Alvie laughed at Dante's confidence. She was glad to have him there for her and she was grateful. Alvie turned and gave him a true, sincere smile, feeling happier than she had for a long time. "That means a lot, but I hope you don't get hurt like that again. He was able to dislocate your shoulder with one punch." she said, laughing a little. As they walked, Alvie felt like she had more spring in her step, more energy. She actual felt true happiness. Looking ahead, Alvie's smile dropped and she scrunched her nose, noticing that they had reached the classroom. "Great, History. I guess all that's left is to go onward." she said, pointing her finger at the door and raising her other hand over her face dramatically. Then, she opened the door and sulked in, immediately feeling eyes turn to her. Alvie gulped and stepped forward, giving Dante room to enter the classroom.

Dante shook his head and smiled a little, he knew perfectly well he'd have to improvise during their next encounter, he was happy however that Alvie seemed a little more cheery than she usually did. At least she was feeling a little better about everything, however that look soon disappeared when they arrived at the classroom again, he nodded at her comment, laughing a little at her dramatic display. Then, he followed her in after she opened the door feeling those stares on him as well, he just immediately looked away from everyone trying his best to ignore the fact that all the attention was pretty much on the two of them as they walked in. They sat more or less right next to each other here, so it shouldn't be too hard to find the two empty seats in the room here.

Alvie looked at the teacher and she nodded, motioning them to take a seat. Scanning the room, she found the two empty seats and smiled, noticing that they actually sat next to each other during this class. She walked forward and didn't notice a boy stick out his foot right as she walked past. Her smile wiped away as shock flashed in replacement of it. She stumbled forward and luckily caught herself, turning to glare at the boy. Alvie huffed, noticing that it was a boy from Antonio's group. "So childish..." she muttered, standing upright and making her way to her seat, avoiding the snickers and stares she received as she sat down. Alvie put her chin on her hand and looked out at the blackboard, her eyes narrowed in irritation. While she sat, she drummed her fingers on the table silently, a habit she did when she was frustrated.

Seeing the rather annoying behavior displayed by Antonio's "gang" Dante sighed a little shaking his head, hearing Alvies comment on the situation, it seemed he wasn't the only one who thought this behavior was more disruptive than anything, but he didn't say a word just yet. He followed Alvie to their seats noticing the teacher was also pretty irritated by what was going on, he tried to ignore the snickers other people were letting out as class continued, he tried to concentrate on what the teacher was teaching, but he couldn't help but notice Alvie was getting a little irritated herself. Perhaps he ought to do something about Antonio and his group for once, however he didn't have any ideas on what exactly he could do, so for now he tried to ignore them and focus on the class...

As the class continued, Alvie was beginning to calm down as she started to take notes. Looking up, she saw the teacher excuse herself before leaving the classroom. Alvie sighed and put her mechanical pencil on the area between the top of her ear and her head. Turning her head, she looked to see the boy staring at Alvie, a sly smile on his lips. Alvie narrowed her eyes at the boy and intensified her glare even more when he wiggled his eyebrows at her. "Disgusting pig." she muttered, just loud enough for the boy to hear. The boy gave a mock gasp and put his hand on his chest. "Oh, poor me, who has been called a pig!" he cried out loud, receiving attention from the people in the class. "Is that all you got, Renolds? Last time I checked, you were a measly no-good mute who just takes up space. Am I wrong?" he asked, directing the question to the class. Most of the students shrugged and muttered some kind of agreement. Alvie felt the embarrassment and anger rise in her chest, but one thing really stood out. She felt alone. Alvie stood up and opened her mouth to say something, but received a mocking gesture from the boy. Instead, she grabbed her book bag and stomped past, shoving the boy's shoulder in the process. As she walked out the door, she let it slam shut behind her, tears welling up uncontrollably behind her eyes. She rushed to the girl's bathroom and sat on the floor, ripping her journal out of her bag. As she wrote, small tear drops made their way onto the page.

The way the boy insulted Alvie really irritated Dante, and for the first time, he was starting to feel a particularly strong sense of anger, without much thought, he stood up to face the boy as Alvie started to walk out looking rather upset; this only added to what felt like a raging fire burning inside him. "How ironic... Taking up space is your job... Disgusting pig." He said coldly before walking out the door himself making sure to give the boy what could only be described as a death glare as he did so, he hoped he wasn't too far behind Alvie as she looked quite upset. The faint but audible sounds of her footsteps carried down the hall and Dante followed them as quickly as he could, stopping when he realized that she had gone into the girls bathroom, and knowing it wouldn't be the best idea to go in there after her, he stood outside the door, waiting for her to come out. By now he had calmed down a little, unsure exactly what had happened to him in class, perhaps all that frustration and guilt had finally boiled down to what he did...

Alvie paused her writing and sniffed, rubbing her wet eyes. She stood and put her journal away then stared into the mirror. Her eyes were red and she sighed, turning on the faucet and splashing some water on her face. She had told herself countless times not to cry in these situations, but this one had gotten to her somehow. "I don't understand. What is it about me that they dislike so much?" she asked her reflection, tears welling up in her eyes again. Deciding that she needed to calm down, Alvie closed her eyes and took a deep breath before grabbing her book bag and walking out of the bathroom. She turned the corner and ran against something, or rather somebody, standing next to the door. She rubbed her forehead and looked up, her eyes widening as she noticed it was Dante. She opened her mouth to say something but her throat didn't seem to want to work, tears threatening to fill her eyes again.

Soon enough, Dante heard footsteps signifying that Alvie was coming out, unfortunately she ran into him which threw him off a little, but he managed to regain his composure... She appeared to have opened her mouth as if to say something, but she didnd't yet, he just stood there for a moment, unsure what to do, but then, he had that feeling he knew. There wasn't much thought put into it, but he awkwardly, but steadily leaned forwards and gave her a hug, it was a strange thing to do for him, and he was getting rather nervous doing so, but it just felt right in this situation. A feeling was in his chest again, and he still wasn't sure what it was, but it was there making him feel all light and fuzzy, maybe even calmer than he was before, he wasn't sure how much time had passed, but right now, he didn't care... There were more urgent matters to tend to.

Alvie felt as Dante put his arms around her, enveloping her into a hug, and slightly blushed. She was a little shocked at first, but the feeling was replaced by warmth and a sense of safety. The tears threatening to fall, Alvie wrapped her arms around him, returning the hug. She felt something, deep in her chest and her stomach. It wasn't a bad feeling, but she couldn't tell what it was. The feeling was peaceful, almost as if nothing mattered. The feeling made small tears fall down Alvie's face as she felt a small bit of the major weight on her shoulders lifted. "Thank you, Dante. Thank you so much..." she said softly, clenching her eyes shut. He had been true to his word, Alvie noticed. He had been there for her.

The hug felt more comforting than he imagined at first... It was the first time in a while he'd hugged anyone really, he let his eyes close as he enjoyed this strange feeling of warmth and calmness, he smiled when he felt Alvie relax a little, thanking him. "I-It's the least I could do..." He said quietly, he had to keep his word after all, but was that the only reason? Come to think of it, no it wasn't, even if he didn't say so, he probably would have been there for her anyways... Perhaps he was just tired of getting pushed around by Antonio and the other people who were picking on Alvie, it wasn't too differnet being on Alvies end of the equation anyhow... In fact, he preferred being where he was now, but he couldn't quite explain why.

Alvie unwillingly pulled from the hug and looked up at Dante, her smile bright, auburn eyes sparkling. "At least you're here. That's more than anybody's ever done for me." she said, laughing a bit and wiping the drying tears from her cheeks. She looked up at the clock and noticed the time. "We should get to class. That guy might be making up reasons for why we're gone, and that wouldn't be good for you." she said, lifting her hair to put it back into it's messy ponytail. Despite wanting to hug Dante again for some reason, Alvie straightened her posture and started putting up her internal barrier. She always had it during school, since the gang never left alone. She had a slight feeling that the barrier was getting closer and closer to crumbling, afraid that it will leave her without protection.

Dante smiled feeling glad that at least he did something, as Alvie wiped away her tears and looked at the clock, she reminded him that they needed to get back to class, which he nodded to with a small laugh. "I guess so... He's got nothing on us though, he's the same guy who tripped the teacher." He commented before looking down the hall at their classroom starting to walk down the hall, he made sure to wait for Alvie though before he started walking, he didn't want to seem rude or anything, and plus, he wasn't in such a hurry to get back to class anyways..

Alvie laughed and nodded as she caught up with Dante. She really didn't want to go back to History class, but she knew she had to keep her grades up. If she didn't there would be consequences from her parents at home. Alvie furrowed her brow slightly, looking at Dante's hand as they walked. It shouldn't have been so nerve-wracking to grab someone's hand, but there she was, wondering if she should or not. Instead, Alvie grabbed Dante's arm lightly, feeling her nerves and heartbeat throughout her body. She didn't know why she was so nervous, but she was. Without noticing it, she had blushed a light scarlet.

Hearing Alvie laugh, Dante felt a little calmer, it was the first time he made someone laugh... Well, first time to do it without being a complete idiot that is. Suddenly, he felt her grab his arm out of the blue startling him out of his thoughts, he felt himself blushing a little, looking over at her. She herself seemed rather nervous too, and it appears she was blushing herself, he just hoped the blush would fade by the time they got to class, this would be an awkward thing to have to explain when they got to class after all... Especially since that boy was looking at Alvie funny earlier.

When they reached the class, Alvie let go of Dante's arm and took a deep breath, feeling the color in her face return to normal. She opened the door and walked in, avoiding the other students' eyes as she walked to her chair. As she walked past the boy, she felt something poke the back of her thigh, making her jump. "Leave me alone, you sleaze." she warned quietly before sitting in her chair, sending him a glare. The boy snickered and waggled his fingers at her, making her scrunch her face in disgust. Instead of retaliating, she turned her attention the front of the class, watching the teacher teach.

As they both walked in, each trying to ignore the stares of the other students, that boy poked Alvie earning him that same death glare from Dante he had given him before... He wasn't about to let this slide that easy this time, then he want over with Alvie to their respective desks sitting down and looking towards the teacher again who was back to teaching now. Occasionally, he glanced back that that boy just incase he was about to try something again, he couldn't quite put his finger on why, but that particular boy was really starting to get on his nerves...

The class carried on, and Alvie felt her eyes get droopy. She didn't want to fall asleep during class, but they were told to read silently out of the textbook. Slowly, Alvie's eyes closed as she laid on her arms, close to falling asleep. She felt almost peaceful as she laid there. The boy turned and glanced at Alvie, a sly smile once again on his lips. He narrowed his eyes at Dante, already cooking up a plan in his head. Alvie, meanwhile, was napping peacefully for once.

@york

Dante noticed the boy giving the now napping Alvie that look again, he pretended to look away but instead started looking at that boy from his peripheral vision, sure it was a little awkward, but he needed to keep an eye on him... It seemed "little piggy" had something shady planned for Alvie, and he wasn't about to stand by and just let things progress the way they are right now. He wondered if he should peg that boy with an eraser for a moment, but decided to refrain from doing so for now; there wasn't any need to intervene just yet, but he had a feeling the situation would require some intervention in a moment.

The boy stood up, glancing at the teacher who was reading a book, then made his way to Alvie. When he reached her, he bent down and looked into her face. "Oh, precious little Alvie, safe in her dreams..." he mocked, putting his hands together. "But now, it's time to snap you back to reality." he said, bending down and getting near her ear, pressing a hand on her back. He took in a breath to shout, thinking it would be a good idea to scare the wits out of Alvie.

By now, Dante already had an eraser in his hand, waiting for the right moment; it was a small one, just big enough to make a satisfying thud against someones head, and since it was his backup eraser, it wouldn't be missed too much. Carefully judging hs throw just as the boy was appriaching her, getting near Alvies ear, Dante threw the eraser, and luckily enough, it pegged him on the back of the head. Then, he resumed his previous position where he was looking at the boy from his peripheral vision, he wondered how he'd react to the sudden rubbery projectile hitting him. Of course it's not too easy to decipher where it came from; that boy had been too busy preparing to scare Alvie out of her peacefull nap.
