire is important! It creates light, which staves off the Eldritchs, who hate the light.

Iron Shield – This reliable shield could be the difference between life and death. Use it wisely.

Leather Gauntlets – Can be used to protect your hands and pack a harder punch!

Smoke Bomb (x10) – Can be used to distract or disorient an enemy so you can gain the upper hand. It doesn’t work on Eldritchs, though.

Solar-Powered Lantern – A small lantern that runs on solar energy! Environmentally friendly and always works, as long as it can store solar energy!

Steel Helmet – Something to protect your soft head. Eldritchs also seem slightly less interested in things with helmets . . .

Steel-Soled Boots – A pair of boots that pack quite the kick. They take a lot of strength to use, though.

Talisman of Energy – A talisman that gives you extra energy. It could help when you’re in a tough fight or you have to survive in a hostile environment.

Talisman of the Elements – This talisman can be used to enhance the power of any of the four elements.

Talisman of the Warrior – This talisman will give you the strength and valor to stand your ground against beings of the dark, no matter how fearful your allies become.

Tent – A little shelter goes a long way. This could shield you from the elements, or worse . . .
Only student applications are available. Please post all applications in this thread. Up to ten players are being accepted, with up to two characters per player.

You may only have pureblood characters—no halvsies or mixed blood. If your character is not from Somnium Fracta, they don’t know how they got here and only remember the last thing they were doing before they found themselves in Somnium Fracta. If your character has family/friends, they live outside of Somnium Fracta, and their location is unknown. If the location of family/friends is revealed, it will be forgotten by your character on the next post. However, characters are allowed to keep in contact with family/friends.

You may submit more than two applications, but only two of your characters will be selected. Reserves are permitted, and you will have a placeholder for your application. A title, final character song, and text color for your character will be chosen by the gamemasters (CassieDrey & hadespyre) upon acceptance to the game.

Please use proper grammar and spelling in your application. Please keep all formatting for the application the same, and remove all brackets upon submission. Player rules must be followed at all times. Failure to follow player rules will result in penalization and possible removal from the game. If you have any concerns or questions about the player rules, feel free to PM one of the gamemasters (CassieDrey & hadespyre).

1. This is a fantasy pseudo-horror survival roleplay. Therefore, characters are meant to be limited and underpowered. No godmodding and no breaking the worldbuilding rules set by the gamemasters (CassieDrey & hadespyre). Breaking the worldbuilding rules or godmodding will result in the death of your character(s) for a day, during which no other player is allowed to revive your character(s). Multiple violations will result in the permanent death of your character(s) and removal from the game.

2. Because this is a survival roleplay, understand that if you enter this RP, your character(s) may unexpectedly die through certain game mechanics. Your character(s) may be revived with your permission at any time by any other character with the Revival ability or an Elixir of Life.

3. Use any brackets of your choice for OOC conversation, (( )), [[ ]], - -, = =, | |, ( ), [ ]. OOC conversation and commentary during the RP is permitted and encouraged—let’s get to know each other!

4. Always be courteous to others, and treat all fellow players with respect. Thus, do not godmod or kill/revive fellow player’s characters unless you are granted permission. Also, make sure to be inclusive and RP with as many other players as you can—your character(s) will only survive through teamwork.

5. Commit to this RP, please. Post at least five times a week, and try to be present for events (you will be PMed anytime an event comes up). Provoked Events are caused by certain actions that characters perform of their own volition. The number of actions will be known for each Provoked Event, but players will not know what the actions are until one is performed and the character is penalized, after which it will be revealed on the list. A character will suddenly die, and may only be revived by a fellow character with the player’s permission at any time.

A character will be inflicted with a disease for a certain number of days, and will be unable to participate in classes or school activities. A character will be unconscious for three days. They will be unable to participate in classes or school activities during this time. A character will wake up after the three days have passed. Aversely, characters may be awoken early with an Elixir of Awakening.

Concoctions are special mixtures that are consumed in order to cause damage, enhance abilities or aid characters. Any concoction may be a solid, liquid, or gas—the state of any concoction being created or used outside class is at player discretion unless specified by a gamemaster. Once a concoction has been created, it is part of that character’s equipment, and is an exhaustible item. Only one concoction should be consumed at a time—mixing different concoctions will cause death.

Characters may only mix concoctions off this list. Characters may only mix a concoction once they have learned how to make it correctly in class. Any attempt to mix a concoction that isn’t on this list or before a character has learned how to make it will result in death.

A familiar can be summoned and fight on behalf of the summoner. Each familiar has its own special ability. Only one familiar may be summoned at a time. The familiar will remain present until it is dismissed or once it has used its ability. The familiar your character summons will be different each time. All familiars are randomly generated and played by hadespyre.

The Cat – Revives one character.
The Crane – Can transport a group to any location they’ve already been.
The Crocodile – Gives the summoner a Concoction.
The Dog – All enemies in the area flee from the group.
The Firefly – Blinds an Eldritch.
The Horse – Heals one character.
The Monkey – Reverses gravity on an enemy.
The Ox – Kills one Eldritch in one hit.
The Rabbit – Upon death or being ordered to, explodes, killing any enemies in the immediate vicinity.
The Rat – Can look at the area ahead, then report back on its findings.
The Snake – Causes an Eldritch to kill all other Eldritchs in the area.
The Tiger – Kills one Eldritch in three hits.
A Spirit can commune with and be summoned by spirit-walkers. Spirits are able to give advice, but they always speak in riddles. Only one Spirit may be summoned at a time. When summoned, a Spirit can give advice and can grant powers to someone of the spirit-walker’s choosing. The powers will be revoked once the spirit departs. The spirit your character summons will be different each time. All spirits are randomly generated and played by hadespyre.

The Dragon – Grants familiar summon.
The Fairy – Grants telekinesis (pure).
The Gargoyle – Grants telekinesis (fallen).
The Giant – Grants super speed & strength.
The Gnome – Grants command of the earth.
The Griffin – Grants power-up magic.
The Mermaid – Grants command of the sea.
The Muse – Grants empathy.
The Phoenix – Grants command of the flame.
The Troll – Grants earthsense.
The Unicorn – Grants revival.
The Zephyr – Grants command of the breath.

T H E - F A C U L T Y

The faculty at the Opfernacht Symposium are among the best. Of course, some of the teachers choose to prey on students at their discretion, for there is nothing to stop them, not even the Principle. Winning the favor of the teachers is to the benefit of the students, for the teachers are who keep student equipment stocked.

All the teachers are halvsies for some reason, but no one knows why. Rumor has it that the Principle likes halvsies, but no one is sure whether or not that’s true.

INVICTUS PSYCHONAUGHT, THE PRINCIPLE

Personality: Petros is a very bitter and harsh man, and is quite merciless in how he regards others. He favors students with talent in concoctions, and will often invest more time and energy in them, even to the detriment of other students. He enjoys using students he dislikes for demonstrations of various concoctions, thus students best try to win over his favor, lest he choose them.

DELPHINE RIDER, THE MAGICIAN

Personality: Delphine is very friendly and open-minded to most people, though she does not get along well with Xabier. She enjoys extracurricular time with students and genuinely wants them to succeed, though she favors students with more active abilities. Though she’s a good teacher, Delphine will tend to teach students in a rather random and chaotic fashion. Her favorite student is Magdelina.

XABIER MANCHESTER, THE WISEMAN

Personality: Xabier is a tough pull-no-punches fighter who prefers hand-to-hand combat. He likes to stalk students from the shadows in order to test their training outside of class, so students best exercise constant vigilance, lest they be set upon by him. He believes in hardcore, relentless training, and is not satisfied unless students leave class with bruises. Perseus is his favorite student.

MALINA THANATOS, THE HISTORIAN

Gender: Female
Personality: Malina exults history above all else, and believes her subject is the most important. She deeply enjoys assigning lots of homework, as she loves grading assignments. She is bookish and short-tempered. Students are best advised not to insult history, and should ALWAYS pay attention, lest they be punished. Her favorite student is Abaddon Maxwell.

EKO SAMSON, THE SCIENTIST

Personality: Eko is an eccentric teacher who loves to dissect and experiment on things. They like to challenge their students, and also may or may not use students as test subjects, depending on their mood. Students should take caution, for one never knows when Eko might trick one into volunteering for one of their strange experiments. Nobody is sure what Eko’s sex is, but make sure to use ‘they/them’ pronouns.

GWENEVIEVE BELLE, THE ARTIST

Race: Half elf, half human
Gender: Female
Personality: Gwenevieve is a mild-mannered teacher who likes to challenge her students. She will often take students on dangerous field trips to inspire their artistic expression and help them learn new survival and fighting skills. Anyone caught slacking off in her class will be punished, so students best not blow off the art course.

T H E - L A B Y R I N T H - N A V I G A T O R S


The Labyrinth Navigators are also students, but they are there to help their fellow students drawn for the Lottery through the Labyrinth, and they are also dedicated to unraveling the mysteries of the Labyrinth. They are the only second years, as their classmates had all died in an unfortunate accident the previous year, and cannot be revived. Because they are in the Labyrinth every night, these three are exempt from the Lottery.

They will attend classes alongside player characters, though they will have higher level assignments. They will also escort player characters through the Labyrinth and give advice. The teachers favor them, which means they can replenish their equipment regularly and they are not preyed upon by teachers. Well, not as much, anyway.

ABADDON MAXWELL, THE GUIDE

Sexuality: Polyamorous-bisexual
Age: 16
Height: 5’4”
Weight: 135 lbs.
Eye color: Gold
Hair color: Black with blue highlights
Skin color: Alabaster

Personality: Abaddon is very friendly and bubbly, and loves to be around people. He always likes to make new friends, and dedicates himself to keeping his fellow students safe. He is the type of person who will strike up conversations with people he doesn’t know, and he loves to hear other people’s thoughts and stories.

He suffers from cyclothymia, a milder form of bipolar disorder that causes less extreme mood swings. Because of this, he will sometimes have depressive phases where he feels hopeless and sad. He will also have manic phases, in which he is more impulsive than usual and feels highly confident.

Abaddon loves fighting and enjoys the challenge of trying to get stronger. He will sometimes challenge one of his fellow students to a fight in order to hone his skills, as well as theirs. He absolutely hates people who try to sabotage the survival of others, and has a strong dislike of the teachers, despite the fact that he’s a good student.

Bio: Abaddon has lived in Somnium Fracta his whole life, but his family currently lives elsewhere in a location he doesn’t know. He has both his parents and a little sister. His parents are divorced, and he keeps in contact with both of them regularly, as well as his little sister.

He was Enrolled at the age of fifteen, and his name has been drawn for the Lottery over sixty times. Abaddon is the one who suggested the idea that students be escorted through the Labyrinth, and he was appointed to be the guide.

Abaddon hopes to someday be a writer, as he absolutely loves storytelling. He wants to write novels and scripts, as well as for video games, and even some poetry. He currently writes lots of fanfiction and poetry, but hasn’t produced any original prose yet.

Abaddon is dating both Perseus and Magdelina, and is currently not looking for any more relationships.

Magdelina struggles to balance her life with her beliefs, as she wants to protect all lives, but finds herself unable to always do that at Opfernacht. She hates making tough calls about the survival of other students, and will often be indecisive about this.

Magdelina loves video games and books, and puzzles. She also loves tea and athletic drinks. She dislikes people who hamper the survival of others, and absolutely can’t stand people who manipulate others.

Magdelina’s best quality is her calm demeanor, which keeps people level-headed and thinking clearly. Magdelina’s worst quality is her indecision over making tough survival decisions, which can cause issues for an entire team.

Magdelina eats only organic food, and snorts when she laughs, which she is very self conscious about.

Bio: Magdelina grew up in a wealthy family elsewhere from Somnium Fracta, and she isn’t quite sure how she ended up here. Her family is Wiccan with a strong lineage of priestesses, with Magdelina next in line. Her parents are currently in a location outside of Somnium Fracta, but she is not sure where, though she keeps in contact with them.

Magdelina was Enrolled at age fourteen, and since then, her name has been entered in the Lottery about fifty times. She decided to team up with Abaddon and Perseus this year in order to escort students through the Labyrinth.

Magdelina wants to someday become a Wiccan priestess, just as her family wishes her to be. She dedicates much of her time to studying and practicing Wiccan rituals and rites, as well as theology and spiritual meditation. For fun, she plays video games, reads, and solves puzzles.

He never knew his parents, and this is one of his biggest regrets. He also regrets becoming a Fallen angel, and sometimes suffers from depression, sadness and disillusionment because of it.

Perseus loves quiet places and tea, as well as books, computer programming, and video games. He dislikes loud, noisy places, but he likes loud, outgoing people. The one thing he can’t stand is someone who acts selfishly and unreliably. He also hates the teachers, though they favor him.

His best quality is his tender, caring heart and nurturing qualities, which ensures that he will always take good care of those around him. His worst quality is his shyness, which can sometimes create issues in a team setting.

Perseus can often be found curled up in a corner with some tea, always with a book, his laptop, or a handheld game.

Bio: Perseus grew up in the Somnium Fracta orphanage, as his parents had him out of wedlock and gave him up for adoption. He was never adopted, and he never knew his parents. His life in the orphanage was tough, and it prepared him for the trials he would face at Opfernacht.

Since entering Opfernacht at age seventeen, Perseus’ name has been entered into the Lottery more than one hundred and fifty times. He also killed a fellow student when he was in his first year, and is the reason he became a Fallen angel. This is something he deeply regrets and wishes it could be undone.

Perseus hopes to someday work with Abaddon to develop video games as a game programmer and designer. He also wants to open his own tea shop on the side, as well as create some of his own tea blends to sell. He spends much of his free time reading, playing video games, or working on various programming projects.

Perseus is dating both Abaddon and Magdelina, and is currently not looking for any more relationships.

Personality: Of the two twins, Mich is the more carefree of the two, despite his status as a fallen. It doesn't have anything to do with religion, or God, or really even responsibility. Mich has just found his way to cope with the hardships that life sends his way. When he's given lemons, he let's them sit in the windowsill to ferment, then turns them into a blast of flavorful alcohol. When it comes to people other than his brother, Mich generally likes them all. However, there are certain kinds of people who just, unfortunately, rub him the wrong way. They get the leftover, squishy lemon peels.
Michael doesn't focus of the females too often, despite his personality. Don't get it wrong, he can admire the female -- and male -- body, he just doesn't feel the need to settle down with someone... At all. Due to his lighthearted nature, he also likes to tease his brother Gabriel, who has a more serious personality. Often times, this teasing looks like regular, sexual harassment, but it's all just fun and games. His taste in music is somewhat retro, or just plain kind of maybe sorta old. He likes the oldies, the 70s, the 80s, some of the 90s. As far as modern tunes go, evidently they can all go burn in hell. Oh, and mashed potatoes and gravy are his favorite.

Bio: Both Michael and Gabriel were "born" into a loving community of other angels. They grew very close as the years went on, and Michael took a turn for the slightly more affectionate and even violent, while Gabriel turned to studying.
Whilst Gabe studied, Mich trained to become a warrior, spending much of his time in the training yard, battling fellow students. His wings were turned black and he became a Fallen after a tragic accident involving a training partner. Things had been going poorly that day, and he was distracted, moving more on instinct and not thinking any of his actions through. The training session ended when Michs partner was impaled through the lungs with the training staff.
After Falling, Michael went through a very distant phase, filled with guilt and depression. He had been discharged from the community, and was forced to swear that he would never return. Thus, when he finally made up his mind to move on, he enrolled into Somnium Fracta.

Personality: Gabriel is something of an angry person, but he doesn't know what to do with himself. He's not a Fallen, but often times he feels that he should be. The way he thinks has a little more to do with God than the way his twin brother, Michael thinks. After all, the way the myth goes, God is the one that stained his closest friends wings pitch black. The other reason for his bitterness, is pretty much that he's a hopeless romantic. At 17 years old, Gabriel feels more or less rejected, like he'll never find the right person. Mich tries to take his mind off of these thoughts, most times by teasing him and making light of the situation. However, sometimes, Gabe simply turns around and takes his frustrations out on his brother. Neither one would really ever hurt the other, but there have been plenty of times where they've wanted to.
Gabriel's likes are pretty much that of a normal, teenage boy. Girls, food, a little bit of school. And his brother. It's not likely he'll openly admit it, but he truly does love his other half.

Bio: Both Michael and Gabriel were "born" into a loving community of other angels. They grew very close as the years went on, and Michael took a turn for the slightly more passionate, while Gabriel turned to studying.
Whilst Mich trained in the courtyard with staves and swords, Gabe began work to become a scholar. On the day of the accident, him and his brother had had a difference in opinions, and it had left the both of them foul. The very next day, when Gabe was presented with the possibility of never seeing his beloved brother again, he was filled with grief from the idea.
After an amount of time, Gabriel left the community on his own to be with Michael. The two of them bought about what to do for even longer. Eventually, they decided to enroll into Somnium Fracta.

Nocturne is a humorous, friendly, and an clumsy individual. When it comes to the darker things in this world, especially in places like the Labyrinth, he always attempt to put a little light into the despairing atmosphere. Nocturne is serious when it comes to battling or when he is stuck in his studies, but in his spare time he loves to peep at some of the good-looking men and women of the Symposium; making him a sneaky pervert by heart. But what a handsome pervert he is!

Nocturne developed some habits beside his perverse attitude. He also loves to communicate with his Familiar- just because of his interest of decoding its riddles. He developed an intriguing happiness in his summons, which aids him through perilous obstacles- which he counts on more than himself.

Bio:

Born from young runaway parents, the young couple dropped off Nocturne at the doorstep of an orphanage before they fled from the police for a charge of hit and run. Nocturne spent his seventeen years serving and taking care of his orphan siblings and studied upon demonology for the fun of it. That was when, after entering this Symposium, he discovered the Familiar and the Spirit, and he gained the ability to learn more about Familiar and Spirit studies; which is slightly like demonology, but more alive and good and all.

His first kiss was from a boy during his orphanage years, which gives him the sexual preference as a bisexual. And every day, he envisions himself to court with a woman, or a man, so he wouldn’t become alone- even in the Labyrinth. But, due to his slurred speech when talking to a crush, or his misadventures of making the romantic first move, his chance of finding a partner is an awkward slim.

In his spare time, he reads mythology books, peep at men and women for his viewing pleasure, and communicate with his Familiar, his Spirits, and Spirits afar.

Familiar Summon – Nocturne will have the ability to summon one supernatural familiar for a temporary amount of time.

Shy, secretive, but yet smart, Adelaine’s silent hush-hush personality can be posed as a charm to the faces of men. When it comes to conversations, she engages first in small talk; but once the barrier of shyness rubs off from her, she could talk a mouthful.

Even though she is mature now to wonder on her own, she goes in and out of a depression trance which is triggered thanks to an abusive past; the wave passes through after minutes of contemplating. After the wave passes, she returns to be a shy person with a heart of gold.

Due to her nervousness in the past, she had a habit of biting her fingernails- which all began during her childhood. Now her fingernails are unhealthy, which lowers her self esteem by the cuticle.


Bio:

During her destructive childhood, Adelaine prays and wishes to escape from this nightmare called home. Growing up as a maid, not a daughter, she suffers with the consequence of physical abuse by her mother and father if nothing gets completed in a certain amount of time.

The abuse leads to complications to her social life, which lead her to being bullied and made fun of for being an unfortunate miscreant. Also, the abuse led her to a low emotional and mental status, resulting through small cuts on her arms from whatever was sharp around the house, and the inability to speak for weeks. But ever since she is free from this nightmare by running away from home, she felt like the massive weight on her heavy heart has been lifted off.

Residing at the Symposium, she fears about the Lottery, about which true fate will arrive. But she hopes that she can train with her weaponry and her empathetic ability before her ticket is drawn. She spends her time doodling anime, playing Jenga all by herself, and train her athletic abilities to fight with her weapons and her bestowed power.

Powers:
Empathy – Adelaine is able to know what other people truly feel, as well as sense the presence of Eldritchs.

Personality: A thoughtful, clever, charismatic, yet energetic young person, that moves gracefully yet gives small bursts of energy. He knows how to act in a situation, often reading people's emotions well and reacting based on that. He has a strong sense of right and wrong, but doesn't always follow it. He likes it when people underestimate him, only to prove them wrong later. When feeling the need, he will not speak his motives, only showing his intentions when he needs it.

In a good mood, he tends to be a creative thinker, very dependable, laid-back and not too serious. He almost constantly will have a small smirk or smile on his face. He'll celebrate victories and brush off failure, looking for a better way. Somehow, he likes to pull out things that he needs from nowhere.

Under a more serious atmosphere, he'll stay very quiet, listening, and only speaking a few words at a time when most needed. Even if it seems like he's not paying attention, he is actually just trying to be aware of everything he can. Rather than smiling, he will have a cold glare and blank face.

And although very rare, he does hold back a lot of rage, which he can send out all in one moment. When Violone gets angry, it's like being struck by lightning, as his voice becomes terrifying and almost demonic, and words that you never thought he would say comes out. It is usually the kind of rage that could be described as murderous and blood-thirsty, which he would being willing to do to a random person at this time.

Bio: Violone was born in a place where war constantly raged, and he and his family could not leave. He spent his days up until he was 7, learning to fight from his father, a solider. When he was five, he found a harmonica in a abandoned bunker. He was apparently a musical genius, and at 8, when he was told by his parents to leave the country and find his aunt he didn't know, but leave them behind, he learned every instrument he could. Including the one he didn't know he was named after.

Apparently spirits liked his music to, because at 12, while playing on a Cello, he just happened to meet a few.

After suddenly being Enrolled at age fifteen, he had spent his time doing mostly the same things, writing songs and playing music alone, sometimes writing or drawing which although he was ver good at, preferred music.

Powers: Spirit-Summon, Spiritsense, Power-up Magic.

Weapon: Big Scary-looking machine gun.

Personality: Usually with a smile on her face, Luna is always the optimistic of every situation. To her, the world is and always will be peaceful, and it is those in it who taint it with their sins and lies. She fights for the sole purpose of ridding the world of the "parasites" that inhabit it, yet she doesn't speak much of what her idea of a perfect world is. She often worries about what those around her think of her, and tries her best to be a "yes man" of sorts by always agreeing with those who speak to her even if she doesn't truly agree.

True to her elvish nature, she is happiest when closest to nature and all things green and leafy. Yet, those who devour meat and pollute the world makes her see red. It is here where one may question her right to purge the world of evil when "evil" in her mind includes meat eaters and litterers. This side of her is a result of her split personality, one moment she is bright and bubbly and excited to be with a group. Then the next she is violent and fighting for her life to rid the world of those she despises.


She bites her nails when nervous, leaving them rather stubby, and taps her foot to a beat no one can hear. When nervous it is hard to focus on her current task and her mind begins to wander off to other things. This makes her easily distracted and often unreliable in battle, but if she is battling along with a cute partner or a respectable mentor her attention will always be on them and their safety. She is better as a distracted ally than a focused enemy, and she assures her friends keep that in mind.

Bio: Having been born naturally in a cabin hidden deep in the woods, Luna was exposed to the world under the light of the moon. She was praised as gifted by her father and mother, having had still born children four times before her, and that she would be destined for great things. As time went on and the world grew more advanced, Luna's focus from being the voice of the trees and flowers to slowly being their weapon. She watched as others got their will through violence, black mail, threats, and saw it was more effective than any of what her fellow elves had done. With her parents blinded by their self proclaimed "god child", they allowed her to torture, kill, kidnap, and manipulate those who were against nature in anyway.

As time went on, she was announced as insane by the village elder for her very animalistic and sinful behavior. Due to this, she was casted out of her home and away from her family by the majority of her village; her parents still praising her name. With the world now open to her, she felt it a chance to spread her will to more than just those who stumbled across her village. Luna, unlike some elves, did enjoy the modern world to an extent. She enjoyed the "music makers" such as computers that play music or MP3 devices. Often when meditating she would wear white earbuds and listen to calming tunes, be her out in the woods or in the city. Along with music, she enjoyed movies, yet they could be to blame for her violent behavior towards those she views as evil.

Alas, life on the street was rather unforgiving, even for someone as powerful as her. She realized how much she was outnumbered here, people polluting and littering and smoking and ruining the earth as if it were immortal. She contemplated leaving, perhaps hiding out some place far away, allowing herself to rot away in some cave. But it was during a full moon did she get a letter from her parents telling of a place called Somnium Fracta. A place where hopefully she would be accepted and her view on the world would be broadened, a place of promise and potential, a place of friends and allies, it was enough to make her cry tears of joy. Finally with a place to go, Luna headed towards this place and enrolled as best she could, with only a bag of some nice dresses, an iPod, and a pair of headphones to her name.

Physical Appearance: Luna has pale skin that doesn't seem to tan despite being out in the sun most of her time. Her crimson eyes are more inviting than fearsome, maybe because of the smile. Her finger nails are short and stubby from biting them. Her hair is white, more curly than straight, bouncing with every other step she takes. She wears bright clothes, from white to yellow to pink, basically whatever color helps her stand out from the rest. Often wearing dresses, Luna doesn't do much to ruin the appeal of her clothes such as running or jumping or any physical activities. Her elvish ears have a hard time sticking out of her thick hair, but they are pointed and hold a golden earring on each. Her skin is pure, as in no tattoos or scars or cuts, with a healing ability it is easy to keep her skin young and smooth.

Personality: Agni is quite a mysterious girl, unlike her sister she doesn't really like to be around people that much. Being known as a hot head, she will shout at anyone by the smallest things, though she tries to restrain this rage of hers as much as she can. She will try to make herself look cold, like she doesn't care about anything, but it is easy to see that her heart carry passion and kindness. Once someone wins Agni's trust, she'll be extremely loyal to them, but if said person breaks her trust, she will never forgive them and herself. She can also be really sarcastic, sometimes saying things without even thinking, she has hurt many people like this. She likes when people see more in her than that hot tempered sarcastic psychopath girl, or when they mess with her hair, it's her weakness. She dislikes people who see themselves as superiors of others, this is why her relationship with her sister isn't one of the bests.

Agni's relationship with her sister can be quite chaotic, they are like oil and water, they do not mix. She hates how her sister controls her, or at least tries, by throwing orders. If she does anything wrong, her sister will start to lecture her, saying how it was irresponsible of her and how she could get hurt and how she could have hurt anyone else. When it happens, Agni will start to yell in rage, and then storm off. One of the things she does to calm herself down is play with fire or run until her legs can't move anymore. But, there are times when the two are in good terms, though it can be easily ruined by a single word, a single action, anything. Agni wouldn't ever admit this out loud, but she does love her sister and would do anything to protect her, even die.

Bio: Agni grew up in a small family of three: herself, her sister and her father. At that time, she and her sister acted like real siblings, playing with each other, fighting each other, apologizing each other, and, most importantly, loving each other. Her father, Raphael, was a really good man, he was gentle, but also firm and strong. Agni admired him. She didn't know her mother, and, honestly, she didn't care either. The only thing Raphael said about that woman was that when the twins, Agni and her sister, were born, she left without saying a word. He said that she thought they were a mistake, and that was enough for the little Agni to start hating her mother.

As a child, Agni was really joyful, she would always be laughing, running, playing, and doing the thing that she loved the most, controlling fire. Father said for her to be careful, as fire was a really dangerous element, she didn't understand why though, she loved fire, there was nothing wrong with it. It was red, bright, beautiful, it almost seemed alive. But then, one day she understood why no one could ever play with fire like her sister could play with water. And, in that day, everything changed.

When Agni and her sister were 14, their father died because of a plague. He was sick for weeks, but she still had hope, until one day she saw the unmoving figure of Raphael. She tried to wake him by shaking him and even slapping his face. But it was useless. She then started to sob. And the last thing she remembers is her sister running up to her, then, everything was red. When she woke up, her whole house was on fire, her sister was desperately trying to extinguish the fire, and, with the help of others mages, they succeed. Apparently, she put fire to the house, fire that expanded to the rest of the village, a village she couldn't quite remember, probably because the flames burned everything she had to remember. Fortunately, no one died. Since that day, her sister, no, no one was ever the same towards her, she started being ignored and, when not being treated like a ghost, people would call her a monster. Agni tried to explain that it wasn't her fault, but no one believed her. Not even her sister. And since today, she still had nightmares about the event. And she still couldn't remember what happened after everything went red.

Skin color: Caucasian white with freckles Personality: Nirvelli is a girl down to earth. Unlike her sister, she is a lot more calm and relaxed. She is the kind of person that takes responsibilities a bit too serious, sometimes forgetting to actually rest for a bit. She is quick to trust people, a quality that her sister disagrees with. Nirvelli always think before acting, always trying to put her emotions aside when needed. Though, this only happens when she is focused, around people she is really friendly and open minded. The only exception being her sister.

Nirvelli's relationship with her sister isn't one of
the bests. She finds her sister too much explosive, dangerous. You can't say a word near her and she is already breathing fire. She also gets really annoyed when her sister acts without thinking, she'll just jump in a fight without even analyzing if there's a chance of victory. It drives her crazy. But, she had always been there to save her stupid twin, even if sometimes she didn't felt like it. She doesn't hate her sister, but doesn't love LOVE her either. Nirvelli would never admit this out loud, but she was really afraid of her sibling, afraid that one day she would simply go nuts and burn everything around, including her. It was a sick thought to have, but she couldn't help it, she was afraid.

Father would always be encouraging her, saying that water was a beautiful element, it was pure and beautiful, just like her soul. She then started to train harder, though, no matter how hard she trained, she never could win her sister in a spare. Nirvelli would always watch her twin controlling fire like nothing, making beautiful and deadly strikes. That was when the seed of envy was implanted, and, soon, fear as well.

When Nirvelli and her sister were 14, their father was sick of a plague. He was sick for weeks, but
she still had hope, and she knew he was going to live, but the monster of her sister killed him, and almost killed me as well. That day, she saw her sister next to her father, crying apparently. But, all of sudden, the flames of the candles that were lit in the run started to go crazy. Fire started to spread like crazy, it felt like hell. Thanks to her control over water, she saved herself, but she couldn't say the same for her father, or what remained of him. With other mages, they controlled the fire that took over the village that she didn't even remember anymore, and, when her sister finally got up, the flames ceased for good. That was when fear took over her body, Nirvelli couldn't see Agni as her sister anymore, just as a monster.
